We prove a moderate deviation principle for subgraph count statistics of Erdos-Renyi random graphs. This is equivalent in showing a moderate deviation principle for the trace of a power of a Bernoulli random matrix. It is done via an estimation of the log-Laplace transform and the Gaertner-Ellis theorem. We obtain upper bounds on the upper tail probabilities of the number of occurrences of small subgraphs. The method of proof is used to show supplemental moderate deviation principles for a class of symmetric statistics, including non-degenerate U-statistics with independent or Markovian entries.
In this paper, we establish moderate deviations for the chemical distance in Bernoulli percolation. The chemical distance between two points is the length of the shortest open path between these two points. Thus, we study the size of random fluctuations around the mean value, and also the asymptotic behavior of this mean value. The estimates we obtain improve our knowledge of the convergence to the asymptotic shape. Our proofs rely on concentration inequalities proved by Boucheron, Lugosi and Massart, and also on the approximation theory of subadditive functions initiated by Alexander.

This paper is devoted to the problem of sample path large deviations for multidimensional queueing models with feedback. We derive a new version of the contraction principle where the continuous map is not well-defined on the whole space: we give conditions under which it allows to identify the rate function. We illustrate our technique by deriving a large deviation principle for a class of networks that contains the classical Jackson networks.
We prove a large deviation principle and give an expression for the rate function, for the last passage time in a Bernoulli environment. The model is exactly solvable and its invariant version satisfies a Burke-type property. Finally, we compute explicit limiting logarithmic moment generating functions for both the classical and the invariant models. The shape function of this model exhibits a flat edge in certain directions, and we also discuss the rate function and limiting log-moment generating functions in those directions.
The longest stretch $L(n)$ of consecutive heads in $n$ i.i.d. coin tosses is seen from the prism of large deviations. We first establish precise asymptotics for the moment generating function of $L(n)$ and then show that there are precisely two large deviation principles, one concerning the behavior of the distribution of $L(n)$ near its nominal value $\log_{1/p} n$ and one away from it. The chemical distance D(x,y) is the length of the shortest open path between two points x and y in an infinite Bernoulli percolation cluster. In this work, we study the asymptotic behaviour of this random metric, and we prove that, for an appropriate norm $μ$ depending on the dimension and the percolation parameter, the probability of the event \[\biggl\{0\leftrightarrow x,\frac{D(0,x)}{μ(x)}\notin (1-ε, 1+ε) \biggr\}\] exponentially decreases when $\|x\|_1$ tends to infinity. From this bound we also derive a large deviation inequality for the corresponding asymptotic shape result.
We show quenched large deviations for the simple random walk on a certain class of percolations with long-range correlations. This class contains the supercritical Bernoulli percolations, the model considered by Drewitz, R'ath and Sapozhnikov and the random-cluster model up to the slab critical point. Our result is an extension of Kubota's result for the supercritical Bernoulli percolations. We also state a shape theorem for the chemical distance, which is an extension of Garet and Marchand's result for the supercritical Bernoulli percolations.

In the present paper we prove moderate deviations for a Curie-Weiss model with external magnetic field generated by a dynamical system, as introduced by Dombry and Guillotin-Plantard. The results extend those already obtained in the case of a constant external field by Eichelsbacher and Löwe. The Curie-Weiss model with dynamic external field is related to the so called dynamic Z-random walks. We also prove a moderate deviation result for the dynamic Z-random walk, completing the list of limit theorems for this object.

In this paper, we prove the moderate deviations principle (MDP) for a general system of slow-fast dynamics. We provide a unified approach, based on weak convergence ideas and stochastic control arguments, that cover both the averaging and the homogenization regimes.
