We generalize the definition of satellites with respect to presheaves (and copresheaves) with trace in the sense of Inassaridze; a presheaf with trace is replaced by a graph with a pair of diagrams defined on it. We show that the right satellite functor is left adjoint to the left satellite functor, and that a functor having a right (left) adjoint preserves right (left) satellites. In particular cases the construction of satellites is given.

On satellites in semi-abelian categories: Homology without projectives

Working in a semi-abelian context, we use Janelidze's theory of generalised satellites to study universal properties of the Everaert long exact homology sequence. This results in a new definition of homology which does not depend on the existence of projective objects. We explore the relations with other notions of homology, and thus prove a version of the higher Hopf formulae. We also work out some examples.

The Boardman-Vogt resolution of operads in monoidal model categories

We extend the W-construction of Boardman and Vogt to operads of an arbitrary monoidal model category with suitable interval, and show that it provides a cofibrant resolution for well-pointed sigma-cofibrant operads. The standard simplicial resolution of Godement as well as the cobar-bar chain resolution are shown to be particular instances of this generalised W-construction.

Algebraic stability theorem for derived categories of zigzag persistence modules

We study distances on zigzag persistence modules from the viewpoint of derived categories and Auslander--Reiten quivers. The derived category of ordinary persistence modules is derived equivalent to that of arbitrary zigzag persistence modules, depending on a classical tilting module. Abstract tilting theory for quivers and related categories

We generalize the construction of reflection functors from classical representation theory of quivers to arbitrary small categories with freely attached sinks or sources. Highest weight categories and strict polynomial functors

Highest weight categories are described in terms of standard objects and recollements of abelian categories, working over an arbitrary commutative base ring. Then the highest weight structure for categories of strict polynomial functors is explained, using the theory of Schur and Weyl functors. A consequence is the well-known fact that Schur algebras are quasi-hereditary.
