We report on our study of the infrared gluon propagator for SU(2) lattice gauge theory using large lattice volumes. The observed massive behavior is discussed from the point of view of analytic predictions for the zero-temperature case. Such a behavior is still present as the temperature is switched on, but manifests itself differently in the electric and magnetic channels.
We report preliminary results of our ongoing lattice computation of the Landau gauge quark propagator and the soft gluon limit of the quark-gluon vertex with 2 flavors of dynamical O(a) improved Wilson fermions.
We report on the lattice computation of the Landau gauge gluon propagator at finite temperature, including the non-zero Matsubara frequencies. Moreover, the corresponding Källén-Lehmann spectral density is computed, using a Tikhonov regularisation together with the Morozov discrepancy principle. Implications for gluon confinement are also discussed.
We consider the potential-model approach for obtaining the spectrum of charmonium and bottomonium, replacing the usual gluon propagator by one obtained from lattice simulations. The resulting spectra are compared to the corresponding ones in the Cornell-potential case. We also estimate the interquark distance in both cases.
We study the transverse and longitudinal gluon propagators in the Landau-gauge lattice QCD with gauge group $SU(2)$ at nonzero quark chemical potential and zero temperature. We show that both propagators demonstrate substantial dependence on the quark chemical potential. This observation contradicts to earlier findings by other groups.
The quenched gluon and ghost propagator data published in [1] is reanalysed following the suggestion of [2] to resolve the differences between the infrared data of the simulations. Our results confirms that the procedure works well either for the gluon or for the ghost propagator but not for both propagators simultaneously as the observed deviations in the data follow opposite patterns. Definitive conclusions require improving the determination of the (ratios) of lattice spacings. A simple procedure for the relative calibration of the lattice spacing in lattice simulations is suggested.
Correlation functions of Landau gauge Yang-Mills theory are calculated from their equations of motion. Solutions for the three- and four-gluon vertices and the role of two-loop diagrams in the gluon propagator equation are discussed.
We compute the two loop corrections to the gluon propagator for low momentum in a gluon mass model. This model has recently been proposed as an alternative to the Gribov construction in the way it handles Gribov copies in the gauge fixing. The corrections provide improvements for estimating the point where the gluon propagator freezes in relation to lattice data.
The non-perturbative structure of the photon and gluon propagators plays an important role in governing the dynamics of quantum electrodynamics (QED) and quantum chromodynamics (QCD) respectively. Although it is often assumed that these interacting field propagators can be decomposed into longitudinal and transverse components, as for the free case, it turns out that in general this is not possible. Moreover, the non-abelian gauge symmetry of QCD permits the momentum space gluon propagator to contain additional singular terms involving derivatives of $δ(p)$, the appearance of which is related …
We study the SU(3) gluon propagator in renormalizable $R_ξ$ gauges implemented on a symmetric lattice with a total volume of (3.25 fm)$^4$ for values of the guage fixing parameter up to $ξ=0.5$. As expected, the longitudinal gluon dressing function stays constant at its tree-level value $ξ$. Similar to the Landau gauge, the transverse $R_ξ$ gauge gluon propagator saturates at a non-vanishing value in the deep infrared for all values of $ξ$ studied. We compare with very recent continuum studies and perform a simple analysis of the found saturation with a dynamically generated effective gluon ma…
Starting from the lattice Landau gauge gluon and ghost propagator data we use a sequence of Padé approximants, identify the poles and zeros for each approximant and map them into the analytic structure of the propagators. For the Landau gauge gluon propagator the Padé analysis identifies a pair of complex conjugate poles and a branch cut along the negative real axis of the Euclidean $p^2$ momenta. For the Landau gauge ghost propagator the Padé analysis shows a single pole at $p^2 = 0$ and a branch cut also along the negative real axis of the Euclidean $p^2$ momenta. The method gives precise es…
Using SU(2) lattice QCD in two dimensions, we study diagonal and off-diagonal gluon propagators in the maximally Abelian gauge (MAG) with U(1)$_3$ Landau gauge fixing. These propagators are investigated both in momentum space and coordinate space. The Monte Carlo simulation is performed at $β=7.99, 30.5,$ and $120$ on $62^2, 128^2,$ and $256^2$ at the quenched level. In the momentum space, the transverse component of the diagonal gluon propagator shows suppression with increasing $β$ in the infrared region and the dressing function at $β=120$ has a maximum at $p^2 \simeq 4$GeV, while the trans…
