In the present paper we review recent experimental results from the BaBar experiment concerning the measurement of the CKM angles. A particular highlight is given to the novel independent determination of the angle alpha from B0 -> a_1(1260)+/- pi -/+ and to the recent full-luminosity updates of several angle gamma measurements.

Measurements of the CKM parameter $\sin(2 β)$ have established $CP$ violation in the $B^0$ meson system arising from the interference between mixing and decay. However, direct CP violation, arising from the interference among different terms in the decay amplitude, had not been observed so far. We report a first observation of direct CP violation in $B^{0} \to K^{+} π^{-}$ decays with the BaBar detector. Other selected results based on the search for direct CP violation in several other B decays are also presented.
We present direct CP violation measurements using the full BaBar dataset of 471 million BBbar pairs for the following charmless B decays: B0-->rho0Kstar0, B0-->f0Kstar0, B0-->rho-Kstar+ and for the Dalitz plots of B+-->K+K-K+, B+-->KsKsK+ and B0-->KsK+K-.
We review recent time-dependent measurements in the B meson sector based on data collected between 1999 and 2002 by the BABAR detector, which correspond to approximately 88 million BB pairs.

Using data collected with the BaBar detector at PEP-II at SLAC, we report on several tau lepton measurements that are used to determine the modulus of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element Vus, and to check the Standard Model predictions of lepton universality and CPT conservation.
We search for CP violation in a sample of 4.7x10^4 Cabibbo suppressed D0 -> K+K-pi+pi- decays. We use 470 fb-1 of data recorded by the BaBar detector at the PeP2 asymmetric-energy e+e- storage rings running at center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV. CP violation is searched for in the difference between the T-odd asymmetries, obtained using triple product correlations, measured for D0 and D0b decays. The measured At violation parameter is At = (1.0 +- 5.1_sta +- 4.4_sys) x 10^-3.
We present some recent BABAR measurements of the magnitudes of the elements Vub and Vcb of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark-mixing matrix, and of the angles alpha and gamma of the unitary triangle of the standard model of the electroweak interactions. Most of the measurements presented here are based on the full BABAR Y(4S) dataset, consisting of about 467 million B anti-B pairs.
We present branching fraction and CP asymmetry results for a variety of charmless B decays based on up to 124 fb^-1 collected by the BABAR experiment running near the Upsilon(4S) resonance at the PEP-II e+e- B-factory.

The data sample corresponds to the full BABAAR dataset of 467 million BBbar pairs produced at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
In this proceeding, results of searches for CP violation in charm decays using the full BABAR dataset are discussed. The parameter $A_{CP}$ in the decay $D^\pm\to\KSπ^\pm$ is determined to be $(-0.39 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.10)%$. Meaurements of CP violation using \T-odd correlations in the four-body decays D^+->K^+K_S^0π^+π^- and D^+_s->K^+K_S^0π^+π^- are $(-12.0 \pm 10.0_{\stat} \pm 4.6_{\syst}) \times 10^{-3}$ and $(-13.6 \pm 7.7_{\stat} \pm 3.4_{\syst}) \times10^{-3}$, respectively.
We describe measurements of CP and CPT violation parameters in B^0B^0bar oscillations, performed at BaBar by using BBbar events collected at the Y(4S) mass peak. These are obtained from two different B-reconstruction methods, namely: searching for two inclusive semileptonic B^0 decays in an event or partially reconstructing one of the B^0 mesons in the D* l nu_l channel. The results are in agreement with one another and with the most recent theoretical calculations in the Standard Model scenario.
A sample of 23 million B B-bar events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider is used in a search for direct CP violation in charmless two-body B decays, quasi two-body B decays, and the radiative penguin decays B to K* gamma. No evidence for direct CP violation is found in the considered modes and 90% confidence level limits are reported. We also present a limit on the branching fraction of the decay B0 to gamma gamma.
Results of recent searches for new physics in CP violation in charm decays from the BABAR experiment are presented. These results include a measurement of $D^0$ - $\bar{D}^0$ mixing and searches for CP violation in two-body $D^0$ decays, a search for CP violation in the charm decays $D^{\pm} \to K^0_S K^{\pm}$ and $D^{\pm}_s \to K^0_S K^{\pm}$, $K^0_S π^{\pm}$, and a search for direct CP violation in the singly-Cabibbo suppressed $D^{\pm} \to K^+ K^- π^{\pm}$ decays. These studies are based on the final dataset collected by BABAR at the PEP-II B factory at SLAC in the period 1999-2008. No evid…
The BABAR and Belle experiments have made detailed studies of time-dependent CP violation in the B meson sector. If CPT is conserved, CP violation should imply the presence of time-reversal violation. Production of entangled neutral B mesons in definite flavor states (B0 or anti-B0) decaying to J/psi K_L or c anti-c K_S final states permit comparisons between the probabilities of four pairs of T-conjugated transitions as a function of the time interval between the two B decays. Using 468 million B anti-B pairs produced in Y(4S) decays collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B-factory at …
We present recent results from the BaBar collaboration in several areas of research. These include searches for new physics via measurements of radiative-penguin B decays, lepton-number and lepton-flavor violations in B decays, and CP violation in tau lepton decays.
The BaBar experiment recorded 471 x 10^6 BBbar pairs at the Y(4S) resonance (corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 429 fb^-1). We present here a selection of recent results from the BaBar collaboration: search for lepton-number violation in the decay B^+ -> h^- l^+ l^+, search for lepton-flavor violation in B^+/- -> h^+/- tau l and CP-violation in tau^- -> pi^- KS (>= 0 pi^0) nu_tau.
The BABAR detector, at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory at SLAC collected a sample of 32 million BBbar pairs whilst operating at energies near the Upsilon(4S) resonance between October 1999 and May 2001. An study of time-dependent CP-violating asymmetries in events where one neutral B meson is fully reconstructed in a final state containing charmonium produced the measurement sin2beta = 0.59 +- 0.14 (stat) +- 0.05 (syst), which constitutes an observation of CP violation in the B0 meson system at the 4 sigma level. Also presented are preliminary results from a study of CP violation in the decays…
In the Standard Model \CP violation in charm decays is expected to be very small, at the level of 0.1% or less. A significant excess of \CP violation with respect to the Standard Model predictions would be a signature of new physics. We report on recent searches for \CP violation in charm meson decays at \babar, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 470 \invfb. In particular, we report on searches for \CPV in the 3-body $\Dp\to\Kp\Km\pip$ decay and for decay modes with a \KS in the final state, such as $\Dp\to\KS\Kp$, $\Ds\to\KS\Kp$, $\Ds\to\KS\pip$. A lifetime…

The BaBar experiment has recently obtained some important results in the search for new physics in leptonic and lepton flavor violating decays, exploiting the complete datasets collected at the $Υ(4S)$, $Υ(3S)$ and $Υ(2S)$ energies. In addition, we present preliminary measurements of charged and neutral B meson lifetimes and B^0-anti-B^0 oscillation frequency.

From charmless 2-body B decays we measure A_Kpi =-0.05 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.01(-0.14,+0.05), S_pipi = -0.01 +/- 0.37 +/- 0.07(-0.66,+0.62), C_pipi =-0.02 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.07(-0.54,+0.48). A number of B lifetime and mixing parameters, extracted from subsamples of this data set, …
We report the observation of CP violation in the $B^0$ meson system. Using a novel technique for time-dependent measurements, we measure a non-zero value for the CP-violating amplitude $\sin 2β$ at the 4.1 $σ$ level. We also report on precision measurements of the $B^+$ and $B^0$ lifetimes and the $B^0\bar{B}^0$ mixing frequency $Δm_d$ obtained with the same technique and on a first measurement of the time-dependent CP-violating amplitude in $B^0\to π^+π^-$ decays.
The BABAR experiment at the PEP-II asymmetric B factory at SLAC has collected a large sample of data at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance. I will summarize BABAR's new results on CP violation, B mixing and lifetimes, and a selection of rare B decays. In particular, I will describe in detail the measurement of the CP violating parameter $\sin{2β}$; BABAR has observed CP violation in the neutral B system finding $\sin{2β} = 0.59 \pm 0.14 \pm 0.05$.

The BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory at SLAC collected a sample of 23M B-anti-B pairs in the years 1999 and 2000. Using this data sample, we measure the amplitude of the time-dependent CP-violating asymmetry in neutral B decays to the CP eigenstates B0 --> J/psi K0S, B0 --> psi(2S) K0S and B0 --> J/psi K0L. We find a value of sin2beta = 0.34 +/- 0.20 (stat) +/- 0.05 (syst). We also present preliminary measurements of the B^0-anti-B^0 oscillation frequency and of the lifetimes of charged and neutral B mesons.

We present the new and updated $BABAR$ measurements of CP-violation studies for many $b\to s $ penguin decay modes. We report the first observation of mixing-induced CP-violation in $B^0 \to η^{'} K^0$ with a significance (including systematic uncertainties) of 5.5$σ$. We also present the first observation of the decay $B^0 \to ρ^0 K^0$. Using the time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of $B^0\to K^+K^- K^0$ decay, the CP-parameters $\mathcal A_{CP}$ and $β_{eff}$ are measured with $4.8σ$ significance, and we reject the solution near $π/2 - β_{eff}$ at $4.5σ$. We also present the updated measurem…
We report on a measurement of D0-D0bar mixing and a search for CP violation in the D0->K+K-, pi+pi- and K+-pi-+ channels. We use D0's coming from D*+ decays, so that the flavour of the D0 at production is tagged by the charge of the pion that is also emitted. We also use an independent set of D0's coming directly from the hadronization of the charm quark, but in this case the flavour of the charmed meson is not known. We analyze events collected by the BaBar experiment at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 468 fb-1. We measure the mixing pa…
We present a review of recent results from BaBar experiment. BaBar detector has collected about 256 millions of $B\bar B$ events at PEP-II, the asymmetric $e^+e^-$ collider located at SLAC running at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance. We have studied CP violation in B mesons, observing the first evidence of direct CP violation in B meson decays and measured CP asymmetries relevant for the determination of the angles of the CKM Unitarity Triangle. BaBar physics program covers many other topics, including measurements of CKM matrix elements, charm physics, and search for new physics processes.
CP violation in B0B0bar mixing is characterized by the value of the parameter |q/p| being different from 1, and the Standard Model predicts this difference to be smaller than 10^{-3}. We present a measurement of this parameter using a partial reconstruction of one of the B mesons in the semileptonic channel D*- l+ nu_l, where only the hard lepton and the soft pion from the D*- --> D0bar pi- decay are reconstructed. The flavor of the other B is determined by means of lepton tagging. The determination of |q/p| is then performed with a fit to the proper time difference of the two B decays. We use…
Using a data sample of 62 million \FourS\to B\Bbar decays collected between 1999 and 2001 by the BaBar detector at the PEP2 asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC we study events in which one neutral B meson is fully reconstructed in a final state containing a charmonium meson and the flavour of the other neutral B meson is determined from its decay products. The amplitude of the CP-violating asymmetry, which in the Standard Model is proportional to sin(2 beta), is derived from the decay time distributions. We measure sin(2 beta) = 0.75 \pm 0.09 (stat) \pm 0.04 (syst) and |λ| = 0.92 \pm 0.06 (sta…

In this proceedings we present a measurement of mixing, and searches for direct and indirect CP asymmetries in the charm sector using the full \babar data sample of $469 \invfb$. Searches for direct CP asymmetries have been performed in the $D^{\pm} \to K^0_{\scriptscriptstyle S} K^\pm$, $D_s^{\pm} \to K^0_{\scriptscriptstyle S} K^\pm$, $D_s^{\pm}\to K^0_{\scriptscriptstyle S} π^\pm$, and $D^{\pm} \to K^+ K^- π^\pm$ decay channels, with both model-dependent and model-independent approaches being exploited for the last mode. The mixing measurement and the search for indirect CP asymmetry have b…
