Considering two static, electrically charged, elementary particles, we demonstrate a possible way of proving that all known fundamental forces in the nature are the manifestations of the single, unique interaction. We re-define the gauging of integration constants in the Schwarzschild solution of Einstein field equations. We consider the potential energy in this context regardless it is gravitational or electric potential energy. With the newly gauged constants, we sketch how the unique interaction can be described with the help of an appropriate solution of the well-known Maxwell equations. According the solution, there are two zones, in the system of two oppositely charged particles, where the force is oscillating. The first particle can be in a stable, constant distance from the second particle, between the neighbouring regions of repulsion and attraction. In an outer oscillation zone, the corresponding energy levels in the proton-electron systems are identical (on the level of accuracy of values calculated by the Dirac's equations) to some experimentally determined levels in the hydrogen atom. For each system of two particles, there is also the zone with the macroscopic, i.e. monotonous behavior of the force. As well, the solution can be used to demonstrate that the net force between two assemblies consisting each (or at least one) of the same numbers of both positively and negatively charged particles is never zero. A secondary electric force, having the same orientation as the primary electric force between the oppositely charged particles, is always present. It can be identified to the gravity. Finally, the solution of the Maxwell equations can be used to calculate the inertia force of a particle. The consistent formulas for both acting and inertia forces enable to construct the dimensionless (without gravitational constant, permitivity of vacuum, etc.) equation of motion.
The Temporal Fluctuation Model proposed in present paper represents an attempt for a unitary vision for gravity, inertia and electromagnetism. We obtain the main results of General Relativity and Electromagnetism and the theory, until now, don't contain self-contradictions. As well, we obtain the "unified potential" which has terms that coupling gravitation with electromagnetism and who could be the basis for future technological applications.
We show that gravitational mass and inertial mass are correlated by an adimentional factor, which in specific electromagnetic conditions, can be reduced, nullified, negated, and increased. Some theoretical consequences of the mentioned correlation are: the generalization of Newton=92s second law for the motion (New law for Inertia); the deduction of the differential equation for entropy (second law of Thermodynamics); unification of gravitational and electromagnetic interactions .
The attempts to unify electromagnetism and gravitation have included the formulations of Herman Weyl and the Kaluza Klein theory with the fifth dimension. More recently there have been fruitful attempts in the domain of Quantum Superstrings and the author's formulation in terms of Quantum Mechanical Kerr-Newman Black Holes. Though all these appear to be widely divergent approaches, they are shown to have a unified underpinning in the context of quantized fractal space time.
A new geometry, called General geometry, is constructed. It is proven that its the most simplest special case is geometry underlying Electromagnetism. Another special case is Riemannian geometry. Action for electromagnetic field and Maxwell equations are derived from curvature function of geometry underlying Electromagnetism. It is shown that equation of motion for a particle interacting with electromagnetic field coincides exactly with equation for geodesics of geometry underlying Electromagnetism. It is also shown that Electromagnetism can not be geometrized in the framework of Riemannian ge…
The proposed temporal fluctuations model attempt for a unitary vision on gravity, electromagnetism and inertia. On obtain Newton law of gravitation and Coulomb law by starting from simple principles. On obtain too the main results of General Relativity Theory and Electromagnetism. One of the major points of present work is to obtain unified potential, which allow a unitary description of gravity and electromagnetism. As consequence, on obtain supplemental effects responsible for conservation laws violation in certain closed systems. On maintain the validity of conservation laws only if those s…
It is first argued that radiation by a uniformly accelerated charge in flat space-time indicates the need for a unified geometric theory of gravity and electromagnetism. Such a theory, based on a metric-affine $U_4$ manifold, is constructed with the torsion pseudo-vector $Γ_μ$ linking gravity and electromagnetism. This conceptually simple extension results in (i) Einstein's equations being modified by a vacuum energy $Γ_μΓ_ν$ and a scalar field $Γ= Γ^μΓ_μ$ whose zero-mode is a cosmological constant $Λ$ representing `dark energy', (ii) most of the salient features of `dark matter'-like phenomen…
We have derived energy conservation equations from the quaternionic Newton's law that is compatible with Lorentz transformation. This Newton's law yields directly the Euler equation and other equations governing the fluid motion. With this formalism, the pressure contributes positively to the dynamics of the system in the same way mass does. Hydrodynamic equations are derived from Maxwell's equations by adopting an electromagnetohydrodynamics (EMH) analogy. In this analogy the hydroelectric field is related to the local acceleration of the fluid and the Lorentz gauge is related to the incompre…
A theory which achieves a complete geometrical unification of gravitation and electromagnetism (GUGE) is presented. This new theory is based on a recent proposal of proper time redefinition that leads to the construction of a Riemann metric, which naturally unifies gravity and electromagnetism. The 5--dimensional Riemann metric which arises looks exactly the same as the one postulated in the Kaluza-Klein (KK) 5-dimensional theory. Nevertheless, there are deep differences between GUGE and KK. The GUGE metric is deduced while the KK metric is postulated. In the GUGE field theory there is no need…
It is argued that there is a connection between the fundamental forces of electromagnetism and gravitation. This connection occurs because of: 1) the fundamental significance of the finite and invariant velocity of light in inertial reference frames in the special theory, and 2) the reliance of the general theory of relativity upon the special theory of relativity locally in spacetime. The connection between the fundamental forces of electromagnetism and gravitation follows immediately from these two points. A brief review is provided of: 1) the role of the finite and invariant velocity of lig…
A reconciliation of gravitation and electromagnetism has eluded physics for neearly a century. It is argued here that this is because both quantum physics and classical physics are set in differentiable space time manifolds with point particles. Once we consider extended particles as in Quantum Superstring theory, and the consequential underlying Non-Commutative geometry, then a reconciliation is possible.
Does a physical field exist independently of the interaction between the field source and the test body used to measure it at a given point? What does propagate between two physical bodies when they interact? These are the fundamental questions we answer in the present work for electromagnetic and gravitational interactions. We come to the conclusion that gravitational fields as well as spacetime curvature cannot depend on the passive-gravitational to inertial mass ratio of the test bodies, because this would lead to energy conservation and causality violation except when this ratio is univers…
We show that the problem of unifying electromagnetism with gravity has an elegant solution in classical physics through the phenomenon of induction. By studying the way that induction leads to the formation of electromagnetic fields, we identify the classical field equations which the unified field must satisfy and a corresponding set of constitutive equations for the medium sustaining the field. The unification problem is then reduced to the problem of finding the exact form of these constitutive equations for different media by experiments.
Einstein's program of the unified field theory transformed nowadays to the TOE requiring new primordial elements and relations between them. Definitely, they must be elements of the quantum nature. One of most fundamental quantum elements are pure quantum states. Their basic relations are defined by the geometry of the complex projective Hilbert space. In the framework of such geometry all physical concepts should be formulated and derived in the natural way. Analysis following this logic shows that inertia and inertial forces are originated not in space-time but it the space of quantum states…
Einstein's contribution to relativity is reviewed. It is pointed out that Weyl gave first unified theory of gravitation and electromagnetism and it was different than the five dimensional theory of Kaluza. Einstein began his work on unification in 1925 that continued all through the rest of his life. A discussion is presented on the recent advances in Weyl theory, and also on the unification approach in which space-time is believed not to be fundamental. The significance of the gravitational waves observed recently seems to indicate a new paradigm of unification. It is suggested that the natur…
The generalization of Einstein's special theory of relativity (SRT) is proposed. In this model the possibility of unification of scalar gravity and electromagnetism into a single united field is considered. Formally, the generalization of the SRT is that instead of (1+3)-dimensional Minkowski space the (1+4)-dimensional extension G is considered. As a fifth additional coordinate the interval S is used. This value is saved under the usual Lorentz transformations in Minkowski space M, but it changes when the transformations in the extended space G are used. We call this model the extended space …
This is one of a number of papers in which the metric for space-time is defined on the subatomic level by means of the interchange of photons, and constrained to be consistent with radar. It is shown that the discrete nature of particle interactions necessitates a small inherent delay in the radar method, and hence that the resulting geometry is non- Euclidean. Thus the forces of gravity and electromagnetism can each be seen as an effect of the same interaction between elementary particles, and we can identify gravitational and inertial mass.
From a Newtonian-Maxwellian solution for a perturbed vacuum with a physical structure constructed based on pivotal experimental observations, we have achieved a general scheme for the formation of basic material particles. A basic particle, which may be e.g. an electron, is composed of a tiny free aether-pole (a bare charge) and the mechanical wave disturbances -- identifying with electromagnetic waves -- generated by it in the medium. When in motion, as a result of a first kind source effect, this particle wave exhibits all of wave and dynamic properties known for a de Broglie wave, and is he…
In 1905 A. Einstein, from the experiments of Michelson and Morley in 1887, enunciates the light speed constancy principle in the inertial frames of reference. However, this principle was pointed by the equations of the electromagnetism of J. C. Maxwell in 1865. The prediction of the Maxwell equations is due to in the most basic principle of the science, the principle of causality, is the reason of the light speed constancy. This article shown how, only with the causality principle, we can deduce the properties of the light. At the end of the article we used the causality relativistic definitio…
In this article, we introduce higher derivative Lagrangians of this form $α_1 A_μ(x)\dot{x}^μ$, $α_2 G_μ(x)\ddot{x}^μ$, $α_3 B_μ(x)\dddot{x}^μ$, $α_4 K_μ(x)\ddddot{x}^μ$, $\cdots$, that generalize the electromagnetic interaction to higher order derivatives. We show that odd order Lagrangians describe interactions analog to electromagnetism while even order Lagrangians are similar to gravitational interaction. From this analogy, we formulate the concept of the generalized induction principle assuming the coupling between the higher fields $U_{(n),μ}(x),\ n\geq1$ and the higher currents $j^{(n)μ…
The principle of equivalence postulating that an acceleration is indistinguishable from gravity by any experiment, is valid within families of particles having the same passive gravitational to inertial mass ratio $m_p/m_i$. Presently experimental observations indicate that we live in a universe with one single family for which $m_p/m_i=1$, but if we consider the imaginary case of a universe with several particle families having different $m_p/m_i$, the principle of equivalence would still apply to each one of them. On the basis of this generalized formulation of the equivalence principle, whi…
When a charge accelerates, its field-lines curve in a typical pattern. This pattern resembles the curvature induced on the field-lines by a neighboring charge. Not only does the latter case involve a similar curvature, it moreover results in attraction/repulsion. This suggests a hitherto unnoticed causal symmetry: charge acceleration-field curvature. We prove quantitatively that these two phenomena are essentially one and the same. The field stores some of the charge's mass, yet it is extended in space, hence when the charge accelerates, inertia makes the field lag behind. The resulting stress…
