We analyze the symmetry group of massive Yang-Mills theories and their quantization strongly motivated by an already proposed alternative to the Standard Model of electroweak interactions without Higgs. In these models the mass generation of the intermediate vector bosons is based on a non-Abelian Stueckelberg mechanism where the dynamics of the Goldstone-like bosons is addressed by a partial-trace Non-Linear-Sigma piece of the Lagrangian. In spite of the high non-linearity of the scalar sector, the existence of an infinite number of symmetries, extending the traditional gauge group, allows us to sketch a group-theoretical quantization algorithm specially suited to non-linear systems, which departs from usual canonical quantization. On the quantum representation space of this extended symmetry group, a quantum Hamiltonian preserving the representation is given, whose classical analog reproduces the equations of motion.
A relation between the precanonical quantization of pure Yang-Mills fields and the functional Schrödinger representation in the temporal gauge is discussed. It is shown that the latter can be obtained from the former when the ultraviolet parameter $\varkappa$ introduced in precanonical quantization goes to infinity. In this limiting case, the Schrödinger wave functional can be expressed as the trace of the Volterra product integral of Clifford-algebra-valued precanonical wave functions restricted to a certain field configuration, and the canonical functional derivative Schrödinger equation tog…
In this letter we establish Yangian symmetry of planar N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory. We prove that the classical equations of motion of the model close onto themselves under the action of Yangian generators. Moreover we propose an off-shell extension of our statement which is equivalent to the invariance of the action and prove that it is exactly satisfied. We assert that our relationship serves as a criterion for integrability in planar gauge theories by explicitly checking that it applies to integrable ABJM theory but not to non-integrable N=1 super-Yang-Mills theory.

In the present paper the Yang-Mills theory in the first order formalism is studied. On classical level the first order formulation is equivalent to the standard second order description of the Yang-Mills theory. It is proven that both formulations remain equivalent on quantum level as well.
We reduce the problem of quantization of the Yang-Mills field Hamiltonian to a problem for defining a probability measure on an infinite-dimensional space of gauge equivalence classes of connections on $\mathbb{R}^3$. We suggest a formally self-adjoint expression for the quantized Yang-Mills Hamiltonian as an operator on the corresponding Lebesgue $L^2$-space. In the case when the Yang-Mills field is associated to the Abelian group $U(1)$ we define the probability measure which depends on two real parameters $m>0$ and $c\neq 0$. This yields a non-standard quantization of the Hamiltonian of the…
Yang-Mills theories on a 1+1 dimensional cylinder are considered. It is shown that canonical quantization can proceed following different routes, leading to inequivalent quantizations. The problem of the non-free action of the gauge group on the configuration space is also discussed. In particular we re-examine the relationship between ``$θ$-states" and the fundamental group of the configuration space. It is shown that this relationship does or does not hold depending on whether or not the gauge transformations not connected to the identity act freely on the space of connections modulo connect…
To construct renormalizable gauge model in Bosonic-Fermionic noncommutative (BFNC) superspace, we replace the ordinary products of super Yang-Mills model by BFNC star products. To study the renormalization property of the deformed action, we obtain the one-loop 1PI effective action by using background field method at the first order of BFNC parameters. We also verify the BFNC supergauge invariance of the effective action. Because there are new terms in effective action, the deformed action is not renormalizable. This imply that additional terms should be added to the deformed action.
We develop the basic ideas and equations for the BRST quantization of Yang-Mills theories in an explicit Hamiltonian approach, without any reference to the Lagrangian approach at any stage of the development. We present a new representation of ghost fields that combines desirable self-adjointness properties with canonical anticommutation relations for ghost creation and annihilation operators, thus enabling us to characterize the physical states on a well-defined Fock space. The Hamiltonian is constructed by piecing together simple BRST invariant operators to obtain a minimal invariant extensi…
In this paper we address the issue of the non-perturbative quantization of Euclidean Yang-Mills theories in the Curci-Ferrari gauge. In particular, we construct a Refined Gribov-Zwanziger action for this gauge which takes into account the presence of gauge copies as well as the dynamical formation of dimension two condensates. This action enjoys a non-perturbative BRST symmetry recently proposed in \cite{Capri:2015ixa}. Finally, we give attention to the gluon propagator in different space-time dimensions.
Improved results for N=(2,2) super Yang-Mills theory using supersymmetric discrete light-cone quantization
Quantum Yang-Mills theory, Classical Statistical Field Theory (for Hamiltonians which are non-polynomial in the fields, e.g. General relativistic statistical mechanics) and Quantum Gravity all suffer from severe mathematical inconsistencies and produce unreliable predictions at best. We define with mathematical rigor, a class of statistical field theories in Minkowski space-time where the (classical) canonical coordinates when modified by a non-deterministic time evolution, verify the canonical commutation relations. We then extend these statistical field theories to include non-trivial gauge …
The BCFW recursion relation in $\mathcal{N}=4$ super-Yang-Mills theory is solved using Yang-Baxter $R$-operators in the NMHV sector. Explicit expressions for $\mathcal{R}$-invariants are obtained in terms of the chains of $R$-operators acting on an appropriate basic state.
We present new relations for scattering amplitudes of color ordered gluons and gravitons in Einstein-Yang-Mills theory. Tree-level amplitudes of arbitrary multiplicities and polarizations involving up to three gravitons and up to two color traces are reduced to partial amplitudes of pure Yang-Mills theory. In fact, the double-trace identities apply to Einstein-Yang-Mills extended by a dilaton and a B-field. Our results generalize recent work of Stieberger and Taylor for the single graviton case with a single color trace. As the derivation is made in the dimension-agnostic Cachazo-He-Yuan forma…
