In this paper, we construct various examples of holomorphic laminations, with leaves of dimension 1, and we also study some of their dynamical properties. In particular we study existence and uniqueness of positive closed currents. We construct minimal laminations with infinitely many mutually singular closed currents and no non-closed harmonic current. We also consider embeddings to projective space.
We study partially hyperbolic sets of C1-diffeomorphisms. For these sets there are defined the strong stable and strong unstable laminations. A lamination is called dynamically minimal when the orbit of each leaf intersects the set densely. We prove that partially hyperbolic sets having a dynamically minimal lamination have empty interior. We also study the Lebesgue measure and the spectral decomposition of these sets. These results can be ap- plied to C1-generic/robustly transitive attractors with one-dimensional center bundle.
We consider a minimal compact lamination by hyperbolic surfaces. We prove that if it admits a leaf whose holonomy covering is not topologically trivial, then the horocycle flow on its unitary tangent bundle is minimal.

We consider the class of partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms $f:M\to M$ obtained as the discretization of topological Anosov flows. We show uniqueness of minimal unstable lamination for these systems provided that the underlying Anosov flow is transitive and not orbit equivalent to a suspension. As a consequence, uniqueness of quasi-attractors is obtained. If the underlying Anosov flow is not transitive we get an analogous finiteness result provided that the restriction of the flow to any of its attracting basic pieces is not a suspension. A similar uniqueness result is also obtained for cert…
We give the topological obstructions to be a leaf in a minimal lamination by hyperbolic surfaces whose generic leaf is homeomorphic to a Cantor tree. Then, we show that all allowed topological types can be simultaneously embedded in the same lamination. This result, together with results of Alvarez-Brum-Martínez-Potrie and Blanc, complete the panorama of understanding which topological surfaces can be leaves in minimal hyperbolic surface laminations when the topology of the generic leaf is given. In all cases, all possible topologies can be realized simultaneously.
Horocycle flows for laminations by hyperbolic Riemann surfaces and Hedlund's theorem
We construct minimal laminations by hyperbolic surfaces whose generic leaf is a disk and contain any prescribed family of surfaces and with a precise control of the topologies of the surfaces that appear. The laminations are constructed via towers of finite coverings of surfaces for which we need to develop a relative version of residual finiteness which may be of independent interest. The main step in establishing this relative version of residual finiteness is to obtain finite covers with control on the \emph{second systole} of the surface, which is done in the appendix. In a companion paper…
We construct Weil-Petersson (WP) geodesic rays with minimal filling non-uniquely ergodic ending lamination which are recurrent to a compact subset of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces. This construction shows that an analogue of the Masur's criterion for Teichmüller geodesics does not hold for WP geodesics.
We construct an uncountable family of transversely Cantor laminations of compact spaces defined by free minimal actions of solvable groups, which are not affable and whose orbits are not quasi-isometric to Cayley graphs.
In this paper we present a combinatorial machinery, consisting of a graph tower $\overleftarrow Γ$ and vector towers $\overleftarrow v$ on $\overleftarrow Γ$, which allows us to efficiently describe all invariant measures $μ= μ^{\overleftarrow v}$ on any given shift space over a finite alphabet. The new technology admits a number of direct applications, in particular concerning invariant measures on non-primitive substitution subshifts, minimal subshifts with many ergodic measures, or an efficient calculation of the measure of a given cylinder. It also applies to currents on a free group $F_N$…
The construction of affine interval exchange maps with wandering intervals that are semi-conjugate with a given self-similar interval exchange map is strongly related with the existence of the so called minimal sequences associated with local potentials, which are certain elements of the substitution subshift arising from the given interval exchange map. In this article, under the condition called unique representation property, we characterize such minimal sequences for potentials coming from non-real eigenvalues of the substitution matrix. We also give conditions on the slopes of the affine …

For every one-sided shift space $X$ over a finite alphabet, left special elements are those points in $X$ having at least two preimages under the shift operation. In this paper, we show that the Cuntz-Pimsner $C^*$-algebra $\mathcal{O}_X$ has nuclear dimension 1 when $X$ is minimal and the number of left special elements in $X$ is finite. This is done by describing thoroughly the cover of $X$ which also recovers an exact sequence, discovered before by T. Carlsen and S. Eilers.
We study the spectral properties of ergodic Schrödinger operators that are associated to a certain family of non-primitive substitutions on a binary alphabet. The corresponding subshifts provide examples of dynamical systems that go beyond minimality, unique ergodicity and linear complexity. In some parameter region, we are naturally in the setting of an infinite ergodic measure. The almost sure spectrum is singular and contains an interval. Some criteria for the exclusion of eigenvalues are fully characterized, including the existence of strongly palindromic sequences. Many of our structural …
