We derive the one-loop correction to the space-time energy of a folded string in AdS_4 x CP^3 carrying spin S in AdS_4 and angular momentum J in CP^3 in the long string approximation. From this general result in the limit J << log S we obtain the one-loop correction to the cusp anomalous dimension which turns out to be -5 log 2/(2π). This value appears to be in conflict with the prediction from the recently conjectured all-loop Bethe ansatz.
We study a general class of spinning pulsating strings in $(AdS_5 \times S^5)_{\varkappa}$ background. For these family of solitons, we examine the scaling relation between the energy, spin or angular momentum. We verify that in $\varkappa \rightarrow 0 $ limit these relations reduce to the undeformed $AdS_5 \times S^5$ case. We further study an example of a string which is spinning in the $\varkappa$-deformed AdS$_5$ and S$^5$ simultaneously and find out the scaling relation among various conserved charges.
We extend the work of \cite{Ferrara:1971vh},\cite{Ferrara:1973vz}, to obtain an integral expression of OPE blocks for spinning primaries in CFT$_{2}$. We observe, when the OPE blocks are made out of conserved spinning primaries, the integral becomes a product of two copies of weighted AdS$_{2}$ fields, smeared along geodesics. In this way, conserved current OPE blocks in CFT$_{2}$ have a different representation in terms of AdS$_{2}$ geodesic operators, in stead of viewing them as AdS$_{3}$ geodesic operators. We also show, how this representation can be related to AdS$_{3}$ massless higher sp…
We examine the leading Regge string states relevant for semi-classical spinning string solutions. Using elementary RNS techniques, quadratic terms in an effective lagrangian are constructed which describe massive NSNS strings in a space-time with five-form flux. We then examine the specific case of AdS_5 x S^5, finding the dependence of AdS "energy" (E_0) on spin in AdS (S), spin on the sphere (J), and orbital angular momentum on the sphere (\nabla_a \nabla^a).
In the semiclassical approximation of Grassmann-valued electric charges for regularizing Coulomb self-energies, we extract the unique acceleration-independent interaction hidden in any Lienard-Wiechert solution for the system of N positive-energy spinning particles plus the electromagnetic field in the radiation gauge of the rest-frame instant form. With the help of a semiclassical Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation, this allows us to find the relativistic semiclassical Darwin potential. In the 2-body case the quantization of the lowest order reproduces exactly the results from the reduction of t…
Following earlier work by Polyakov and Gubser, Klebanov and Polyakov, we attempt to clarify the structure of vertex operators representing string states which have large (``semiclassical'') values of AdS energy (equal to 4-d dimension Δ) and angular momentum J in S^5 or spin S in AdS_5. We comment on the meaning of semiclassical limit in the context of α' perturbative expansion for the 2-d anomalous dimensions of the corresponding vertex operators. We consider in detail the leading-order 1-loop renormalization of these operators in AdS_5 x S^5 sigma model (ignoring fermionic contributions). We…
We propose the action of d=4 Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spinning particle with arbitrary fixed quantum numbers. Regardless of the spin value, the configuration space of the model is a direct product of d=4 AdS space and two-dimensional sphere corresponds to spinning degrees of freedom. The model is an AdS counterpart of the massive spinning particle in the Minkowski space proposed earlier. Being AdS-invariant, the model possesses two gauge symmetries implying identical conservation law for AdS-counterparts of mass and spin. Two equivalent forms of the action functional, minimal and manifestly covari…
We study four-point functions of spinning operators in the flavor current multiplet in four dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ SCFTs, using superspace techniques. In particular we explicitly construct the differential operators relating the different components of the super-correlator. As a byproduct of our analysis, we report the computation of the four-point amplitudes of gluons in bosonic Yang-Mills theories on $\mathrm{AdS}_5$ and we give evidence of an AdS double copy relation between the gluon amplitude and its gravitational counterpart.
We use the string sigma model action in AdS_5 \times S^5 to reconstruct the open string solution ending on the Wilson loop in S^3\times R parametrized by a geometric angle in S^3 and an angle in flavor space. Under the interchange of the world sheet space and time coordinates and the T-duality transformation with the radial inversion, the static open string configuration associated with the BPS Wilson loop with two equal angle parameters becomes a long open spinning string configuration which is produced by taking the equal limit of two frequencies for the folded spinning closed string with tw…
We study classical spinning closed string configuration on logarithmically deformed AdS_5 x T^{1,1} background with non-trivial Neveu-Schwarz B-field in which IIB string theory is dual to a non-conformal N=1 SU(N+M) x SU(N) gauge theory. The integrability on original AdS_5 x T^{1,1} background are significantly reduced by B-field. We find several spinning string solutions with two different ansatzs. Solutions for point-like strings and few circular strings are explicitly obtained. Folded spinning string solutions along radial direction are shown to be allowed in this background. These solution…
We study multi-charged rotating string states on Type IIB regular backgrounds dual to confining SU(N) gauge theories with (softly broken) {\cal N}=1 supersymmetry, in the infra red regime. After exhibiting the classical energy/charge relations for the folded and circular two-charge strings, we compute in the latter case the one loop sigma-model quantum correction. The classical relation has an expansion in positive powers of the analogous of the BMN effective coupling, while the quantum corrections are non perturbative in nature and are not subleading in the limit of infinite charge. We commen…
We point out the existence of some simple string solitons in AdS_5 x S^5, which at the same time are spinning in AdS_5 and pulsating in S^5, or vice-versa. This introduces an additional arbitrary constant into the scaling relations between energy and spin or R-charge. The arbitrary constant is not an angular momentum, but can be related to the amplitude of the pulsation. We discuss the solutions in detail and consider the scaling relations. Pulsating multi spin or multi R-charge solutions can also be constructed.
The two-twistor formulation of particle mechanics in D-dimensional anti-de Sitter space for D=4,5,7, which linearises invariance under the AdS isometry group Sp(4;K) for K=R,C,H, is generalized to the massless N-extended "spinning particle". The twistor variables are gauge invariant with respect to the initial N local worldline supersymmetries; this simplifies aspects of the quantum theory such as implications of global gauge anomalies. We also give details of the two-supertwistor form of the superparticle, in particular the massive superparticle on AdS_5.
In this paper we generalize the results of arXiv:0806.4758 to non-zero value J of angular momentum in S^5. We compute the 1-loop correction to the energy of the folded spinning string in AdS_5 x S^5 in the particular limit of slow short string approximation. In this limit the string is moving in a near-flat central region of AdS_5 slowly rotating in both AdS_5 and S^5. The one-loop correction should represent the first subleading correction to strong coupling expansion of the anomalous dimension of short gauge theory operators of the form Tr D^S Z^J in the SL(2) sector.
We study the semiclassical decay of macroscopic spinning strings in AdS_5 x S^5 through spontaneous splitting of the folded string worldsheet. Based on similar considerations in flat space this decay channel is expected to dominate the full quantum computation. The outgoing strings are uniquely specified by an infinite set of conserved (local) charges with a regular expansion in inverse powers of the initial angular momentum. We compute these charges and determine functional relations between them. Finally, a preliminary discussion of the corresponding calculation in the non-planar sector of t…
We derive the coherent state representation of the integrable spin chain Hamiltonian with symmetry group SL(2,R). By passing to the continuum limit, we find a spin chain sigma model describing a string moving on the hyperboloid SL(2,R)/U(1). The same sigma model is found by considering strings rotating with large angular momentum in AdS_5xS^5. The spinning strings are identified with semiclassical coherent states built out of SL(2,R) spin chain states.
In this paper, considering the correspondence between spin chains and string sigma models, we explore the rotating string solutions over $ η$ deformed $ AdS_5 \times S^{5} $ in the so called fast spinning limit. In our analysis, we focus only on the bosonic part of the full superstring action and compute the relevant limits on both $(R \times S^{3})_η $ and $(R \times S^{5})_η $ models. The resulting system reveals that in the fast spinning limit, the sigma model on $ η$ deformed $S^5$ could be $\textit{approximately}$ thought of as the continuum limit of anisotropic $ SU(3) $ Heisenberg spin …
We analyze the folded spinning string in AdS_4 x P^3 with spin S in AdS_4 and angular momentum J in P^3. We calculate the one-loop correction to its energy in the scaling limit of both ln S and J large with their ratio kept fixed. This result should correspond to the first subleading strong coupling correction to the anomalous dimension of operators of the type Tr(D^S(Y^\dagger Y)^J) in the dual N=6 Chern-Simons-matter theory. Our result appears to depart from the predictions for the generalized scaling function found from the all-loop Bethe equations conjectured for this AdS_4/CFT_3 duality. …
We demonstrate the existence of an infinite number of local commuting charges for classical solutions of the string sigma model on AdS_5 x S^5 associated with a certain circular three-spin solution spinning with large angular momenta in three orthogonal directions on the five-sphere. Using the AdS/CFT correspondence we find agreement to one-loop with the tower of conserved higher charges in planar N=4 super Yang-Mills theory associated with the dual composite single-trace operator in the highest weight representation (J_1,J_2,J_2) of SO(6). The agreement can be explained by the presence of int…
We derive the low-energy effective action for the spinning (GKP) string in AdS(3) x S(3) x M(4) where M(4) = S(3) x S(1) or T(4). In the first case the action consists of two O(4) non-linear sigma models which are coupled through their interaction with four massless Majorana fermions (plus one free decoupled scalar). While in the second case it consists of one O(4) sigma model coupled to four Majorana fermions together with four free scalars from the T(4). We show that these models are classically integrable by constructing their Lax connections.
We construct nonrelativistic spinning string solutions corresponding to $ SU(1,2|3) $ Spin-Matrix theory (SMT) limit of strings in $ AdS_5 \times S^5 $. Considering various nonrelativistic spinning string configurations both in $ AdS_5 $ as well as $ S^5 $ we obtain corresponding dispersion relations in the strong coupling regime of SMT where the strong coupling ($ \sim \sqrt{\mathfrak{g}} $) corrections near the BPS bound have been estimated in the slow spinning limit of strings in $ AdS_5 $. We generalize our results explicitly by constructing three spin folded string configurations that has…
In this paper, we investigate the semiclassical strings in AdS(3)XS^2, in which the string configuration of AdS(3) is classified to three cases depending on the parameters. Each of these has a different anomalous dimension proportional to logS, S^(1/3) and S, where S is a angular momentum on AdS(3). Further we generalize the dispersion relations for various string configuration on AdS(3)XS^2.
The sigma model describing closed strings rotating in AdS_3 x S^3 is known to reduce to the one-dimensional Neumann-Rosochatius integrable system. In this article we show that closed spinning strings in AdS_3 x S^3 x T^4 in the presence of NS-NS three-form flux can be described by an extension of the Neumann-Rosochatius system. We consider closed strings rotating with one spin in AdS_3 and two different angular momenta in S^3. For a class of solutions with constant radii we find the dependence of the classical energy on the spin and the angular momenta as an expansion in the square of the 't H…
Motivated by desire to shed light on the strong coupling behaviour of anomalous dimensions of "short" gauge theory operators we consider the famous example of folded spinning string in AdS_5 in the limit of small semiclassical spin parameter §= S/sqrt[lambda]. In this limit the string becomes short and is moving in a near-flat central region of AdS_5. Its energy scales with spin as E = sqrt[2 S] [ a_0 + a_1 S + a_2 S^2 + ...]. We explicitly compute the leading 1-loop quantum AdS_5 x S^5 superstring corrections to the short-string limit coefficients a_0 and a_1 and show, in particular, that a_1…
Motivated by the recent proposal for the S-matrix in $AdS_3\times S^3$ with mixed three form fluxes, we study classical folded string spinning in $AdS_3$ with both Ramond and Neveu-Schwarz three form fluxes. We solve the equations of motion of these strings and obtain their dispersion relation to the leading order in the Neveu-Schwarz flux $b$. We show that dispersion relation for the spinning strings with large spin ${\cal S}$ acquires a term given by $-\frac{\sqrtλ}{2π} b^2\log^2 {\cal S}$ in addition to the usual $\frac{\sqrtλ}π \log {\cal S}$ term where $\sqrtλ$ is proportional to the squa…
We use AdS_5 x S^5 superstring sigma model perturbation theory to compute the leading one-loop corrections to the dispersion relations of the excitations near a long spinning string in AdS. This investigation is partially motivated by the OPE-based approach to the computation of the expectation value of null polygonal Wilson loops suggested in arXiv:1006.2788. Our results are in partial agreement with the recent asymptotic Bethe ansatz computation in arXiv:1010.5237. In particular, we find that the heaviest AdS mode (absent in the ABA approach) is stable and has a corrected one-loop dispersion…
Relation between semiclassical analyses of Green-Schwarz and pure spinor formalisms in an AdS_5 x S^5 background is clarified. It is shown that the two formalisms have identical semiclassical partition functions for a simple family of classical solutions. It is also shown that, when the classical string is furthermore rigid, this in turn implies that the two formalisms predict the same one-loop corrections to spacetime energies.
We develop a systematic approach to evaluating AdS loop amplitudes based on the spectral (or "split") representation of bulk-to-bulk propagators, which re-expresses loop diagrams in terms of spectral integrals and higher-point tree diagrams. In this work we focus on 2pt one-loop Witten diagrams involving totally symmetric fields of arbitrary mass and integer spin. As an application of this framework, we study the contribution to the anomalous dimension of higher-spin currents generated by bubble diagrams in higher-spin gauge theories on AdS.
We find an infinite number of conserved currents and charges in the semiclassical limit $λ\to \infty$ of string theory in AdS$_5 \times S^5$ and remark on their relevance to conserved charges in the dual gauge theory. We establish a general procedure of exploring the semiclassical limit by viewing the classical motion as collective motion in the relevant part of the configuration space. We illustrate the procedure for semiclassical expansion around solutions of string theory on AdS$_5 \times (S^5/Z_M)$.
Recently there has been progress on the computation of two- and three-point correlation functions with two "heavy" states via semiclassical methods. We extend this analysis to the case of AdS_5 \times T^(1,1), and examine the suggested procedure for the case of several simple string solutions. By making use of AdS/CFT duality, we derive the relevant correlation functions of operators belonging to the dual gauge theory.
We review a special class of semiclassical string states in AdS_5 x S^5 which have a regular expansion of their energy in integer powers of the ratio of the square of string tension (`t Hooft coupling) and the square of large angular momentum in S^5. They allow one to quantitatively check the AdS/CFT duality in non-supersymmetric sector of states and also help to uncover the role of integrable structures on the two sides of the string theory -- gauge theory duality.
We analyze quantum corrections to rigid spinning strings in AdS(5)xS(5). The one-loop worldsheet quantum correction to the string energy is compared to the finite-size correction from the quantum string Bethe ansatz. Expanding the summands of the string theory energy shift in the parameter λ/J^2 and subsequently resumming them yields a divergent result. However, upon zeta-function regularization this result agrees with the Bethe ansatz at the first three orders. We also perform an analogous computation in the limit of large winding number, which results in a disagreement with the string Bethe …
We obtain explicit formulas for the eight bosonic and eight fermionic fluctuations around the mixed-flux generalization of the Hofman-Maldacena giant magnon on AdS$_3 \times$S$^3 \times$T$^4$ and AdS$_3 \times$S$^3 \times$S$^3 \times$S$^1$. As a check of our results, we confirm that the semiclassical quantization of these fluctuations leads to a vanishing one-loop correction to the magnon energy, as expected from symmetry based arguments.
Describing the bosonic AdS_3 x S^3 particle and string in SU(1,1) x SU(2) group variables, we provide a Hamiltonian treatment of the isometry group orbits of solutions via analysis of the pre-symplectic form. For the particle we obtain a one-parameter family of orbits parameterized by creation-annihilation variables, which leads to the Holstein-Primakoff realization of the isometry group generators. The scheme is then applied to spinning string solutions characterized by one winding number in AdS_3 and two winding numbers in S^3. We find a two-parameter family of orbits, where quantization aga…
Recently there has been progress on the computation of two- and three-point correlation functions with two "heavy" states via semiclassical methods. We extend this analysis to the case of AdS_4 x CP^3, and examine the suggested procedure for the case of several simple string solutions. By making use of AdS/CFT duality, we derive the relevant correlation functions of operators belonging to the dual N=6 Chern-Simons gauge theory.
We show that non-relativistic actions of string and D-branes on AdS_5 x S^5 can be reproduced as a semiclassical approximation of the string and D-brane actions around static 1/2 BPS configurations. This is contrastive to the Penrose limit. For example, the pp-wave string can be recaptured as a semiclassical approximation around a 1/2 BPS particle rotating at the velocity of light. We argue that small deformation of a straight Wilson line would give a composite operator in the gauge-theory side that corresponds to a semiclassical state of the non-relativistic string, according to the semiclass…
This paper investigates semiclassical backreaction of a conformally coupled massless scalar field on the geometrical background of a nearly spinning cosmic string - the spin density is smaller than, but arbitrarily close to, the dislocation parameter. As the spin density approaches the dislocation parameter, it is shown that an "ergoregion" spreads indefinitely around the cosmic string, boosting along the string axis the once static observers. Considering that the geometrical background contains closed timelike curves when the spin density exceeds the dislocation parameter, it is argued that t…
We discuss AdS/CFT duality in the sector of ``semiclassical'' string states with large quantum numbers. We review the coherent-state effective action approach, in which similar 2d sigma model actions appear from the AdS_5 x S^5 string action and from the integrable spin chain Hamiltonian representing the N=4 super Yang-Mills dilatation operator. We consider mostly the leading-order terms in the energies/anomalous dimensions which match but comment also on higher-order corrections.
Using AdS/CFT we derive from the folded spinning string ordinary differential equations for the anomalous dimension of the dual N=4 SYM twist-two operators at strong coupling. We show that for large spin the asymptotic solutions have the Gribov-Lipatov recirocity property. To obtain this result we use a hidden modular invariance of the energy-spin relation of the folded spinning string. Further we identify the Moch-Vermaseren-Vogt (MVV) relations, which were first recognized in plain QCD calculations, as the recurrence relations of the asymptotic series ansatz.
In this paper we study the three-point correlation functions of two scalar operators with large conformal dimensions and the R-current or stress-energy tensor at strong coupling with the help of the AdS_4/CFT_3 correspondence. The scalar operators are dual to semiclassical strings in AdS_4 x CP^3, which are point-like in AdS. We establish thorough concordance between string theory results at large coupling constant and general predictions coming from Ward identities in the dual three-dimensional superconformal gauge theory.
We compute structure constants in three-point functions of three string states in AdS_4 x CP^3 in the framework of the semiclassical approach. We consider HHL correlation functions where two of the states are "heavy" string states of finite-size giant magnons carrying one or two angular momenta and the other one corresponds to such "light" states as dilaton operators with non-zero momentum, primary scalar operators, and singlet scalar operators with higher string levels.
We reconsider the problem of determining the semiclassical 3-point function in the Euclidean AdS_3 model. Exploiting the affine symmetry of the model we use solutions of the classical Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equation to compute the saddle point of the action in the presence of three vertex operators. This alternative derivation reproduces the "heavy charge" classical limit of the quantum 3-point correlator. It is different from the recently proposed expression obtained by generalised Pohlmeyer reduction in AdS_2
We compute the one-loop correction to the classical dispersion relation of rigid closed spinning strings with two equal angular momenta in the $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ background supported with a mixture of R-R and NS-NS three-form fluxes. This analysis is extended to the case of two arbitrary angular momenta in the pure NS-NS limit. We perform this computation by means of two different methods. The first method relies on the Euler-Lagrange equations for the quadratic fluctuations around the classical solution, while the second one exploits the underlying integrability of the problem thro…
We develop the embedding formalism to describe symmetric traceless tensors in Anti-de Sitter space. We use this formalism to construct the bulk-to-bulk propagator of massive spin J fields and check that it has the expected short distance and massless limits. We also and a split representation for the bulk-to-bulk propagator, by writing it as an integral over the boundary of the product of two bulk-to-boundary propagators. We exemplify the use of this representation with the computation of the conformal partial wave decomposition of Witten diagrams. In particular, we determine the Mellin amplit…
We present a unified framework for the holographic computation of Virasoro conformal blocks at large central charge. In particular, we provide bulk constructions that correctly reproduce all semiclassical Virasoro blocks that are known explicitly from conformal field theory computations. The results revolve around the use of geodesic Witten diagrams, recently introduced in arXiv:1508.00501, evaluated in locally AdS$_3$ geometries generated by backreaction of heavy operators. We also provide an alternative computation of the heavy-light semiclassical block -- in which two external operators bec…
We present a method to study the equivalence at the semiclassical level of the Green-Schwarz and pure spinor formulations of String Theory in AdS(5) x S(5). This method provides a clear separation of the physical and unphysical sectors of the pure spinor formulation and allows one to prove that the two models have not only equal spectra for the fermionic fluctuations but also equal conformal weights (the bosonic ones being equal by construction).
We systematically construct a semiclassical expansion for the eigenvalues of the 2nd order quantum fluctuations of the folded spinning superstring rotating in the AdS_3 part of AdS_5 x S^5 with two alternative methods; by using the exact expression of the Bloch momentum generated by the curvature induced periodic potentials and by using the large energy expansion of the dispersion relation. We then calculate the one-loop correction to the energy by summing over the eigenvalues. Our results are extremely accurate for strings whose ends are not too close to the AdS radius. Finally we derive the …
Following the recent advances in the holographic calculation of n-point correlation functions with two "heavy" (with large quantum numbers) states at strong coupling, we extend these findings by computing specific four-point correlators of four heavy BMN operators in N=4 SYM.

We review recent progress in checking AdS/CFT duality in the sector of ''semiclassical'' string states dual to ''long'' scalar operators of N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. In particular, we discuss the effective action approach, in which the same sigma model type action describing coherent states is shown to emerge from the AdS_5 x S^5 string action and from the spin chain Hamiltonian representing the SYM dilatation operator.
In this paper we study the classical dynamics of long strings in AdS3, generalizing our previous study, arXiv:1410.3424 [hep-th], to rotating strings and BTZ black holes. As in the non-rotating case, BTZ black holes are generated in the large tension limit, in which string back-reaction must be taken into account. When back-reaction is properly accounted for, collapsing heavy, physical, rotating strings do not generate naked singularities but only BTZ black holes, including extremal ones. The rotating string must contain world-sheet excitations in order to have consistent equations of motion; …
A general class of rotating closed string solutions in AdS_5 x S^5 is shown to be described by a Neumann-Rosochatius one-dimensional integrable system. The latter represents an oscillator on a sphere or a hyperboloid with an additional ``centrifugal'' potential. We expect that the reduction of the AdS_5 x S^5 sigma model to the Neumann-Rosochatius system should have further generalizations and should be useful for uncovering new relations between integrable structures on the two sides of the AdS/CFT duality. We find, in particular, new circular rotating string solutions with two AdS_5 and thre…
We consider the leading finite-size effects on some structure constants for the $η$ - deformed $AdS_5\times S^5$ background in the framework of the semiclassical approach. The leading finite-size corrections are derived for the cases when we have two heavy string states represented by giant magnons and for two different choices of the light states corresponding to dilaton operator with nonzero momentum and primary scalar operators. Since the dual field theory is still unknown, the results obtained here must be considered as conjectures or as predictions from the string theory side.
We make a further step in the analytically exact quantization of spinning string states in semiclassical approximation, by evaluating the exact one-loop partition function for a class of two-spin string solutions for which quadratic fluctuations form a non-trivial system of coupled modes. This is the case of a folded string in the $SU(2)$ sector, in the limit described by a quantum Landau-Lifshitz model. The same applies to the full bosonic sector of fluctuations over the folded spinning string in $AdS_5$ with an angular momentum $J$ in $S^5$. Fluctuations are governed by a special class of fo…
We show that bosonic spinning strings on the η-deformed AdS_5 x S^5 background are naturally described as periodic solutions of a novel finite-dimensional integrable system which can be viewed as a deformation of the celebrated Neumann model. For this deformed model we find the Lax representation and the analogue of the Uhlenbeck integrals.
We present a semiclassical derivation of the tree-level and 1-loop dressing phases in the massive sector of string theory on AdS_3 x S^3 x T^4 supplemented by R-R and NS-NS 3-form fluxes. In analogy with the AdS_5 x S^5 case, we use the dressing method to obtain scattering solutions for dyonic giant magnons which allows us to determine the semiclassical bound-state S-matrix and its 1-loop correction. We also find that the 1-loop correction to the dyonic giant magnon energy vanishes. Looking at the relation between the bound-state picture and elementary magnons in terms of the fusion procedure …
We consider open spinning string solutions on an AdS_4 x S^2-brane (D5-brane) in the bulk AdS_5 x S^5 background. By taking account of the breaking of SO(6)_R to SO(3)_H x SO(3)_V due to the presence of the AdS-brane, the open rotating string ansatz is discussed. We construct the elliptic folded/circular open string solutions in the SU(2) and the SL(2) sectors, so that they satisfy the appropriate boundary conditions. On the other hand, in the SU(2) sector of the gauge theory, we compute the matrix of anomalous dimension of the defect operator, which turns out to be the Hamiltonian of an open …
