We present recent results from the BaBar collaboration in several areas of research. These include searches for new physics via measurements of radiative-penguin B decays, lepton-number and lepton-flavor violations in B decays, and CP violation in tau lepton decays.
The BABAR experiment at the PEP-II asymmetric B factory at SLAC has collected a large sample of data at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance. I will summarize BABAR's new results on CP violation, B mixing and lifetimes, and a selection of rare B decays. In particular, I will describe in detail the measurement of the CP violating parameter $\sin{2β}$; BABAR has observed CP violation in the neutral B system finding $\sin{2β} = 0.59 \pm 0.14 \pm 0.05$.
We present a selection of recent results from studies of rare hadronic B decays based on a sample of 232 million BBbar pairs, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 211/fb, which were recorded with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring.
The BaBar experiment recorded 471 x 10^6 BBbar pairs at the Y(4S) resonance (corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 429 fb^-1). We present here a selection of recent results from the BaBar collaboration: search for lepton-number violation in the decay B^+ -> h^- l^+ l^+, search for lepton-flavor violation in B^+/- -> h^+/- tau l and CP-violation in tau^- -> pi^- KS (>= 0 pi^0) nu_tau.
Recent BABAR and Belle results on rare B decays involving photons or lepton pairs are reviewed. New preliminary limits from both experiments for B-->rho gamma and B-->omega gamma, and from BABAR for B --> K nu nu and B --> tau nu are presented. Also summarized from the past year are Belle measurements of B-->Xs l+l- and B0-->K2(1430) gamma, preliminary BABAR measurements of B-->Xs gamma, and preliminary results from BABAR and Belle on B-->K(*)l+l-. No significant deviations from Standard Model predictions have yet been found.

The angle beta is the most accurately measured quantity that determines the Unitarity Triangle. In this article I review the various measurements of this angle performed by the BaBar Collaboration, and discuss their implications in the search for new physics.
The BABAR detector at SLAC's PEP-II storage ring has collected data equivalent to about 30.4 fb-1 through June 2001. Results on CP violation, and in particular searches for direct CP violation, and measurement of rare B decays are presented.
We present a review of recent results from BaBar experiment. BaBar detector has collected about 256 millions of $B\bar B$ events at PEP-II, the asymmetric $e^+e^-$ collider located at SLAC running at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance. We have studied CP violation in B mesons, observing the first evidence of direct CP violation in B meson decays and measured CP asymmetries relevant for the determination of the angles of the CKM Unitarity Triangle. BaBar physics program covers many other topics, including measurements of CKM matrix elements, charm physics, and search for new physics processes.
Recent results in the field of spectroscopy from the BABAR experiment are reported, with particular attention to the new states observed in ISR and $γγ$ interactions using the full BABAR data sample. We confirm the states Y(4260) and Y(4360) with higher precision and for the first time the state Y(4660) is observed. We do not confirm the Y(4008) state reported by Belle. In addition, the analysis of the invariant mass of the $J/ψω$ system produced in $γγ$ interactions is presented in confirmation of the Belle observation of the X(3915) in this process.
Some recent Babar results on semileptonic decays are presented. They focus on the determination of the CKM matrix elements |V_{ub}| and |V_{cb}| in inclusive and exclusive b --> u l nu and b--> c l nu decays, and on form factors measurement in exclusive c--> s l nu decays.
The BaBar collaboration has accumulated over 400 million tau-pairs which can be used to study charged leptonic and hadronic weak currents to unprecedented precision. We present recent results of B and charm decays from the BaBar experiment. These results include searches for rare or forbidden charm decays, measurements of $|V_{ub}|$ from inclusive ${\bar B} \rightarrow X_u l {\bar ν} $ decays, observation of the semileptonic ${\bar B} \rightarrow D^{(*)} τ^- {\bar ν}_τ$ decays, direct CP violation asymmetry in $B \rightarrow X_{s+d} γ$ and in $D^+\rightarrow K^0_S π^+$, and T-violation in $D^+_{(s)} \rightarrow K^+ K^0_S π^+ π^-$. These studies are based on the final dataset collected by BaBar at the PEP-II B factory at SLAC in the period 1999-2008.
Measurements of the CKM parameter $\sin(2 β)$ have established $CP$ violation in the $B^0$ meson system arising from the interference between mixing and decay. However, direct CP violation, arising from the interference among different terms in the decay amplitude, had not been observed so far. We report a first observation of direct CP violation in $B^{0} \to K^{+} π^{-}$ decays with the BaBar detector. Other selected results based on the search for direct CP violation in several other B decays are also presented.
We review recent charmonium and charmonium-like state from the BaBar B-factory. A particular focus is given to the observation of the decay $X(3872) \to J/ψω$ and to recent $η_{c}(1S)$ and $η_{c}(2S)$ results. The Observation of the $χ_{c2}(2P)$ state will be also discussed
We present the measurements of the CKM matrix parameters Vub, Vcb and of the B mixing oscillation frequency with the BaBar experiment at the asymmetric B-factory PEPII. Data were collected in the years 2000-2002 and the total available statistics corresponds to 91 fb-1. The Vub, Vcb measurements utilize both inclusive and exclusive semileptonic decays of the $B$ meson. The Delta(md) parameter is measured by using the time evolution of the B, determined from the flight length difference between the two B mesons.

In this proceeding, results of searches for CP violation in charm decays using the full BABAR dataset are discussed. The parameter $A_{CP}$ in the decay $D^\pm\to\KSπ^\pm$ is determined to be $(-0.39 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.10)%$. Meaurements of CP violation using \T-odd correlations in the four-body decays D^+->K^+K_S^0π^+π^- and D^+_s->K^+K_S^0π^+π^- are $(-12.0 \pm 10.0_{\stat} \pm 4.6_{\syst}) \times 10^{-3}$ and $(-13.6 \pm 7.7_{\stat} \pm 3.4_{\syst}) \times10^{-3}$, respectively.

We present a measurement of the total width, Gamma_tot, and mass, M, of the eta_c meson with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B-factory at SLAC. The results based on a data sample of 88 fb^-1 are Gamma_tot = (33.3 +- 2.5(stat.) +- 0.8(sys.))MeV and M = (2983.3 +- 1.2 +- 1.8) MeV. An enhancement observed around 3.63 GeV can be interpreted as an evidence for the eta_c(2S) state. In addition a preliminary measurement of the tau lepton lifetime using 30.2 fb^-1 is described. The measured tau lifetime is: (290.8 +- 1.5(stat.) +- 1.6(syst.))fs.
