We determine the representations of the Yokonuma-Temperley-Lieb algebra, which is defined as a quotient of the Yokonuma-Hecke algebra by generalising the construction of the classical Temperley-Lieb algebra.
We investigate the representation theory of the valenced Temperley-Lieb algebras in mixed characteristic. These algebras, as described in characteristic zero by Flores and Peltola, arise naturally in statistical physics and conformal field theory and are a natural deformation of normal Temperley-Lieb algebras. In general characteristic, they encode the fusion rules for the category of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ tilting modules. We use the cellular properties of the Temperley-Lieb algebras to determine those of the valenced Temperley-Lieb algebras. Our approach is, at heart, entirely diagrammatic a…
In this paper, we define a quotient of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra of type $G(r,1,n)$ as a generalisation of the Temperley-Lieb algebras of type $A$ and $B$. We establish a graded cellular structure for the generalised Temperley-Lieb algebra and, using the technology of $KLR$ algebras, determine the corresponding decomposition matrix.
We study the finite-dimensional simple modules, over an algebraically closed field, of the affine Temperley--Lieb algebra corresponding to the affine Weyl group of type $A$. These turn out to be closely related to the simple modules for a certain $q$-analogue of the annular algebra of V.F.R. Jones.
We provide a necessary and sufficient condition for a type D Temperley-Lieb algebra ${\rm TLD}_n(δ)$ being semi-simple by studying branching rule for cell modules. As a byproduct, our result is used to study the so-called forked Temperley-Lieb algebra, which is a quotient algebra of ${\rm TLD}_n(δ)$.
We construct explicit bases of simple modules and Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand (BGG) resolutions of all simple modules of the (graded) Temperley-Lieb algebra of type B over a field of characteristic zero.
We begin the study of the representation theory of the infinite Temperley-Lieb algebra. We fully classify its finite dimensional representations, then introduce infinite link state representations and classify when they are irreducible or indecomposable. We also define a construction of projective indecomposable representations for $TL_{n}$ that generalizes to give extensions of $TL_{\infty}$ representations. Finally we define a generalization of the spin chain representation and conjecture a generalization of Schur-Weyl duality.
We study some algebraic and combinatorial features of two algebras that arise as quotients of Temperley-Lieb algebras of type $\tilde{C}$, namely, the two-boundary Temperley-Lieb algebra and the symplectic blob algebra. We provide a monomial basis for both algebras. The elements of these bases are parameterized by certain subsets of fully commutative elements. We enumerate these elements according to their affine length.
In this paper we propose a combinatorial framework to study a diagrammatic representation of the affine Temperley-Lieb algebra of type C introduced by Ernst. In doing this, we define two procedures, a decoration algorithm on diagrams and a reduction algorithm on heaps of independent interest. Using this approach, an explicit algorithmic description of Ernst representation map is provided from which its faithfulness can be deduced. We also give a construction of the inverse map.
This article concerns a generalization of the Temperley-Lieb algebra, important in applications to conformal field theory. We call this algebra the valenced Temperley-Lieb algebra. We prove salient facts concerning this algebra and its representation theory, which are both of independent interest and used in our subsequent work, where we uniquely and explicitly characterize the monodromy invariant correlation functions of certain conformal field theories.
We give a combinatorial description of a new diagram algebra, the partial Temperley--Lieb algebra, arising as the generic centralizer algebra $\mathrm{End}_{\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{gl}_2)}(V^{\otimes k})$, where $V = V(0) \oplus V(1)$ is the direct sum of the trivial and natural module for the quantized enveloping algebra $\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{gl}_2)$. It is a proper subalgebra of the Motzkin algebra (the $\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$-centralizer) of Benkart and Halverson. We prove a version of Schur--Weyl duality for the new algebras, and describe their generic representation theory.
The centralizer of the image of the diagonal embedding of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ in the tensor product of three irreducible representations is examined in a Schur-Weyl duality spirit. The aim is to offer a description in terms of generators and relations. A conjecture in this respect is offered with the centralizers presented as quotients of the Askey-Wilson algebra. Support for the conjecture is provided by an examination of the representations of the quotients. The conjecture is also shown to be true in a number of cases thereby exhibiting in particular the Temperley-Lieb, Birman-Murakami-We…
The two boundary Temperley-Lieb algebra $TL_k$ arises in the transfer matrix formulation of lattice models in Statistical Mechanics, in particular in the introduction of integrable boundary terms to the six-vertex model. In this paper, we classify and study the calibrated representations---those for which all the Murphy elements (integrals) are simultaneously diagonalizable---which, in turn, corresponds to diagonalizing the transfer matrix in the associated model. Our approach is founded upon the realization of $TL_k$ as a quotient of the type $C_k$ affine Hecke algebra $H_k$. In previous work…
We introduce a type affine $C$ analogue of the nil Temperley--Lieb algebra, in terms of generators and relations. We show that this algebra $T(n)$, which is a quotient of the positive part of a Kac--Moody algebra of type $D_{n+1}^{(2)}$, has an easily described faithful representation as an algebra of creation and annihilation operators on particle configurations, reminiscent of the open TASEP model in statistical physics. The centre of $T(n)$ consists of polynomials in a certain element $Q$, and $T(n)$ is a free module of finite rank over its centre. We show how to localize $T(n)$ by adjoinin…
Following a procedure due to V. Jones, using suitably normalized elements in a Temperley-Lieb-Jones (planar) algebra we introduce a 3-parametric family of unitary representations of the Thompson's group $F$ equipped with canonical (vacuum) vectors and study some of their properties. In particular, we discuss the behaviour at infinity of their matrix coefficients, thus showing that these representations do not contain any finite type component. We then focus on a particular representation known to be quasi-regular and irreducible and show that it is inequivalent to itself once composed with a c…
