We introduce higher order polynomial deformations of $A_1$ Lie algebra. We construct their unitary representations and the corresponding single-variable differential operator realizations. We then use the results to obtain exact (Bethe ansatz) solutions to a class of 2-mode boson systems, including the Boson-Einstein Condensate models as special cases. Up to an overall factor, the eigenfunctions of the 2-mode boson systems are given by polynomials whose roots are solutions of the associated Bethe ansatz equations. The corresponding eigenvalues are expressed in terms of these roots. We also establish the spectral equivalence between the BEC models and certain quasi-exactly solvable Schördinger potentials.
For the one-parameter Alexander (Jones) skein relation we introduce the Alexander (Jones) "bosonic" q-numbers, and for the two-parameter HOMFLY skein relation we propose the HOMFLY "bosonic" (q,p)-numbers ("bosonic" numbers connected with deformed bosonic oscillators). With the help of these deformed "bosonic" numbers, the corresponding skein relations can be reproduced. Analyzing the introduced "bosonic" numbers, we point out two ways of obtaining the two-parameter HOMFLY skein relation ("bosonic" (q,p)-numbers) from the one-parameter Alexander and Jones skein relations (from the correspondin…
We connect twisted vertex operator presentation of Hall-Littlewood polynomials with the action of charged free fermions, describe a boson-fermion correspondence that relates twisted vertex operators with classical Heisenberg algebra. We also show that the elements of the orthogonal to Schur functions basis of the one-parameter deformation of the ring of symmetric functions $Λ[t]$ are $τ$-functions of KP hierarchy.
The "boson polynomials" of Gel'fand basis and the analytic expression of Wigner's coefficients with multiplicity for the canonical basis of unitary groups
The ${\mathcal D}$-pseudo-boson formalism is illustrated with two examples. The first one involves deformed complex Hermite polynomials built using finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the group ${\rm GL}(2,{\mathbb C})$ of invertible $2 \times 2$ matrices with complex entries. It reveals interesting aspects of these representations. The second example is based on a pseudo-bosonic generalization of operator-valued functions of a complex variable which resolves the identity. We show that such a generalization allows one to obtain a quantum pseudo-bosonic version of the complex plan…

A $γ$-deformed version of $su(2)$ algebra with non-hermitian generators has been obtained from a bi-orthogonal system of vectors in $\bf{C^2}$. The related Jordan-Schwinger(J-S) map is combined with boson algebras to obtain a hierarchy of fusion polynomial algebras. This makes possible the construction of Higgs algebra of cubic polynomial type. Finally the notion of partial $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry has been introduced as characteristic feature of some operators as well as their eigenfunctions. The possibility of partial $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetry breaking is also discussed. The deformation paramet…
Gaussian boson sampling (GBS) is a near-term quantum computation framework that is believed to be classically intractable, but yet rich of potential applications. In this paper we study the intimate relation between distributions defined over classes of samples from a GBS device with graph matching polynomials. For this purpose, we introduce a new graph polynomial called the displaced GBS polynomial, whose coefficients are the coarse-grained photon-number probabilities of an arbitrary undirected graph $G$ encoded in a GBS device. We report a discovery of a duality between the displaced GBS pol…
We point out a misleading treatment in the recent literature regarding confining solutions for a scalar potential in the context of the Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau theory. We further present the proper bound-state solutions in terms of the generalized Laguerre polynomials and show that the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions depend on the solutions of algebraic equations involving the potential parameter and the quantum number.
We study Hall-Littlewood polynomials using an integrable lattice model of $t$-deformed bosons. Working with row-to-row transfer matrices, we review the construction of Hall-Littlewood polynomials (of the $A_n$ root system) within the framework of this model. Introducing appropriate double-row transfer matrices, we extend this formalism to Hall-Littlewood polynomials based on the $BC_n$ root system, and obtain a new combinatorial formula for them. We then apply our methods to prove a series of refined Cauchy and Littlewood identities involving Hall-Littlewood polynomials. The last two of these …

We study non-Hermitian integrable fermion and boson systems from the perspectives of Grothendieck polynomials. The models considered in this article are the five-vertex model as a fermion system and the non-Hermitian phase model as a boson system. Both of the models are characterized by the different solutions satisfying the same Yang-Baxter relation. From our previous works on the identification between the wavefunctions of the five-vertex model and Grothendieck polynomials, we introduce skew Grothendieck polynomials, and derive the addition theorem among them. Using these relations, we deriv…
In a previous paper we constructed all polynomial tau-functions of the 1-component KP hierarchy, namely, we showed that any such tau-function is obtained from a Schur polynomial $s_λ(t)$ by certain shifts of arguments. In the present paper we give a simpler proof of this result, using the (1-component) boson-fermion correspondence. Moreover, we show that this approach can be applied to the s-component KP hierarchy, using the s-component boson-fermion correspondence, finding thereby all its polynomial tau-functions. We also find all polynomial tau-functions for the reduction of the s-component …
We study bosons in a one-dimensional hard-wall box potential. In the case of contact interaction, the system is exactly solvable by the Bethe ansatz, as first shown by Gaudin in 1971. Although contained in the exact solution, the boundary energy in the thermodynamic limit for this problem is only approximately calculated by Gaudin, who found the leading order result at weak repulsion. Here we derive an exact integral equation that enables one to calculate the boundary energy in the thermodynamic limit at an arbitrary interaction. We then solve such an equation and find the asymptotic results f…
The operator that intertwines between the $\mathbb{Z}_2$ - Dunkl operator and the derivative is shown to have a realization in terms of the oscillator operators in one dimension. This observation rests on the fact that the Dunkl intertwining operator maps the Hermite polynomials on the generalized Hermite polynomials.
