Let $U_F$ be the Floquet operator of a time periodic hamiltonian $H(t)$.
For each positive and discrete observable $A$ (which we call a {\em probe energy}), we derive a formula for the Laplace time average of its expectation value up to time $T$ in terms of its eigenvalues and Green functions at the circle of radius $e^{1/T}$. Some simple applications are provided which support its usefulness.
In this paper, we establish quantitative Green's function estimates for some higher dimensional lattice quasi-periodic (QP) Schrödinger operators. The resonances in the estimates can be described via a pair of symmetric zeros of certain functions and the estimates apply to the sub-exponential type non-resonant conditions. As the application of quantitative Green's function estimates, we prove both the arithmetic version of Anderson localization and the $(\frac 12-)$-Hölder continuity of the integrated density of states (IDS) for such QP Schrödinger operators. This gives an affirmative answer t…
The main results of this article provide asymptotics at infinity of the Green's functions near and at the spectral gap edges for "generic" periodic second-order elliptic operators on noncompact Riemannian co-compact coverings with abelian deck groups. Previously, analogous results have been known for the case of $\mathbb{R}^n$ only. One of the interesting features discovered is that the rank of the deck group plays more important role than the dimension of the manifold.
Precise asymptotics known for the Green function of the Laplacian have found their analogs for bounded below periodic elliptic operators of the second-order below and at the bottom of the spectrum. Due to the band-gap structure of the spectra of such operators, the question arises whether similar results can be obtained near or at the edges of spectral gaps. In a previous work, two of the authors considered the case of a spectral edge. The main result of this article is finding such asymptotics near a gap edge, for "generic" periodic elliptic operators of second-order with real coefficients in…
We introduce the projected Green's function technique to study quasi-periodic systems such as the Andre-Aubry-Harper (AAH) model and beyond. In particular, we use projected Green's functions to construct a "rational approximate" sequence of transfer matrix equations consistent with quasi-periodic topology, where convergence of these sequences corresponds to the existence of extended eigenfunctions. We motivate this framework by applying it to a few well studied cases such as the almost-Mathieu operator (AAH model), as well as more generic non-dual models that challenge standard routines. The t…

We provide quantitative inductive estimates for Green's functions of matrices with (sub)expoentially decaying off diagonal entries in higher dimensions. Together with Cartan's estimates and discrepancy estimates, we establish explicit bounds for the large deviation theorem for non-self-adjoint Toeplitz operators. As applications, we obtain the modulus of continuity of the integrated density of states with explicit bounds and the pure point spectrum property for analytic quasi-periodic operators. Moreover, our inductions are self-improved and work for perturbations with low complexity interacti…
