We present a combined theoretical approach to study the nonequilibrium transport properties of nanoscale systems coupled to metallic electrodes and exhibiting strong electron-phonon interactions. We use the Keldysh Green function formalism to generalize beyond linear theory in the applied voltage an equation of motion method and an interpolative self-energy approximation previously developed in equilibrium. We analyze the specific characteristics of inelastic transport appearing in the intensity versus voltage curves and in the conductance, providing qualitative criteria for the sign of the step-like features in the conductance. Excellent overall agreement between both approaches is found for a wide range of parameters.
We investigate models of molecular junctions which constitute minimal Hamiltonians to account for zero-bias-anomaly and the satellite features of inelastic transport by molecular phonons. Through nonlinear transport calculations with the imaginary-time nonequilibrium formalism, a HOMO-LUMO model with Anderson-Holstein interaction is shown to produce co-tunneling conductance peak in the vicinity of Kondo resonance which is mediated by a re-emergent many-body resonance assisted by phonon excitations at bias equal to the phonon frequency. Destruction of the resonance leads to negative-differentia…
We develop a mapping of quantum steady-state nonequilibrium to an effective equilibrium and solve the problem using a quantum simulation technique. A systematic implementation of the nonequilibrium boundary condition in steady-state is made in the electronic transport on quantum dot structures. This formulation of quantum manybody problem in nonequilibrium enables the use of existing numerical quantum manybody techniques. The algorithm coherently demonstrates various transport behaviors from phonon-dephasing to I-V staircase and phonon-assisted tunneling.
We theoretically study the nonequilibrium thermoelectric transport properties of a strongly-correlated molecule (or quantum dot) embedded in a tunnel junction. Assuming that the coupling of the molecule to the contacts is asymmetric, we determine the nonlinear current driven by the voltage and temperature gradients by using the perturbation theory. However, the subsystem consisting of the molecule strongly coupled to one of the contacts is solved by using the numerical renormalization group method, which allows for accurate description of Kondo correlations. We study the temperature gradient a…
We study the effects of time-independent nonequilibrium drive on an open 2D electron gas system coupled to 2D longitudinal acoustic phonons using the Keldysh path integral method. The layer electron-phonon system is defined at the two-dimensional interface between a pair of three-dimensional Fermi liquid leads, which act both as a particle pump and an infinite bath. The nonequilibrium steady state is achieved in the layer by assuming the leads to be thermally equilibrated at two different chemical potentials. This subjects the layer to an out-of-plane voltage $V$ and drives a steady-state char…
The nonequilibrium dynamics of a quantum dot with electron-phonon interactions described by a generalized Holstein model is presented. A combination of methodologies including the reduced density matrix formalism, the multilayer multiconfiguration time-dependent Hartree method, and a time-dependent nonequilibrium Green function approach, is used to explore the transient behavior on multiple timescales as the system approaches steady-state. The dot population dynamics on short to intermediate times is governed by the dot-lead hybridization parameter ($Γ$) and by the typical phonon frequency ($ω…
We study theoretically the current-voltage characteristics, shot noise, and full counting statistics of a quantum wire double barrier structure. We model each wire segment by a spinless Luttinger liquid. Within the sequential tunneling approach, we describe the system's dynamics using a master equation. We show that at finite bias the non-equilibrium distribution of plasmons in the central wire segment leads to increased average current, enhanced shot noise, and full counting statistics corresponding to a super-Poissonian process. These effects are particularly pronounced in the strong interac…
We develop a theory of far from the equilibrium transport in arrays of tunnel junctions. We find that if the rate of the electron-electron interactions exceeds the rate of the electron-phonon energy exchange, the energy relaxation ensuring the charge transfer may occur sequentially. In particular, cotunneling transport in arrays of junctions is dominated by the relaxation via the intermediate bosonic environment, the electron-hole excitations, rather than by the electron-phonon mechanism. The current-voltage characteristics are highly sensitive to the spectrum of the environmental modes and to…
We investigate the effects of nonequilibrium phonon dynamics on the operation of a GaAs-based midinfrared quantum cascade laser over a range of temperatures (77--300 K) via a coupled ensemble Monte Carlo simulation of electron and optical-phonon systems. Nonequilibrium phonon effects are shown to be important below 200 K. At low temperatures, nonequilibrium phonons enhance injection selectivity and efficiency by drastically increasing the rate of interstage electron scattering from the lowest injector state to the next-stage upper lasing level via optical-phonon absorption. As a result, the cu…
Inspired by recent experiments, we study a short superconducting junction of length $L\ll ξ$ (coherence length) inserted in a dc-SQUID containing an ancillary Josephson tunnel junction. We evaluate the nonequilibrium occupation of the Andreev bound states (ABS) for the case of a conventional junction and a topological junction, with the latter case of ABS corresponding to a Majorana mode. We take into account small phase fluctuations of the Josephson tunnel junction, acting as a damped LC resonator, and analyze the role of the distribution of the quasiparticles of the continuum assuming that t…
We analyze the dynamics of a nanomechanical oscillator coupled to an electrical tunnel junction with an arbitrary voltage applied to the junction and arbitrary temperature of electrons in leads. We obtain the explicit expressions for the fluctuations of oscillator position, its damping/decoherence rate, and the current through the structure. It is shown that quantum heating of the oscillator results in nonlinearity of the current-voltage characteristics. The effects of mechanical vacuum fluctuations are also discussed.
We calculate the nonequilibrium differential conductance $G(V)$ through a quantum dot as function of bias voltage $V$ and applied magnetic field $H$. We use a Keldysh conserving approximation for weakly correlated and the scattering states numerical renormalization group for the intermediate and strongly correlated regime out of equilibrium. In the weakly correlated regime, the Zeeman splitting observable in $G(V)$ strongly depends on the asymmetry of the coupling to the two leads, as well as on particle-hole asymmetry of the quantum dot. In contrast, in the strongly correlated regime, where K…
We study the role of excited phonon populations in the relaxation rates of nonequilibrium electrons using a nonequilibrium Green's function formalism. The transient modifications in the phononic properties are accounted for by self-consistently solving the Dyson equation for the electron and phonon Green's functions. The pump induced changes manifest in both the electronic and phononic spectral functions. We find that the excited phonon populations suppress the decay rates of nonequilibrium electrons due to enhanced phonon absorption. The increased phonon occupation also sets the nonequilibriu…
We report the results of several nonequilibrium experiments performed on superconducting/normal/superconducting (S/N/S) Josephson junctions containing either one or two extra terminals that connect to normal reservoirs. Currents injected into the junctions from the normal reservoirs induce changes in the electron energy distribution function, which can change the properties of the junction. A simple experiment performed on a 3-terminal sample demonstrates that quasiparticle current and supercurrent can coexist in the normal region of the S/N/S junction. When larger voltages are applied to the …
In a nanoscale molecular junction at finite bias voltage, the intra-molecular distribution of vibrational energy can strongly deviate from the thermal equilibrium distribution and specific vibrational modes can be selectively excited in a controllable way, regardless of the corresponding mode frequency. This is demonstrated for generic models of asymmetric molecular junctions with localized electronic states, employing a master equation as well as a nonequilibrium Green's function approach. It is shown that the applied bias voltage controls the excitation of specific vibrational modes coupled to…
Within the framework of nonequilibrium Green's functions, we investigate the thermoelectric transport in a single molecular junction with electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions. By transforming into a displaced phonon basis, we are able to deal with these interactions non-perturbatively. Then, by invoking the weak tunneling limit, we are able to calculate the thermoelectricity. Results show that at low temperatures, resonances of the thermoelectric figure of merit ZT occur around the sides of resonances of electronic conductance but drops dramatically to zero at exactly these reson…
The transition from weakly damped coherent motion to localization in the context of the spin-boson model has been the subject of numerous studies with distinct behavior depending on the form of the phonon-bath spectral density, $J\left(ω\right)\proptoω^{s}$. Sub-Ohmic ($s<1$) and Ohmic ($s=1$) spectral densities show a clear localization transition at zero temperature and zero bias, while for super-Ohmic ($s>1$) spectral densities this transition disappears. In this work, we consider the influence of the phonon-bath spectral density on the \emph{nonequilibrium} dynamics of a quantum dot with e…
The Josephson current through a long s-wave superconductor/weak ferromagnet/s-wave superconductor weak link is studied theoretically in the regime of nonequilibrium spin-dependent occupation of electron states in the ferromagnetic intelayer. While under the considered nonequilibrium condition the standard supercurrent, carried by the singlet part of current-carrying density of states, is not modified, the additional supercurrent flowing via the triplet part of the current-carrying density of states appears. Depending on voltage, controlling the particular form of spin-dependent nonequilibrium …
We present a theory of molecular motors based on the Ehrenfest dynamics for the nuclear coordinates and the adiabatic limit of the Kadanoff-Baym equations for the current-induced forces. Electron-electron interactions can be systematically included through many-body perturbation theory, making the nonequilibrium Green's functions formulation suitable for first-principles treatments of realistic junctions. The method is benchmarked against simulations via real-time Kadanoff-Baym equations, finding an excellent agreement. Results on a paradigmatic model of molecular motor show that correlations …
We investigate chemical bond formation and conductance in a molecular C60-junction under finite bias voltage using first-principles calculations based on density functional theory and nonequilibrium Green's functions (DFT-NEGF). At the point of contact formation we identify a remarkably strong coupling between the C60-motion and the molecular electronic structure. This is only seen for positive sample bias, although the conductance itself is not strongly polarity dependent. The nonequilibrium effect is traced back a sudden shift in the position of the voltage drop with a small C60-displacement…
Microwave irradiation of Nb-InAs-Nb junctions reveals frequency-doubled Josephson currents which persist to high temperatures, in the absence of a critical current. A nonequilibrium dynamical model, based on time-dependent Andreev bound states, successfully accounts for the resulting half-integer Shapiro step and an enhancement in the conductance near zero bias.
Mesoscopic superconducting-normal-metal-superconducting (S-N-S) junctions with a large separation between the superconducting electrodes (i.e. wide junctions) exhibit nonequilibrium supercurrents, even at temperatures for which the equilibrium Josephson effect is exponentially small. The second harmonic of the Josephson frequency dominates these currents, as observed in recent experiments. A simple description of these effects, in the spirit of the Resistively-Shunted-Junction model, is suggested here. It is used to calculate dc I-V characteristics, and to examine the effects of various types …
Vibrational nonequilibrium effects in charge transport through single-molecule junctions are investigated. Focusing on molecular bridges with multiple electronic states, it is shown that electronic-vibrational coupling triggers a variety of vibronic emission and absorption processes, which influence the conductance properties and mechanical stability of single-molecule junctions profoundly. Employing a master equation and a nonequilibrium Green's function approach, these processes are analyzed in detail for a generic model of a molecular junction and for benzenedibutanethiolate bound to gold e…
Finite-bias electron transport through single molecules generally induces nonequilibrium molecular vibrations (phonons). By a mapping to a Fokker-Planck equation, we obtain analytical scaling forms for the nonequilibrium phonon distribution in the limit of weak electron-phonon coupling $λ$ within a minimal model. Remarkably, the width of the phonon distribution diverges as $\simλ^{-α}$ when the coupling decreases, with voltage-dependent, non-integer exponents $α$. This implies a breakdown of perturbation theory in the electron-phonon coupling for fully developed nonequilibrium. We also discuss…
The amplitude of magnetoresistance quantum oscillations of Al and Be point contacts in a magnetic field parallel to the contact axis has been studied as a function of voltage applied over the contact. It was found that for one group of contacts the oscillation amplitude nonmonotonously increases with the bias voltage increase, while for the other part of the contacts a decrease of amplitude was observed. The scattering of electrons with nonequilibrium phonons and also phonon-phonon collisions will be discussed as the possible reasons of the observed effects.
The calculation of the nonlinear conductance of a single-molecule junction is revisited. The self energy on the junction resulting from the electron-phonon interaction has at low temperatures logarithmic singularities (in the real part) and discontinuities (in the imaginary one) at the frequencies corresponding to the opening of the inelastic channels. These singularities generate discontinuities and logarithmic divergences (as a function of the bias voltage) in the low-temperature differential conductance around the inelastic thresholds. The self energy also depends on the population of the v…
Electron-electron thermalization and electron-phonon relaxation processes in laser-excited solids are often assumed to occur on different timescales. This is true for the majority of the conduction band electrons in a metal. However, electron-phonon interactions can influence the thermalization process of the excited electrons. We study the interplay of the underlying scattering mechanisms for the case of a noble metal with help of a set of complete Boltzmann collision integrals. We trace the transient electron distribution in copper and its deviations from a Fermi-Dirac distribution due to th…
We study nonequilibrium charge transport in a double-barrier Josephson junction, including nonstationary phenomena, using the time-dependent quasiclassical Keldysh Green's function formalism. We supplement the kinetic equations by appropriate time-dependent boundary conditions and solve the time-dependent problem in a number of regimes. From the solutions, current-voltage characteristics are derived. It is understood why the quasiparticle current can show excess current as well as deficit current and how the subgap conductance behaves as function of junction parameters. A time-dependent nonequ…
Inelastic effects in the Coulomb blockade and Kondo regimes of electron transport through molecular junctions are considered within a simple nonequilibrium equation-of-motion (EOM) approach. The scheme is self-consistent, and can qualitatively reproduce the main experimental observations of vibrational features in Coulomb blockade [H.Park et al., Nature 407, 57 (2000)] and Kondo [L.H.Yu et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 93, 266802 (2004)] regimes. Considerations similar to the equilibrium EOM approach by Meir et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 66, 3048 (1991); ibid. 70, 2601 (1993)] are used on the Keldysh conto…
We consider optical spectroscopy of molecular junctions from the quantum transport perspective when radiation field is quantized and optical response of the system is simulated as photon flux. Using exact expressions for photon and electronic fluxes derived within the nonequilibrium Green function (NEGF) methodology and utilizing fourth order diagrammatic perturbation theory in molecular coupling to radiation field we perform simulations employing realistic parameters. Results of the simulations are compared to the bare perturbation theory (PT) usually employed in studies on nonlinear optical …
We study phonons generated by current in a Pt nanowire, by measuring resistance of another nanowire separated from the first one by an insulating spacer. For thin spacers, the resistance varies almost linearly with current at cryogenic temperatures, while an additional quadratic contribution emerges for thicker spacers. These observations suggest a non-thermal distribution of current-generated phonons that relax via strongly nonlinear dynamical processes rather than few-phonon scattering. Our results provide insight into the nonequilibrium phonon dynamics at nanoscale, which may facilitate eff…
Using tunneling spectroscopy, we have measured the local electron energy distribution function in the normal part of a superconductor-normal metal-superconductor (SNS) Josephson junction containing an extra lead to a normal reservoir. In the presence of simultaneous supercurrent and injected quasiparticle current, the distribution function exhibits a sharp feature at very low energy. The feature is odd in energy, and odd under reversal of either the supercurrent or the quasiparticle current direction. The feature represents an effective temperature gradient across the SNS Josephson junction th…
The theory of the I-V characteristics in diffusive superconductor/weak ferromagnet/superconductor (SFS) junction is developed. We show that the exchange field $h$ of the ferromagnet manifests itself as an additional conductance peak at $eV \sim Δ+h$ in the phase-coherent regime, when the Thouless energy is of the order of superconducting order parameter. The excess current exhibits non-monotonous dependence on the exchange field and non-trivial temperature behavior, which is strongly influenced by the temperature dependence of the exchange field.
Employing the nonequilibrium Green's function method, we develop a fully quantum mechanical model to study the coupled electron-phonon transport in one-dimensional atomic junctions in the presence of a weak electron-phonon interaction. This model enables us to study the electronic and phononic transport on an equal footing. We derive the electrical and energy currents of the coupled electron-phonon system and the energy exchange between them. As an application, we study the heat dissipation in current carrying atomic junctions within the self-consistent Born approximation, which guarantees ene…
Optically-generated nonequilibrium phonon-distribution is used for exploring the origin of a nonlocal adiabatic response in an interacting Anderson insulator. Exposing the system to weak infrared radiation is shown to effectively suppress a long-range effect observed in field-effect experiments while producing little heating and barely changing the system conductance. These effects are shown to be consistent with the quantum nature of the effect and therefore are peculiar to disordered systems that are quantum-coherent.
Nonequilibrium Green's functions provide a powerful tool for computing the dynamical response and particle exchange statistics of coupled quantum systems. We formulate the theory in terms of the density matrix in Liouville space and introduce superoperator algebra that greatly simplifies the derivation and the physical interpretation of all quantities. Expressions for various observables are derived directly in real time in terms of superoperator nonequilibrium Green's functions (SNGF), rather than the artificial time-loop required in Schwinger's Hilbert-space formulation. Applications for com…
We analyze the effect of electron-phonon coupling on the full counting statistics of a molecular junction beyond the lowest order perturbation theory. Our approach allows to take into account analytically the feedback between the non-equilibrium phonon and electronic distributions in the quantum regime. We show that even for junctions with high transmission and relatively weak electron-phonon coupling this feedback gives rise to increasingly higher nonlinearities in the voltage dependence of the cumulants of the transmitted charges distribution.
We calculate the nonequilibrium conductance through a molecule or a quantum dot in which the occupation of the relevant electronic level is coupled with intensity $λ$ to a phonon mode, and also to two conducting leads. The system is described by the Anderson-Holstein Hamiltonian. We solve the problem using the Keldysh formalism and the non-crossing approximation (NCA) for both, the electron-electron and the electron-phonon interactions. We obtain a moderate decrease of the Kondo temperature $T_K$ with $λ$ for fixed renormalized energy of the localized level $\tilde{E_d}$. The meaning and value…
The interplay between vibrational modes and Kondo physics is a fundamental aspect of transport properties of correlated molecular conductors. We present theoretical results for a single molecule in the Kondo regime connected to left and right metallic leads, creating the usual coupling to a conduction channel with left-right parity ("even"). A center-of-mass vibrational mode introduces an additional, phonon-assisted, tunneling through the antisymmetric ("odd") channel. A non-Fermi liquid fixed point, reminiscent of the two-channel Kondo effect, appears at a critical value of the phonon-mediate…
For metallic point contacts with Be and Al the magnetoquantum oscillations in the contact resistance have been investigated as a function of the applied voltage over the contact. For one set of point contacts the oscillation amplitude is found to vary nonmonotonously with the applied voltage with similarities to the point-contact spectrum of the electron-phonon interaction. The other part of the investigated point contacts shows a decrease of the oscillation amplitude with increasing bias voltage. For the understanding of the voltage dependence of the amplitude of the point-contact magnetoresi…
We study backaction effects of phonon heating due to tunneling electrons on the current noise in atomic-sized junctions. Deriving a generalized kinetic approximation within the extended Keldysh Green's functions technique, we demonstrate the existence of a characteristic backaction contribution to the noise in case of low external phonon damping. We provide a physically intuitive interpretation of this contribution at large voltage in terms of slow fluctuations of the phonon occupation, and show that it generally gives a significant correction to the noise above the phonon emission threshold.
We have developed a new theoretical formalism for phonon transport in nanostructures using the nonequilibrium phonon Green's function technique and have applied it to thermal conduction in defective carbon nanotubes. The universal quantization of low-temperature thermal conductance in carbon nanotubes can be observed even in the presence of local structural defects such as vacancies and Stone-Wales defects, since the long wavelength acoustic phonons are not scattered by local defects. At room temperature, however, thermal conductance is critically affected by defect scattering since incident p…
We study the transport properties of a voltage-biased Josephson junction where the BCS superconducting leads are coupled via the edges of a quantum Hall sample. In this scenario, an out of equilibrium Josephson current develops, which is numerically studied within the Floquet-Keldysh Green's function formalism. We particularly focus on the time-averaged current as a function of both the bias voltage and the magnetic flux threading the sample and analyze the resonant multiple Andreev reflection processes that lead to an enhancement of the quasiparticle transmission. We find that a full tomograp…
Previous multitemperature model (MTM) resolving phonon temperatures at the polarization level and measurements have uncovered remarkable nonequilibrium among different phonon polarizations in laser irradiated graphene and metals. Here, we develop a semiconductor-specific MTM (SC-MTM) by including electron-hole pair generation, diffusion, and recombination, and show that a phonon polarization-level model does not yield observable polarization-based nonequilibrium in laser-irradiated molybdenum disulfide (MoS$_2$). In contrast, appreciable nonequilibrium is predicted between zone-center optical …
We report measurements of the bias dependence of the Fano factor in ensembles of atomic-scale Au junctions at 77 K. Previous measurements of shot noise at room temperature and low biases have found good agreement of the Fano factor with the expectations of the Landauer- Büttiker formalism, while enhanced Fano factors have been observed at biases of hundreds of mV [R. Chen et al., Sci. Rep. 4, 4221 (2014)]. We find even stronger enhancement of shot noise at 77 K with an "excess" Fano factor up to ten times the low bias value. We discuss the observed ensemble Fano factor bias dependence in terms…
Phonon-phonon interaction is systematically studied by nonequilibrium Green's function (NEGF) formulism in momentum space at finite temperatures. Within the quasi-particle approximation, phonon frequency shift and lifetime are obtained from the retarded self-energy. The lowest order NEGF provides the same phonon lifetime as Fermi's golden rule. Thermal conductance is predicted by the Landauer formula with a phenomenological transmission function. The main advantage of our method is that it covers both ballistic and diffusive limits and thermal conductance of different system sizes can be easil…
We study low-temperature transport through a Coulomb blockaded quantum dot (QD) contacted by a normal (N), and a superconducting (S) electrode. Within an effective cotunneling model the conduction electron self energy is calculated to leading order in the cotunneling amplitudes and subsequently resummed to obtain the nonequilibrium T-matrix, from which we obtain the nonlinear cotunneling conductance. For even occupied dots the system can be conceived as an effective S/N-cotunnel junction with subgap transport mediated by Andreev reflections. The net spin of an odd occupied dot, however, leads …
We present evidence for the cooling of normal metal phonons by electron tunneling in a Superconductor - Normal metal - Superconductor tunnel junction. The normal metal electron temperature is extracted by comparing the device current-voltage characteristics to the theoretical prediction. We use a quantitative model for the phonon cooling that includes the electron-phonon coupling in the normal metal and the Kapitza resistance between the substrate and the metal. It gives an excellent fit to the data and enables us to extract an effective phonon temperature in the normal metal.
Recent theory has predicted large temperature differences between the in-plane (LA and TA) and out-of-plane (ZA) acoustic phonon baths in locally-heated suspended graphene. To verify these predictions, and their implications for understanding the nonequilibrium thermodynamics of 2D materials, experimental techniques are needed. Here, we present a method to determine the acoustic phonon bath temperatures from the frequency-dependent mechanical response of suspended graphene to a power modulated laser. The mechanical motion reveals two counteracting contributions to the thermal expansion force, …
We study coherent phonon transport through organic, π-conjugated molecules. Using first principles calculations and Green's function methods, we find that the phonon transmission function in cross-conjugated molecules, like meta-connected benzene, exhibits destructive quantum interference features very analogous to those observed theoretically and experimentally for electron transport in similar molecules. The destructive interference features observed in four different cross-conjugated molecules significantly reduce the thermal conductance with respect to linear conjugated analogues. Such con…
Real-time Green's function simulations of molecular junctions (open quantum systems) are typically performed by solving the Kadanoff-Baym equations (KBE). The KBE, however, impose a serious limitation on the maximum propagation time due to the large memory storage needed. In this work we propose a simplified Green's function approach based on the Generalized Kadanoff-Baym Ansatz (GKBA) to overcome the KBE limitation on time, significantly speed up the calculations, and yet stay close to the KBE results. This is achieved through a twofold advance: first we show how to make the GKBA work in open…
Counter-rotating-wave terms (CRWTs) are traditionally viewed to be crucial in open small quantum systems with strong system-bath dissipation. Here by exemplifying in a nonequilibrium qubit-phonon hybrid model, we show that CRWTs can play the significant role in quantum heat transfer even with weak system-bath dissipation. By using coherent phonon states, we obtain the quantum master equation with heat exchange rates contributed by rotating-wave-terms (RWTs) and CRWTs, respectively. We find that including only RWTs, steady state heat current and current fluctuations will be significantly suppre…
The influence of electron--phonon interactions on the dynamics of a quantum dot coupled to a photonic cavity mode is investigated using a nonequilibrium Green's function approach. Within a polaron frame, the self-consistent-Born approximation is used to treat the phonon-assisted scattering processes between the quantum dot polaron and the cavity. Two-time correlators of the quantum dot-cavity system are calculated by solving the Kadanoff-Baym equations, giving access to photon spectra and photon indistinguishability. The non-Markovian nature of the interaction with the phonon bath is shown to …
In this work we theoretically consider the OPE-3 molecule bridging two metallic leads and show that because of the electron-phonon interaction and the transition of cation to triplet states, we can have a light induced negative differential conductance. Furthermore, we investigate the effects of light intensity and temperature on this phenomena.
