We study by means of the recursive Green's function technique the local density-of-states of (finite and semi-infinite) multi-band spin-orbit coupled semiconducting nanowires in proximity to an s-wave superconductor and attached to normal-metal electrodes. When the nanowire is coupled to a normal electrode, the zero-energy peak, corresponding to the Majorana state in the topological phase, broadens with increasing transmission between the wire and the leads, eventually disappearing for ideal interfaces. Interestingly, for a finite transmission a peak is present also in the normal electrode, even though it has a smaller amplitude and broadens more rapidly with the strength of the coupling. Unpaired Majorana states can survive close to a topological phase transition even when the number of open channels (defined in the absence of superconductivity) is even. We finally study the Andreev-bound-state spectrum in superconductor-normal metal-superconductor junctions and find that in multi-band nanowires the distinction between topologically trivial and non-trivial systems based on the number of zero-energy crossings is preserved.
Recent development in fabrication of hybrid nanostructures allows for creation of quantum interferometers that combine semiconductor and superconductor materials. We show that in those nanostructures the joint phenomena of Aharonov-Bohm effect and Andreev reflections can be used to determine the length on which the electron is retro-reflected as a hole. We propose to exploit this feature for probing of the quasiparticle coherence length in semiconductor-superconductor hybrids by a magnetoconductance measurement.
The objective of the present paper is to investigate the proximity effect in junctions of superconductors with carbon nanotubes. The method is the lattice BdG equations within the Hubbard model. The proximity effect depends sensitively on the connection giving the possibility to control the proximity effect by performing simple geometrical changes in the hybrid system
We present evidence for the cooling of normal metal phonons by electron tunneling in a Superconductor - Normal metal - Superconductor tunnel junction. The normal metal electron temperature is extracted by comparing the device current-voltage characteristics to the theoretical prediction. We use a quantitative model for the phonon cooling that includes the electron-phonon coupling in the normal metal and the Kapitza resistance between the substrate and the metal. It gives an excellent fit to the data and enables us to extract an effective phonon temperature in the normal metal.
The spatial variations of the pair amplitude, and the local density of states in d-wave or s-wave superconductor-ferromagnet hybrid structures are calculated self consistently using the Bogoliubov-deGennes formalism within the two dimensional extended Hubbard model. We describe the proximity effect in superconductor / ferromagnet (SF) bilayers, FSF trilayers, and interfaces between a superconductor and a ferromagnetic domain wall. We investigate in detail the role played by the pairing symmetry, the exchange field, interfacial scattering and crossed Andreev reflection.
One of the most promising platforms for one-dimensional topological superconductivity is based on semiconducting nanowires with strong spin-orbit coupling (SOC), where s-wave superconductivity is induced by proximity effect and an external Zeeman field drives the system into the topological superconducting phase with Majorana bound states (MBSs) at the end of the wire. During last years this idea has led to a great number of important experiments in hybrid superconductor-semiconductor systems, where the main signature is an emergent zero-bias peak (ZBP) in the differential conductance as the Z…
We investigate the impact of electrostatics on the proximity effect between a magnetic insulator and a semiconductor wire in semiconductor-superconductor-magnetic insulator hybrid structures. By performing self-consistent Schr$\ddot{\rm o}$dinger-Poisson calculations using an effective model of the hybrid system, we find that large effective Zeeman fields consistent with the emergence of topological superconductivity emerge within a large parameter window in wires with overlapping layers of magnetic insulator and superconductor, but not in non-overlapping structures. We show that this behavior…
The technology of superconductor-semiconductor nanowire devices has matured in the last years in the quest for topological quantum computing. This makes it feasible to make more complex and sophisticated devices. We investigate multi-terminal superconductor-semiconductor wires to access feasibility of another topological phenomenon: Weyl singularities in their spectrum. We have found an abundance of Weyl singularities for devices with intermediate size of the electrodes. We describe their properties and the ways the singularities emerge and disappear upon variation of the setup parameters.
Surface atomic-layer (SAL) superconductors consisting of epitaxially grown metal adatoms on a clean semiconductor surface have been recently established. Compared to conventional metal thin films, they have two important features: i) space-inversion symmetry breaking throughout the system and ii) high sensitivity to surface adsorption of foreign species. These potentially lead to manifestation of the Rashba effect and a Zeeman field exerted by adsorbed magnetic organic molecules. After introduction of archetypical SAL superconductor Si(111)-(root7xroot3)-In, we describe how these features are …
Proposals for studying topological superconductivity and Majorana bound states in nanowires proximity coupled to superconductors require that transport in the nanowire is ballistic. Previous work on hybrid nanowire-superconductor systems has shown evidence for Majorana bound states, but these experiments were also marked by disorder, which disrupts ballistic transport. In this letter, we demonstrate ballistic transport in InSb nanowires interfaced directly with superconducting Al by observing quantized conductance at zero-magnetic field. Additionally, we demonstrate that the nanowire is proxim…
Spin-polarized normal-metal wires coupled to a superconductor can host Majorana states at their ends. These decay into the bulk and are protected by a minigap in the spectrum. Previous studies have found that strong coupling between the superconductor and the normal-metal wire renormalizes the properties of this low-energy phase. Here, we develop a semiclassical scattering approach to explain these renormalization effects. We show that a renormalization of the propagation velocity in the normal wire originates from double Andreev reflection processes at the superconductor interface and that it…
Shot noise in a voltage source changes the character of the quantum (dissipative) phase transition in an ultrasmall Josephson junction: The superconductor-insulator transition transforms into the superconductor-metal transition. In the metallic phase the IV curve probes the voltage distribution generated by shot noise, whereas in the superconducting phase it probes the counting statistics of electrons traversing the noise junction.
We report on a new type of Fano effect, named as Andreev-Fano effect, in a hybrid normal-metal / superconductor (N/S) interferometer embedded with a quantum dot. Compared with the conventional Fano effect, Andreev-Fano effect has some new features related to the characteristics of Andreev reflection. In the linear response regime, the line shape is the square of the conventional Fano shape; while in the nonlinear transport, a sharp resonant structure is superposed on an expanded interference pattern, qualitatively different from the conventional Fano effect. The phase dependence of the hybrid …
We present current noise measurements in a long diffusive superconductor-normal-metal-superconductor junction in the low voltage regime, in which transport can be partially described in terms of coherent multiple Andreev reflections. We show that, when decreasing voltage, the current noise exhibits a strong divergence together with a broad peak. We ascribe this peak to the mixing between the ac- Josephson current and the noise of the junction itself. We show that the junction noise corresponds to the thermal noise of a nonlinear resistor 4kBT=R with R V = I V and no adjustable parameters.
We investigate zero-bias conductance peaks that arise from coalescing subgap Andreev states, consistent with emerging Majorana zero modes, in hybrid semiconductor-superconductor wires defined in a two-dimensional InAs/Al heterostructure using top-down lithography and gating. The measurements indicate a hard superconducting gap, ballistic tunneling contact, and in-plane critical fields up to $3$~T. Top-down lithography allows complex geometries, branched structures, and straightforward scaling to multicomponent devices compared to structures made from assembled nanowires.
Transport studies of Andreev bound states (ABSs) are complicated by the interplay of charging effects and superconductivity. Here, we compare transport approaches to ABS spectroscopy in a semiconductor-superconductor island to a charge-sensing approach based on an integrated radio-frequency single-electron transistor. Consistency of the methods demonstrates that fast, non-invasive charge sensing allows accurate quantitative measurement of ABSs while eluding some complexities of transport.
We develop a scenario to engineer a topological phase with Majorana edge states based on an integer quantum Hall (QH) system proximity coupled to a superconductor (SC). Due to the vortices in the SC order parameter, the SC - QH hybrid system is described by a Bloch problem with ten unpaired momenta, corresponding to the maxima and saddle points of the SC order parameter. For external potentials respecting the symmetry of the vortex lattice, the states with unpaired momenta have degeneracies such that the system always is in a trivial phase. However, an incommensurate potential can lift the deg…
Two-dimensional superconductors with time-reversal symmetry have a Z_2 topological invariant, that distinguishes phases with and without helical Majorana edge states. We study the topological phase transition in a class-DIII network model, and show that it is associated with a metal-insulator transition for the thermal conductance of the helical superconductor. The localization length diverges at the transition with critical exponent nu approx 2.0, about twice the known value in a chiral superconductor.
We analyze the transport through a narrow ballistic superconductor-normal- metal-superconductor Josephson contact with non-ideal transmission at the superconductor-normal-metal interfaces, e.g., due to insulating layers, effective mass steps, or band misfits (SIN interfaces). The electronic spectrum in the normal wire is determined through the combination of Andreev- and normal reflection at the SIN interfaces. Strong normal scattering at the SIN interfaces introduces electron- and hole-like resonances in the normal region which show up in the quasi-particle spectrum. These resonances have str…
We report the investigation of electron transport through a four-terminal graphene-superconductor hybrid system. Due to the quantum interference of the reflected holes from two graphene-superconductor interfaces with phase difference $θ$, it is found that the specular Andreev reflection vanishes at $θ=0$ while the Andreev retroreflection disappears at $θ=π$. This means that the retroreflection and specular reflection can be easily controlled and separated in this device. In addition, due to the diffraction effect in the narrow graphene nanoribbon, the reflected hole can exit from both graphene…
We consider a quantum Hall (QH) region in contact with a superconductor (SC), i.e., a QH-SC junction. Due to successive Andreev reflections, the QH-SC interface hosts hybridized electron and hole edge states called chiral Andreev edge states (CAES). We theoretically study the transport properties of these CAES by using a microscopic, tight-binding model. We find that the transport properties strongly depend on the contact geometry and the value of the filling factor. We notice that it is necessary to add local barriers at the corners of the junction in order to reproduce such properties, when …
We study a superconducting quantum point contact made of a narrow In$_{0.75}% $Ga$_{0.25}$As channel with Nb proximity electrodes. The narrow channel is formed in a gate-fitted constriction of InGaAs/InAlAs/InP heterostructure hosting a two-dimensional electron gas. When the channel opening is varied with the gate, the Josephson critical current exhibits a discretized variation that arises from the quantization of the transverse momentum in the channel. The quantization of Josephson critical current persists down to the single-channel regime, providing an unambiguous demonstration of a semicon…
Hybrid superconductor-semiconductor devices are currently one of the most promising platforms for realizing Majorana zero modes. Their topological properties are controlled by the band alignment of the two materials, as well as the electrostatic environment, which are currently not well understood. Here, we pursue to fill in this gap and address the role of band bending and superconductor-semiconductor hybridization in such devices by analyzing a gated single Al-InAs interface using a self-consistent Schrodinger-Poisson approach. Our numerical analysis shows that the band bending leads to an i…
We show that the interplay of cyclotron motion and Andreev reflection experienced by massless-Dirac-like charge carriers in topological-insulator surface states generates a Majorana-particle excitation. Based on an envelope-function description of the Dirac-Andreev edge states, we discuss the kinematic properties of the Majorana mode and find them to be possible to be tuned by changing the superconductor's chemical potential and/or the magnitude of the perpendicular magnetic field. Our proposal opens up new possibilities for studying Majorana fermions in a controllable setup.
We have studied superconductor/normal metal/superconductor (SNS) junctions consisting of short Au or Cu wires between Nb or Al banks. The Nb based junctions display inherent electron heating effects induced by the high thermal resistance of the NS boundaries. The Al based junctions show in addition subharmonic gap structures in the differential conductance dI/dV and a pronounced peak in the excess noise at very low voltages V. We suggest that the noise peak is caused by fluctuations of the supercurrent at the onset of Josephson coupling between the superconducting banks. At intermediate temper…
Crossed Andreev reflections and cotunneling occur between two neighbouring superconductor- normal metal or superconducting-ferromagnet interfaces. Previous works assumed a clean BCS superconductor. Here the calculation of the corresponding crossed conductance terms is generalized to a dirty superconductor. The range of the effect is shown to be the coherence length $\tildeξ = \sqrt{\hbar D/Δ}$, instead of the BCS coherence length $ξ_0$. Moreover, in three dimensions, the algebraic prefactor scales as $1/r$ instead of $1/r^2$. The calculation involves the virtual diffusion probability of quasip…
We study the low-energy edge states of a superconductor -- 3D topological-insulator hybrid structure (NS junction) in the presence of a perpendicular magnetic field. The hybridization of electron-like and hole-like Landau levels due to Andreev reflection gives rise to chiral edge states within each Landau level. We show that by changing the chemical potential of the superconductor, this junction can be placed in a regime where the sign of the effective charge of the edge state within the zeroth Landau level changes more than once resulting in neutral edge modes with a finite value of the guidi…
We analyze the full counting statistics (FCS) of a single-site quantum dot coupled to multiple metallic electrodes in the normal state and a superconductor for arbitrary transmission. We present an analytical solution of the problem taking into account the full energy dependence of the transmission coefficient. We identify two transport processes as sources of entanglement between the current carriers by observing positive cross current correlations. Furthermore, we consider ferromagnetic electrodes and show how they can be used as detectors in experiments violating the Bell-Clauser-Horne-Shim…
Electrons can be reflected at an interface between two metals because of a dielectric barrier or different properties of the Fermi surface. Andreev reflection allows to directly measure normal reflection when one of the metals is a superconductor. We have investigated normal reflection at interfaces between non-magnetic normal metals and superconducting Nb (Tc = 9.2 K) and Al (Tc = 1.2 K). The distribution of the values of the relative strength of the interface barrier, Z, for a number of contacts of a specific metal combination shows a well-defined peak which can be attributed to Fermi surfac…
We study a transverse electron-hole focusing effect in a normal-superconductor system. The spectrum of the quasiparticles is calculated both quantum mechanically and in semiclassical approximation, showing an excellent agreement. A semiclassical conductance formula is derived which takes into account the effect of electron-like as well as hole-like quasiparticles. At low magnetic field the semiclassical conductance shows characteristic oscillations due to the Andreev reflection, while at higher fields it goes to zero. These findigs are in line with the results of previous quantum calculations …
We study the consequences of non-equilibrium heating and inverse proximity effect in normal metal - insulator - superconductor - insulator - normal metal (NISIN) junctions with a simple quasi-one-dimensional model. We especially focus on observables and parameter regions that are of interest in the design of SINIS coolers with quasiparticle traps. We present numerical results calculated by solving the Usadel equation and also present analytical approximations in two limiting cases: a short junction with a non-negligible resistance in both ends and a long junction with a transparent contact at …
Hybrid superconductor-semiconducting nanowire devices provide an ideal platform to investigating novel intragap bound states, such as the Andreev bound states (ABSs), Yu-Shiba-Rusinov (YSR) states, and the Majorana bound states. The competition between Kondo correlations and superconductivity in Josephson quantum dot (QD) devices results in two different ground states and the occurrence of a 0-$π$ quantum phase transition. Here we report on transport measurements on hybrid superconductor-InSb nanowire QD devices with different device geometries. We demonstrate a realization of continuous gate-…
We have investigated theoretically the conductance of a Normal-Superconductor point-contact in the tunnel limit and analyzed the quantum interference effects originating from the scattering of quasiparticles by point-like defects. Analytical expressions for the oscillatory dependence of the conductance on the position of the defect are obtained for the defect situated either in the normal metal, or in the superconductor. It is found that the amplitude of oscillations significantly increases when the applied bias approaches the gap energy of the superconductor. The spatial distribution of the o…
The hybrid combination of superconductors and low-dimensional semiconductors offers a versatile ground for novel device concepts, such as sources of spin-entangled electrons, nanoscale superconducting magnetometers, or recently proposed qubits based on topologically protected Majorana fermions. The underlying physics behind such hybrid devices ultimately rely on the magnetic properties of sub-gap excitations, known as Andreev levels. Here we report the Zeeman effect on the Andreev levels of a semiconductor nanowire quantum dot (QD) strongly coupled to a conventional superconductor. The combina…
We show theoretically that quantized zero-bias conductance peaks should be ubiquitous in superconductor-semiconductor hybrids by employing a zero-dimensional random matrix model with continuous tuning parameters. We demonstrate that a normal metal-superconductor (NS) junction conductance spectra can be generically obtained in this model replicating all features seen in recent experimental results. The theoretical quantized conductance peaks, which explicitly do not arise from spatially isolated Majorana zero modes, are easily found by preparing a contour plot of conductance over several indepe…
In this paper, a brief review of the history of topological insulators is given. After that, electronic transport experiments in topological insulator-superconductor hybrid structures, including experimental methods, physical properties and seemingly contradictory observations are discussed. Additionally, some new topological insulator hybrid structures are proposed.
In this paper we review some recent results concerning the physics of superconductor - Luttinger liquid proximity systems. We discuss both equilibrium (the pair amplitude, Josephson current, and the local density of states) and nonequilibrium (the subgap current) properties.
We present an overview of the contributions made by Konstantin B. Efetov and the authors to the field of triplet odd-frequency superconductivity in hybrid ferromagnet-superconductor structures and the repercussions they had on experimental and theoretical research. Konstantin B. Efetov passed away in August 2021. We hope the present short review gives a faithful testimony of an important part of his scientific legacy.
A theory of the proximity effect in normal metal - multiband superconductor hybrid structures is formulated within the quasiclassical Green's function formalism. It is shown that the existence of multiple superconducting bands manifests itself as the occurence of additional peaks in the density of states in the structure. The interplay between the proximity effect and the interband coupling influences the magnitudes of the gaps in a superconductor in a non-trivial way. The developed theory is applied to the calculation of supercurrent in multiband Superconductor - Normal metal - Superconductor…
In mesoscopic superconductor/normal-metal/superconductor (SNS) heterostructures, it is known that the resistance of the normal metal between the superconductors has a strong temperature dependence. Based on this phenomenon, we have developed a new type of thermometer, which dramatically enhances our ability to measure the local electron temperature Te at low temperatures. Using this technique, we have been able to measure small temperature gradients across a micron-size sample, opening up the possibility of quantitatively measuring the thermal properties of mesoscopic devices.
Implementing superconductors capable of proximity-inducing a large energy-gap in semiconductors in the presence of strong magnetic fields is a major goal towards applications of semiconductor/superconductor hybrid materials in future quantum information technologies. Here, we study the performance of devices consisting of InAs nanowires in electrical contact to molybdenum-rhenium (MoRe) superconducting alloys. The MoRe thin films exhibit transition temperatures ~10 K and critical fields exceeding 6 T. Normal/superconductor devices enabled tunnel spectroscopy of the corresponding induced superc…
We present measurements of current noise and cross-correlations in three-terminal Superconductor-Normal metal-Superconductor (S-N-S) nanostructures that are potential solid-state entanglers thanks to Andreev reflections at the N-S interfaces. The noise correlation measurements spanned from the regime where electron-electron interactions are relevant to the regime of Incoherent Multiple Andreev Reflection (IMAR). In the latter regime, negative cross-correlations are observed in samples with closely-spaced junctions.
A dc electric current can be induced in a hybrid semiconductor-superconductor system under illumination it by a circularly polarized light with the frequency below the energy of semiconductor interband transitions. In conditions when the light beam is unable to create real electron-hole excitations, this phenomenon is reminiscent of the Meissner effect in the static magnetic field. Such an effect can be employed in systems combining cavity photons and superconducting quantum circuits.
Majorana bound states in topological superconductors have been predicted to appear in the form of zero-bias conductance peaks of height $2e^{2}/h$, which represents one of the most studied signatures so far. Here, we show that quasi zero-energy states, similar to Majorana bound states, can naturally form in any superconducting hybrid junction due to confinement effects, without relation to topology. Remarkably, these topologically trivial quasi zero-energy states produce zero-bias conductance peaks, thus mimicking the most representative Majorana signature. Our results put forward confinement …
We consider the chi_0 dependence of the density of states inside the normal metal of a superconductor - normal metal - superconductor (SNS) junction. Here chi_0 is the phase difference of two superconductors of the junction. It is shown that in the absence of electron-electron interaction the energy dependence of the density of states has a gap which decreases as chi_0 increases and closes at chi_0= pi. Both the analytical expressions for the chi_0 dependence of the density of states and the results of numerical simulations are presented.
Contacting a bilayer ferromagnet with a singlet even-frequency superconductor allows for the realization of an effective triplet odd-frequency superconductor. In this work, we investigate the Josephson effect between superconductors with different symmetries (e.g. odd- versus even-frequency). In particular, we study the supercurrent flowing between two triplet odd-frequency superconducting leads through a weak singlet even-frequency superconductor. We show that the peculiar temperature dependence of the critical current below the superconducting transition of the weak superconductor is a signa…
We report on the experimental observation of nonlocal spin-dependent thermoelectric effects in superconductor-ferromagnet multiterminal structures. Our samples consist of a thin superconducting aluminum wire with several ferromagnetic tunnel junctions attached to it. When a thermal excitation is applied to one of the junctions in the presence of a Zeeman splitting of the density of states of the superconductor, a thermoelectric current is observed in remote junctions at distances exceeding $10~\mathrm{μm}$. The results can be explained by recent theories of coupled spin and heat transport in h…
Topological superconductors are predicted to harbor exotic boundary states - Majorana zero-energy modes - whose non-Abelian braiding statistics present a new paradigm for the realization of topological quantum computing. Using low-temperature scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS), we here report on the direct real-space visualization of chiral Majorana edge states in a monolayer topological superconductor, a prototypical magnet-superconductor hybrid system comprised of nano-scale Fe islands of monoatomic height on a Re(0001)-O(2$\times$1) surface. In particular, we demonstrate that interface e…
We show that spin-polarized electron transmission across semiconductor/superconductor (Sm/S) hybrid structures depends sensitively on the degree of spin polarization as well as the strengths of potential and spin-flip scattering at the interface. We demonstrate that increasing the Fermi velocity mismatch in the Sm and S regions can lead to enhanced junction transparency in the presence of spin polarization. We find that the Andreev reflection amplitude at the superconducting gap energy is a robust measure of the spin polarization magnitude, being independent of the strengths of potential and s…
We discuss the quasiparticle entropy and heat capacity of a dirty superconductor-normal metal-superconductor junction. In the case of short junctions, the inverse proximity effect extending in the superconducting banks plays a crucial role in determining the thermodynamic quantities. In this case, commonly used approximations can violate thermodynamic relations between supercurrent and quasiparticle entropy. We provide analytical and numerical results as a function of different geometrical parameters. Quantitative estimates for the heat capacity can be relevant for the design of caloritronic d…
We study the influence of magnetic scattering on the Josephson critical current, Ic, in a superconductor/ferromagnetic metal/superconductor (SFS) junction by a tunneling Hamiltonian approach. An analytical formula of Ic is given in the fourth order perturbation theory as regards the tunneling matrix element. The Ic exhibits the damped oscillatory dependence on the thickness of the ferromagnetic metal, d, and shows the transition between 0- and pi-states with d. When the superconducting transition temperature is comparable to the ferromagnetic Curie temperature, the period of oscillation is obv…
Thermodynamic and transport properties of normal disordered conductors are strongly influenced by the proximity of a superconductor. A cooperation between mesoscopic coherence and Andreev scattering of particles from the superconductor generates new types of interference phenomena. We introduce a field theoretic approach capable of exploring both averaged properties and mesoscopic fluctuations of superconductor/normal-metal systems. As an example the method is applied to the study of the level statistics of a SNS-junction.
We investigate the waiting time distributions (WTDs) of superconducting hybrid junctions, considering both conventional and topologically nontrivial superconductors hosting Majorana bound states at their edges. To this end, we employ a scattering matrix formalism that allows us to evaluate the waiting times between the transmissions and reflections of electrons or holes. Specifically, we analyze normal-metal-superconductor (NIS) junctions and NISIN junctions, where Cooper pairs are spatially split into different leads. The distribution of waiting times is sensitive to the simultaneous reflecti…
Systems of superconducting islands placed on normal metal films offer tunable realizations of two-dimensional (2D) superconductivity; they can thus elucidate open questions regarding the nature of 2D superconductors and competing states. In particular, island systems have been predicted to exhibit zero-temperature metallic states. Although evidence exists for such metallic states in some 2D systems, their character is not well understood: the conventional theory of metals cannot explain them, and their properties are difficult to tune. Here, we characterize the superconducting transitions in m…
We develop a theory which describes hybrid structures consisting out of superconducting and ferromagnetic parts. We give two examples for applications. First, we consider a hybrid structure containing a strong ferromagnet in the ballistic limit. Second, we study for a weak ferromagnet the influence of a domain wall on the superconducting proximity effect. In both cases we account quantitatively for the mixing between singlet and triplet correlations.
We study the proximity effect of a superconductor to a normal system with fractal spectrum. We find that there is no gap in the excitation spectrum, even in the case where the underlying classical dynamics of the normal system is chaotic. An analytical expression for the distribution of the smallest excitation eigenvalue $E_g$ of the hybrid structure is obtained. On small scales it decays algebraically as ${\cal P}(E_g)\sim E_g ^{-D_0}$, where $D_0$ is the fractal dimension of the spectrum of the normal system. Our theoretical predictions are verified by numerical calculations performed for var…
