Parameter space for families of Parabolic-like mappings

In this paper we study analytic families of degree 2 parabolic-like mappings (as we defined in arXiv:1111.7150). We prove that the corresponding family of hybrid conjugacies induces a continuous map, which associates to each parameter the multiplier of the fixed point of the hybrid equivalent rational map P_A. We prove that, under suitable conditions, this map restricts to a ramified covering from the connectedness locus of the family of parabolic-like maps to the connectedness locus M_1 \ {1}.

Families of infinite parabolic IFS with overlaps: the approximating method

Parabolic-like maps

In this paper we introduce the notion of parabolic-like mapping, which is an object similar to a polynomial-like mapping, but with a parabolic external class, i.e. an external map with a parabolic fixed point. We prove a straightening theorem for parabolic-like maps, which states that any parabolic-like map of degree 2 is hybrid conjugate to a member of the family Per_1(1), and this member is unique (up to holomorphic conjugacy) if the filled Julia set of the parabolic-like map is connected.

Transversality in the setting of hyperbolic and parabolic maps

In this paper we consider families of holomorphic maps defined on subsets of the complex plane, and show that the technique developed in \cite{LSvS1} to treat unfolding of critical relations can also be used to deal with cases where the critical orbit converges to a hyperbolic attracting or a parabolic periodic orbit. Typical points and families of expanding interval mappings

We study parametrised families of piecewise expanding interval mappings $T_a \colon [0,1] \to [0,1]$ with absolutely continuous invariant measures $μ_a$ and give sufficient conditions for a point $X(a)$ to be typical with respect to $(T_a, μ_a)$ for almost all parameters $a$. This is similar to a result by D. Schnellmann, but with different assumptions.

In this paper we describe the moduli space of germs of generic families of analytic diffeomorphisms which unfold a parabolic fixed point of codimension 1. In [MRR] (and also [R]), it was shown that the Ecalle-Voronin modulus can be unfolded to give a complete modulus for such germs. The modulus is defined on a ramified sector in the canonical perturbation parameter $\eps$. Generic 2-parameter perturbations of parabolic singular points of vector fields in C

We describe the equivalence classes of germs of generic $2$-parameter families of complex vector fields $\dot z = ω_ε(z)$ on $\mathbb{C}$ unfolding a singular parabolic point of multiplicity $k+1$: $ω_0= z^{k+1} +o(z^{k+1})$. Parabolic arcs of the multicorns: Real-analyticity of Hausdorff dimension, and singularities of $\mathrm{Per}_n(1)$ curves

The boundaries of the hyperbolic components of odd period of the multicorns contain real-analytic arcs consisting of quasi-conformally conjugate parabolic parameters. One of the main results of this paper asserts that the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia sets is a real-analytic function of the parameter along these parabolic arcs. The boundary of chaos for interval mappings

A goal in the study of dynamics on the interval is to understand the transition to positive topological entropy. There is a conjecture from the 1980's that the only route to positive topological entropy is through a cascade of period doubling bifurcations. We prove this conjecture in natural families of smooth interval maps, and use it to study the structure of the boundary of mappings with positive entropy. In particular, we show that in families of mappings with a fixed number of critical points the boundary is locally connected, and for analytic mappings that it is a cellular set.

Dynamical properties of families of holomorphic mappings

We study some dynamical properties of skew products of Hénon maps of $\mbb C^2$ that are fibered over a compact metric space $M$. The problem reduces to understanding the dynamical behavior of the composition of a pseudo-random sequence of Hénon mappings. A Converse Landing Theorem in Parameter Spaces

In this article, we prove that for several one-dimensional holomorphic families of holomorphic maps, in the parameter plane, there exists a local piece of a curve that lands at a given parabolic parameter, in the spirit of well-known results about the quadratic and the exponential families. We also show that, under some assumptions, this general result partially answers the existence and landing questions of ray structures in the parameter planes for holomorphic families of transcendental entire maps.

Rigidity of Julia sets of families of biholomorphic mappings in higher dimension

The goal of this article is to study a rigidity property of Julia sets of certain classes of automorphisms in $\mathbb{C}^k$, $k \ge 3.$ First, we study the relation between two polynomial shift-like maps in $\mathbb{C}^k$, $k \ge 3$, that share the same backward and forward Julia sets (or non-escaping sets). Topological instabilities in families of semilinear parabolic problems subject to nonlinear perturbations

In this article it is proved that the dynamical properties of a broad class of semilinear parabolic problems are sensitive to arbitrarily small but smooth perturbations of the nonlinear term, when the spatial dimension is either equal to one or two. This topological instability is shown to result from a local deformation of the global bifurcation diagram associated with the corresponding elliptic problems.
