We present a detailed analysis of the NA49 experimental particle yield results, and discuss the physical properties of the particle source. We explain in depth how our analysis differs from the work of other groups, what advance this implies in terms of our understanding, and what new physics about the deconfined particle source this allows us to recognize. We answer several frequently asked questions, presenting a transcript of a discussion regarding our data analysis. We show that the final NA49 data at 40, 80, 158 AGeV lead to a remarkably constant extensive thermal chemical-freeze-out properties of the fireball. We discuss briefly the importance of thermal hadronization pressure.
Using vector and axial-vector correlators within finite energy sum rules with inputs from a chiral quark model, coupled to the Polyakov loop, with nonlocal vector interactions, we extend our previous work to confirm the equivalence between the continuum threshold $s_0$ and the trace of the Polyakov loop $Φ$ as order parameters for the deconfinement transition at finite temperature $T$ and quark chemical potential $μ$. The obtained results are in agreement with our initial conclusion, where we showed that $s_0(T,μ)$ and $Φ(T,μ)$ provide the same information for the QCD deconfinement transition.
Recent extensive data from the beam energy scan of the STAR collaboration at BNL-RHIC provide the basis for a detailed update for the universal behavior of the strangeness suppression factor gamma_s as function of the initial entropy density, as proposed in our recent paper [1]. Following the quark-hadron duality concept, we show that the number of hadrons generated in the deconfinement matter is entirely determined by the exact non-equilibrium Green's functions of partons in the medium and the vertex function governing the probability of the confinement-deconfinement phase transition. In such an approach, compactifying the standard (3+1) chromodynamics into $ QCD_{xy} + QCD_{zt}$, the rate of the hadrons produced in particle collisions is derived in the explicit form provided that the hadronization is the first order phase transition. The pion production is found to …
P-wave contribution to third-order top-quark pair production near threshold
I discuss single top quark production at the Tevatron and the LHC. The cross section, including soft-gluon threshold corrections through NNNLO, is presented for each partonic channel. The higher-order corrections provide significant contributions to the single top cross sections at both colliders.

We update our previous calculation of $J/ψ$ photo-production near threshold \cite{Hatta:2018ina} by incorporating the recent developments in theory and the new experimental data from the GlueX collaboration at Jefferson Lab \cite{Ali:2019lzf}. We then propose to study the near threshold production of $Υ$ and $J/ψ$ in ultraperipheral $pA$ collisions at RHIC. These processes are sensitive to the gluon condensate in the proton which is related to the QCD trace anomaly. Our result emphasizes the role of gluons as the origin of the proton mass.
