We prove existence and uniqueness of mild and generalized solutions for a class of stochastic semilinear evolution equations driven by additive Wiener and Poisson noise. The non-linear drift term is supposed to be the evaluation operator associated to a continuous monotone function satisfying a polynomial growth condition. The results are extensions to the jump-diffusion case of the corresponding ones proved in [4] for equations driven by purely discontinuous noise.
In this paper, a lower bound estimate on the uniform radius of spatial analyticity is established for solutions to the incompressible, forced Navier-Stokes system on an n-torus. This estimate improves or matches previously known estimates provided that certain bounds on the initial data are satisfied. It is argued that for 2D or 3D turbulent flows, the initial data is guaranteed to satisfy these hypothesized bounds on a significant portion of the 2D global attractor or the 3D weak attractor. In these scenarios, the estimate obtained for 3D generalizes and improves upon that of [Doering-Titi], …
We construct solutions to the randomly-forced Navier--Stokes--Poisson system in periodic three-dimensional domains or in the whole three-dimensional Euclidean space. These solutions are weak in the sense of PDEs and also weak in the sense of probability. As such, they satisfy the system in the sense of distributions and the underlying probability space and the stochastic driving force are also unknowns of the problem. Additionally, these solutions dissipate energy, satisfies a relative energy inequality in the sense of [4] and satisfy a renormalized form of the continuity equation in the sense…
We prove global well-posedness for a class of dissipative semilinear stochastic evolution equations with singular drift and multiplicative Wiener noise. In particular, the nonlinear term in the drift is the superposition operator associated to a maximal monotone graph everywhere defined on the real line, on which no continuity nor growth assumptions are imposed. The hypotheses on the diffusion coefficient are also very general, in the sense that the noise does not need to take values in spaces of continuous, or bounded, functions in space and time. Our approach combines variational techniques …
We prove existence and smoothness of the density of the solution to a nonlinear stochastic heat equation on $L^2(\mathcal{O})$ (evaluated at fixed points in time and space), where $\mathcal{O}$ is an open bounded domain in $\mathbb{R}^d$. The equation is driven by an additive Wiener noise and the nonlinear drift term is the superposition operator associated to a real function which is assumed to be (maximal) monotone, continuously differentiable, and growing not faster than a polynomial. The proof uses tools of the Malliavin calculus combined with methods coming from the theory of maximal mono…
We consider several pressureless variants of the compressible Euler equation driven by nonlocal repulsionattraction and alignment forces with Poisson interaction. Under an energy admissibility criterion, we prove existence of global measure-valued solutions, i.e., very weak solutions described by a classical Young measure together with appropriate concentration defects. We then investigate the evolution of a relative energy functional to compare a measure-valued solution to a regular solution emanating from the same initial datum. This leads to a (partial) weak-strong uniqueness principle.
We study an optimal relaxed control problem for a class of semilinear stochastic PDEs on Banach spaces perturbed by multiplicative noise and driven by a cylindrical Wiener process. The state equation is controlled through the nonlinear part of the drift coefficient which satisfies a dissipative-type condition with respect to the state variable. The main tools of our study are the factorization method for stochastic convolutions in UMD type-2 Banach spaces and certain compactness properties of the factorization operator and of the class of Young measures on Suslin metrisable control sets.
We study Wiener-type covering lemmas, Hardy-Littlewood-type maximal functions, and convergence theorems on metric spacs. Later we specialize down to a result for the Poisson integral. We show that, in a suitably general setting, these three phenomena are essentially logically equivalent. Along the way we discuss some useful estimates for the Poisson kernel.
We consider the Schrödinger--Poisson--Newton equations for finite crystals under periodic boundary conditions with one ion per cell of a lattice. The electron field is described by the $N$-particle Schrödinger equation with antisymmetric wave function. Our main results are i) the global dynamics with moving ions, and ii) the orbital stability of periodic ground state under a novel Jellium and Wiener-type conditions on the ion charge density. Under Jellium condition both ionic and electronic charge densities of the ground state are uniform.

In this paper, logarithmically improved regularity criteria for the Navier--Stokes/Poisson--Nernst--Planck system are established in terms of both the pressure and the gradient of pressure in the homogeneous Besov space.
We obtain estimates on the first-order Malliavin derivative of mild solutions, evaluated at fixed points in time and space, to a class of parabolic dissipative stochastic PDEs on bounded domain of $\mathbb{R}^d$. In particular, such equations are driven by multiplicative Wiener noise and the nonlinear drift term is the superposition operator associated to a locally Lipschitz continuous function satisfying suitable polynomial growth bounds. The main arguments rely on the well-posedness theory in the mild sense for stochastic evolution equations in Banach spaces, monotonicity, and a comparison p…
This work is devoted to the optimal decay problem for the Euler-Poisson two-fluid system, which is a classical hydrodynamic model arising in semiconductor sciences. By exploring the influence of the electronic field on the dissipative structure, it is first revealed that the \textit{irrotationality} plays a key role such that the two-fluid system has the same dissipative structure as generally hyperbolic systems satisfying the Shizuta-Kawashima condition. The fact inspires us to give a new decay framework which pays less attention on the traditional spectral analysis. Furthermore, various deca…
This article addresses a new class of fractional nonlocal neutral stochastic differential system of order 1<q<2 including non-instantaneous impulses(NIIs) and state-dependent delay(SDD) with the Poisson jumps and the Wiener process in Hilbert spaces. We examine the existence of a mild solution without assuming the compactness of the resolvent operators. The Monch fixed point theorem is used along with the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness. An example is constructed to verify the theoretical developments.
In this paper, we investigate some sufficient conditions for the breakdown of local smooth solutions to the three dimensional nonlinear nonlocal dissipative system modeling electro-hydrodynamics. This model is a strongly coupled system by the well-known incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and the classical Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations. We show that the maximum of the vorticity field alone controls the breakdown of smooth solutions, which reveals that the velocity field plays a more dominant role than the density functions of charged particles in the blow-up theory of the system. Moreover…
We prove absolute continuity of the law of the solution, evaluated at fixed points in time and space, to a parabolic dissipative stochastic PDE on $L^2(G)$, where $G$ is an open bounded domain in $\mathbb{R}^d$ with smooth boundary. The equation is driven by a multiplicative Wiener noise and the nonlinear drift term is the superposition operator associated to a real function which is assumed to be monotone, locally Lipschitz continuous, and growing not faster than a polynomial. The proof, which uses arguments of the Malliavin calculus, crucially relies on the well-posedness theory in the mild …
In \cite{GW12} (Y. Guo, Y. Wang, Decay of dissipative equations and negative Sobolev spaces, Commun. Partial Differ. Equ. 37 (2012) 2165--2208), Y. Guo and Y. Wang developed a general new energy method for proving the optimal time decay rates of the solutions to dissipative equations. In this paper, we generalize this method in the framework of homogeneous Besov spaces. Moreover, we apply this method to a model arising from electro-hydrodynamics, which is a coupled system of the Navier-Stokes equations and the Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations through charge transport and external forcing terms.…
In this paper, we develop a natural operator-splitting variational scheme for a general class of non-local, degenerate conservative-dissipative evolutionary equations. The splitting-scheme consists of two phases: a conservative (transport) phase and a dissipative (diffusion) phase. The first phase is solved exactly using the method of characteristic and DiPerna-Lions theory while the second phase is solved approximately using a JKO-type variational scheme that minimizes an energy functional with respect to a certain Kantorovich optimal transport cost functional. In addition, we also introduce …
We study the asymptotic regime of strong electric fields that leads from the Vlasov-Poisson system to the Incompressible Euler equations. We also deal with the Vlasov-Poisson-Fokker-Planck system which induces dissipative effects. The originality consists in considering a situation with a finite total charge confined by a strong external field. In turn, the limiting equation is set in a bounded domain, the shape of which is determined by the external confining potential. The analysis extends to the situation where the limiting density is non-homogeneous and where the Euler equation is replaced…
We consider a general Euler-Korteweg-Poisson system in $R^3$, supplemented with the space periodic boundary conditions, where the quantum hydrodynamics equations and the classical fluid dynamics equations with capillarity are recovered as particular examples. We show that the system admits infinitely many global-in-time weak solutions for any sufficiently smooth initial data including the case of a vanishing initial density - the vacuum zones. Moreover, there is a vast family of initial data, for which the Cauchy problem possesses infinitely many dissipative weak solutions, i.e. the weak solut…
The compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson system takes the form of usual Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the self-consistent Poisson equation, which is used to simulate the transport of charged particles under the electric field of electrostatic potential force. In this paper, we focus on the large time behavior of global strong solutions in the $L^{p}$ Besov spaces of critical regularity. By exploring the dissipative effect arising from Poisson potential, we posed the new regularity assumption of low frequencies and then establish a \textit{sharp} time-weighted inequality, which leads to th…
This paper is concerned with the Wigner-Poisson-Fokker-Planck system, a kinetic evolution equation for an open quantum system with a non-linear Hartree potential. Existence, uniqueness and regularity of global solutions to the Cauchy problem in 3 dimensions are established. The analysis is carried out in a weighted L^2-space, such that the linear quantum Fokker-Planck operator generates a dissipative semigroup. The non-linear potential can be controled by using the parabolic regularization of the system. The main technical difficulty for establishing global-in-time solutions is to derive a-prio…
