The Mayer-Vietoris principle for Grothendieck-Witt groups of schemes

We prove localization and Zariski-Mayer-Vietoris for higher Grothendieck-Witt groups, alias hermitian $K$-groups, of schemes admitting an ample family of line-bundles. No assumption on the characteristic is needed, and our schemes can be singular. Along the way, we prove additivity, fibration and approximation theorems for the hermitian $K$-theory of exact categories with weak equivalences and duality.

Mayer-Vietoris sequences and equivariant K-theory rings of toric varieties

We apply a Mayer-Vietoris sequence argument to identify the Atiyah-Segal equivariant complex K-theory rings of certain toric varieties with rings of integral piecewise Laurent polynomials on the associated fans. A Mayer-Vietoris Spectral Sequence for C*-Algebras and Coarse Geometry

Toric varieties, monoid schemes and $cdh$ descent

We give conditions for the Mayer-Vietoris property to hold for the algebraic K-theory of blow-up squares of toric varieties in any characteristic, using the theory of monoid schemes. These conditions are used to relate algebraic K-theory to topological cyclic homology in characteristic p. To achieve our goals, we develop for monoid schemes many notions from classical algebraic geometry, such as separated and proper maps.

Pro cdh-descent for cyclic homology and $K$-theory

Additive Chow groups of schemes

We show how to make the additive Chow groups of Bloch-Esnault, Ruelling and Park into a graded module for Bloch's higher Chow groups, in the case of a smooth projective variety over a field. Hermitian K-theory, derived equivalences and Karoubi's Fundamental Theorem

Within the framework of dg categories with weak equivalences and duality that have uniquely 2-divisible mapping complexes, we show that higher Grothendieck-Witt groups (aka. hermitian K-groups) are invariant under derived equivalences and that Morita exact sequences induce long exact sequences of Grothendieck-Witt groups.
