The complex Green operator on CR-submanifolds of $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ of hypersurface type: compactness

We establish compactness estimates for $\overline{\partial}_{b}$ on a compact pseudoconvex CR-submanifold of $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ of hypersurface type that satisfies property(P). When the submanifold is orientable, these estimates were proved by A.~Raich via microlocal methods. Our proof deduces the estimates from (a slight extension, when $q>1$, of) those known on hypersurfaces via the fact that locally, CR-submanifolds of hypersurface type are CR-equivalent to a hypersurface. The relationship between two potential theoretic conditions is also clarified.

Compactness of the Complex Green Operator on CR-Manifolds of Hypersurface Type

The purpose of this article is to study compactness of the complex Green operator on CR manifolds of hypersurface type. We introduce (CR-P_q), a potential theoretic condition on $(0,q)$-forms that generalizes Catlin's property (P_q) to CR manifolds of arbitrary codimension. We prove that if an embedded CR-manifold of hypersurface type satisfies (CR-P_q) and (CR-P_{n-1-q}) and is of real dimension at least five, then the complex Green operator is a compact operator on the Sobolev spaces $H^s_{0,q}(M)$, if $1\leq q \leq n-2$ and $s\geq 0$. Sobolev estimates for the complex Green operator on CR submanifolds of hypersurface type

Let $M$ be a pseudoconvex, oriented, bounded and closed CR submanifold of $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ of hypersurface type. Our main result says that when a certain $1$-form on $M$ is exact on the null space of the Levi form, then the complex Green operator on $M$ satisfies Sobolev estimates. This happens in particular when $M$ admits a set of plurisubharmonic defining functions or when $M$ is strictly pseudoconvex except for the points on a simply connected complex submanifold.

Levi-flat hypersurfaces with real analytic boundary

Let $X$ be a Stein manifold of dimension at least 3. Given a compact codimension 2 real analytic submanifold $M$ of $X$, that is the boundary of a compact Levi-flat hypersurface $H$, we study the regularity of $H$. Nowhere minimal CR submanifolds and Levi-flat hypersurfaces

A local uniqueness property of holomorphic functions on real-analytic nowhere minimal CR submanifolds of higher codimension is investigated. A sufficient condition called almost minimality is given and studied. On formal maps between generic submanifolds in complex space

Let H:(M,p)->(M',p') be a formal mapping between two germs of real-analytic generic submanifolds in C^N with nonvanishing Jacobian. Assuming M to be minimal at p and M' holomorphically nondegenerate at p', we prove the convergence of the mapping H. As a consequence, we obtain a new convergence result for arbitrary formal maps between real-analytic hypersurfaces when the target does not contain any holomorphic curve. Geometric sufficient conditions for compactness of the complex Green operator

We establish compactness estimates for $\bar{\partial}_{M}$ on a compact pseudoconvex CR-submanifold $M$ of $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ of hypersurface type that satisfies the (analogue of the) geometric sufficient conditions for compactness of the $\bar{\partial}$-Neumann operator given by the authors earlier. Complete complex hypersurfaces in the ball come in foliations

In this paper we prove that every smooth complete closed complex hypersurface in the open unit ball $\mathbb{B}_n$ of $\mathbb{C}^n$ $(n\ge 2)$ is a level set of a noncritical holomorphic function on $\mathbb{B}_n$ all of whose level sets are complete. Total reality of conormal bundles of hypersurfaces in almost complex manifolds

A generalization to the almost complex setting of a well-known result by S. Webster is given. Namely, we prove that if $Γ$ is a strongly pseudoconvex hypersurface in an almost complex manifold $(M, J)$, then the conormal bundle of $Γ$ is a totally real submanifold of $(T^*M, \J)$, where $\J$ is the lifted almost complex structure on $T^*M$ defined by Ishihara and Yano.
