We investigate the angular distribution of positrons in the coherent process electronpositron pair creation process by high-energy photons in a periodically deformed single crystal with a complex base. The formula for the corresponding differential cross-section is derived for an arbitrary deformation field. The case is considered in detail when the photon enters into the crystal at small angles with respect to a crystallographic axis. The results of the numerical calculations are presented for${\mathrm{SiO}}_{2}$ and diamond single crystals and Moliere parameterization of the screened atomic potentials in the case of the deformation field generated by the acoustic wave of S-type.
We present an exactly solvable example of coherent quantum interference effects in the creation of electron-positron pairs from the collision of a photon with ultra-short laser pulses. Being characterised entirely by null, or lightlike, directions, this setup realises an all-optical double-slit in the "null" domain, and exhibits features both in common with, and distinct from, a time domain double-slit (Ramsey interferometer). We show that by tailoring the order and amplitude of the pulses one can control signatures of both quantum and classical physics in the produced positron spectrum.
We analyze the kinematics of electron-positron production in a photon-photon interaction when one has a modification of the special relativistic kinematics as a power expansion in the inverse of a new high-energy scale. We derive the equation for the threshold energy of this reaction to first order in this expansion, including the effects due to a modification of the energy-momentum conservation equation. In contrast with the Lorentz invariance violation case, a scale of the order of a few TeV is found to be compatible with the observations of very high-energy cosmic gamma rays in the case of …
We study several classical like properties of q-deformed nonlinear coherent states as well as nonclassical behaviours of q-deformed version of the Schrodinger cat states in noncommutative space. Coherent states in q-deformed space are found to be minimum uncertainty states together with the squeezed photon distributions unlike the ordinary systems, where the photon distributions are always Poissonian. Several advantages of utilising cat states in noncommutative space over the standard quantum mechanical spaces have been reported here. For instance, the q-deformed parameter has been utilised to…
Second degree polynomial Heisenberg algebras are realized through the harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian, together with two deformed ladder operators chosen as the third powers of the standard annihilation and creation operators. The corresponding solutions to the Painleve IV equation are easily found. Moreover, three different sets of eigenstates of the deformed annihilation operator are constructed, called the good, the bad and the ugly coherent states. Some physical properties of such states will be as well studied.
The effect of phase space general noncommutativity on producing deformed coherent squeezed states is examined. A two-dimensional noncommutative quantum system supported by a deformed mathematical structure similar to that of Hadamard billiards is obtained and their components behavior are monitored in time. It is assumed that the independent degrees of freedom are two \emph{free} 1D harmonic oscillators (HO's), so the system Hamiltonian does not contain interaction terms. Through the noncommutative deformation parameterized by a Seiberg-Witten transform on the original canonical variables, one…
The generation of coherent superposition of distinct physical systems and the construction of robust entangled states under decoherence are the most experimental challenges of quantum technologies. In this work, we investigate the behaviors of catlike states of a deformed harmonic oscillator under dissipative decoherence. Varying the deformation parameters, we obtain catlike states having more resistance against decoherence than catlike states of the ordinary harmonic oscillator. Furthermore, we study nonclassical properties and entanglement of different catlike states subjects to decoherence …
