For the purpose of deriving the observed nearly tribimaximal neutrino mixing, a possible yukawaon model in the quark sector is investigated. Five observable quantities (2 up-quark mass ratios and 3 neutrino mixing parameters \sin^2 2θ_{atm}, \tan^2θ_{solar} and |U_{13}|) are excellently fitted by two parameters (one in the up-quark sector and another one in the right-handed Majorana neutrino sector).
In the so-called yukawaon model, where effective Yukawa coupling constants Y_f^{eff} (f=e,ν,u,d) are given by vacuum expectation values of gauge singlet scalars (yukawaons) Y_f with 3\times 3 flavor components, it is tried to give a unified description of quark and lepton mass matrices. Especially, without assuming any discrete symmetry in the lepton sector, nearly tribimaximal mixing is derived by assumed a simple up-quark mass matrix form.
Based on a supersymmetric Yukawaon model with O(3) family symmetry, possible forms of quark and lepton mixing matrices are systematically investigated under a condition that the up-quark mass matrix form leads to the observed nearly tribimaximal mixing in the lepton sector. Although the previous model could not provide a good fitting of the observed quark mixing, the present model can give a reasonably good fitting not for lepton mixing but also the quark mixing by using a different origin of the $CP$ violation from one in the previous model.

We survey the lepton flavor violation branching ratios Br(mu->e,gamma), Br(tau->mu,gamma), and Br(tau->e,gamma) in mSUGRA for a broad class of lepton mass matrix textures that give nearly tribimaximal lepton mixing. We propose a seesaw scenario that possible corrections to the tribimaximal pattern of lepton mixing are due to the small phase splitting of the right-handed neutrino mass matrix. we show that the small deviations can be expressed analytically in terms of two splitting parameters($δ_1$ and $δ_2$) in the leading order. The newly proposed finite symmetry Sigma(81) is applied to the problem of neutrino tribimaximal mixing. The result is more satisfactory than those of previous models based on A_4 in that the use of auxiliary symmetries (or mechanisms) may be avoided. Deviations from the tribimaximal pattern are expected, but because of its basic structure, only tan^2 (theta_12) may differ significantly from 0.5 (say 0.45) with sin^2 (2 theta_23) remaining very close to one, and theta_13 very nearly zero.

We construct a class of supersymmetric SU(5) GUT models that produce nearly tribimaximal lepton mixing, the observed quark mixing matrix, and the quark and lepton masses, from discrete non-Abelian flavor symmetries.
