We associate to any (suitable) bicovariant differential calculus on a quantum group a Cartan Hopf algebra which has a left, respectively right, representation in terms of left, respectively right, Cartan calculus operators. The example of the Hopf algebra associated to the $4D_+$ differential calculus on $SU_q(2)$ is described.
Given a bicovariant differential calculus $(\mathcal{E}, d)$ such that the braiding map is diagonalisable in a certain sense, the bimodule of two-tensors admits a direct sum decomposition into symmetric and anti-symmetric tensors. This is used to prove the existence of a bicovariant torsionless connection on $\mathcal{E}$. Following Heckenberger and Schm{ü}dgen, we study invariant metrics and the compatibility of covariant connections with such metrics. A sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of bicovariant Levi-Civita connections is derived. This condition is shown to hold for…
A bicovariant calculus on the twisted inhomogeneous multiparametric $q$-groups of the $B_n,C_n,D_n$ type, and on the corresponding quantum planes, is found by means of a projection from the bicovariant calculus on $B_{n+1}$, $C_{n+1}$, $D_{n+1}$. In particular we obtain the bicovariant calculus on a dilatation-free $q$-Poincaré group $ISO_q (3,1)$, and on the corresponding quantum Minkowski space. The classical limit of the $B_n,C_n,D_n$ bicovariant calculus is discussed in detail.
Derivation of $κ$-Poincare bicovariant commutation relations between coordinates and 1-forms on $κ$-Minkowski space is given using Dirac operator and Allain Connes formula. The deformed U(1) gauge theory and appearance of an additional spin 0 gauge field is discussed.
We construct a deformation of the quantum algebra Fun(T^*G) associated with Lie group G to the case where G is replaced by a quantum group G_q which has a bicovariant calculus. The deformation easily allows for the inclusion of the current algebra of left and right invariant one forms. We use it to examine a possible generalization of the Gauss law commutation relations for gauge theories based on G_q.
The bicovariant differential calculus on fourdimensional kappa-Poincare group and corresponding Lie-algebra like structure for any metric tensor are described. The bicovariant differential calculus on four-dimensional kappa-Weyl group and corresponding Lie-algebra like structure for any matric tensor in the reference frame in which $g_{00}=0$ are considered.
The bicovariant differential calculus on the three-dimensional Kappa-Poincar'e group and the corresponding Lie-algebra structure are described. The equivalence of this Lie-algebra structure and the three-dimensional $κ$-Poincaré algebra is proved.
The bicovariant differential calculus on the four-dimensional kappa-Poincare group and the corresponding Lie-algebra like structure are described. The deifferential calculus on the n-dimensional kappa-Minkowski space covariant under the action of the kappa-Poincare group is constructed.
The aim of this lecture is to give a pedagogical explanation of the notion of a Poisson Lie structure on the external algebra of a Poisson Lie group which was introduced in our previous papers. Using this notion as a guide we construct quantum external algebras on $SL_q(N)$ with proper (classical) dimension.
Super Hopf algebra structure on the function algebra on the extended quantum superspace has been defined. It is given a bicovariant differential calculus on the superspace. The corresponding (quantum) Lie superalgebra of vector fields and its Hopf algebra structure are obtained. The dual Hopf algebra is explicitly constructed. A new quantum supergroup that is the symmetry group of the differential calculus is found.
We classify all 4-dimensional first order bicovariant calculi on the Jordanian quantum group GL_{h,g}(2) and all 3-dimensional first order bicovariant calculi on the Jordanian quantum group SL_{h}(2). In both cases we assume that the bicovariant bimodules are generated as left modules by the differentials of the quantum group generators. It is found that there are 3 1-parameter families of 4-dimensional bicovariant first order calculi on GL_{h,g}(2) and that there is a single, unique, 3-dimensional bicovariant calculus on SL_{h}(2). This 3-dimensional calculus may be obtained through a classic…
We introduce a large class of bicovariant differential calculi on any quantum group $A$, associated to $Ad$-invariant elements. For example, the deformed trace element on $SL_q(2)$ recovers Woronowicz' $4D_\pm$ calculus. More generally, we obtain a sequence of differential calculi on each quantum group $A(R)$, based on the theory of the corresponding braided groups $B(R)$. Here $R$ is any regular solution of the QYBE.
All bicovariant first order differential calculi on the quantum group GLq(3,C) are determined. There are two distinct one-parameter families of calculi. In terms of a suitable basis of 1-forms the commutation relations can be expressed with the help of the R-matrix of GLq(3,C). Some calculi induce bicovariant differential calculi on SLq(3,C) and on real forms of GLq(3,C). For generic deformation parameter q there are six calculi on SLq(3,C), on SUq(3) there are only two. The classical limit q-->1 of bicovariant calculi on SLq(3,C) is not the ordinary calculus on SL(3,C). One obtains a deformat…
Braided non-commutative differential geometry is studied. In particular we investigate the theory of (bicovariant) differential calculi in braided abelian categories. Previous results on crossed modules and Hopf bimodules in braided categories are used to construct higher order bicovariant differential calculi over braided Hopf algebras out of first order ones. These graded objects are shown to be braided differential Hopf algebras with universal bialgebra properties. The article especially extends Woronowicz's results on (bicovariant) differential calculi to the braided non-commutative case.
Intrinsic Hopf algebra structure of the Woronowicz differential complex is shown to generate quite naturally a bicovariant algebra of four basic objects within a differential calculus on quantum groups -- coordinate functions, differential 1-forms, Lie derivatives, and inner derivations -- as the cross-product algebra of two mutually dual graded Hopf algebras. This construction, properly taking into account Hopf-algebraic properties of Woronowicz's bicovariant calculus, provides a direct proof of the Cartan identity and of many other useful relations. A detailed comparison with other approache…
Concepts of first order differential calculus (FODC) on a monoidal Hom-algebra and left-covariant FODC over a left Hom-quantum space with respect to a monoidal Hom-Hopf algebra are presented. Then, extension of the universal FODC over a monoidal Hom-algebra to a universal Hom-differential calculus is described. Next, concepts of left(right)-covariant and bicovariant FODC over a monoidal Hom-Hopf algebra are studied in detail. Subsequently, notion of quantum Hom-tangent space associated to a bicovariant Hom-FODC is introduced and equipped with an analogue of Lie bracket (commutator) through Wor…
A review of the multiparametric linear quantum group GL_qr(N), its real forms, its dual algebra U(gl_qr(N)) and its bicovariant differential calculus is given in the first part of the paper. We then construct the (multiparametric) linear inhomogeneous quantum group IGL_qr(N) as a projection from GL_qr(N+1), or equivalently, as a quotient of GL_qr(N+1) with respect to a suitable Hopf algebra ideal. A bicovariant differential calculus on IGL_qr(N) is explicitly obtained as a projection from the one on GL_qr(N+1). Our procedure unifies in a single structure the quantum plane coordinates and the q…
The bicovariant differential calculi on quantum groups of Woronowicz have the drawback that their dimensions do not agree with that of the corresponding classical calculus. In this paper we discuss the first-order differential calculus which arises from a simple quantum Lie algebra. This calculus has the correct dimension and is shown to be bicovariant and complete. But it does not satisfy the Leibniz rule. For sl_n this approach leads to a differential calculus which satisfies a simple generalization of the Leibniz rule.
We show that the bicovariant first order differential calculi on a factorisable semisimple quantum group are in 1-1 correspondence with irreducible representations $V$ of the quantum group enveloping algebra. The corresponding calculus is constructed and has dimension $dim V^2$. The differential calculi on a finite group algebra $C G$ are also classified and shown to be in correspondence with pairs consisting of an irreducible representation $V$ and a continuous parameter in $C P^{dim V -1}$. They have dimension $dim V$. For a classical Lie group we obtain an infinite family of non-standard ca…
We show that if $g_Γ$ is the quantum tangent space (or quantum Lie algebra in the sense of Woronowicz) of a bicovariant first order differential calculus over a coquasitriangular Hopf algebra $(A,r)$, then a certain extension of it is a braided Lie algebra in the category of $A$-comodules. This is used to show that the Woronowicz quantum universal enveloping algebra $U(g_Γ)$ is a bialgebra in the braided category of $A$-comodules. We show that this algebra is quadratic when the calculus is inner. Examples with this unexpected property include finite groups and quantum groups with their standar…
For transcendental values of $q$ all bicovariant first order differential calculi on the coordinate Hopf algebras of the quantum groups $SL_q(n+1)$ and $Sp_q(2n)$ are classified. It is shown that the irreducible bicovariant first order calculi are determined by an irreducible corepresentation of the quantum group and a complex number $ζ$ such that $ζ^{n+1}=1$ for $SL_q(n+1)$ and $ζ^2=1$ for $Sp_q(2n)$. Any bicovariant calculus is inner and its quantum Lie algebra is generated by a central element. The main technical ingredient is a result of the Hopf algebra $R(G_q)^0$ for arbitrary simple Lie…
We show that the algebra of the bicovariant differential calculus on a quantum group can be understood as a projection of the cross product between a braided Hopf algebra and the quantum double of the quantum group. The resulting super-Hopf algebra can be reproduced by extending the exterior derivative to tensor products.
We show that bicovariant bimodules as defined by Woronowicz are in one to one correspondence with the Drinfeld quantum double representations. We then prove that a differential calculus associated to a bicovariant bimodule of dimension n is connected to the existence of a particular (n+1)--dimensional representation of the double. An example of bicovariant differential calculus on the non quasitriangular quantum group E_q(2) is developed. The construction is studied in terms of Hochschild cohomology and a correspondence between differential calculi and 1-cocycles is proved. Some differences of…
We consider inner deformations of families of $A_\infty$-algebras. With the help of noncommutative Cartan's calculus, we prove the invariance of Hochschild (co)homology under inner deformations. The invariance also holds for cyclic cohomology classes that satisfy some additional conditions. Applications to dg-algebras and QFT problems are briefly discussed.
We extend the universal differential calculus on an arbitrary Hopf algebra to a ``universal Cartan calculus''. This is accomplished by introducing inner derivations and Lie derivatives which act on the elements of the universal differential envelope. A new algebra is formulated by incorporating these new objects into the universal differential calculus together with consistent commutation relations. We also explain how to include nontrivial commutation relations into this formulation to obtain the ``generalized Cartan calculus''.
A Cartan Calculus of Lie derivatives, differential forms, and inner derivations, based on an undeformed Cartan identity, is constructed. We attempt a classification of various types of quantum Lie algebras and present a fairly general example for their construction, utilizing pure braid methods, proving orthogonality of the adjoint representation and giving a (Killing) metric and the quadratic casimir. A reformulation of the Cartan calculus as a braided algebra and its extension to quantum planes, directly and induced from the group calculus, are provided.
We describe Laplacian operators on the quantum group SUq (2) equipped with the four dimensional bicovariant differential calculus of Woronowicz as well as on the quantum homogeneous space S2q with the restricted left covariant three dimensional differential calculus. This is done by giving a family of Hodge dualities on both the exterior algebras of SUq (2) and S2q . We also study gauged Laplacian operators acting on sections of line bundles over the quantum sphere.
We develop a construction of the unitary type anti-involution for the quantized differential calculus over $GL_q(n)$ in the case $|q|=1$. To this end, we consider a joint associative algebra of quantized functions, differential forms and Lie derivatives over $GL_q(n)/SL_q(n)$, which is bicovariant with respect to $GL_q(n)/SL_q(n)$ coactions. We define a specific non-central {\em spectral extension} of this algebra by the spectral variables of three matrices of the algebra generators. In the spectrally expended algebra we construct three-parametric family of its inner automorphisms. These autom…
On the exterior algebra over the quantum SU(2) coming from the four dimensional bicovariant calculus à la Woronowicz we introduce, using sesquilinear contraction maps, a class of metrics and Hodge duality operators, and compare this formulation with the previous ones presented in the literature.
We investigate the algebro-geometric structure of a novel two-parameter quantum deformation which exhibits the nature of a semidirect or cross-product algebra built upon GL(2) x GL(1), and is related to several other known examples of quantum groups. Following the R-matrix framework, we construct the L+/- functionals and address the problem of duality for this quantum group. This naturally leads to the construction of a bicovariant differential calculus that depends only on one deformation parameter, respects the cross-product structure and has interesting applications. The corresponding Jorda…
We construct a noncommutative Cartan calculus on any braided commutative algebra and study its applications in noncommutative geometry. The braided Lie derivative, insertion and de Rham differential are introduced and related via graded braided commutators, also incorporating the braided Schouten-Nijenhuis bracket. The resulting braided Cartan calculus generalizes the Cartan calculus on smooth manifolds and the twisted Cartan calculus. While it is a necessity of derivation based Cartan calculi on noncommutative algebras to employ central bimodules our approach allows to consider bimodules over…
A standard bicovariant differential calculus on a quantum matrix space ${\tt Mat}(m,n)_q$ is considered. The principal result of this work is in observing that the $U_q\frak{s}(\frak{gl}_m\times \frak{gl}_n))_q$ is in fact a $U_q\frak{sl}(m+n)$-module differential algebra.
We first give a pedagogical introduction to the differential calculus on q-groups and analize the relation between differential calculus and q-Lie algebra. Equivalent definitions of bicovariant differential calculus are studied and their geometrical interpretation is explained. Vectorfields, contraction operator and Lie derivative are defined and their properties discussed. After a review of the geometry of the (multiparametric) linear q-group $GL_{q,r}(N)$ we construct the inhomogeneous q-group $IGL_{q,r}(N)$ as a projection from $GL_{q,r}(N+1)$, i.e. as a quotient of $GL_{q,r}(N+1)$ with res…
From the bicovariant first order differential calculus on inhomogeneous Hopf algebra ${\cal B}$ we construct the set of right-invariant Maurer-Cartan one-forms considered as a right-invariant basis of a bicovariant ${\cal B}$-bimodule over which we develop the Woronowicz's general theory of differential calculus on quantum groups. In this formalism, we introduce suitable functionals on ${\cal B}$ which control the inhomogeneous commutation rules. In particular we find that the homogeneous part of commutation rules between the translations and those between the generators of the homogeneous par…
A rigid framework for the Cartan calculus of Lie derivatives, inner derivations, functions, and forms is proposed. The construction employs a semi-direct product of two graded Hopf algebras, the respective super-extensions of the deformed universal enveloping algebra and the algebra of functions on a quantum group. Relations in the Cartan calculus follow as consistency conditions. The approach is not a priori based on the Leibniz rule for the exterior derivative and might hence also be of interest in the recent work on its deformations. The Cartan identity for the Lie derivatives is proven. (T…
We construct differential calculi on multiparametric quantum orthogonal planes in any dimension N. These calculi are bicovariant under the action of the full inhomogeneous (multiparametric) quantum group ISO_{q,r}(N), and do contain dilatations. If we require bicovariance only under the quantum orthogonal group SO_{q,r}(N), the calculus on the q-plane can be expressed in terms of its coordinates x^a, differentials dx^a and partial derivatives \partial_a without the need of dilatations, thus generalizing known results to the multiparametric case. Using real forms that lead to the signature (n+1…
To give a Cartan calculus on the extended quantum 3d space, the noncommutative differential calculus on the extended quantum 3d space is extended by introducing inner derivations and Lie derivatives.
A generalization of the differential geometry of forms and vector fields to the case of quantum Lie algebras is given. In an abstract formulation that incorporates many existing examples of differential geometry on quantum groups, we combine an exterior derivative, inner derivations, Lie derivatives, forms and functions all into one big algebra. In particular we find a generalized Cartan identity that holds on the whole quantum universal enveloping algebra of the left-invariant vector fields and implicit commutation relations for a left-invariant basis of 1-forms.
In this thesis we give obstructions for Drinfel'd twist deformation quantization on several classes of symplectic manifolds. Motivated from this quantization procedure, we further construct a noncommutative Cartan calculus on any braided commutative algebra, as well as an equivariant Levi-Civita covariant derivative for any non-degenerate equivariant metric. This generalizes and unifies the Cartan calculus on a smooth manifold and the Cartan calculus on twist star product algebras. We prove that the Drinfel'd functor leads to equivalence classes in braided commutative geometry and commutes wit…
The deformed double covering of E(2) group, denoted by $\tilde{E}_κ(2)$, is obtained by contraction from the $SU_μ(2)$. The contraction procedure is then used for producing a new examples of differential calculi: 3D-left covariant calculus on both $\tilde{E}_κ(2)$ and the deformed Euclidean group $E_κ(2)$ and two different 4D-bicovariant calculi on $\tilde{E}_κ(2)$ which correspond to the one 4D-bicovariant calculi on $E_κ(2)$ described in Ref.\cite{b14}.
In this paper we review the recently proposed path-integral counterpart of the Koopman-von Neumann operatorial approach to classical Hamiltonian mechanics. We identify in particular the geometrical variables entering this formulation and show that they are essentially a basis of the cotangent bundle to the tangent bundle to phase-space. In this space we introduce an extended Poisson brackets structure which allows us to re-do all the usual Cartan calculus on symplectic manifolds via these brackets. We also briefly sketch how the Schouten-Nijenhuis, the Frölicher- Nijenhuis and the Nijenhuis-Ri…
We provide the Cartan calculus for bicovariant differential forms on bicrossproduct quantum groups $k(M)\lrbicross kG$ associated to finite group factorizations $X=GM$ and a field $k$. The irreducible calculi are associated to certain conjugacy classes in $X$ and representations of isotropy groups. We find the full exterior algebras and show that they are inner by a bi-invariant 1-form $θ$ which is a generator in the noncommutative de Rham cohomology $H^1$. The special cases where one subgroup is normal are analysed. As an application, we study the noncommutative cohomology on the quantum codo…
We study the biparametric quantum deformation of GL(2) x GL(1) and exhibit its cross-product structure. We derive explictly the associated dual algebra, i.e., the quantised universal enveloping algebra employing the R-matrix procedure. This facilitates construction of a bicovariant differential calculus which is also shown to have a cross-product structure. Finally, a Jordanian analogue of the deformation is presented as a cross-product algebra.
Let A be a Hopf algebra and $Gamma$ be a bicovariant first order differential calculus over A. It is known that there are three possibilities to construct a differential Hopf algebra $Gamma^wedge$ that contains $Gamma$ as its first order part; namely the universal exterior algebra, the second antisymmetrizer exterior algebra, and Woronowicz' external algebra. Now let A be one of the quantum groups GL_q(N) or SL_q(N). Let $Gamma$ be one of the N^2-dimensional bicovariant first order differential calculi over A and let q be transcendental. For Woronowicz' external algebra we determine the dimens…
The natural generalization of the notion of bundle in quantum geometry is that of bimodule. If the base space has quantum group symmetries one is particularly interested in bimodules covariant (equivariant) under these symmetries. Most attention has so far been focused on the case with maximal symmetry -- where the base space is a quantum group and the bimodules are bicovariant. The structure of bicovariant bimodules is well understood through their correspondence with crossed modules. We investigate the ``next best'' case -- where the base space is a quantum homogeneous space and the bimodule…
We give a pedagogical introduction to the differential calculus on quantum groups by stressing at all stages the connection with the classical case ($q \rightarrow 1$ limit). The Lie derivative and the contraction operator on forms and tensor fields are found. A new, explicit form of the Cartan--Maurer equations is presented. The example of a bicovariant differential calculus on the quantum group $GL_q(2)$ is given in detail. The softening of a quantum group is considered, and we introduce $q$-curvatures satisfying q-Bianchi identities, a basic ingredient for the construction of $q$-gravity an…
Let $Γ$ be an $N^2$-dimensional bicovariant first order differential calculus on a Hopf algebra $SL_q(N)$. There are three possibilities to construct a differential Z-graded Hopf algebra $Γ^\wedge$ which contains $Γ$ as its first order part. Let $q$ be a transcendental complex number. For $N>2$ these three Z-graded Hopf algebras coincide. For Woronowicz' external algebra we calculate the dimensions of the spaces of left-invariant and bi-invariant $k$-forms. In this case each bi-invariant form is closed. In case of $4D_\pm$ calculi on $SL_q(2)$ the universal calculus is strictly larger than the…
Star products on the classical double group of a simple Lie group and on corresponding symplectic grupoids are given so that the quantum double and the "quantized tangent bundle" are obtained in the deformation description. "Complex" quantum groups and bicovariant quantum Lie algebras are discused from this point of view. Further we discuss the quantization of the Poisson structure on symmetric algebra $S(g)$ leading to the quantized enveloping algebra $U_{h}(g)$ as an example of biquantization in the sense of Turaev. Description of $U_{h}(g)$ in terms of the generators of the bicovariant diff…
We re-examine all the contractions related with the ${\cal U}_q(su(2))$ deformed algebra and study the consequences that the contraction process has for their structure. We also show using ${\cal U}_q(su(2))\times{\cal U}(u(1))$ as an example that, as in the undeformed case, the contraction may generate Hopf algebra cohomology. We shall show that most of the different Hopf algebra deformations obtained have a bicrossproduct or a cocycle bicrossproduct structure, for which we shall also give their dual `group' versions. The bicovariant differential calculi on the deformed spaces associated with…
We study the quantum plane associated to the coloured quantum group GL_{q}^{λ,μ}(2) and solve the problem of constructing the corresponding differential geometric structure. This is achieved within the R-matrix framework generalising the Wess-Zumino formalism and leads to the concept of coloured quantum space. Both, the coloured Manin plane as well as the bicovariant differential calculus exhibit the colour exchange symmetry. The coloured h-plane corresponding to the coloured Jordanian quantum group GL_{h}^{λ,μ}(2) is also obtained by contraction of the coloured q-plane.
The topic of this thesis is the development of a versatile and geometrically motivated differential calculus on non-commutative or quantum spaces, providing powerful but easy-to-use mathematical tools for applications in physics and related sciences. A generalization of unitary time evolution is proposed and studied for a simple 2-level system, leading to non-conservation of microscopic entropy, a phenomenon new to quantum mechanics. A Cartan calculus that combines functions, forms, Lie derivatives and inner derivations along general vector fields into one big algebra is constructed for quantu…
Cartan calculi on the extended quantum superplane are given. To this end, the noncommutative differential calculus on the extended quantum superplane is extended by introducing inner derivations and Lie derivatives.
We show that if the cochain complex computing Ext groups (in the category of modules over Hopf algebroids) admits a cocyclic structure, then the noncommutative Cartan calculus structure on Tor over Ext dualises in a cyclic sense to a calculus on Coext over Cotor. More precisely, the cyclic duals of the chain resp. cochain spaces computing the two classical derived functors lead to complexes that compute the more exotic ones, giving a cyclic opposite module over an operad with multiplication that induce operations such as a Lie derivative, a cap product (or contraction), and a (cyclic) differen…
I introduce in kappa-Minkowski noncommutative spacetime the basic tools of quantum differential geometry, namely bicovariant differential calculus, Lie and inner derivatives, the integral, the Hodge-star and the metric. I show the relevance of these tools for field theory with an application to complex scalar field, for which I am able to identify a vector-valued four-form which generalizes the energy-momentum tensor. Its closedness is proved, expressing in a covariant form the conservation of energy-momentum.
We realise Heckenberger and Kolb's canonical calculus on quantum projective (n-1)-space as the restriction of a distinguished quotient of the standard bicovariant calculus for Cq[SUn]. We introduce a calculus on the quantum (2n-1)-sphere in the same way. With respect to these choices of calculi, we present quantum projective (N-1)-space as the base space of two different quantum principal bundles, one with total space Cq[SUn], and the other with total space Cq[S^(2n-1)]. We go on to give Cq[CP^n] the structure of a quantum framed manifold. More specifically, we describe the module of one-forms…
In this paper, we first introduce a quantum $n$-space with a cocommutative Hopf algebra structure. Then it is shown that to this quantum $n$-space there corresponds a derivation algebra of $σ$-twisted derivations related to some algebra automorphisms $σ$ on the quantum $n$-space. Furthermore, we show that this derivation algebra is a noncommutative and non-cocommutative Hopf algebra, namely, a quantum group. Morever, for this the quantum $n$-space, we show how to construct a bicovariant differential calculus related to the derivation algebra.
We review the construction of the multiparametric inhomogeneous orthogonal quantum group ISO_qr(N) as a projection from SO_qr(N+2), and recall the conjugation that for N=4 leads to the quantum Poincare group. We study the properties of the universal enveloping algebra U_qr(iso(N)), and give an R-matrix formulation. A quantum Lie algebra and a bicovariant differential calculus on twisted ISO(N) are found.
Let (G,d) be a first order differential *-calculus on a *-algebra A. We say that a pair (π,F) of a *-representation πof A on a dense domain D of a Hilbert space and a symmetric operator F on D gives a commutator representation of G if there exists a linear mapping t:G -> L(D) such that t(adb)=π(a)i[F,π(b)], a,b in A. Among others, it is shown that each left-covariant *-calculus G of a compact quantum group Hopf *-algebra A has a faithful commutator representation. For a class of bicovariant *-calculi on A there is a commutator representation such that F is the image of a central element of the…
Let Γbe one of the N^2-dimensional bicovariant first order differential calculi on the orthogonal or symplectic quantum group O_q(N) or Sp_q(N). The parameter q is not a root of unity. We show that the second antisymmetrizer exterior algebra is the quotient of the universal exterior algebra U by the principal ideal generated by w^2. Here w denotes the unique up to scalars bi-invariant 1-form. Moreover w^2 is central in U and U is an inner differential calculus.
