英文摘要:
Performing fits to all publicly available data, we analyze the extent to which the latest results from the LHC and Tevatron (including new results presented at the Rencontres de Moriond) constrain the couplings of the Higgs boson-like state at ~ 125 GeV, as well as possible decays into invisible particles.
At Moriond 2019, Belle collaboration announced their new measurements on $R_D$ and $R_{D^*}$ which are in agreement with their Standard Model (SM) predictions within $1.2σ$. After inclusion of these measurements, the discrepancy between the world averages and the SM predictions of $R_D$-$R_{D^*}$ comes down from $4.1σ$ to $3.1σ$. Here we do a global fit by taking all measurements in $b\rightarrow cτ\barν$ transition. We find that there are seven allowed new physics solutions, each with different Lorentz structure. Further we show that it is possible to distinguish between them by means of the …
The recent measurement of $R_K$ at LHCb continues to support the hint of violation of lepton flavor universality. We perform a global fit for new physics in semileptonic $b\to s$ transitions using all the relevant data with a Bayesian analysis technique. We include new measurements of $R_K$ at LHCb and new determinations of $R_{K^*}$ and $R_{K^{*+}}$ at Belle. We perform the scan for various NP scenarios and infer the 68\% and 95.4\% credibility regions of the marginalized posterior probability density for all scenarios. We also compare the models in pairs by calculating the Bayes factor given…
Motivated by recent results by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations on the angular distribution of the $B \to K^* μ^+μ^-$ decay, we perform a state-of-the-art analysis of rare $B$ meson decays based on the $b \to s μμ$ transition. Using standard estimates of hadronic uncertainties, we confirm the presence of a sizable discrepancy between data and SM predictions. We do not find evidence for a $q^2$ or helicity dependence of the discrepancy. The data can be consistently described by new physics in the form of a four-fermion contact interaction $(\bar s γ_αP_L b)(\bar μγ^αμ)$. Assuming that the new p…
At Moriond 2019, Belle collaboration has announced new measurements on the flavour ratios $R_D - R_{D^*}$ which are consistent with their Standard Model predictions within $1.2σ$. After inclusion of these measurements, the global tension in $R_D - R_{D^*}$ has reduced from $4.1σ$ to $3.1σ$ which is still significant. The measurements of these ratios indicate towards the violation of lepton flavor universality in $b\rightarrow c\,l\,\barν$ decay. Assuming new physics in $b\rightarrow c\,τ\,\barν$ transition, we have done a global fit to all available data in this sector to identify the allowed …
As the Higgs boson turns 10 this Summer, and the Large Hadron Collider experiments eagerly await the next round of data-taking, the ATLAS collaboration has recently reached important new insights into the Higgs mechanism. This report is a snapshot of Higgs highlights for the MoriondQCD conference, obtained with 139 ifb of Run2 proton-proton collision data taken at centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV.
The anomalies in rare $B$ decays endure. We present results of an updated global analysis that takes into account the latest experimental input -- in particular the recent results on $R_K$ and BR$(B_s \to μ^+μ^-)$ -- and that qualitatively improves the treatment of theory uncertainties. Fit results are presented for the Wilson coefficients of four-fermion contact interactions. We find that muon specific Wilson coefficients $C_9 \simeq -0.73$ or $C_9 = -C_{10} \simeq -0.39$ continue to give an excellent description of the data. If only theoretically clean observables are considered, muon specif…
In view of the emerging hints for the violation of lepton flavour universality in several $B$-meson decays, we conduct a model-independent study (effective field theory approach) of several well-motivated new physics scenarios. Taking into account the most recent LHCb data, we provide updates to Wilson coefficient fits for numerous popular new physics hypotheses. We also consider a promising model of vector leptoquarks, which in addition to explaining the $B$-meson decay anomalies ($R_{K^{(*)}}$ and $R_{D^{(*)}}$) would have an extensive impact for numerous flavour observables. We identify pro…
Following the updated measurement of the lepton flavour universality (LFU) ratio R_K in B -> Kll decays by LHCb, as well as a number of further measurements, e.g. R_K* by Belle and B_s -> mu mu by ATLAS, we analyse the global status of new physics in b -> s transitions in the weak effective theory at the b-quark scale, in the Standard Model effective theory at the electroweak scale, and in simplified models of new physics. We find that the data continues to strongly prefer a solution with new physics in semi-leptonic Wilson coefficients. A purely muonic contribution to the combination C_9 = -C…
Higgs boson signal at complete tree level in the SM extension by dimension-six operators
This work presents a comprehensive overview of the physics of vector boson scattering (VBS) in the dawn of Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Recalled here are some of its most basic physics principles, the historical relation between vector boson scattering and the Higgs boson, then discussed is the physics of VBS processes after Higgs discovery, and the prospects for future VBS measurements at the LHC and beyond. This monograph reviews the work of many people, including previously published theoretical work as well as experimental results, but also contains a portion of original simul…
We provide an update of the global fits of the couplings of the 125.5 GeV Higgs boson using all publicly available experimental results from Run-1 of the LHC as per Summer 2014. The fits are done by means of the new public code Lilith 1.0. We present a selection of results given in terms of signal strengths, reduced couplings, and for the Two-Higgs-Doublet Models of Type I and II.
We examine the leptophilic two Higgs doublet model with fermionic dark matter, considering the range of experimental constraints on the Higgs sector. The measurements of the 125 GeV Higgs from the LHC Run-I allow us to focus on those remaining processes that may play an important role at colliders. We find that the leptophilic model allows for a much lighter Higgs than in other two-Higgs models, although discovery at the LHC will be difficult. Adding a dark matter sector motivated by supersymmetric extensions of the leptophilic model, we find the existing parameter space can accommodate constr…
The first run of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN brought the discovery of the Higgs boson, an apparently elementary scalar particle with a mass of 125 GeV, the avatar of the mechanism that hides the electroweak symmetry. A new round of experimentation is beginning, with the energy of the proton--proton colliding beams raised to 6.5 TeV per beam, from 4 TeV at the end of the first run. This article summarizes what we have learned about the Higgs boson, and calls attention to some issues that will be among our central concerns in the near future.
We consider an extended inflation model in the frame of Higgs portal model, assuming a nonminimal coupling of the scalar field to the gravity. Using the new data from Planck $2013$ and other relevant astrophysical data, we obtain the relation between the nonminimal coupling $ξ$ and the self-coupling $λ$ needed to drive the inflation, and find that this inflationary model is favored by the astrophysical data. Furthermore, we discuss the constraints on the model parameters from the experiments of particle physics, especially the recent Higgs data at the LHC.
We assess the status of models in which the Higgs is a composite pseudo-Nambu Goldstone boson, in the light of the latest 13 TeV Run 2 Higgs data. Drawing from the extensive Composite Higgs literature, we collect together predictions for the modified couplings of the Higgs, in particular examining the different predictions for $κ_V$ and $κ_F$. Despite the variety and increasing complexity of models on the market, we point out that many independent models make identical predictions for these couplings. We then look into further corrections induced by tree-level effects such as mass-mixing and s…
We discuss the current status of theoretical and experimental constraints on the real Higgs singlet extension of the Standard Model. For the second neutral (non-standard) Higgs boson we consider the full mass range from 1 GeV to 1 TeV accessible at past and current collider experiments. We separately discuss three scenarios, namely, the case where the second Higgs boson is lighter than, approximately equal to, or heavier than the discovered Higgs state at around 125 GeV. We investigate the impact of constraints from perturbative unitarity, electroweak precision data with a special focus on hig…
We show that the mechanism of cosmological relaxation of the electroweak scale can take place independently of the inflation mechanism, thus relieving burdens from the original relaxion proposal. What eventually stops the (fast-rolling) relaxion field during its cosmological evolution is the production of particles whose mass is controlled by the Higgs vacuum expectation value. We first show that Higgs particle production does not work for that purpose as the Higgs field does not track the minimum of its potential in the regime where Higgs particles get efficiently produced through their coupl…
We consider the Singlet Majorana fermion dark matter model, in which the standard model particles interact with the dark sector through the mixing of a singlet scalar and the Higgs boson. In this model both the dark matter and the singlet scalar carry lepton number, the latter being a bilepton. We suppose the existence of a $Z_2$ symmetry, remnant of some high energy local symmetry breaking, that stabilizes the Majorana fermion. We analyzed the parameter space of this model and found that the lepton number symmetry breaking scale, drove by the singlet scalar, is constrained to be within hundre…
It is pointed out that a bino-dominated well-tempered bino-higgsino in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with heavy non-SM- like scalars can satisfy the 2016 LUX constraints on the scattering cross-section of dark matter on nuclei only if $\tanβ$ is smaller than about 3. This, together with the Higgs mass constraint, sets a lower bound on the stops masses of about 25 TeV. The LUX constraints can be satisfied for larger $\tanβ$ if the non-SM-like Higgs bosons are light enough. However, this region of parameter space is strongly constrained by recent LHC results of the Higgs boson…
We revisit the constraints on the parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), from charge and color breaking minima in the light of information on the Higgs from the LHC so far. We study the behavior of the scalar potential keeping two light sfermion fields along with the Higgs in the pMSSM framework and analyze the stability of the vacuum. We find that for lightest stop $\lesssim 1$ TeV and small $μ\lesssim 500$ GeV, the absolute stability of the potential can be attained only for $|X_{t}| \lesssim \sqrt{ 6 m_{\tilde{t}_1} m_{\tilde{t}_2}}$. The bounds become stronger…
In order to accommodate the observed Higgs boson mass in the CMSSM, the stops must either be very heavy or the mixing in the stop sector must be very large. Lower stop masses, possibly more accessible at the LHC, still give the correct Higgs mass only if the trilinear stop mixing parameter $|A_t|$ is in the multi-TeV range. Recently it has been shown that such large stop mixing leads to an unstable electroweak vacuum which spontaneously breaks charge or colour. In this work we therefore go beyond the CMSSM and investigate the effects of including baryon number violating operators $λ'' \bar{\bf…
The program HDECAY determines the partial decay widths and branching ratios of the Higgs bosons within the Standard Model with three and four generations of fermions, including the case when the Higgs couplings are rescaled, a general two--Higgs doublet model where the Higgs sector is extended and incorporates five physical states and its most studied incarnation, the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The program addresses all decay channels including the dominant higher-order effects such as radiative corrections and multi-body channels. Since the first launch of the program, more…
We perform a thorough analysis of the parameter space of the minimal left-right supersymmetric model in agreement with the LHC data. The model contains left- and right-handed fermionic doublets, two Higgs bidoublets, two Higgs triplet representations, and one singlet, insuring a charge-conserving vacuum. We impose the condition that the model complies with the experimental constraints on supersymmetric particles masses and on the doubly-charged Higgs bosons, and require that the parameter space of the model satisfy the LHC data on neutral Higgs signal strengths at $2σ$. We choose benchmark sce…
We examine the Higgs triple coupling in MSSM and NMSSM under current constraints, which include the LHC measurements, Higgs data, B physics, electroweak precision observables, relic density and so on. The ratio $λ^{\rm MSSM}_{hhh}/λ^{\rm SM}_{hhh}$ is above 0.97, due to the highly constrained parameter space. While the ratio $λ^{\rm NMSSM}_{hhh}/λ^{\rm SM}_{hhh}$ can reach 0.1 under current constraints. The precise measurement in future collider will give a tighter constraint to the Higgs triple coupling in MSSM and NMSSM.

In this paper we calculate the total and fiducial cross sections as well as differential distributions for the Higgs-strahlung or VH process $p p \to VH \to lν_l/l^- l^+ + H$, (V = W or Z, l=e,$μ$) including QCD and electro-weak corrections up to next-to-leading order before and after reweighting photon PDFs of NNPDF2.3qed, NNPDF3.0qed, MRST2004qed, CT14QEDinc, and LUXqed at the LHC with 13 TeV and Higgs boson mass $\ M_{H}=125$ GeV. The predictions from the various photon PDFs before and after reweighting against each other are in good agreement. The photon PDF uncertainties of the photon-ind…
