We study the impact of a type-I SUSY seesaw concerning lepton flavour violation (LFV) both at low-energies and at the LHC. The study of the di-lepton invariant mass distribution at the LHC allows to reconstruct some of the masses of the different sparticles involved in a decay chain. In particular, the combination with other observables renders feasible the reconstruction of the masses of the intermediate sleptons involved in $ χ_2^0\to \tilde \ell \,\ell \to \ell \,\ell\,χ_1^0$ decays. Slepton mass splittings can be either interpreted as a signal of non-universality in the SUSY soft breaking-terms (signalling a deviation from constrained scenarios as the cMSSM) or as being due to the violation of lepton flavour. In the latter case, in addition to these high-energy processes, one expects further low-energy manifestations of LFV such as radiative and three-body lepton decays. Under the assumption of a type-I seesaw as the source of neutrino masses and mixings, all these LFV observables are related. Working in the framework of the cMSSM extended by three right-handed neutrino superfields, we conduct a systematic analysis addressing the simultaneous implications of the SUSY seesaw for both high- and low-energy lepton flavour violation. We discuss how the confrontation of slepton mass splittings as observed at the LHC and low-energy LFV observables may provide important information about the underlying mechanism of LFV.
We discuss lepton flavor violation (LFV) in the context of SUSY breaking when the first-two generation sleptons are heavy. When the first-two generation sleptons are $\mathcal{O}(5 {\rm TeV})$ and have small mass-splittings, we find that a light third generation slepton is allowed even with the large mixing implied by neutrino oscillation experiments. As an application, we consider a gravity dual to single-sector SUSY breaking and show that it is compatible with both LFV constraints and oscillation measurements.
Searches at the LHC of lepton flavour violation (LFV) in slepton decays can indirectly test both type-I and II seesaw mechanisms. Assuming universal flavour-blind boundary conditions, LFV in the neutrino sector is related to LFV in the slepton sector by means of the renormalization group equations. Ratios of LFV slepton decay rates result to be a very effective way to extract the imprint left by the neutrino sector. Some neutrino scenarios within the type-I seesaw mechanism are studied. Moreover, for both type-I and II seesaw mechanisms, a scan over the minimal supergravity parameter space is …
We explore the phenomenological implications on charged lepton flavor violating (LFV) processes from slepton flavor mixing within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We work under the model-independent hypothesis of general flavor mixing in the slepton sector, being parametrized by a complete set of dimensionless delta^AB_ij (A,B = L,R; i,j = 1, 2, 3) parameters. The present upper bounds on the most relevant LFV processes, together with the requirement of compatibility in the choice of the MSSM parameters with the recent LHC and (g-2) data, lead to updated constraints on all slepton fla…
Here we study and compare the sensitivity to the Higgs sector of the SUSY-seesaw models via the LFV tau decays: tau-> 3 mu, tau->K^{+}K^{-}, tau->mu eta and tau-> mu f_{0}. We emphasize that, at present, the two later channels are the most efficient ones to test indirectly the Higgs particles.
We study the impact of a type-I SUSY seesaw concerning lepton flavour violation (LFV) at low-energies and at the LHC. At the LHC, $ χ_2^0\to \tilde \ell \,\ell \to \ell \,\ell\,χ_1^0$ decays, in combination with other observables, render feasible the reconstruction of the masses of the intermediate sleptons, and hence the study of $\ell_i - \ell_j$ mass differences. If interpreted as being due to the violation of lepton flavour, high-energy observables, such as large slepton mass splittings and flavour violating neutralino and slepton decays, are expected to be accompanied by low-energy manife…
Precise measurements of slepton mass-splittings might represent a powerful tool to probe supersymmetric (SUSY) lepton flavour violation (LFV) at the LHC. We point out that mass-splittings of the first two generations of sleptons are especially sensitive to LFV effects involving $τ-μ$ transitions. If these mass-splittings are LFV induced, high-energy LFV processes like the neutralino decay ${\nt}_2\to\nt_1τ^{\pm}μ^{\mp}$ as well as low-energy LFV processes like $τ\toμγ$ are unavoidable. We show that precise slepton mass-splitting measurements and LFV processes both at the high- and low-energy s…
Measurement of Lepton-Flavor Violation (LFV) in the minimal SUSY Standard Model (MSSM) at Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is studied based on a realistic simulation. We consider the LFV decay of the second-lightest neutralino, $\tildeχ^0_2 \to \tilde{l} l' \to l l' \tildeχ^0_1$, in the case where the flavor mixing exists in the right-handed sleptons. We scan the parameter space of the minimal supergravity model (MSUGRA) and a more generic model in which we take the Higgsino mass $μ$ as a free parameter. We find that the possibility of observing LFV at LHC is higher if $μ$ is smaller than the MSUGR…
We study constraints on the fundamental parameters of supersymmetric type I seesaw models imposed by neutrino data, charged lepton flavor violation, thermal leptogenesis and perturbativity of the neutrino Yukawa couplings.
We review Lepton Flavour Violation (LFV) in the supersymmetric version of the seesaw mechanism (type I, II, III) and in Left-Right models. The LFV needed to explain neutrino masses and mixings is the only source of LFV and has experimental implications both in low-energy experiments where we search for the radiative decays of leptons, and at the LHC where we look at its imprint on the LFV decays of the sparticles and on slepton mass splittings. We discuss how this confrontation between high- and low-energy LFV observables may provide information about the underlying mechanism of LFV.
Here we review the main results of LFV in the semileptonic tau decays $τ\to μPP$ ($PP = π^+ π^-, π^0 π^0, K^+ K^-, K^0 \bar{K}^0$), $τ\to μP$ ($P = π, η, η^{\prime}$), and $τ\to μV$ ($V = ρ, ϕ$) as well as in $μ-e$ conversion in nuclei within SUSY-seesaw scenarios, and compare our predictions with the present experimental bounds
In supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model, the lepton flavour violation (LFV) is closely related to the structure of slepton masses and mixing. Allowing for the most general flavour structure of the slepton sector, consistent with the experimental limits on rare lepton decays, large and distinct signals of LFV at future colliders can be expected. A case study of mixing of second and third generation of sleptons at an e+e- collider is presented and compared to that of tau to mu+gamma rare decay.
We consider a supersymmetric type III seesaw, where the additional heavy states are embedded into complete SU(5) representations to preserve gauge coupling unification. Complying with phenomenological and experimental constraints strongly tightens the viable parameter space of the model. In particular, one expects very characteristic signals of lepton flavour violation both at low-energies and at the LHC, which offer the possibility of falsifying the model.
We investigate flavour violating decays of the long-lived lightest slepton and the tau lepton in the coannihilation region of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with a Seesaw mechanism to generate neutrino masses. We consider a situation where the mass difference between the lightest neutralino, as the Lightest Supersymmetric particle (LSP), and the lightest slepton, as the Next-to-LSP, is smaller than the mass of tau lepton. In this situation, the lifetime of the lightest slepton is very long and it is determined by lepton flavour violating (LFV) couplings because the slepton mainly co…
The aim of the work is to study LFV in a newly proposed Seesaw model of neutrino mass and to see whether it could explain LSND excess. The motivation of this Seesaw model was that there was no new physics beyond the TeV scale. By studying μ\to 3e in this model, it is shown that the upper bound on the branching ratio requires Higgs mass m_{h} of a new scalar doublet with lepton number L=-1 needed in the model has to be about 9 TeV. The predicted branching ratio for μ\to eν_{l}\barν_{l} is too small to explain the LSND. PACS: 11.30.Hv, 14.60.Pq
In this research, we propose a modified version of the 3-3-1 model, incorporating a type I+II seesaw mechanism and Z4 discrete symmetry, as a framework for investigating lepton flavor-violating (LFV) decays. This model successfully yields the left-handed neutrinos mass square difference in the eV scale, with specific values of mass square differences; and generates mixing angles that align with experimental data. Furthermore, we develop SARAH and SPheno algorithms tailored for our modified model, enabling us to estimate the magnitude of LFV observables. Our calculations indicate favorable resu…
We investigate the influence of the boundary conditions of minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) on the supersymmetric mechanism for lepton flavour violation (LFV) proposed recently [1], within the framework of the MSSM extended by TeV-scale singlet heavy neutrinos. We find that the consideration of the mSUGRA boundary condition may increase the branching ratios of the muon and tauon decaying into three charged leptons by up to a factor of 5, whereas the corresponding branching ratio for their photonic decays remains almost unchanged.
Realistic predictions are made for lepton flavour violating and flavour changing neutral current decays in the large tan beta regime of a SUSY-seesaw model. Lepton flavour violating neutral Higgs decays are discussed within this framework along with the highly constraining charged lepton decays l_i --> l_j + gamma. In the b-s system the important constraint from b --> s + gamma is studied in conjunction with the rare FCNC Bs --> mu mu (tau mu) decays and the recently measured Delta Ms.
Very recently a novel implementation of type-II seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass has been proposed in SU(5) grand unified theory with a number of desirable new physical phenomena beyond the standard model.Introducing heavy right-haded neutrinos and extra fermion singlets, in this work we show how the type-I seeaw cancellation mechanism works in this SU(5) framework. Besides predicting verifiable LFV decays, we further show that the model predicts dominant double beta decay with normal hierarchy or inverted hierarchy of active light neutrino masses in concordance with cosmological bound. In a…
In supersymmetric scenarios, the seesaw mechanism involving heavy right-handed neutrinos implies sizable lepton flavor violation (LFV) in the slepton sector. We discuss the potential of detecting LFV processes at the LHC in mSUGRA+seesaw scenarios and for general mixing in either the left- or right-handed slepton sector. The results are compared with the sensitivity of rare LFV mu -> e gamma decay experiments.
The most general supersymmetric seesaw mechanism has too many parameters to be predictive and thus can not be excluded by any measurements of lepton flavour violating (LFV) processes. We focus on the simplest version of the type-I seesaw mechanism assuming minimal supergravity (mSugra) boundary conditions. We compute branching ratios for the LFV scalar tau decays, ${\tilde τ}_2 \to (e,μ) + χ^0_1$, as well as loop-induced LFV decays at low energy, such as $l_i \to l_j + γ$ and $l_i \to 3 l_j$, exploring their sensitivity to the unknown seesaw parameters. We find some simple, extreme scenarios f…
The $μν$SSM, one of supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model, introduces three right-handed neutrino superfields to solve the $μ$ problem and violates lepton number. Within framwork of the $μν$SSM, we investigate the lepton flavor violating (LFV) processes $Z\rightarrow l_i^\pm l_j^\mp$ with slepton flavor mixing. Simultaneously, we consider the LFV processes $l_j^-\rightarrow l_i^-γ$, $l_j^- \rightarrow l_i^- l_i^- l_i^+$ and muon conversion to electron in nuclei.
In this paper we work in the framework of a radiative seesaw model with triplet fermion $Σ$. Due to the $Z_2$ discrete flavor symmetry, the lightest neutral component of $Σ$ is stable and thus can be a dark matter candidate. Its mass can be solely determined by the dark matter relic abundance, which is bout 2.594 TeV. The model also predict a dark matter-nucleus scattering cross section that would be accessible with future dark matter direct detection searches. We further investigate constraints on the parameter space of the model from the lepton-flavor-violating processes and neutrino transit…

Within low-scale seesaw mechanisms, such as the inverse and linear seesaw, one expects (i) potentially large lepton flavor violation (LFV) and (ii) sizeable non-standard neutrino interactions (NSI). We consider the interplay between the magnitude of non-unitarity effects in the lepton mixing matrix, and the constraints that follow from LFV searches in the laboratory. We find that NSI parameters can be sizeable, up to percent level in some cases, while LFV rates, such as that for μ-> e γ, lie within current limits, including the recent one set by the MEG collaboration. As a result the upcoming …
We perform a systematic study of sneutrino production and decays in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with lepton flavour violation (LFV). We study bosonic decays of sneutrinos as well as fermionic ones. We show that the effect of slepton generation mixing on the sneutrino production and decays can be quite large in a significant part of the MSSM parameter space despite the very strong experimental limits on LFV processes. This could have an important impact on the search for sneutrinos and the determination of the MSSM parameters at LHC and future colliders, such as ILC, CLIC a…
Following recent experimental developments, in this study we re-evaluate if the interplay of high- and low-energy lepton flavour violating observables remains a viable probe to test the high-scale type-I supersymmetric seesaw. Our analysis shows that fully constrained supersymmetric scenarios no longer allow to explore this interplay, since recent LHC data precludes the possibility of having sizeable slepton mass differences for a slepton spectrum sufficiently light to be produced, and in association to BR(mu -> e gamma) within experimental reach. However, relaxing the strict universality of s…
We consider a scenario inspired by natural supersymmetry, where neutrino data is explained within a low-scale seesaw scenario. We extend the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model by adding light right-handed neutrinos and their superpartners, the R-sneutrinos, and consider the lightest neutralinos to be higgsino-like. We consider the possibilities of having either an R-sneutrino or a higgsino as lightest supersymmetric particle. Assuming that squarks and gauginos are heavy, we systematically evaluate the bounds on slepton masses due to existing LHC data.
We study the supersymmetric version of the type-II seesaw mechanism assuming minimal supergravity boundary conditions. We calculate branching ratios for lepton flavour violating (LFV) scalar tau decays, potentially observable at the LHC, as well as LFV decays at low energy, such as $l_i \to l_j + γ$ and compare their sensitivity to the unknown seesaw parameters. In the minimal case of only one triplet coupling to the standard model lepton doublets, ratios of LFV branching ratios can be related unambigously to neutrino oscillation parameters. We also discuss how measurements of soft SUSY breaki…
Now the bounds on the lepton-flavor violating (LFV) decay modes of tau lepton are being improved by the Belle experiment in the KEK B factory. In this paper the LFV decay of tau lepton is discussed in the supersymmetric seesaw model, using the current neutrino oscillation data.
We study a CP and T violating triple (spin) correlation in the muon to electron conversion in nuclei in the context of the seesaw mechanism. After concluding that the results are negative for all three seesaw types, we turn to the left-right symmetric theories as the original source of seesaw. We find that in general this correlation is of order one which offers a hope of observing CP violation in lepton flavor violating processes for a L-R scale below around 10-30 TeV. We discuss the conditions that could render to (unlikely) conspiracies as to suppress the CP violating effects.
In minimal supergravity (mSugra), the neutrino sector is related to the slepton sector by means of the renormalization group equations. This opens a door to indirectly test the neutrino sector via measurements at the LHC. Concretely, for the simplest seesaw type-I, we present the correlations between seesaw parameters and ratio of stau lepton flavour violating (LFV) branching ratios. We find some simple, extreme scenarios for the unknown right-handed parameters, where ratios of LFV rates correlate with neutrino oscillation parameters. On the other hand, we scan the mSugra parameter space, for …
Lepton flavor violating Higgs boson decays (LFVHD) are studied in the context of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) enlarged with three right handed neutrinos and their supersymmetric partners, and with the neutrino masses being generated by the seesaw mechanism. We compute the partial widths for these decays to one-loop order and analyze numerically the corresponding branching ratios in terms of the MSSM and seesaw parameters. We analyze in parallel the lepton flavor changing $ł_j\to l_i γ$ decays and explore the maximum predicted rates for LFVHD, mainly for $H^0,A^0 \to τ{\bar …
We reconsider the role that the possible detection of lepton flavour violating (LFV) decays of supersymmetric particles at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) can play in helping reconstruct the underlying neutrino mass generation mechanism within the simplest high-scale minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) seesaw schemes. We study in detail the LFV scalar tau decays at the LHC, assuming that the observed neutrino masses arise either through the pure type-I or the simpler type-II seesaw mechanism. We perform a scan over the mSUGRA parameter space in order to identify regions where lepton flavour violatin…
The lepton flavor violating decay of the Standard Model-like Higgs boson (LFVHD), h->μτ, is discussed in seesaw models at the one-loop level. Based on particular analytic expressions of Passarino-Veltman functions, the two unitary and 't Hooft Feynman gauges are used to compute the branching ratio of LFVHD and compare with results reported recently. In the minimal seesaw (MSS) model, the branching ratio was investigated in the whole valid range 10^{-9}-10^{15} GeV of new neutrino mass scale m_{n_6}. Using the Casas-Ibarra parameterization, this branching ratio enhances with large and increasin…
The seesaw mechanism is the most popular explanation for the smallness of neutrino masses. However, its high scale makes direct tests impossible and only indirect signals at low energies are reachable for collider experiments. One of these indirect links with the high scale is lepton flavor violation (LFV). We discuss LFV decays of sleptons in the context of a SUSY left-right symmetric model that naturally incorporates the seesaw mechanism. This non-minimal embedding of the seesaw leads to observable LFV effects in the right-handed sleptons sector, contrary to minimal models where these are fo…
We investigate lepton flavor violating (LFV) radiative processes and the relic abundance of neutralino dark matter in supersymmetric type-I seesaw model. We carefully derive threshold corrections to the flavor off-diagonal elements of slepton mass matrix and up-type Higgs mass squared and find that they can be large in the case of large $B_N^0$. We examine how the branching ratios of LFV radiative decays and the relic abundance of neutralino dark matter can be significantly affected by the large threshold corrections. Soft scalar mass squared parameter of up-type Higgs scalar is also affected …
Superconformal anomalies provide an elegant and economical way to understand the soft breaking parameters in SUSY models; however, implementing them leads to the several undesirable features including: tachyonic sleptons and electroweak symmetry breaking problems in both the MSSM and the NMSSM. Since these two theories also have the additonal problem of massless neutrinos, we have reconsidered the AMSB problems in a class of models that extends the NMSSM to explain small neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism. In a recent paper, we showed that for a class of minimal left-right extensions, a …
In these proceedings we present the results for lepton flavour violating tau and muon decays within the SUSY seesaw scenario. Specifically, we consider the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model extended by three right handed neutrinos, $ν_{R_i}$ and their corresponding SUSY partners, ${\tilde ν}_{R_i}$, ($i=1,2,3$), and use the seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass generation. We include the predictions for the branching ratios of two types of lepton flavour violating channels, $l_j \to ł_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$, and compare them with the present bounds and future experimental sensit…
We study lepton flavor violation (LFV) within the Littlest Higgs Model with T parity (LHT) realizing an inverse seesaw (ISS) mechanism of type I. With respect to the traditional LHT, there appear new $\mathcal{O}$(\textcolor{black}{10} TeV) Majorana neutrinos, driving LFV. For $τ\to\ell\ell'\bar{\ell}"$ (including wrong-sign, $\ell=e, μ$) decays and $μ\to e$ conversion in Ti, we get typical rates only one order of magnitude below present bounds ($\ell\to\ell'γ$ can reach the current upper limit) and for $Z\to\barτ\ell$, $μ\to e e \bar{e}$ and conversion in Au, results are within two orders of …
We study the impact of neutrino masses and mixings on LFV processes within the context of the supersymmetric seesaw scenario, where the CMSSM is extended by three right-handed (s)neutrinos. A hierarchical spectrum is considered for both heavy and light neutrinos. We systematically analyse the interesting relation between the leptonic mixing angle $θ_{13}$ and LFV muon and tau decays, namely $l_j \to l_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$, and discuss the interplay with the other relevant parameters. We require compatibility with low energy neutrino data, bounds on both LFV decays and charged lepton electr…
It can be expected from the result for the atmospheric neutrino by the SUPERKAMIOKANDE and the CHOOZ result that the the lepton-flavor violating (LFV) interaction between the second and third generations exits at the high energy scale. This leads to a non-vanishing LFV left-handed slepton mass between the second and third generations, induced by the radiative correction, in the minimal supergravity scenario. In this article, assuming that the supersymmetric standard model with the right-handed neutrinos explains the atmospheric neutrino result, we show that the reach of the LFV slepton product…
In this work, we study the charged lepton flavor violating (cLFV) decays $τ-> μγ$, $τ-> 3μ$ and $Z->μτ$ in the framework of the Supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 model. Analytic formulas for branching ratios (BR) of these decays are presented. We assume that there exist lepton flavor violation (LFV) sources in both right- and left-handed slepton sectors. This leads to the strong enhancement of cLFV decay rates. We also show that the effects of the LFV source to the cLFV decay rates in the left-handed slepton sector are greater than those in the right- handed slepton sector. By numerical investig…
Usual analyses based on scans of the seesaw parameter-space can be biassed since they do not cover in a fair way the complete parameter-space. More precisely, we show that in the common "R-parametrization", many acceptable R-matrices, compatible with the perturbativity of Yukawa couplings, are normally disregarded from the beginning, which produces biasses in the results. We give a straightforward procedure to scan the space of complex R-matrices in a complete way, giving a very simple rule to incorporate the perturbativity requirement as a condition for the entries of the R-matrix, something …
The lepton flavour violating charged lepton decays mu to e + gamma and thermal leptogenesis are analysed in the minimal supersymmetric standard model with see-saw mechanism of neutrino mass generation and soft supersymmetry breaking terms with universal boundary conditions. Hierarchical spectrum of heavy Majorana neutrino masses, M_1 << M_2 << M_3, is considered. In this scenario, the requirement of successful thermal leptogenesis implies a lower bound on M_1. For the natural GUT values of the heaviest right-handed Majorana neutrino mass, M_3 > 5 times 10^{13} GeV, and supersymmetry particle m…
Current limit on the dark matter relic abundance may suggest that $|μ|$ should be smaller than prediction in the minimal supergravity scenario (mSUGRA) for moderate $m_0$ and $m_{1/2}$. The electroweak-ino parameter $M_1, M_2$ and $|μ|$ are then much closer to each other. This can be realized naturally in the non-universal Higgs mass model (NUHM). Since the heaviest neutralino ($\tildeχ^0_4$) and chargino ($\tildeχ^\pm_2$) have significant gaugino components, they may appear frequently in the left-handed squark decay and then be detectable at the LHC. In such a case, we showed that the hierarc…
Anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking (AMSB), when implemented in MSSM is known to suffer from the problem of negative slepton mass squared leading to breakdown of electric charge conservation. We show however that when MSSM is extended to explain small neutrino masses by including a pair of superheavy Higgs triplet superfields (the type II seesaw mechanism), the slepton masses can be deflected from the pure AMSB trajectory and become positive. In a simple model we present in this paper, the seesaw scale is about $10^{13}-10^{14}{\rm GeV}$. Gauge coupling unification can be maintained by emb…
Lepton flavor violating processes are optimal observables to test new physics, since they are forbidden in the Standard Model while they may be generated in new theories. The usual approach to these processes is to perform the computations in the physical basis; nevertheless this may lose track of the dependence on some of the fundamental parameters, in particular on those at the origin of the flavor violation. Consequently, in order to obtain analytical expressions directly in terms of these parameters, flavor techniques are often preferred. In this work, we focus on the mass insertion approx…
Motivated by the recent discovery of the Higgs boson at m_h = 126 GeV and also by the non-observation of superparticles at the LHC, high-scale SUSY, where the superparticles are as heavy as O(10) TeV, has been recently proposed. We study lepton-flavor violations (LFVs) in the high-scale SUSY with right-handed neutrinos. Even if the slepton masses are of O(10) TeV, the renormalization group (RG) effects on the slepton mass-squared matrix may induce large enough LFVs which are within the reach of future LFV experiments. We also discuss the implication of the right-handed neutrinos on the electro…
Dominance of type-II seesaw mechanism for neutrino masses has attracted considerable attention because of a number of advantages. We show a novel approach to achieve Type-II seesaw dominance in non-supersymmetric $SO(10)$ grand unification where a low mass $Z^{\prime}$ boson and specific patterns of right-handed neutrino masses are predicted within the accessible energy range of the Large Hadron Collider. In spite of the high value of the seesaw scale, $M_{Δ_L} \simeq 10^8-10^9$ GeV, the model predicts new dominant contributions to neutrino-less double beta decay in the $W_L-W_L$ channel close…
We present a type-III version of inverse seesaw or, equivalently an inverse version of type-III seesaw. Naturally small neutrino masses arise at low-scale from the exchange of neutral fermions transforming as hyperchargeless SU(2) triplets. In order to implement tri-bimaximal lepton mixing we supplement the minimal SU(3)xSU(2)xU(1) gauge symmetry with an A4-based flavor symmetry. Our scenario induces lepton flavour violating (LFV) three body decays that can proceed at the tree level, while radiative li to lj gamma decays and mu-e conversion in nuclei are also expected to be sizeable. LFV decay…
Motivated by the observation of neutrino oscillations, we extend the Higgs boson exempt no-scale supersymmetry model (HENS) by adding three heavy right-handed neutrino chiral supermultiplets to generate the light neutrino masses and mixings. The neutrino Yukawa couplings can induce new lepton flavor violating couplings among the soft terms in the course of renormalization group running down from the boundary scale. We study the effects this has on the predictions for low-energy probes of lepton flavor violation(LFV). Heavy right-handed neutrinos also provide a way to generate the baryon asymme…
We propose to accommodate economically the type-II neutrino seesaw mechanism in (G)NMSSM from GMSB and AMSB, respectively. The heavy triplets within neutrino seesaw mechanism are identified to be the messengers. Therefore, the $μ$-problem, the neutrino mass generation, LFV as well the soft SUSY breaking parameters can be economically combined in a non-trivial way. General features of such extensions are discussed. The type-II neutrino seesaw-specific interactions can give additional Yukawa deflection contributions to the soft SUSY breaking parameters of NMSSM, which are indispensable to realiz…
We address the constraints on the SUSY seesaw parameters arising from Lepton Flavour Violation observables. Working in the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model extended by three right-handed (s)neutrinos, we study the predictions for the branching ratios of $l_j \to l_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$ channels. We impose compatibility with neutrino data, electric dipole moment bounds, and further require a successful baryon asymmetry of the Universe (via thermal leptogenesis). We emphasise the interesting interplay between $θ_{13}$ and the LFV muon decays, pointing out the hints on the SUS…
We study the phenomenology of a supersymmetric left-right model, assuming minimal supergravity boundary conditions. Both left-right and (B-L) symmetries are broken at an energy scale close to, but significantly below the GUT scale. Neutrino data is explained via a seesaw mechanism. We calculate the RGEs for superpotential and soft parameters complete at 2-loop order. At low energies lepton flavour violation (LFV) and small, but potentially measurable mass splittings in the charged scalar lepton sector appear, due to the RGE running. Different from the supersymmetric 'pure seesaw' models, both,…
This dissertation reviews the Standard Model formalism as well as the Lepton Flavour Violating (LFV) decay processes which cause its extension, known as the physics beyond the SM. Firstly, using the experimental bounds on three body LFV decays, the corresponding bounds on two body LFV decays are reviewed. The dynamical suppression of three body LFV decays due to momentum dependent couplings is also reviewed. Secondly, the role of the LFV decays to explain the LSND excess is discussed in detail, for which the experimental bounds on three body LFV decays, i.e. μ-> 3e are used to constraint the c…
The Super-Kamiokande atmospheric neutrino data suggest existence of the large lepton-flavor violating (LFV) interaction in the higher energy scale. If the minimal supersymmetric standard model is extended to have right-handed neutrinos, the left-handed sleptons in the second and third generations are expected to have the LFV masses in the minimal supergravity scenario. In this article we study the LFV signals in the left-handed slepton production at $μ^+μ^-$ colliders and $\e^+\e^-$ linear colliders (LC's), $μ^+μ^-(\e^+\e^-)\toτμ+4jets + \E$ and $μ^+μ^-(\e^+\e^-)\toτμl+ 2jets+ \E$. The main ba…
