We use the technique of Harish-Chandra bimodules to prove that regular strongly typical blocks of the category $\mathcal{O}$ for the queer Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{q}_n$ are equivalent to the corresponding blocks of the category $\mathcal{O}$ for the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{gl}_n$.
Branching rules for the restriction of regular representations of $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathfrak{o}/\mathfrak{p}^r)$ to $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathfrak{o}/\mathfrak{p}^r).$
Let $\mathfrak{o}$ be the ring of integers in a non-Archimedean local field with finite residue field, $\mathfrak{p}$ its maximal ideal, and $r\geq2$ an integer. An irreducible representation of the finite group $G_{r}=\mathrm{GL}_{N}(\mathfrak{o}/\mathfrak{p}^{r})$ is called regular if its restriction to the principal congruence kernel $K^{r-1}=1+\mathfrak{p}^{r-1}\mathrm{M}_{N}(\mathfrak{o}/\mathfrak{p}^{r})$ consists of representations whose stabilisers modulo $K^{1}$ are centralisers of regular elements in $\mathrm{M}_{N}(\mathfrak{o}/\mathfrak{p})$. The regular representations form the la…
Let $\mathfrak g$ be a simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field $\bf k$ of characteristic zero and $\bf G$ its adjoint group. Let $\mathfrak q$ be a biparabolic subalgebra of $\mathfrak g$. The algebra $Sy(\mathfrak q)$ of semi-invariants on $\mathfrak q^*$ is polynomial in most cases, in particular when $\mathfrak g$ is simple of type $A$ or $C$. On the other hand $\mathfrak q$ admits a canonical truncation $\mathfrak q_Λ$ such that $Sy(\mathfrak q)=Sy(\mathfrak q_Λ)=Y(\mathfrak q_Λ)$ where $Y(\mathfrak q_Λ)$ denotes the algebra of invariant functions on $\mathfrak q_Λ^*$. An ada…
Using quantum differential operators, we construct a super representation of $U_v(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$ on a certain polynomial superalgebra. We then extend the representation to its formal power series algebra which contains a $U_v(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$-submodule isomorphic to the regular representation of $U_v(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$. In this way, we obtain a presentation of $U_v(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$ by a basis together with explicit multiplication formulas of the basis elements by generators.
For a type I basic classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{g}_{\bar{0}} \oplus \mathfrak{g}_{\bar{1}}$, we establish an equivalence between typical blocks of categories of $U_χ(\mathfrak{g})$-modules and $U_χ(mathfrak{g}_{\bar{0})$-modules. We then deduce various consequences from the equivalence.
Let $\mathfrak a$ be an algebraic Lie algebra. An adapted pair for $\mathfrak a$ is pair $(h,η)$ consisting of an ad-semisimple element of $h \in \mathfrak a$ and a regular element of $η\in \mathfrak a^*$ satisfying $(ad \ h)η=-η$. An adapted pair $(h,η)$ is said to satisfy integrality if $ad \ h$ has integer eigenvalues on $\mathfrak a$. Integrality is shown to hold for any Frobenius Lie algebra which is a biparabolic subalgebra of a semisimple Lie algebra; but may fail in general. Call $\mathfrak a$ regular if there are no proper semi-invariant polynomial functions on $\mathfrak a^*$ and if …
Let $\mathfrak{o}$ be a complete discrete valuation ring with finide residue field $\mathsf{k}$ of odd characteristic, and let $\mathbf{G}$ be a symplectic or special orthogonal group scheme over $\mathfrak{o}$. For any $\ell\in\mathbb{N}$ let $G^\ell$ denote the $\ell$-th principal congruence subgroup of $\mathbf{G}(\mathfrak{o})$. An irreducible character of the group $\mathbf{G}(\mathfrak{o})$ is said to be regular if it is trivial on a subgroup $G^{\ell+1}$ for some $\ell$, and if its restriction to $G^\ell/G^{\ell+1}\simeq \mathrm{Lie}(\mathbf{G})(\mathsf{k})$ consists of characters of mi…
Let $\mathfrak a$ be an algebraic Lie subalgebra of a simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ with index $\mathfrak a \leq \rank \mathfrak g$. Let $Y(\mathfrak a)$ denote the algebra of $\mathfrak a$ invariant polynomial functions on $\mathfrak a^*$. An algebraic slice for $\mathfrak a$ is an affine subspace $η+V$ with $η\in \mathfrak a^*$ and $V \subset \mathfrak a^*$ a subspace of dimension index $\mathfrak a$ such that restriction of function induces an isomorphism of $Y(\mathfrak a)$ onto the algebra $R[η+V]$ of regular functions on $η+V$. Slices have been obtained in a number of cases through th…
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a complex semisimple Lie algebra. For a regular element $x$ in $\mathfrak{g}$ and a Hessenberg space $H\subseteq \mathfrak{g}$, we consider a regular Hessenberg variety $X(x,H)$ in the flag variety associated with $\mathfrak{g}$. We take a Hessenberg space so that $X(x,H)$ is irreducible, and show that the higher cohomology groups of the structure sheaf of $X(x,H)$ vanish. We also study the flat family of regular Hessenberg varieties, and prove that the scheme-theoretic fibers over the closed points are reduced. We include applications of these results as well.
Let $N$ be a simply connected, connected non-commutative nilpotent Lie group with Lie algebra $\mathfrak{n}$ having rational structure constants. We assume that $N=P\rtimes M,$ $M$ is commutative, and for all $λ\in \mathfrak{n}^{\ast}$ in general position the subalgebra $\mathfrak{p}=\log(P)$ is a polarization ideal subordinated to $λ$ ($\mathfrak{p}$ is a maximal ideal satisfying $[\mathfrak{p},\mathfrak{p}]\subseteq\kerλ$ for all $λ$ in general position and $\mathfrak{p}$ is necessarily commutative.) Under these assumptions, we prove that there exists a discrete uniform subgroup $Γ\subset N$…

Beilinson--Bernstein localisation relates representations of a Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ to certain $\mathcal{D}$-modules on the flag variety of $\mathfrak{g}$. In [arXiv:2002.01540], examples of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-representations which correspond to $\mathcal{D}$-modules on $\mathbb{CP}^1$ were computed. In this expository article, we give a topological description of these and extended examples via the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. We generalise this to a full characterisation of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-representations which correspond to holonomic $\mathcal{D}$-modules on $\mathbb{CP}^1$ with a…
For any involution $σ$ of a semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$, one constructs a non-reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak k$, which is called a $\mathbb Z_2$-contraction of $\mathfrak g$. In this paper, we attack the problem of describing maximal commutative subalgebras of the Poisson algebra $S(\mathfrak k)$. This is closely related to the study of the coadjoint representation of $\mathfrak k$ and the set, $\mathfrak k^*_{reg}$, of the regular elements of $\mathfrak k^*$. By our previous results, in the context of $\mathbb Z_2$-contractions, the argument shift method provides maximal commutativ…
We consider the problem of representing the Kac-Moody algebra $\mathfrak{g}(N)$ specified by an $r\times r$ indecomposable generalised Cartan matrix $N$ as vector fields on the torus ${{\bb C}^*}^r$. It is shown that, if the representations are of a certain form, this is possible if and only if $\mathfrak{g}(N)\cong sl(r+1,{\bb C})$ or $\tilde{sl}(r,{\bb C})$. For $sl(r+1,{\bb C})$ and $\tilde{sl}(r,{\bb C})$, discrete families of representations are constructed. These generalise the well-known discrete families of representations of $sl(2,{\bb C})$ as regular vector fields on ${\bb C}^*$
The purpose of this paper is to bring together various loose ends in the theory of integrable systems. For a semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$, we obtain several results on completeness of homogeneous Poisson-commutative subalgebras of ${\mathcal S}(\mathfrak g)$ on coadjoint orbits. This concerns, in particular, Mishchenko-Fomenko and Gelfand-Tsetlin subalgebras.

Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a simple finite-dimensional Lie superalgebra with a non-degenerate supersymmetric even invariant bilinear form, $f$ a nilpotent element in the even part of $\mathfrak{g}$, $Γ$ a good grading of $\mathfrak{g}$ for $f$ and $\mathcal{W}^{k}(\mathfrak{g},f;Γ)$ the $\mathcal{W}$-algebra associated with $\mathfrak{g},f,k,Γ$ defined by the generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction. In this paper, we present each $\mathcal{W}$-algebra as the intersection of kernels of the screening operators, acting on the tensor vertex superalgebra of an affine vertex superalgebra and a neutral fre…
In this paper, we show that the Dirac cohomology $H_{D}(L(λ))$ of a simple highest weight module $L(λ)$ in $\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}$ can be parameterized by a specific set of weights: a subset $\mathcal{W}_I(λ)$ of the orbit of the Weyl group $W$ acting on $λ+ρ$. As an application, we show that any simple module in $\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}$ is determined up to isomorphism by its Dirac cohomology. We describe four parameterizations of $H_D(L(λ))$ when $λ$ is regular. Two of these parameterizations are geometric in terms of a partial ordering on the dual of the Cartan subalgebra and a generali…
We consider Bethe subalgebras B(C) in the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_2)$ with $C$ regular $2\times 2$ matrix. We study the action of Bethe subalgebras of $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_2)$ on finite-dimensional representations of $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_2)$. We prove that $B(C)$ with real diagonal $C$ has simple spectrum on any irreducible $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_2)$-module corresponding to a disjoint union of real strings. We extend this result to limits of Bethe algebras. Our main tool is the computation of Shapovalov-type determinant for the nilpotent degeneration of $B(C)$.
Let ${\mathcal S}(\mathfrak g)$ be the symmetric algebra of a reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ equipped with the standard Poisson structure. If ${\mathcal C}\subset\mathcal S(\mathfrak g)$ is a Poisson-commutative subalgebra, then ${\rm trdeg\,}{\mathcal C}\le\boldsymbol{b}(\mathfrak g)$, where $\boldsymbol{b}(\mathfrak g)=(\dim\mathfrak g+{\rm rk}\mathfrak g)/2$. We present a method for constructing the Poisson-commutative subalgebra $\mathcal Z_{\langle\mathfrak h,\mathfrak r\rangle}$ of transcendence degree $\boldsymbol{b}(\mathfrak g)$ via a vector space decomposition $\mathfrak g=\math…
Let $Γ$ be a group acting on a scheme $X$ and on a Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$, both defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero $\Bbbk$. The corresponding equivariant map superalgebra $M(\mathfrak{g}, X)^Γ$ is the Lie superalgebra of equivariant regular maps from $X$ to $\mathfrak{g}$. In this paper we complete the classification of finite-dimensional irreducible $M(\mathfrak{g}, X)^Γ$-modules when $\mathfrak{g}$ is a finite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebra, $X$ is of finite type and $Γ$ is a finite abelian group acting freely on the rational points of $X$, by cla…
In this note, given a pair $(\mathfrak{g}, λ)$, where $\mathfrak{g}$ is a complex semisimple Lie algebra and $λ\in \mathfrak{h}^*$ is a dominant integral weight of $\mathfrak{g}$, where $\mathfrak{h} \subset \mathfrak{g}$ is the real span of the coroots inside a fixed Cartan subalgebra, we associate an $SU(2)$ and Weyl equivariant smooth map $f: X \to (P^m(\mathbb{C}))^n$, where $X \subset \mathfrak{h} \otimes \mathbb{R}^3$ is the configuration space of regular triples in $\mathfrak{h}$, and $m$, $n$ depend on the initial data $(\mathfrak{g}, λ)$. We conjecture that, for any $\mathbf{x} \in X$…
Given a simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ and an element $μ\in\mathfrak{g}^*$, the corresponding shift of argument subalgebra of $\text{S}(\mathfrak{g})$ is Poisson commutative. In the case where $μ$ is regular, this subalgebra is known to admit a quantization, that is, it can be lifted to a commutative subalgebra of $\text{U}(\mathfrak{g})$. We show that if $\mathfrak{g}$ is of type $A$, then this property extends to arbitrary $μ$, thus proving a conjecture of Feigin, Frenkel and Toledano Laredo. The proof relies on an explicit construction of generators of the center of the affine vertex alg…
We classify the "finite-dimensional" irreducible representations of the Yangians $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_t)$ and $Y(\mathfrak{sl}_t)$. These are associative ind-algebras in the Deligne category $\textbf{Rep}(GL_t)$, which generalize the regular Yangians $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ and $Y(\mathfrak{sl}_n)$ to complex rank. They were first defined by Etingof in his paper "Representation theory in complex rank". Here we solve Problem 7.2 from this paper. We work with the Deligne category $\textbf{Rep}(GL_t)$ using the ultraproduct approach introduced by Deligne and discussed by Nate Harman in arXiv:1601.03426.
We study a large class of Poisson manifolds, derived from Manin triples, for which we construct explicit partitions into regular Poisson submanifolds by intersecting certain group orbits. Examples include all varieties ${\mathcal L}$ of Lagrangian subalgebras of reductive quadratic Lie algebras $\d$ with Poisson structures defined by Lagrangian splittings of $\d$. In the special case of $\g \oplus \g$, where $\g$ is a complex semi-simple Lie algebra, we explicitly compute the ranks of the Poisson structures on ${\mathcal L}$ defined by arbitrary Lagrangian splittings of ${\mathfrak g} \oplus {…
Let $σ$ be an involution of a complex semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and $\mathfrak g=\mathfrak g_0\oplus\mathfrak g_1$ the related $\mathbb Z_2$-grading. We study relations between nilpotent $G_0$-orbits in $\mathfrak g_0$ and the respective $G$-orbits in $\mathfrak g$. If $e\in\mathfrak g_0$ is nilpotent and $\{e,h,f\}\subset\mathfrak g_0$ is an $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-triple, then the semisimple element $h$ yields a $\mathbb Z$-grading of $\mathfrak g$. Our main tool is the combined $\mathbb Z\times\mathbb Z_2$-grading of $\mathfrak g$, which is called a mixed grading. We prove, in particul…
The universal enveloping algebra of any semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ contains a family of maximal commutative subalgebras, called shift of argument subalgebras, parametrized by regular Cartan elements of $\mathfrak{g}$. For $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{gl}_n$ the Gelfand-Tsetlin commutative subalgebra in $U(\mathfrak{g})$ arises as some limit of subalgebras from this family. We study the analogous limit of shift of argument subalgebras for the Lie algebras $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$ and $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{so}_{2n+1}$. The limit subalgebra is described explicitly in terms of Bet…
Let O be a complete discrete valuation ring with finite residue field k of odd characteristic. Let G be a general or special linear group or a unitary group defined over O and let $\mathfrak{g}$ denote its Lie algebra. For every positive integer l, let $K^l$ be the l-th principal congruence subgroup of G(O). A continuous irreducible representation of G(O) is called regular of level l if it is trivial on $K^{l+1}$ and its restriction to $K^l/K^{l+1} \simeq \mathfrak{g}(k)$ consists of characters with G(k)-stabiliser of minimal dimension. In this paper we construct the regular characters of G(O)…
The aim of this paper is to study relations between regular reductive PVs with one-dimensional scalar multiplication and the structure of graded Lie algebras. We will show that the regularity of such PVs is described by an $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-triplet of a graded Lie algebra.
To each complex semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ and regular element $a\in\mathfrak{g}_{\text{reg}}$, one associates a Mishchenko-Fomenko subalgebra $\mathcal{F}_a\subseteq\mathbb{C}[\mathfrak{g}]$. This subalgebra amounts to a completely integrable system on the Poisson variety $\mathfrak{g}$, and as such has a bifurcation diagram $Σ_a\subseteq\mathrm{Spec}(\mathcal{F}_a)$. We prove that $Σ_a$ has codimension one in $\mathrm{Spec}(\mathcal{F}_a)$ if $a\in\mathfrak{g}_{\text{reg}}$ is not nilpotent, and that it has codimension one or two if $a\in\mathfrak{g}_{\text{reg}}$ is nilpotent. In…
The universal enveloping algebra of any semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ contains a family of maximal commutative subalgebras, called shift of argument subalgebras, parametrized by regular Cartan elements of $\mathfrak{g}$. For $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{gl}_n$ the Gelfand-Tsetlin commutative subalgebra in $U(\mathfrak{g})$ arises as some limit of subalgebras from this family. In our previous work (arXiv:1807.11126) we studied the analogous limit of shift of argument subalgebras for the Lie algebras $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$ and $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{o}_{2n+1}$. We described the li…
Let $\mathcal {W}^k(\mathfrak{sl}_4, f_{\text {subreg}})$ be the universal $\mathcal{W}$-algebra associated to $\mathfrak{sl}_4$ with its subregular nilpotent element, and let $\mathcal {W}_k(\mathfrak{sl}_4, f_{\text {subreg}})$ be its simple quotient. There is a Heisenberg subalgebra $\mathcal{H}$, and we denote by $\mathcal{C}^k$ the coset $\text{Com}(\mathcal{H}, \mathcal {W}^k(\mathfrak{sl}_4, f_{\text {subreg}}))$, and by $\mathcal{C}_k$ its simple quotient. We show that for $k=-4+(m+4)/3$ where $m$ is an integer greater than $2$ and $m+1$ is coprime to $3$, $\mathcal{C}_k$ is isomorphic…
We investigate the cohomology rings of regular semisimple Hessenberg varieties whose Hessenberg functions are of the form $h=(h(1),n\dots,n)$ in Lie type $A_{n-1}$. The main result of this paper gives an explicit presentation of the cohomology rings in terms of generators and their relations. Our presentation naturally specializes to Borel's presentation of the cohomology ring of the flag variety and it is compatible with the representation of the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$ on the cohomology constructed by J. Tymoczko. As a corollary, we also give an explicit presentation of the $\mathfr…
We show that for any singular dominant integral weight $λ$ of a complex semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, the endomorphism algebra $B$ of any projective-injective module of the parabolic BGG category $\mathcal{O}_λ^{\mathfrak{p}}$ is a symmetric algebra (as conjectured by Khovanov) extending the results of Mazorchuk and Stroppel for the regular dominant integral weight. Moreover, the endomorphism algebra $B$ is equipped with a homogeneous (non-degenerate) symmetrizing form. In the appendix, there is a short proof due to K. Coulembier and V. Mazorchuk showing that the endomorphism algebra …
We study relationships between the restricted unrolled quantum group $\overline{U}_q^H(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ at $2r$-th root of unity $q=e^{πi/r}, r \geq 2$, and the singlet vertex operator algebra $\mathcal M(r)$. We use deformable families of modules to efficiently compute $(1, 1)$-tangle invariants colored with projective modules of $\overline{U}_q^H(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$. These relate to the colored Alexander tangle invariants studied in [ADO, M1]. It follows that the regularized asymptotic dimensions of characters of $\mathcal M(r)$ coincide with the corresponding modified traces of open Hopf lin…
