We study $t$-analogs of string functions for integrable highest weight representations of the affine Kac-Moody algebra $A_1^{(1)}$. We obtain closed form formulas for certain $t$-string functions of levels 2 and 4. As corollaries, we obtain explicit identities for the corresponding affine Hall-Littlewood functions, as well as higher-level generalizations of Cherednik's Macdonald and Macdonald-Mehta constant term identities.
We construct and study an explicit simultaneous $\mathscr{Y}$ eigenbasis of Ion and Wu's standard representation of the $^+$stable-limit double affine Hecke algebra for the limit Cherednik operators $\mathscr{Y}_i$. This basis arises as a generalization of Cherednik's non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials of type $GL_n$. We utilize links between $^+$stable-limit double affine Hecke algebra theory of Ion and Wu and the double Dyck path algebra of Carlsson and Mellit that arose in their proof of the Shuffle Conjecture. As a consequence, the spectral theory for the limit Cherednik operators is unde…
In this paper we give Monk rules for Macdonald polynomials which are analogous to the Monk rules for Schubert polynomials. These formulas are similar to the formulas given by Baratta (2008), but our method of derivation is to use Cherednik's interwiners. Deriving Monk rules by this technique addresses the relationship between the work of Baratta and the product formulas of Yip (2010). Specializations of the Monk formula's at $q=0$ and/or $t=0$ provide Monk rules for Iwahori-spherical polynomials and for finite and affine key polynomials.
The paper compares (and reproves) the alcove walk and the nonattacking fillings formulas for type $GL_n$ Macdonald polynomials which were given in Haglund-Haiman-Loehr arXiv:math.CO/0601693, Alexandersson arXiv:1602.05153 and Ram-Yip arXiv:0803.1146. The "compression" relating the two formulas in this paper is the same as that of Lenart arXiv:0804.4716. We have reformulated it so that it holds without conditions and so that the proofs of the alcove walk formula and the nonattacking fillings formula are parallel. This reformulation highlights the role of the double affine Hecke algebra and Cher…
Koornwinder polynomials are $q$-orthogonal polynomials equipped with extra five parameters and the $B C_n$-type Weyl group symmetry, which were introduced by Koornwinder (1992) as multivariate analogue of Askey-Wilson polynomials. They are now understood as the Macdonald polynomials associated to the affine root system of type $(C^\vee_n,C_n)$ via the Macdonald-Cherednik theory of double affine Hecke algebras. In this paper we give explicit formulas of Littlewood-Richardson coefficients for Koornwinder polynomials, i.e., the structure constants of the product as invariant polynomials. Our form…
We continue a program generalizing classical results from the analysis on symmetric cones to the Dunkl setting for root systems of type A. In particular, we prove a Dunkl-Laplace transform identity for Heckman-Opdam hypergeometric functions of type A and more generally, for the associated Cherednik kernel. This is achieved by analytic continuation from a Laplace transform identity for non-symmetric Jack polynomials which was stated, for the symmetric case, as a key conjecture in an unpublished manuscript of Macdonald (2013). Our proof for the Jack polynomials is based on Dunkl operator techniq…
This note consists of two parts. The first part (§1 and §2) is a partial review of the works by van Meer and Stokman (2010), van Meer (2011) and Stokman (2014) which established a bispectral analogue of the Cherednik correspondence between quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations and the eigenvalue problems of Macdonald type. In this review we focus on the rank one cases, i.e., on the reduced type $A_1$ and the non-reduced type $(C_1^\vee,C_1)$, to which the associated Macdonald-Koornwinder polynomials are the Rogers polynomials and the Askey-Wilson polynomials, respectively. We give de…
