We have performed magnetization and $^{31}$P-NMR measurements on the itinerant ferromagnet LaCoPO (Curie temperature $T_{\rm Curie}\sim 44$ K) with a layered structure in order to investigate spin dynamics in the paramagnetic state. The linear scaling between the Knight shift $K$ at the P site and the bulk susceptibility $χ$ above $T_{\rm Curie}$ indicates that the P nucleus is suitable for investigating magnetic properties. The temperature and magnetic field dependences of the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate divided by the temperature $1/T_1T$ at the P site show characteristic features of itinerant ferromagnets, such as ZrZn$_2$ and Y(Co$_{1-x}$Al$_x$)$_2$. In addition, the relationship between $1/T_1T$ and $χ$ above $T_{\rm Curie}$ suggests that ferromagnetic fluctuations possess a two-dimensional (2D) characteristic. The present data show that LaCoPO is a unique ferromagnet, where the 2D fluctuations anticipated from the crystal structure are predominant down to almost $T_{\rm Curie}$.
139La NMR study was performed in grain aligned (c|| H0) sample of LaCoPO and polycrystalline LaFePO. Knight shift is isotropic and temperature independent in LaFePO. It is strongly temperature dependent and anisotropic in LaCoPO. The spin-lattice relaxation rate in LaCoPO clearly reveals the existence of 3D spin fluctuations both in the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic state over and above the dominant 2D spin fluctuations in the paramagnetic state, observed earlier from 31P NMR measurements in the same oriented sample. The spin fluctuation parameters in LaCoPO determined from 139La NMR relaxati…
dc magnetization and 31^P spin lattice relaxation rate in the polycrystalline sample of LaCoPO suggest a spin fluctuation dominated ferromagnetically ordered state. Moreover, NMR data clearly indicate a crossover from 2D to 3D spin fluctuations across T_C. In contrast to isotropic hyperfine field, H_hf at the 31^P site in LaFePO, H_hf is anisotropic in LaCoPO. The data of spin lattice relaxation rate also exhibit anisotropic spin fluctuation. The anisotropy vanishes near T_C.
We report results of 75As nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments on a self-flux grown single crystal of BaFe2As2. A first-order antiferromagnetic (AF) transition near 135 K was detected by the splitting of NMR lines, which is accompanied by simultaneous structural transition as evidenced by a sudden large change of the electric field gradient tensor at the As site. The NMR results lead almost uniquely to the stripe spin structure in the AF phase. The data of spin-lattice relaxation rate indicate development of anisotropic spin fluctuations of the stripe-type with decreasing temperature i…
The microscopic magnetism in the helical, the conical and the ferro-magnetically polarized phases in an itinerant helical magnet, MnSi, has been studied by an extended 29Si NMR at zero field and under external magnetic fields. The temperature dependence of staggered moment, M_Q(T), determined by the 29Si NMR frequency, nu(T), and nuclear relaxation rate, 1/T_1(T) is in general accord with the SCR theory for weak itinerant ferromagnetic metals and its extension. The external field dependence of resonance frequency, nu(H), follows a vector sum of the contributions from atomic hyperfine and macro…
LaCrGe$_3$ is an itinerant ferromagnet with a Curie temperature of $T_{\rm c}$ = 85 K and exhibits an avoided ferromagnetic quantum critical point under pressure through a modulated antiferromagnetic phase as well as tri-critical wing structure in its temperature-pressure-magnetic field ($T$-$p$-$H$) phase diagram. In order to understand the static and dynamical magnetic properties of LaCrGe$_3$, we carried out $^{139}$La nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements. Based on the analysis of NMR data, using the self-consistent-renomalization (SCR) theory, the spin fluctuations in the paramagn…
$^{139}$La nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements under pressure ($p = 0-2.64$ GPa) have been carried out to investigate the static and dynamic magnetic properties of the itinerant ferromagnet LaCrGe$_3$. $^{139}$La-NMR spectra for all measured pressures in the ferromagnetically ordered state show a large shift due to the internal field induction $|$$B_{\rm int}$$|$ $\sim$ 4 T at the La site produced by Cr ordered moments. The change in $B_{\rm int}$ by less than 5\% with $p$ up to 2.64~GPa indicates that the Cr 3$d$ moments are robust under pressure. The temperature dependence of NMR s…
We have investigated the spin dynamics in the bilayered perovskite Sr3Ru2O7 as a function of magnetic field and temperature using 17O-NMR. This system sits close to a metamagnetic quantum critical point (MMQCP) for the field perpendicular to the ruthenium oxide planes. We confirm Fermi-liquid behavior at low temperatures except for a narrow field region close to the MMQCP. The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate divided by temperature 1/T1T is enhanced on approaching the metamagnetic critical field of 7.9 T and at the critical field 1/T1T continues to increase and does not show Fermi- liquid …
75As and 31P NMR studies are performed in PrCoAsO and NdCoPO respectively. The Knight shift data in PrCoAsO indicate the presence of an antiferromagnetic interaction between the 4f moments along the c axis in the ferromagnetic state of Co 3d moments. We propose a possible spin structure in this system. The 75As quadrupolar coupling constant, $ν_Q$ increases continuously with the decrease of temperature and is found to vary linearly with the intrinsic spin susceptibility, Kiso. This indicates a possibility of the presence of a coupling between charge density and spin density fluctuations. Furth…
$^{59}$Co and $^{31}$P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements in external magnetic and zero magnetic fields have been performed to investigate the magnetic properties of the A-type antiferromagnetic (AFM) CaCo$_2$P$_2$. NMR data, especially, the nuclear spin lattice relaxation rates 1/$T_1$ exhibiting a clear peak, provide clear evidence for the AFM transition at a Néel temperature of $T_{\rm N}\sim$110~K. The magnetic fluctuations in the paramagnetic state were found to be three-dimensional ferromagnetic, suggesting ferromagnetic interaction between Co spins in the ${\it ab}$ plane cha…
The CoO$_{2}$ layers in sodium-cobaltates Na$_{x}$CoO$_{2}$ may be viewed as a spin $S=1/2$ triangular-lattice doped with charge carriers. The underlying physics of the cobaltates is very similar to that of the high $T_{c}$ cuprates. We will present unequivocal $^{59}$Co NMR evidence that below $T_{CO}\sim51 K$, the insulating ground state of the itinerant antiferromagnet Na$_{0.5}$CoO$_{2}$ ($T_{N}\sim 86 K$) is induced by charge ordering.
We have carried out the $^{11}$B NMR measurement on the itinerant paramagnetic systems U$M_{3}$B$_{2}$ ($M =$ Co, Ir) to investigate the low-dimensional characteristics of the $5f$-electrons due to the structural anisotropy. The recent X-ray analysis suggests that UIr$_3$B$_2$ has a different structure modulated from the ever-known superlattice. The azimuth angle variation of NMR spectrum within the $ab$-plane clarified that B atoms occupy the single site, and a certain ligands arrangement surrounding B atom turns to the same orientation as the another one through the three- or six-fold rotati…
The physical properties of itinerant antiferromagnetic (AFM) SrCr$_2$As$_2$ with body-centered tetragonal ThCr$_2$Si$_2$ structure were investigated in single crystalline and polycrystalline forms by electrical resistivity $ρ$, heat capacity $C_{\rm p}$, magnetic susceptibility $χ$ versus temperature~$T$ and magnetization $M$ versus applied magnetic field $H$ isotherm measurements as well as $^{75}$As and $^{53}$Cr nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements in the wide temperature range $T$ = 1.6--900 K. From the $χ(T)$ and $^{75}$As NMR measurements, the G-type AFM state below $T_{\rm N}$ …
We report nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies of the intercalated iron selenide superconductor (Tl, Rb)$_{y}$Fe$_{2-x}$Se$_2$ ($T_c = 32$ K). Single-crystal measurements up to 480 K on both $^{77}$Se and $^{87}$Rb nuclei show a superconducting phase with no magnetic order. The Knight shifts $K$ and relaxation rates $1/T_1T$ increase very strongly with temperature above $T_c$, before flattening at 400 K. The quadratic $T$-dependence and perfect proportionality of both $K$ and $1/T_1T$ data demonstrate their origin in paramagnetic moments. A minimal model for this pseudogap-like response is…
The NMR results in iron pnictides BaFe2(As1-xPx)2 and Ba(Fe1-xCox)2As2 are analyzed based on the self-consistent renormalization (SCR) spin fluctuation theory. The temperature dependence of the NMR relaxation rate (T_1)^{-1} as well as the electrical resistivity is well reproduced by a SCR model where two-dimensional antiferromagnetic (AF) spin fluctuations are dominant. The successful description of the crossover feature from non-Fermi liquid to Fermi liquid behavior strongly suggests that low-lying spin fluctuations in BaFe2(As1-xPx)2 and Ba(Fe1-xCox)2As2 possess an itinerant AF nature, and …
Normal state spin dynamics of the recently discovered iron-pnictide superconductors is discussed by calculating spin structure factor S(q, omega) in an itinerant five-band model within RPA approximation. Due to the characteristic Fermi surface structure of iron-pnictide, column like response is found at (pi, 0) in extended Brillouin zone in the undoped case, which is consistent with the recent neutron scattering experiment. This indicates that the localized spin model is not necessary to explain the spin dynamics of this system. Furthermore, we show that the temperature dependence of inelastic…
$^{73}$Ge and $^{59}$Co nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) measurements have been performed on a $^{73}$Ge-enriched single-crystalline sample of the ferromagnetic superconductor UCoGe in the paramagnetic state. The $^{73}$Ge NQR parameters deduced from NQR and NMR are close to those of another isostructural ferromagnetic superconductor URhGe. The Knight shifts of the Ge and Co sites are well scaled to each other when the magnetic field is parallel to the $b$ or $c$ axis. The hyperfine coupling constants of Ge are estimated to be close to those of Co. The la…
An attractive proposal for the hidden order (HO) in the heavy electron compound URu2Si2 is an itinerant multipole order of high rank. It is due to the pairing of electrons and holes centered on zone center and boundary, respectively in states that have maximally different total angular momentum components. Due to the pairing with commensurate zone boundary ordering vector the translational symmetry is broken and a HO quasiparticle gap opens below the transition temperature T_HO. Inelastic neutron scattering (INS) has demonstrated that for T<T_HO the collective magnetic response is dominated by…
$^{75}$As and $^{139}$La field-swept NMR spectra were obtained for the novel weakly itinerant ferromagnet LaCoAsO with 2D layered structure above the Curie temperature of 55 K. By analyzing NMR spectra, temperature dependences of Knight shift $K$ and nuclear quadrupole resonance frequency $ν_Q$ were obtained successfully for each nucleus. We confirmed from the so-called $K$-$χ$ plots that the macroscopic magnetization of our {LaCoAsO} powder sample is intrinsic and does not contain the contribution from impurity phases. We estimated hyperfine coupling constants from the slope of $K$-$χ$ plots …
The issue of the spin gap in the magnetic susceptibility $χ''(q,ω)$ in high T_c superconductors is discussed within a scenario of a mixture of localized tightly bound electron pairs in singlet states (bi-polarons) and itinerant electrons. Due to a local exchange between the two species of charge carriers, antiferromagnetic correlations are induced amongst the itinerant electrons in the vicinity of the sites containing the bound electron pairs. As the temperature is lowered these exchange processes become spatially correlated leading to a spin wave-like spectrum in the subsystem of the itineran…
The magnetic phase diagram $T_c(P)$ of the weak itinerant helimagnetic compound MnSi is reviewed upon a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) experiment. We present a systematic study on the evolution of the NMR spin echo signal at $T=1.4$ K of the non-magnetic silicone sites, $^{29}$Si, up to 17.8 kbar. The pressure effect is interpreted as a weak variation of the local electronic spin polarization and the coexistence of magnetic and non magnetic Mn atoms under pressure. From the volume dependence of $f_0$ ($P$), we show notably that a local magnetic order remains above the critical pressure of $P…
The pressure induced quantum phase transition of the weakly itinerant ferromagnet MnSi is studied using zero-field $^{29}Si$ NMR spectroscopy and relaxation. Below $P^*\approx 1.2GPa$, the intensity of the signal and the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation is independent of pressure, even though the amplitude of the magnetization drops by 20% from the ambient pressure amplitude. For $P>P^*$, the decreasing intensity within the experimentally detectable bandwidth signals the onset of an inhomogeneous phase that persists to the highest pressure measured, $P\ge 1.75GPa$, which is well beyond the know…
We report detailed Knight shift measurements of the two indium sites in the heavy fermion compound CeIrIn$_5$ as a function of temperature and field orientation. We find that the Knight shift anomaly is orientation-dependent, with a crossover temperature $T^*$ that varies by 50% as the field is rotated from (001) to (100). This result suggests that the hybridization between the Ce 4f states and the itinerant conduction electrons is anisotropic, a result that reflects its collective origin, and may lead to anisotropic Kondo liquid behavior and unconventional superconductivity.
We performed nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) measurements on itinerant-electron metamagnet UCoAl in order to investigate the critical behavior of the magnetism near a metamagnetic (MM) critical endpoint (CEP). We derived c-axis magnetization $M_c$ and its fluctuation $S_c$ from the measurements of Knight shift and nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate $1/T_1$ as a function of the c-axis external field ($H_c$) and temperature ($T$). We developed contour plots of $M_c$ and $S_c$ on the $H_c$ - $T$ phase diagram, and observed the strong divergence of $S_c$ at the CEP. The critical exponents of $M…
We present the results of $^{75}$As nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR), and resistivity measurements in KFe$_2$As$_2$ under pressure ($p$). The temperature dependence of the NMR shift, nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time ($T_1$) and resistivity show a crossover between a high-temperature incoherent, local-moment behavior and a low-temperature coherent behavior at a crossover temperature ($T^*$). $T^*$ is found to increase monotonically with pressure, consistent with increasing hybridization between localized $3d$ orbital-derived bands with the itinerant elect…
Co nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) studies were performed in the recently discovered UCoGe, in which the ferromagnetic and superconducting (SC) transitions were reported to occur at $T_{\rm Curie} \sim 3$ K and $T_S \sim 0.8$ K (N. T. Huy {\it et al.}, Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 99} (2007) 067006), in order to investigate the coexistence of ferromagnetism and superconductivity as well as the normal-state and SC properties from a microscopic point of view. From the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate $1/T_1$ and Knight-shift measurements, we confirmed that fe…
A central question in a large class of strongly correlated electron systems, including heavy fermion compounds and iron pnictides, is the identification of different phases and their origins. It has been shown that the antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase in some heavy fermion compounds is induced by Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interaction between localized moments, and that the competition between this interaction and Kondo effect is responsible for quantum criticality. However, conclusive experimental evidence of the RKKY interaction in pnictides is lacking. Here, using high resolution $^{…
Here, by conducting a systematic $^{89}$Y NMR study, we explore the nature of the magnetic ground state in a newly discovered iron-based superconductor YFe$_2$Ge$_2$. An incoherent-to-coherent crossover due to the Hund's coupling induced electronic correlation is revealed below the crossover temperature $T^*\sim 75\pm15\,\mathrm{K}$. During the electronic crossover, both the Knight shift ($K$) and the bulk magnetic susceptibility ($χ$) exhibit a similar nonmonotonic temperature dependence, and a so-called Knight shift anomaly is also revealed by a careful $K$-$χ$ analysis. Such an electronic c…
We report experimental results of ^{75}As and ^{139}La nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in the iron-based layered La(O_{1-x}F_{x})FeAs (x= 0.0, 0.04 and 0.11) system. In the undoped LaOFeAs, 1/T_1 of ^{139}La exhibits a distinct peak at T_N ~ 142 K below which the spectra become broadened due to the internal magnetic field attributed to an antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering. In the 4% F-doped sample, 1/T_1T exhibits a Curie-Weiss temperature dependence down to 30 K, suggesting the development of AFM spin fluctuations with decreasing temperature. In the 11% F-doped sample, in contrast, pseudogap …
LiVO$_2$ is a model system of the valence bond solid (VBS) in $3d^2$ triangular lattice. The origin of the VBS formation has remained controversial. We investigate the microscopic mechanism by elucidating the $d$ orbital character via on-site $^{51}$V NMR measurements in a single crystal up to 550 K across a structural transition temperature $T_c$. The Knight shift, $K$, and nuclear quadrupole frequency, $δν$, show that the 3d orbital with local trigonal symmetry are reconstructed into a $d_{yz}d_{zx}$ orbital order below $T_c$. Together with the NMR spectra with three-fold rotational symmetry…
$^{235}$U nuclear spin-lattice ($T_1^{-1}$) and spin-spin ($T_2^{-1}$) relaxation rates in the itinerant antiferromagnet USb$_2$ are reported as a function of temperature in zero field. The heating effect from the intense rf pulses that are necessary for the $^{235}$U NMR results in unusual complex thermal recovery of the nuclear magnetization which does not allow measuring $T_1^{-1}$ directly. By implementing an indirect method, however, we successfully extracted $T_1^{-1}$ of the $^{235}$U. We find that the temperature dependence of $T_1^{-1}$ for both $^{235}$U and $^{121}$Sb follows the po…
The signature for a non-Fermi liquid behavior near a quantum phase transition has been observed in thermal and transport properties of many metallic systems at low temperatures. In the present work we consider specific examples of itinerant ferromagnet as well as antiferromagnet in the limit of vanishing transition temperature. The temperature variation of spin susceptibility, electrical resistivity, specific heat, and NMR relaxation rates at low temperatures is calculated in the limit of infinite exchange enhancement within the frame work of a self consistent spin fluctuation theory. The resu…
55Mn nuclear magnetic resonance and magnetization studies of the series of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 thin films have been performed at low temperature. Two distinct lines were observed, at 322 MHz and 380 MHz, corresponding to two different phases, the former located at the interface, with localized charges, and the latter corresponding to the film bulk, with itinerant carriers (as it was also found in Ca manganite films). The spin-echo amplitude was measured as a function of a dc magnetic field applied either in the film plane or perpendicular to it. The field dependence of both the main NMR signal in…
The sodium cobaltate family (NaxCoO2) is unique among transition metal oxides because the Co sits on a triangular lattice and its valence can be tuned over a wide range by varying the Na concentration x. Up to now detailed modeling of the rich phenomenology (which ranges from unconventional superconductivity to enhanced thermopower) has been hampered by the difficulty of controlling pure phases. We discovered that certain Na concentrations are specially stable and are associated with superlattice ordering of the Na clusters. This leads naturally to a picture of co-existence of localized spins …
We report a site-separated $^{17}$O-NMR study of the layered perovskite ruthenate Sr$_3$Ru$_2$O$_7$, which exhibits nearly two-dimensional transport properties and itinerant metamagnetism at low temperatures. The local hole occupancies and the spin densities in the oxygen $2p$ orbitals are obtained by means of tight-binding analyses of electric field gradients and anisotropic Knight shifts. These quantities are compared with two other layered perovskite ruthenates: the two-dimensional paramagnet Sr$_2$RuO$_4$ and the three-dimensional ferromagnet SrRuO$_3$. The hole occupancies at the oxygen s…
Quantum phase transitions (QPTs) have been studied extensively in correlated electron systems. Characterization of magnetism at QPTs has, however, been limited by the volume-integrated feature of neutron and magnetization measurements and by pressure uncertainties in NMR studies using powderized specimens. Overcoming these limitations, we performed muon spin relaxation ($μ$SR) measurements which have a unique sensitivity to volume fractions of magnetically ordered and paramagnetic regions, and studied QPTs from itinerant heli/ferro magnet to paramagnet in MnSi (single-crystal; varying pressure…
31^P NMR spectral features in polycrystalline SmCoPO reveal an axially symmetric local magnetic field. At low temperature, the anisotropy of the internal magnetic field increases rapidly, with K_ab increasing faster than that of K_c. The dominant contribution to this anisotropy arises from Sm-4f electron contribution over that of Co-3d. The intrinsic width 2*(Beta) deviates from linearity with respect to bulk susceptibility below 170 K due to the enhancement of (1/T_2)dynamic, which along with the continuous increase of anisotropy in the internal magnetic field is responsible for the wipe out …
Specific heats measurements and Ru-NMR studies have been carried out for Bi3Ru3O11 and La4Ru6O19, which commonly have three-dimensional linkages of edge-sharing pairs of RuO6 octahedra. The Knight shifts, the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rates 1/T1 and the electronic specific heats Cel of these systems exhibit anomalous temperature (T) dependence at low temperatures, as was pointed out by Khalifah et al. [Nature 411 (2001) 660.] for the latter system based on their experimental data of the resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and electronic specific heat. Ratios of 1/T1T to the square of th…
We investigate the impact of two types of disorder, bond randomness and site dilution, on the spin dynamics in the Kitaev model on a honeycomb lattice. The ground state of this model is a canonical quantum spin liquid with spin fractionalization into two types of quasiparticles, itinerant Majorana fermions and localized fluxes. Using unbiased quantum Monte Carlo simulations, we calculate the temperature evolution of the dynamical spin structure factor, the magnetic susceptibility, and the NMR relaxation rate. In the dynamical spin structure factor, we find that the two types of disorder affect…
We report the observation of magnetic superstructure in a magnetization plateau state of SrCu2(BO3)2, a frustrated quasi-two-dimensional quantum spin system. The Cu and B nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra at 35 mllikelvin indicate an apparently discontinuous phase transition from uniform magnetization to a modulated superstructure near 27 tesla, above which a magnetization plateau at 1/8 of the full saturation has been observed. Comparison of the Cu NMR spectrum and the theoretical analysis of a Heisenberg spin model demonstrates the crystallization of itinerant triplets in the plateau …
Although Fe-based superconductors are multiorbital correlated electronic systems, previous nuclei magnetic resonance (NMR) measurement suggests that a single spin-fluid model is sufficient to describe its spin behavior. Here, we firstly observed the breakdown of single spin-fluid model in a heavily hole-doped Fe-based superconductor CsFe2As2 by site-selective NMR measurement. At high temperature regime, both of Knight shift and nuclei spin-lattice relaxation at 133Cs and 75As nuclei exhibit distinct temperature-dependent behavior, suggesting the breakdown of single spin-fluid model in CsFe2As2…
The pronounced enhancement of the effective mass is the primary phenomenon associated with strongly correlated electrons. In the presence of local moments, the large effective mass is thought to arise from Kondo coupling, the interaction between itinerant and localised electrons. However, in d electron systems, the origin is not clear because of the competing Hund's rule coupling. Here we experimentally address the microscopic origin for the heaviest d fermion in a vanadium spinel LiV2O4 having geometrical frustration. Utilising orbital-selective 51V NMR, we elucidate the orbital-dependent loc…
In tetragonal SrCo2As2 single crystals, inelastic neutron scattering measurements demonstrated that strong stripe-type antiferromagnetic (AFM) correlations occur at a temperature T = 5 K [W. Jayasekara et al., arXiv:1306.5174] that are the same as in the isostructural AFe2As2 (A = Ca, Sr, Ba) parent compounds of high-Tc superconductors. This surprising discovery suggests that SrCo2As2 may also be a good parent compound for high-Tc superconductivity. Here, structural and thermal expansion, electrical resistivity rho, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), heat capacity Cp, magnetic …
The transition--metal oxide CaCu$_3$Ru$_4$O$_{12}$ with perovskite--type structure shows characteristic properties of an intermediate--valence system. The temperature--dependent susceptibility exhibits a broad maximum around $150 - 160$ K. At this temperature, neutron powder diffraction reveals a small but significant volume change whereby the crystal structure is preserved. Moreover, the temperature--dependent resistivity changes its slope. NMR Knight shift measurements of Ru reveal a cross--over from high temperature paramagnetic behavior of localized moments to itinerant band states at low …
A prominent feature of quantum spin liquids is fractionalization of the spin degree of freedom. Fractionalized excitations have their own dynamics in different energy scales, and hence, affect finite-temperature ($T$) properties in a peculiar manner even in the paramagnetic state harboring the quantum spin liquid state. We here present a comprehensive theoretical study of the spin dynamics in a wide $T$ range for the Kitaev model on a honeycomb lattice, whose ground state is such a quantum spin liquid. In this model, the fractionalization occurs to break up quantum spins into itinerant matter …
