We introduce a framework for $\mathbb{Z}$-gradings on cluster algebras (and their quantum analogues) that are compatible with mutation. To do this, one chooses the degrees of the (quantum) cluster variables in an initial seed subject to a compatibility with the initial exchange matrix, and then one extends this to all cluster variables by mutation. The resulting grading has the property that every (quantum) cluster variable is homogeneous.
In the quantum setting, we use this grading framework to give a construction that behaves somewhat like twisting, in that it produces a new quantum cluster algebra with the same cluster combinatorics but with different quasi-commutation relations between the cluster variables.
We apply these results to show that the quantum Grassmannians admit quantum cluster algebra structures, as quantizations of the cluster algebra structures on the classical Grassmannian coordinate ring found by Scott. This is done by lifting the quantum cluster algebra structure on quantum matrices due to Geiß, Leclerc and Schröer and completes earlier work of the authors on the finite-type cases.
A noncommutative Grassmannian NGr(m, n) is introduced by Efimov, Luntz, and Orlov in `Deformation theory of objects in homotopy and derived categories III: Abelian categories' as a noncommutative algebra associated to an exceptional collection of n-m+1 coherent sheaves on P^n. It is a graded Calabi--Yau Z-algebra of dimension n-m+1. We show that this algebra is coherent provided that the codimension d = n-m of the Grassmannian is two. According to op. cit., this gives a t-structure on the derived category of the coherent sheaves on the noncommutative Grassmannian. The proof is quite different …
The rank $n$ swapping algebra is the Poisson algebra defined on the ordered pairs of points on a circle using the linking numbers, where a subspace of $(\mathbb{K}^n \times \mathbb{K}^{n*})^r/\operatorname{GL}(n,\mathbb{K})$ is its geometric mode. In this paper, we find an injective Poisson homomorphism from the Poisson algebra on Grassmannian $G_{n,r}$ arising from boundary measurement map to the rank $n$ swapping fraction algebra.
In \cite{JKS} we gave an (additive) categorification of Grassmannian cluster algebras, using the category $\CM(A)$ of Cohen-Macaulay modules for a certain Gorenstein order $A$. In this paper, using a cluster tilting object in the same category $\CM(A)$, we construct a compatible pair $(B, L)$, which is the data needed to define a quantum cluster algebra. We show that when $(B, L)$ is defined from a cluster tilting object with rank 1 summands, this quantum cluster algebra is (generically) isomorphic to the corresponding quantum Grassmannian.
We study the relation between quantum affine algebras of type A and Grassmannian cluster algebras. Hernandez and Leclerc described an isomorphism from the Grothendieck ring of a certain subcategory $\mathcal{C}_{\ell}$ of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_n})$-modules to a quotient of the Grassmannian cluster algebra in which certain frozen variables are set to 1. We explain how this induces an isomorphism between the monoid of dominant monomials, used to parameterize simple modules, and a quotient of the monoid of rectangular semistandard Young tableaux. Via the isomorphism, we define an element ch(T) …
We study the 3-parametric family of vertex operator algebras based on the unitary Grassmannian coset CFT $\mathfrak{u}(M+N)_k/(\mathfrak{u}(M)_k \times \mathfrak{u}(N)_k)$. This VOA serves as a basic building block for a large class of cosets and generalizes the $\mathcal{W}_\infty$ algebra. We analyze representations and their characters in detail and find surprisingly simple character formulas for the representations in the generic parameter regime that admit an elegant combinatorial formulation. We also discuss truncations of the algebra and give a conjectural formula for the complete set o…
We present a simple but explicit example of a recent development which connects quantum integrable models with Schubert calculus: there is a purely geometric construction of solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation and their associated Yang-Baxter algebras which play a central role in quantum integrable systems and exactly solvable lattice models in statistical physics. We consider the degenerate five-vertex limit of the asymmetric six-vertex model and identify its associated Yang-Baxter algebra as convolution algebra arising from the equivariant Schubert calculus of Grassmannians. We show how ou…
Generalized affine Grassmannian slices provide geometric realizations for weight spaces of representations of semisimple Lie algebras. They are also Coulomb branches, symplectic dual to Nakajima quiver varieties. In this paper, we prove that neighbouring generalized affine Grassmannian slices are related by Hamiltonian reduction by the action of the additive group. We also prove a weaker version of the same result for their quantizations, algebras known as truncated shifted Yangians.
We describe the monodromy of the equivariant quantum differential equation of the cotangent bundle of a Grassmannian in terms of the equivariant K-theory algebra of the cotangent bundle. This description is based on the hypergeometric integral representations for solutions of the equivariant quantum differential equation. We identify the space of solutions with the space of the equivariant K-theory algebra of the cotangent bundle. In particular, we show that for any element of the monodromy group, all entries of its matrix in the standard basis of the equivariant K-theory algebra of the cotang…
