A flavour gauge theory is observable only if the symmetry is broken at relatively low energies. The intrinsic parity-violation of the fermion representations in a flavour theory describing quark, lepton and higgsino masses and mixings generically requires anomaly cancellation by new fermions. Benchmark supersymmetric flavour models are built and studied to argue that: i) the flavour symmetry breaking should be about three orders of magnitude above the higgsino mass, enough also to efficiently suppress FCNC and CP violations coming from higher-dimensional operators; ii) new fermions with exotic decays into lighter particles are typically required at scales of the order of the higgsino mass.
The molecular picture and the constituent-quark model of exotic hadrons are reviewed, with application to the states recently discovered in the hidden-charm and hidden beauty sectors, and to other configurations.
Flavour-exotic tetraquark mesons, by definition bound states of two quarks and two antiquarks of four mutually different quark flavours, are, for given Lorentz features, subject to two incompatible constraints: On the one hand, within quantum chromodynamics a formation of compact tetraquark states is most easily envisaged by merging two colour-antisymmetric two-quark clusters, a diquark and an antidiquark. This path, however, leads to merely a single tetraquark state of chosen Lorentz characteristics. On the other hand, in the limit of the number of colour degrees of freedom growing beyond bou…
We analyse exotic tetraquark mesons - bound states formed by two quarks and two antiquarks - for the specific case of four different quark flavours within the framework of a well-defined limit of quantum chromodynamics characterized by the correlated growth without bound of the number of colour degrees of freedom and approach to zero of the coupling constant of the strong interactions. On the one hand, the assumption that the tetraquarks of the kind defined above show up, as poles in the amplitudes for the scattering of two ordinary mesons with flavour quantum numbers that match those of these…
Frequently, theoretical discussions of multiquark hadron states prove to be contaminated or even dominated by contributions of conventional hadrons. For the approach to QCD bound states in terms of QCD sum rules, we show how to get rid of all unwanted ordinary-hadron ballast by boiling down the traditional QCD sum-rule formalism to the nonconventional aspects in the focus of interest.
In this talk, we discuss a simplified version of a recently proposed twin Pati-Salam (PS) theory of flavour broken to the $G_{4321}$ gauge group at high energies, then to the Standard Model at low energies, yielding a TeV scale vector leptoquark $U^μ_1(3,1,2/3)$ which may be used to address the lepton universality anomalies $R_{K^{(*)}}$ and $R_{D^{(*)}}$ in $B$ decays. The model also accounts for quark and lepton mass hierarchies, providing a link between the flavour anomalies and a theory of flavour.
Very recently we proposed a predictive 2 Higgs Doublet Model with $S_{3}$ flavour symmetry that successfully accounts for fermion masses and mixings. In this letter, motivated by the $750$ GeV Higgs diphoton resonance recently reported by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations, we modify this model by adding exotic top partners with electric charge $\frac{5}{3}$ and a electrically charged scalar singlet. These exotic top partners decay into a charged scalar singlet and the SM up type quarks, whereas the charged scalar singlet will mainly decay into SM up and down type quarks. This simple modificatio…
Direct searches and the hints for the Higgs at ~125 GeV put increasing pressure on simple models of SUSY breaking, in particular (but not exclusively) on those that automatically solve the flavour problem, such as gauge mediation. SUSY-breaking parameters are pushed to higher and higher values, increasing the fine-tuning required to achieve electroweak symmetry breaking at the observed scale. In this note we consider the situation for models which do not attempt to solve the flavour problem. To treat them on equal footing, we consider the combined fine-tuning arising from electroweak symmetry …
Measurements in heavy-flavour azimuthal angular correlation provide insight into the production, propagation, and hadronization of heavy-flavour jets in ultra-relativistic hadronic and heavy-ion collisions. These measurements across different particle species help to isolate the possible modification in particle production and fragmentation due to different mass and quark contents. Jet correlation studies give direct access to the initial parton dynamics produced in these collisions. \\ This article studies the azimuthal angular correlations of heavy-flavour hadrons (charm and beauty mesons an…
We propose a twin Pati-Salam (PS) theory of flavour broken to the $G_{4321}$ gauge group at high energies, then to the Standard Model at low energies, yielding a TeV scale vector leptoquark $U^μ_1(3,1,2/3)$ which has been suggested to address the lepton universality anomalies $R_{K^{(*)}}$ and $R_{D^{(*)}}$ in $B$ decays. Quark and lepton masses are mediated by vector-like fermions, with personal Higgs doublets for the second and third families, which may be replaced by a two Higgs doublet model (2HDM). The twin PS theory of flavour successfully accounts for all quark and lepton (including neu…
The most general two Higgs doublet model contains new sources of flavour violation that are usually in conflict with the experimental constraints. One possibility to suppress the exotic contribution to the flavour changing neutral currents consists on imposing the alignment of the Yukawa couplings. This condition presumably holds at a high-energy scale and is spoiled by the radiative corrections. We compute in this letter the size of the radiatively induced flavour violating Higgs couplings at the electroweak scale. These also yield the absolute lower bound on the size of the exotic contributi…
We study inclusive charm and bottom production, for both D and B mesons, in p-Pb collisions at the LHC. Numerical results for p_T-differential production cross sections are obtained at next-to-leading-order in the general-mass variable-flavor-number scheme. We compare our results with recent data from ALICE, LHCb and CMS at a center-of-mass energy of 5 TeV and find good agreement. A comparison with p-p cross sections does not reveal the presence of nuclear initial-state interaction effects that could be expected to become visible as deviations of the ratio of p-Pb and p-p cross sections from o…
The subject of heavy flavour decays as probes for physics beyond the TeV scale is covered from the experimental perspective. Emphasis is placed on the more traditional Beyond the Standard Model topics that have potential for impact in the short term, with the physics explained. We do unabashedly promote our own phemonenology work.
The various diagrams leading to neutrinoless double beta decay in the left-right symmetric model have different relative magnitudes, depending on the scale of new physics. Neutrinos acquire mass from both type I and/or type II seesaw terms, making an unambiguous analysis difficult. We study the half-life for double beta decay in the case of type II and type I dominance, in the former case including interference terms. If the heavy neutrinos of the type I seesaw model are at the TeV scale, certain processes can be enhanced. In particular, there are regions of parameter space in which the so-cal…
Scrutinizing the scattering of ordinary mesons in the limiting case of the number of colour degrees of freedom $N_{\rm c}$ of quantum chromodynamics approaching infinity, we formulate Feynman-diagram selection criteria and from these deduce rigorous self-consistency conditions for the manifestation of a tetraquark, a two-quark-two-antiquark bound state, as a pole in the corresponding amplitudes. Our constraints bear rather far-reaching consequences: In particular, all flavour-exotic tetraquarks, composed of four (anti)quarks of disparate flavour, must come in, at least, two variants differing …
The exotic decay modes of non-Standard Model (SM) Higgses in models with extended Higgs sectors have the potential to serve as powerful search channels to explore the space of Two-Higgs Doublet Models (2HDMs) that cannot be studied effectively using conventional decay channels. Once kinematically allowed, heavy Higgses could decay into pairs of light non-SM Higgses, or a non-SM Higgs and a SM gauge boson, with branching fractions that dominate those of the conventional decay modes to SM particles. In this study, we focus on the prospects of probing exotic decay channels at the LHC and a future…
Motivated by the recent hints of lepton flavour non-universality in $B$-meson semi-leptonic decays, we study the constraints of perturbative unitarity on the new physics interpretation of the anomalies in $b \to c \ell \bar ν$ and $b \to s \ell \bar \ell$ transitions. Within an effective field theory approach we find that $2 \to 2$ fermion scattering amplitudes saturate the unitarity bound below 9 TeV and 80 TeV, respectively for $b \to c \ell \bar ν$ and $b \to s \ell \bar \ell$ transitions. Stronger bounds, up to few TeV, are obtained when the leading effective operators are oriented in the …
We investigate the consequences of replacing the continuous flavour symmetry of minimal flavour violation by a discrete group. Goldstone bosons, resulting from the breaking of the continuous flavour symmetry, generically lead to bounds on new flavour structure by many orders of magnitude above the TeV-scale. The absence of Goldstone bosons for discrete symmetries constitutes the primary motivation of our work. The four crystal-like groups Sigma(168), Sigma(72phi), Sigma(216phi) and Sigma(360phi)$ provide enough protection for a discrete TeV-scale MFV scenario in the case where Delta F = 2 proc…
The current 7 TeV run of the LHC experiment shall be able to probe gluino and squark masses up to values of about 1 TeV. Assuming that hints for SUSY are found by the end of a 2 fb$^{-1}$ run, we explore the flavour constraints on the parameter space of the CMSSM, with and without massive neutrinos. In particular, we focus on decays that might have been measured by the time the run is concluded, such as $B_s\toμμ$ and $μ\to eγ$. We also briefly show the impact such a collider--flavour interplay would have on a Flavoured CMSSM.
We study the contraints on non-flavour-blind soft supersymmetry breaking terms coming from flavour and CP violating processes in the presence of hierarchical Yukawa couplings, and quantify how much these constraints are weakened in the regions of the MSSM parameter space characterized by heavy gauginos and multi-TeV sfermion masses, respectively. We also study the inverted sfermion mass hierarchy scenario in the context of D-term supersymmetry breaking, and show that generic hierarchical Yukawa couplings with arbitrary phases require first generation squarks in the few 10 TeV range.
We provide a reference in proton-proton collisions at the energy of the Pb-Pb 2010 run at the LHC, sqrt(s) = 2.76 TeV, for the pt-differential production cross section of D0, D+, and D*+ mesons in |y| < 0.5, of electrons from heavy flavour decays in |y| < 0.9, and of muons from heavy flavour decays in 2.5 < y < 4. The reference is obtained by applying a pQCD-driven scaling (based on the FONLL calculation) to ALICE preliminary data at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV. In order to validate the procedure, we scale the D meson cross section to sqrt(s) = 1.96 TeV and compare to the corresponding measurements from t…
From the interpretation of the $Θ^+(1540)$ and $Ξ_{3/2}(1862)$ baryons as an excitation of the ``skyrmion liquid'' with SU(3) flavour symmetry $\bar{10}$ we deduce a new series of baryons, $Θ_1^{++}$, $Θ_1^{+}$ and $Θ_1^0$, situated at the top of the 27-plet of SU(3) flavour, with hypercharge Y=2, isospin I=1 and spin $J=\frac32$. The $Θ_1$ mass and width are estimated from the chiral quark soliton model. We demonstrate that the predicted mass, $m_{Θ_1}=1599 \mathrm{MeV/c^2}$, and broad width are in qualitative conflict with experiment which shows no structure in the total $K^+p$ cross section…
We consider lepton flavour violating decays of the top quark, mediated by four-fermion operators. We compile constraints on a complete set of SU(3)*U(1)-invariant operators, arising from their loop contributions to rare decays and from HERA's single top search. The bounds on e-mu flavour change are more restrictive than l-tau; nonetheless the top could decay to a jet $+ e \barμ$ with a branching ratio of order $10^{-3}$. We estimate that the currently available LHC data (20 inverse-fb at 8 TeV) could be sensitive to $BR(t \to e \barμ$+ jet) $ \sim 6\times 10^{-5}$, and extrapolate that 100 inv…
The exotic decay modes of non-Standard Model Higgs bosons are efficient in probing the hierarchical Two Higgs Doublet Models (2HDM). In particular, the decay mode $H^\pm\to HW^\pm$ serves as a powerful channel in searching for charged Higgses. In this paper, we analyzed the reach for $H^\pm\to HW^\pm \to t\bar{t}W$ at a 100 TeV $pp$ collider, and showed that it extends the reach of the previously studied $ττW$ final states once above the top threshold. Top tagging technique is used, in combination with the boosted decision tree classifier. Almost the entire hierarchical Type-II 2HDM parameter …
We analyze lepton flavour violating transitions, leptonic magnetic dipole moments (MDMs) and electric dipole moments (EDMs) in a class of models characterized by the flavour symmetry A4 x Z3 x U(1)_{FN}, whose choice is motivated by the approximate tri-bimaximal mixing observed in neutrino oscillations. We construct the relevant low-energy effective Lagrangian where these effects are dominated by dimension six operators, suppressed by the scale M of new physics. All the flavour breaking effects are universally described by the vacuum expectation values <Phi> of a set of spurions. We separately…
The flavour lepton symmetry is gauged for both the Standard Model flavor group and its extension with three degenerate right-handed neutrinos. As a consequence of anomaly cancellation, exotic leptons are introduced which induce a see-saw mechanism that generates the masses of the SM leptons. The model is compared with Minimal Flavour Violation, the difference between the low-energy effective operators resulting is identified, as well as the distinctive experimental signals, particularly promising in the $μ-τ$ sector.
We investigate the single production and decay of charge -1/3, weak isosinglet vectorlike exotic $D$ quarks in string inspired $E_6$ theories at future ep colliders; THERA with $\sqrt s$=1 TeV, L=40 $pb^{-1}$ and CERN Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC) with $\sqrt s$=1.4 TeV, $L=10^4$ $pb^{-1}$. We found that an analysis of the decay modes of $D$ should probe the mass ranges of 100-450 GeV and 100-1200 GeV at the center of mass energies, 1 and 1.4 TeV, respectively.
A dynamically constrained phase-space coalescence model plus PACIAE model was used to predict the exotic resonant state $Z_c^{\pm}(3900)$ yield, transverse momentum distribution, and the rapidity distribution with $|y| < 6$ and $p_T < 10$ GeV/c in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96, 7$ and 13 TeV, respectively. The yield of the $Z_c^{\pm}(3900)$ is estimated to be around $10^{-6}$ to $10^{-5}$. We also present the energy dependence of the transverse momentum distributions and rapidity distributions for ${Z_c^{+}(3900)}$ and ${Z_c^{-}(3900)}$. The production of ${Z_c^{+}(3900)}$ and its anti-p…
Top quark physics at the LHC may open a window to physics beyond the standard model and even lead us to an understanding of the phenomenon "flavour". However, current flavour data is a strong hint that no "new physics" with a generic flavour structure can be expected in the TeV scale. In turn, if there is "new physics" at the TeV scale, it must be "minimally flavour violating". This has become a widely accepted assumption for "new physics" models. In this paper we propose a model-independent scheme to test minimal flavour violation for the anomalous charged $Wtq$, $q\in{d,s,b}$, and flavour-ch…
The observed pattern of mixing in the neutrino sector may be explained by the presence of a non-Abelian, discrete flavour symmetry broken into residual subgroups at low energies. Many flavour models require the presence of Standard Model singlet scalars which can promptly decay to charged leptons in a flavour-violating manner. We constrain the model parameters of a generic $A_4$ leptonic flavour model using a synergy of experimental data including limits from charged lepton flavour conversion, an 8 TeV collider analysis and constraints from the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The most p…
We have used the dynamically constrained phase space coalescence model to study the production of the exotic state $X(3872)$ based on the hadronic final states generated by the parton and hadron cascade model (PACIAE) with $|y|<1$ and $p_T < 15.5$ GeV/c in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ and 13 TeV, respectively. Here the $X(3872)$ is assumed to consist of bound state $D\bar {D^*}$, which can form three possible structures for the tetraquark state, the nucleus-like state, and the molecular state. The yields of three different structures $X(3872)$ were predicted. The transverse momentum distrib…
We discuss the role of flavour physics in building effective theories at the TeV scale. Particular attention is devoted to the Minimal Flavour Violation hypothesis, both in the quark and in the lepton sector. Alternative flavour-protection mechanisms, such as the hierarchical fermion profiles of models with a warped fifth dimension, are also briefly discussed.
The current 7 TeV run of the LHC experiment shall be able to probe gluino and squark masses up to values larger than 1 TeV. Assuming that hints for SUSY are found in the jets plus missing energy channel by the end of a 5 fb$^{-1}$ run, we explore the flavour constraints on three models with a CMSSM-like spectrum: the CMSSM itself, a Seesaw extension of the CMSSM, and Flavoured CMSSM. In particular, we focus on decays that might have been measured by the time the run is concluded, such as $B_s\toμμ$ and $μ\to eγ$. We also analyse constraints imposed by neutral meson bounds and electric dipole m…
The exotic resonant state $P_{c}^{\pm}(4312)$, $P_{c}^{\pm}(4440)$, and $P_{c}^{\pm}(4457)$ are studied by using the dynamically constrained phase space coalescence DCPC model and PACIAE model in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$, 13TeV, respectively. We consider exotic state $P_{c}^{\pm}(4312)$, $P_{c}^{\pm}(4440)$ and $P_{c}^{\pm}(4457)$ to be three kinds of possible structures, i.e. pentaquark state, the nucleus-like state, and the molecular state based on $P_c^\pm \to J/ψ{p}{(\bar p)}$ bound state. The yield, the transverse momentum distribution and the rapidity distribution of $P_{c}$ with …
We study the possibility of generating non-zero reactor mixing angle $θ_{13}$ and baryon asymmetry of the Universe within the framework of an $A_4$ flavour symmetric model. Using the conventional type I seesaw mechanism we construct the Dirac and Majorana mass matrices which give rise to the correct light neutrino mass matrix. Keeping the right handed neutrino mass matrix structure trivial so that it gives rise to a (quasi) degenerate spectrum of heavy neutrinos suitable for resonant leptogenesis at TeV scale, we generate the non-trivial structure of Dirac neutrino mass matrix that can lead to…
We investigate the status of models containing exotic fermions or extra Z-like neutral gauge bosons in the light of the recent data on anomalous magnetic moment of muon. We find that it is possible to extract interesting bounds on the parameters characterizing such models. The bounds are particularly strong if the new flavour-changing neutral currents are axial vectorlike.
We perform a comprehensive study of charged lepton flavour violation in Randall-Sundrum (RS) models in a fully 5D quantum-field-theoretical framework. We consider the RS model with minimal field content and a "custodially protected" extension as well as three implementations of the IR-brane localized Higgs field, including the non-decoupling effect of the Kaluza-Klein (KK) excitations of a narrow bulk Higgs. Our calculation provides the first complete result for the flavour-violating electromagnetic dipole operator in Randall-Sundrum models. It contains three contributions with different depen…
We study flavour-violating processes which involve heavy B- and D-mesons and are mediated by Kaluza-Klein modes of gauge bosons in a previously suggested model where three generations of the Standard Model fermions originate from a single generation in six dimensions. We find the bound on the size R of the extra spatial dimensions 1/R>3.3 TeV, which arises from the three-body decay B_s to K mu e. Due to the still too low statistics this bound is much less stringent than the constraint arising from K to mu e, 1/R>64 TeV, which was found in a previous work (Frere et al., JHEP, 2003). Nevertheles…
Flavour-violating interactions of the stop-quarks are expected to provide an additional few GeV contributions to the Higgs-Boson mass, particularly when mix with scharm-quarks, thereby allowing reduced supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking scale compared to flavour-conserving constrained minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (CMSSM). Inspired by this, we analyse the interactions mentioned above in the context of CMSSM using the information entropy of the Higgs-Boson for a wider region of flavour-violating CMSSM parameter space $(m_0,m_{1/2},A_0,$ $\tanβ,sgn(μ),δ_{ct}^{ij})$, where $δ_{ct}^{ij}$ repres…
We study the intersection of flavour and collider physics for Two-Higgs-Doublet models of Type I and II. Drawing from the flavour precision-LHC exotics search complementarity, we also provide a projection of the future sensitivity that can be achieved in light of currently available analyses. On the one hand, we find that the parameter space of the 2HDM can be explored significantly further with more data from the LHC with some complementarity with flavour physics. On the other hand, flavour physics results alongside their projections remain powerful tools to constrain the model space in regio…
In ALICE, open heavy-flavour production is studied through the measurements of the leptons (electrons and muons) from heavy-flavour hadron decays at central and forward rapidity and via the reconstruction of D-meson hadronic decays at mid-rapidity. An overview of the open heavy-flavour production with ALICE in pp ($\sqrt{s}$ = 2.76 TeV and 7 TeV), p--Pb ($\sqrt {s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV) and Pb--Pb ($\sqrt {s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV) collisions will be presented. We will discuss the production cross sections, modifications of the transverse momentum distributions, azimuthal anisotropic emissions …
We present a general class of operators resembling compact tetraquarks which have a range of colour-flavour-spin structures, transform irreducibly under the symmetries of the lattice and respect other relevant symmetries. These constructions are demonstrated in lattice QCD calculations with light quarks corresponding to $m_π=$ 391 MeV. Using the distillation framework, correlation functions involving large bases of meson-meson and tetraquark operators are computed in the isospin-1 hidden-charm and doubly-charmed sectors, and finite-volume spectra are extracted with the variational method. We f…
In these proceedings we summarise the recent studies of exotic hadrons performed at the LHC and Tevatron. The X(3872) production cross section and mass measurements are reported, along with the determination of its quantum numbers, the searches for decays to $\mathrm{p\bar{p}}$, and for partner states in the bottomonium sector. Furthermore, we discuss the Y(4140) and Y(4274) structures, observed by several experiments in the $J/ψϕ$ invariant mass spectrum.
We consider gauge coupling unification in E6 F-Theory Grand Unified Theories (GUTs) where E6 is broken to the Standard Model (SM) gauge group using fluxes. In such models there are two types of exotics that can affect gauge coupling unification, namely matter exotics from the matter curves in the 27 dimensional representation of E6 and the bulk exotics from the adjoint 78 dimensional representation of E6. We explore the conditions required for either the complete or partial removal of bulk exotics from the low energy spectrum. In the latter case we shall show that (miraculously) gauge coupling…
The nuclear aspects of flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) processes, predicted by various new-physics models to occur in the presence of nuclei, are examined by computing the relevant nuclear matrix elements within the context of the quasi-particle RPA using realistic strong two-body forces. One of our aims is to explore the role of the non-standard interactions (NSI) in the leptonic sector and specifically: (i) in lepton flavour violating (LFV) processes involving the neutral particles $ν_\ell$ and $\tildeν_\ell$, $\ell = e,μ,τ$ and (ii) in charged lepton flavour violating (cLFV) process…
We propose a class of left-right symmetric models (LRSMs) with spontaneous D parity breaking, where SU(2)_R breaks at the TeV scale while discrete left-right symmetry breaks around 10^9 GeV. By embedding this framework in a non-supersymmetric SO(10) Grand Unified Theory (GUT) with Pati-Salam symmetry as the highest intermediate breaking step, we obtain g_R / g_L ~ 0.6 between the right- and left-handed gauge couplings at the TeV scale. This leads to a suppression of beyond the Standard Model phenomena induced by the right-handed gauge coupling. Here we focus specifically on the consequences fo…
The version of the higher-dimensional Randall-Sundrum (RS) model with matter in the bulk, which addresses the gauge hierarchy problem, has additional attractive features. In particular, it provides an intrinsic geometrical mechanism that can explain the origin of the large mass hierarchies among the Standard Model fermions. Within this context, a good solution for the gauge hierarchy problem corresponds to low masses for the Kaluza-Klein (KK) excitations of the gauge bosons. Some scenarios have been proposed in order to render these low masses (down to a few TeV) consistent with precision elec…
We did a model independent phenomenological study of baryogenesis via leptogenesis, neutrinoless double beta decay (NDBD) and charged lepton flavour violation (CLFV) in a generic left-right symmetric model (LRSM) where neutrino mass originates from the type I + type II seesaw mechanism. We studied the new physics contributions to NDBD coming from the left-right gauge boson mixing and the heavy neutrino contribution within the framework of LRSM. We have considered the mass of the RH gauge boson to be specifically 5 TeV, 10 TeV and 18 TeV and studied the effects of the new physics contributions …
Flavour-violating couplings of Higgs boson with stop and scharm quarks could be very important as in addition to lifting the mass of the Higgs boson by a few GeV, it could also play a vital phenomenological role in reducing the Supersymmetry breaking scale significantly. In this work, we investigate effects of such flavour-violating couplings within the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (CMSSM) framework in the context of LEP data, Higgs data at the LHC, precision observables and the relic density of the dark matter using Bayesian statistics. Our detailed analysis reveals that …
We demonstrate that the explanation of the neutron anomaly around $W\sim 1685$MeV in $γN\to ηN$ reactions provided by the $η$MAID2018 isobar model is based on large violation of the flavour SU(3) symmetry in hadron interactions. This is yet another example of how conventional explanation (without invoking exotic narrow nucleon resonance) of the neutron anomaly metamorphoses into unconventional physics picture of hadron interactions. A possibility to mend the flavour SU(3) symmetry for some of resonances in $η$MAID model is discussed.
The physics of exotic hadrons is revisited and reviewed, with emphasis on flavour configurations which have not yet been investigated. The constituent quark model of multiquark states is discussed in some detail, as it can serve as a guide for more elaborate approaches.
