In recent work, the Schwarzschild interior of a black hole was investigated, incorporating quantum gravitational modifications due to loop quantum gravity. The central Schwarzschild singularity was shown to be replaced by a Nariai type universe. In this brief report we show that this interior solution is stable with respect to small perturbations, in contrast to the classical Nariai universe.
We employ the minimal geometric deformation approach to gravitational decoupling (MGD- decoupling) in order to build an exact anisotropic version of the Schwarzschild interior solution in a space-time with cosmological constant. Contrary to the well-known Schwarzschild interior, the matter density in the new solution is not uniform and possesses subluminal sound speed. It therefore satisfies all standard physical requirements for a candidate astrophysical object.
We present a time-dependent uniform-density interior Schwarzschild solution, an exact solution to the Einstein field equations. Our solution describes the collapse (or the time-reversed expansion) of an object from an infinite radius to an intermediate radius of 9/8 of the Schwarzschild radius, at which time a curvature singularity appears at the origin, and then continues beyond the singularity to a gravastar with radius equal to the Schwarzschild radius.
We solve exactly the Regge-Wheeler equation for axial perturbations of the Schwarzschild metric in the black hole interior in terms of Heun functions and give a description of the spectrum and the eigenfunctions of the interior problem. The phenomenon of attraction and repulsion of the discrete eigenvalues of gravitational waves is discovered.
We embed the Schwarzschild interior solution in a five-dimensional flat space and show that the systems of the interior and the exterior solution are based on the same geometrical principles. It turns out that the energy tensor of the matter has its origin in the five-dimensional structure of the geometry and is built up by the generalized second fundamental forms. Thus, the matter is already geometrized. The Codazzi equations are the field equations for the matter field.
We investigate inner structure of Schwarzschild black hole on a five-dimensional spacetime S^3xR^2. To do this, we exploit a fünfbein scheme. In particular, we construct an equation of state of hydrostatic equilibrium for the five-dimensional Schwarzschild black hole, which is a five-dimensional version of the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equation on four-dimensional manifold. We also investigate uniform density interior configuration of the five-dimensional black hole which consists of incompressible fluid of density, to find a general relativistic expression for pressure.
In a recent paper Liu considered the complete Schwarzschild interior and exterior solution in harmonic coordinates. There he argued about the necessity to keep an integration constant, in contrast with previous treatments. The purpose of this comment is to show that the above conclusion cannot be traced from the matching conditions between the vacuum exterior and the uniform density interior perfect fluid, as claimed.
We wish to construct a model for charged star as a generalization of the uniform density Schwarzschild interior solution. We employ the Vaidya and Tikekar ansatz [{\it Astrophys. Astron.} {\bf 3} (1982) 325] for one of the metric potentials and electric field is chosen in such a way that when it is switched off the metric reduces to the Schwarzschild. This relates charge distribution to the Vaidya-Tikekar parameter, $k$, indicating deviation form sphericity of three dimensional space when embedded into four dimensional Euclidean space. The model is examined against all the physical conditions …
The Schwarzschild solution has played a fundamental conceptual role in general relativity, and beyond, for instance, regarding event horizons, spacetime singularities and aspects of quantum field theory in curved spacetimes. However, one still encounters the existence of misconceptions and a certain ambiguity inherent in the Schwarzschild solution in the literature. By taking into account the point of view of an observer in the interior of the event horizon, one verifies that new conceptual difficulties arise. In this work, besides providing a very brief pedagogical review, we further analyze …
The interior of Schwarzschild black hole is quantized by the method of loop quantum gravity. The Hamiltonian constraint is solved and the physical Hilbert space is obtained in the model. The properties of a Dirac observable corresponding to the ADM mass of the Schwarzschild black hole are studied by both analytical and numerical techniques. It turns out that zero is not in the spectrum of this Dirac observable. This supports the existence of a stable remnant after the evaporation of a black hole. Our conclusion is valid for a general class of schemes adopted for loop quantization of the model.
In this paper the interior of the Schwarzschild black hole, which is presented as a vacuum homogeneous and anisotropic Kantowski-Sachs minisuperspace cosmological model, is considered. Lagrangian of the model is reduced by a suitable coordinate transformation to Lagrangian of two decoupled oscillators with the same frequencies and with zero energy in total (an oscillator-ghost-oscillator system). The model will be presented in a classical, a p-adic and a noncommutative case. Then, within the standard quantum approach Wheeler-DeWitt equation and its general solutions, i.e. a wave function of th…
We review, as well as provide some new results regarding the study of the structure of spacetime and the singularity in the interior of the Schwarzschild black hole in both loop quantum gravity and generalized uncertainty principle approaches, using congruences and their associated expansion scalar and the Raychaudhuri equation. We reaffirm previous results that in loop quantum gravity, in all three major schemes of polymer quantization, the expansion scalar, Raychaudhuri equation and the Kretschmann scalar remain finite everywhere in the interior. In the context of the eneralized uncertainty …
We study a Hamiltonian quantum formalism of a spherically symmetric space-time which can be identified with the interior of a Schwarzschild black hole. The phase space of this model is spanned by two dynamical variables and their conjugate momenta. It is shown that the classical Lagrangian of the model gives rise the interior metric of a Schwarzschild black hole. We also show that the the mass of such a system is a Dirac observable and then by quantization of the model by Wheeler-DeWitt approach and constructing suitable wave packets we get the mass spectrum of the black hole.
We show that loop quantum gravity effects leads to the finiteness of expansion and its rate of change in the effective regime in the interior of the Schwarzschild black hole. As a consequence the singularity is resolved. We find this in line with previous results about curvature scalar and strong curvature singularities in Kantowski-Sachs model which is isometric to Schwarzschild interior.
Matching Radial Geodesics in Two Schwarzschild Spacetimes (e.g. Black-to-White Hole Transition) or Schwarzschild and de Sitter Spacetimes (e.g. Interior of a Non-singular Black Hole)
We study the interior of a Schwarzschild Black-Hole (B-H) using Relativistic Quantum Geometry described in \cite{rb} and \cite{rb1}. We found discrete energy levels for a scalar field from a polynomial condition for Heun Confluent functions expanded around the Schwarzschild radius. From the solutions it is obtained that the uncertainty principle is valid for each energy level of space-time, in the form: $E_n\, r_{sh,n}=\hbar/2$. Temperature, entropy and the B-H mass are dependent on the number of states in the B-H, such that the Bekenstein-Hawking (BH) results are obtained in a limit case.
A reformulation of the Schwarzschild solution of the linearised Einstein field equations in post-Riemannian Finsler spacetime is derived. The solution is constructed in three stages: the exterior solution, the event-horizon solution and the interior solution. It is shown that the exterior solution is asymptotically similar to Newtonian gravity at large distances implying that Newtonian gravity is a low energy approximation of the solution. Application of Eddington-Finklestein coordinates is shown to reproduce the results obtained from standard general relativity at the event horizon. Further a…
We examine the Schwarzschild interior of a black hole, incorporating quantum gravitational modifications due to loop quantum gravity. We consider an improved loop quantization using techniques that have proven successful in loop quantum cosmology. The central Schwarzschild singularity is resolved and the implications for the fate of an in-falling test particle in the interior region is discussed. The singularity is replaced by a Nariai type Universe. We discuss the resulting conformal diagram, providing a clear geometrical interpretation of the quantum effects.
Our goal in this paper is to explain the internal properties of the black hole by considering its density as a function of the reciprocal of its radius and the temperature as a function of the reciprocal of the density. We then set the temperature to the Hawking temperature. This gives all the macroscopic quantities of the black hole, such as heat capacity, pressure, surface gravity, and equation of state. In this work, we only consider a black hole with mass M , radius r+ and vacuum. Two internal forces and the corresponding potential are obtained. In addition, the potential of the vacuum, th…
We investigate the properties of relativistic star spheres made of an electrically charged incompressible fluid, generalizing, thus, the Schwarzschild interior solution. The investigation is carried by integrating numerically the hydrostatic equilibrium equation, i.e., the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equation, with the hypothesis that the charge distribution is proportional to the energy density. We match the interior to a Reissner-Nordström exterior, and study some features of these star spheres such as the total mass $M$, the radius $R$, and the total charge $Q$. We also display the pre…
We calculate the maximum interior volume, enclosed by the event horizon, of a ($1+D$)-dimensional Schwarzschild black hole. Taking into account the mass change due to Hawking radiation, we show that the volume increases towards the end of the evaporation. This fact is not new as it has been observed earlier for four dimensional case. The interesting point we observe is that this increase rate decreases towards the higher value of space dimensions $D$; i.e. it is a decelerated expansion of volume with the increase of spacial dimensions. This implies that for a sufficiently large $D$, the maximu…
Interior volume within the horizon of a black hole is a non-trivial concept which turns out to be very important to explain several issues in the context of quantum nature of black hole. Here we show that the entropy, contained by the {\it maximum} interior volume for massless modes, is proportional to the Bekenstein-Hawking expression. The proportionality constant is less than unity implying the horizon bears maximum entropy than that by the interior. The derivation is very systematic and free of any ambiguity. To do so the precise value of the energy of the modes, living in the interior, is …
The relativistic wave equation for spin-1/2 particles in the interior Schwarzschild solution in the presence of a uniform magnetic field is obtained. The fully relativistic regime is considered, and the energy levels occupied by the particles are derived as functions of the magnetic field, the radius of the massive sphere and the total mass of the latter. As no assumption is made on the relative strengths of the particles' interaction with the gravitational and magnetic fields, the relevance of our results to the physics of the interior of neutron stars, where both the gravitational and the ma…
We investigate the classical stability of Schwarzschild-AdS black hole in a massive theory of the Einstein-Weyl gravity. It turns out that the linearized Einstein tensor perturbations exhibit unstable modes featuring the Gregory-Laflamme instability of five-dimensional AdS black string, in contrast to the stable Schwarzschild-AdS black hole in the Einstein-Weyl gravity. We confirm that the instability of the black hole in the Einstein-Weyl gravity arises from the massiveness but not a feature of fourth-order derivative theory giving ghost states.
The interior of a Schwarzschild black hole is investigated at the level of phenomenological dynamics with the discreteness corrections of loop quantum geometry implemented in two different improved quantization schemes. In one scheme, the classical black hole singularity is resolved by the quantum bounce, which bridges the black hole interior with a white hole interior. In the other scheme, the classical singularity is resolved and the event horizon is also diffused by the quantum bounce. Jumping over the quantum bounce, the black hole gives birth to a baby black hole with a much smaller mass.…
In this paper, we explore the interior dynamics of neutral and charged black holes. Scalar collapses in flat, Schwarzschild, and Reissner-Nordstrom geometries are simulated. We examine the dynamics in the vicinities of the central singularity of a Schwarzschild black hole and of the inner horizon of a Reissner-Nordstrom black hole. In simulating scalar collapses in Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordstrom geometries, Kruskal and Kruskal-like coordinates are used, respectively, with the presence of a scalar field being taken into account. It is found that, besides near the inner horizons of Reissne…
We study the behaviour of smooth solutions to the wave equation, $\square_gψ=0$, in the interior of a fixed Schwarzschild black hole. In particular, we obtain a full asymptotic expansion for all solutions towards $r=0$ and show that it is characterised by its first two leading terms, the principal logarithmic term and a bounded second order term. Moreover, we characterise an open set of initial data for which the corresponding solutions blow up logarithmically on the entirety of the singular hypersurface $\{r=0\}$. Our method is based on deriving weighted energy estimates in physical space and…
The exterior and interior Schwarzschild solutions are rewritten replacing the usual radial variable with an angular one. This allows to obtain some results otherwise less apparent or even hidden in other coordinate systems.

Mazharimousavi and Halilsoy [1] recently proposed wormhole solutions in $f(R)$-gravity that satisfy energy conditions but are unstable. We show here that stability could still be achieved for thin-shell wormholes obtained by gluing the wormholes in $f(R)$-gravity with the exterior Schwarzschild vacuum. Using the new geometrical constraints from thin-shell "mass" and from external "force" developed by Garcia, Lobo and Visser, we demarcate and analyze the stability regions.
In this paper we construct a non-commutative gauge theory for the deformed metric corresponding to the modified structure of a gravitational field in the case of Yukawa-Schwarzschild non-commutative space-time. The thermodynamic properties and corrections to the gravitational force on the horizon of a non-commutative Yukawa-Schwarzschild black hole are analysed.
The success of loop quantum cosmology to resolve classical singularities of homogeneous models has led to its application to the classical Schwarszchild black hole interior, which takes the form of a homogeneous Kantowski-Sachs model. The first steps of this were done in pure quantum mechanical terms, hinting at the traversable character of the would-be classical singularity, and then others were performed using effective heuristic models capturing quantum effects that allowed a geometrical description closer to the classical one but avoided its singularity. However, the problem of establishin…

Within the Relativistic Theory of Gravitation it is shown that the equation of state $p=ρ$ holds near the center of a black hole. For the stiff equation of state $p=ρ-ρ_c$ the interior metric is solved exactly. It is matched with the Schwarzschild metric, which is deformed in a narrow range beyond the horizon. The solution is regular everywhere, with a specific shape at the origin. The gravitational redshift at the horizon remains finite but is large, $z\sim 10^{23}$$M_\odot/M$. Time keeps its standard role also in the interior. The energy of the Schwarzschild metric, shown to be minus infinit…
We study the stability of Schwarzschild-Tangherlini (ST) black holes in fourth-order gravity which provides a higher dimensional linearized massive equation. The linearized-Ricci tensor perturbation is employed to exhibit unstable modes featuring the Gregory-Laflamme (GL) instability of higher dimensional black strings, in comparison to the stable ST black holes in Einstein gravity. It turns out that the GL instability of the ST black holes in the fourth-order gravity originates from the massiveness, but not a nature of fourth-order derivative theories giving ghost states.
Recently, it has been shown by Lobo, Parsaei and Riazi (LPR) that phantom energy with $ω=p_{r}/ρ<-1$ could support phantom wormholes. Several classes of such solutions have been derived by them. While the inner spacetime is represented by asymptotically flat phantom wormhole that have repulsive gravity, it is most likely to be unstable to perturbations. Hence, we consider a situation, where a phantom wormhole is somehow trapped inside a Schwarzschild sphere across a thin shell. Applying the method developed by Garcia, Lobo and Visser (GLV), we shall exemplify that the shell can possess zones o…
The first-order semiclassical Einstein field equations are solved in the interior of the Schwarzschild-Tangherlini black holes. The source term is taken to be the stress-energy tensor of the quantized massive scalar field with arbitrary curvature coupling calculated within the framework of the Schwinger-DeWitt approximation. It is shown that for the minimal coupling the quantum effects tend to isotropize the interior of the black hole (which can be interpreted as an anisotropic collapsing universe) for D=4 and 5, whereas for D=6 and 7 the spacetime becomes more anisotropic. Similar behavior is…
Dynamical Chern-Simons gravity has an interesting feature that the parity violating term exists, and the coupling is determined by a dynamical scalar field. When the spacetime has spherical symmetry, the parity violating term vanishes, and then the metric of the Schwarzschild spacetime with vanishing scalar field is an exact solution of dynamical Chern-Simons gravity. The effect of the Chern-Simons coupling appears in the study of perturbation around the Schwarzschild spacetime. Due to the parity violating term, the odd parity metric perturbation and the perturbed scalar field are coupled, and…
In their original study of conformal gravity, a candidate alternate gravitational theory, Mannheim and Kazanas showed that in any empty vacuum region exterior to a localized static spherically symmetric gravitational source, the geometry would reduce to the standard attractive gravity Schwarzschild geometry on solar system distance scales. In a recent paper Flanagan has argued that this would not be the case if the source has associated with it a macroscopic scalar field which makes a non-zero contribution to the energy-momentum tensor in the otherwise empty exterior region. In this paper we e…
In this paper we study the geodesic structure of the Schwarzschild black hole in rainbow gravity analyzing the behavior of null and time-like geodesic. We find that the structure of the geodesics essentially does not change when the semi-classical effects are included. However, we can distinguish different scenarios if we take into account the effects of rainbow gravity. Depending on the type of rainbow functions under consideration, inertial and external observers see very different situations in radial and non radial motion of a test particles.
We study a set of static solutions of the Einstein equations in presence of a massless scalar field and establish their connection to the Kantowski-Sachs cosmological solutions based on some kind of duality transformations. The physical properties of the limiting case of an empty hyperbolic spacetime (pseudo-Schwarzschild geometry) are analyzed in some detail.
We present a simple spherically symmetric and regular solution of Einstein's equations with two parameters $k$ and $M$, which matches to Schwarzschild's solution, satisfies the weak energy conditions in the interior region and for small $r$ behaves like the de Sitter solution. Its energy density $ρ$ and its radial pressure $p_r$ satisfy the relation $ρ+p_r=0$. For some values of $k/M$ the solution does not have an event horizon and the event horizon of Schwarzschild's solution is inside the matching surface. Therefore it describes the formation of a gravitational soliton, which is shown to be …
In Poincaré gauge theory of gravity and in $\overline{\mbox{Poincaré}}$ gauge theory of gravity, we give the necessary and sufficient condition in order that the Schwarzschild space-time expressed in terms of the Schwarzschild coordinates is obtainable as a torsionless exact solution of gravitational field equations with a spinless point-like source having the energy-momentum density $\widetilde{\mbox{\boldmath $T$}}_μ^{~ν}(x) = - Mc^2 δ_μ^{~0} δ_0^{~ν} δ^{(3)}(\mbox{\boldmath $x$})$. Further, for the case when this condition is satisfied, the energy-momentum and the angular momentum of the Sc…
We continue to study black holes subjected to strong sources of gravity, again paying special attention to the behaviour of geometry in the black-hole interior. After examining, in previous two papers, the deformation arising in the Majumdar-Papapetrou binary of extremally charged black holes and that of a Schwarzschild black hole due to a surrounding (Bach-Weyl) ring, we consider here the system of two Schwarzschild-type black holes held apart by the Appell ring. After verifying that such a configuration can be in a strut-free equilibrium along certain lines in a parameter space, we compute s…
An exact solution is obtained for the gravitational bending of light in static, spherically symmetric metrics which includes the Schwarzschild-de Sitter spacetime and also the Mannheim-Kazanas metric of conformal Weyl gravity. From the exact solution, we obtain a small bending-angle-approximation for a lens system where the source, lens and observer are co-aligned. This expansion improves previous calculations where we systematically avoid parameter ranges that correspond to non-existent null trajectories. The linear coefficient $γ$ characteristic to conformal gravity is shown to contribute en…
In this article we present the quantization process for Schwarzschild space-time in the context of Teleparallel gravity. In order to achieve such a goal we use the Weyl formalism that establishes a well defined correspondence between classical quantities which are realized by functions and quantum ones which are realized by operators. In the process of quantization we introduce a fundamental constant that is used to construct what we call the quantum of matter by the imposition of periodic conditions over the eigenfunction.
We study the equations of conformal gravity, as given by Mannheim, in the weak field limit, so that a linear approximation is adequate. Specializing to static fields with spherical symmetry, we obtain a second-order equation for one of the metric functions. We obtain the Green function for this equation, and represent the metric function in the form of integrals over the source. Near a compact source such as the Sun the solution no longer has Schwarzschild form. We conclude that a solution of Mannheim type cannot exist for these field equations.
Tetrad field, with two unknown functions of radial coordinate and an angle $Φ$ which is the polar angle $ϕ$ times a function of the redial coordinate, is applied to the field equation of modified theory of gravity. Exact vacuum solution is derived whose scalar torsion, $T ={T^α}_{μν} {S_α}^{μν}$, is constant. When the angle $Φ$ coincides with the polar angle $ϕ$, the derived solution will be a solution only for linear form of $f(T)$ gravitational theory.
The analytic expression obtained in the preceding project for the massless conformal scalar propagator in the Hartle-Hawking vacuum state for small values of the Schwarzschild radial coordinate above $ r = 2M$ is analytically extended into the interior of the Schwarzschild black hole. The result of the analytical extension coincides with the exact propagator for a small range of values of the Schwarzschild radial coordinate below $ r = 2M$ and is an analytic expression which manifestly features its dependence on the background space-time geometry. This feature as well as the absence of any ass…
It is known that the standard Schwarzschild interior metric is conformally flat and generates a constant density sphere in any spacetime dimension in Einstein and Einstein--Gauss--Bonnet gravity. This motivates the questions: In EGB does the conformal flatness criterion yield the Schwarzschild metric? Does the assumption of constant density generate the Schwarzschild interior spacetime? The answer to both questions turn out in the negative in general. In the case of the constant density sphere, a generalised Schwarzschild metric emerges. When we invoke the conformal flatness condition the Schw…
Weak field approximate solutions in the Lambda-->0 limit of a model of de Sitter gravity have been presented in the static and spherically symmetric case. Although the model looks different from general relativity, among those solutions, there still exist the weak Schwarzschild fields with the smooth connection to regular internal solutions obeying the Newtonian gravitational law. The existence of such solutions would determine the value of the coupling constant, which is different from that of the previous literature. Moreover, there also exist solutions that could deduce the galactic rotatio…
In this article, we introduce a new effective model for the Kantowski-Sachs spacetime in the context of loop quantum gravity, and we use it to evaluate departures from general relativity in the case of Schwarzschild black hole interior. The model is based on an effective Hamiltonian constructed via the regularized Thiemann identities in the $\bar μ$-scheme. We show that, in contrast with the $μ_o$-scheme studied in [1], the classical limit imposes certain alterations of Thiemann identities as well as restrictions on the choice of regulators. Once we define the Hamiltonian, we derive the equati…
New, simple models of ``black hole interiors'', namely spherically symmetric solutions of the Einstein field equations in matter matching the Schwarzschild vacuum at spacelike hypersurfaces ``R<2M'' are constructed. The models satisfy the weak energy condition and their matter content is specified by an equation of state of the elastic type.
We present the detailed analyses of a model of loop quantum Schwarzschild interior coupled to a massless scalar field and extend the results in our previous rapid communication arXiv:2006.08313 to more general schemes. It is shown that the spectrum of the black hole mass is discrete and does not contain zero. This indicates the existence of a black hole remnant after Hawking evaporation due to loop quantum gravity effects. Besides to show the existence of a stable black hole remnant in the vacuum case, the quantum dynamics for the non-vacuum case is also solved and compared with the effective …
