Given a separable unital C*-algebra A, let E denote the Banach-space completion of the A-valued Schwartz space on Rn with norm induced by the A-valued inner product $<f,g>=\int f(x)^*g(x) dx$. The assignment of the pseudodifferential operator B=b(x,D) with A-valued symbol b(x,ξ) to each smooth function with bounded derivatives b defines an injective mapping O, from the set of all such symbols to the set of all operators with smooth orbit under the canonical action of the Heisenberg group on the algebra of all adjointable operators on the Hilbert module E. It is known that O is surjective if A is commutative. In this paper, we show that, if O is surjective for A, then it is also surjective for the algebra of k-by-k matrices with entries in A.
In this paper we establish uniqueness theorems for the noncommutative residue and the canonical trace on pseudodifferential operators on noncommutative tori of arbitrary dimension. The former is the unique trace up to constant multiple on integer order pseudodifferential operators. The latter is the unique trace up to constant multiple on non-integer order pseudodifferential operators. This improves previous uniqueness results by Fathizadeh-Khalkhali, Fathizadeh-Wong, and Lévy-Neira-Paycha.
We consider the algebra $A$ of bounded operators on $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$ generated by quantizations of isometric affine canonical transformations. The algebra $A$ includes as subalgebras all noncommutative tori and toric orbifolds. We define the spectral triple $(A, H, D)$ with $H=L^2(\mathbb R^n, Λ(\mathbb R^n))$ and the Euler operator $D$, a first order differential operator of index $1$. We show that this spectral triple has simple dimension spectrum: For every operator $B$ in the algebra $Ψ(A,H,D)$ generated by the Shubin type pseudodifferential operators and the elements of $A$, the zeta f…
In a previous paper we established Cwikel-type estimates on noncommutative tori and used them to get analogues in this setting of the Cwikel-Lieb-Rozenblum (CLR) and Lieb-Thirring inequalities for negative eigenvalues of fractional Schrödinger operators. In this paper, we focus on "curved" NC tori, where the role of the usual Laplacian is played by Laplace-Beltrami operators associated with arbitrary Riemannian metrics. The Cwikel-type estimates of our previous paper are extended to pseudodifferential operators and powers of Laplace-Beltrami operators. There are several applications of these e…
