In this paper, we study the polynomial representation of the double affine Hecke algebra of type $(C^\vee_n, C_n)$ for specialized parameters. Inductively and combinatorially, we give a linear basis of the representation in terms of linear combinations of non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials. The basis consists of generalized eigenfunctions with respect to $q$-Dunkl-Cherednik operators $\hat{Y}_i$, and it gives a way to cancel out poles of non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials. We examine irreducibility and $Y$-semisimplicity of the representation for the specialized parameters. For some cases, we give a characterization of the subrepresentations by vanishing conditions for Laurent polynomials.
We build representations of the affine and double affine braid groups and Hecke algebras of type $C^\vee C_n$, based upon the theory of quantum symmetric pairs $(U,B)$. In the case $U=U_q(gl_N)$, our constructions provide a quantization of the representations constructed by Etingof, Freund and Ma in arXiv:0801.1530, and also a type $BC$ generalization of the results in arXiv:0805.2766.
In this paper, we investigate a connection between convolution products for quiver Hecke algebras and tensor products for quantum groups. We give a categorification of the natural projection $ π_{λ, μ} : V_{\mathbb{A}}(λ)^\vee \otimes_{\mathbb{A}} V_\mathbb{A}(μ)^\vee \twoheadrightarrow V_\mathbb{A}(λ+ μ)^\vee $ sending the tensor product of the highest weight vectors to the highest weight vector in terms of convolution products. When the quiver Hecke algebra is symmetric and the base field is of characteristic $0$, we obtain a positivity condition on some coefficients associated with the proj…
We introduce a class of equivalences, which we call generalized semi-infinite Hecke equivalences, between certain categories of representations of graded associative algebras which appear in the setting of semi-infinite cohomology for associative algebras and categories of representations of related algebras of Hecke type which we call semi-infinite Hecke algebras. As an application we obtain an equivalence between a category of representations of a non-twisted affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak g}$ of level $-2h^\vee-k$, where $h^\vee$ is the dual Coxeter number of the underlying semisimp…
We study a rational version of the double affine Hecke algebra associated to the nonreduced affine root system of type $(C^\vee_n,C_n)$. A certain representation in terms of difference-reflection operators naturally leads to the definition of nonsymmetric versions of the multivariable Wilson polynomials. Using the degenerate Hecke algebra we derive several properties, such as orthogonality relations and quadratic norms, for the nonsymmetric and symmetric multivariable Wilson polynomials.
An inifinite-dimensional representation of the double affine Hecke algebra of rank 1 and type $(C_1^{\vee},C_1)$ in which all generators are tridiagonal is presented. This representation naturally leads to two systems of polynomials that are orthogonal on the unit circle. These polynomials can be considered as circle analogs of the Askey-Wilson polynomials. The corresponding polynomials orthogonal on an interval are constructed and discussed.
We study a Laurent polynomial representation $V$ of the double affine Hecke algebra of type $GL_n$ for specialized parameters $t^{k+1}q^{r-1}=1$. We define a series of subrepresentations of $V$ by using a vanishing condition. For some cases, we give an explicit basis of the subrepresentation in terms of nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials. These results are nonsymmetric versions of \cite{FJMM} and \cite{KMSV}.
Assume that $\mathbb F$ is an algebraically closed field and let $q$ denote a nonzero scalar in $\mathbb F$ that is not a root of unity. The universal DAHA (double affine Hecke algebra) $\mathfrak H_q$ of type $(C_1^\vee,C_1)$ is a unital associative $\mathbb F$-algebra defined by generators and relations. Assume that $\mathbb F$ is an algebraically closed field with characteristic zero. The universal Racah algebra $\Re$ is a unital associative $\mathbb F$-algebra defined by generators and relations. We study a relationship between $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graphs and the double affine Hecke algebra of type $(C^{\vee}_1,C_1)$. Let $Γ$ denote a $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graph with vertex set $X$. We assume that $Γ$ has $q$-Racah type and contains a Delsarte clique $C$. Fix a vertex $x \in C$. We partition $X$ according to the path-length distance to both $x$ and $C$. This is an equitable partition. For each cell in this partition, consider the corresponding characteristic vector. These characteristic vectors form a basis for a $\mathbb{C}$-vector space ${\bf W}$. The universal d…
In this paper we derive a closed formula for the $(\mathbb{Z}\times\mathbb{Z}_2)$-graded dimension of the cyclotomic quiver Hecke superalgebra $R^Λ(β)$ associated to an {\it arbitrary} Cartan superdatum $(A,P,Π,Π^\vee)$, polynomials $(Q_{i,j}({\rm x}_1,{\rm x}_2))_{i,j\in I}$, $β\in Q_n^+$ and $Λ\in P^+$. As applications, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for which $e(ν)\neq 0$ in $R^Λ(β)$. We construct an explicit monomial basis for the bi-weight space $e(\widetildeν)R^Λ(β)e(\widetildeν)$, where $\widetildeν$ is a certain specific $n$-tuple defined in (1.4). In particular, this g…
The most general construction of double affine Artin groups (DAAG) and Hecke algebras (DAHA) associates such objects to pairs of compatible reductive group data. We show that DAAG/DAHA always admit a faithful action by automorphisms of a finite index subgroup of the Artin group of type $A_{2}$, which descends to a faithful outer action of a congruence subgroup of $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})$ or $PSL(2,\mathbb{Z})$. This was previously known only in some special cases and, to the best of our knowledge, not even conjectured to hold in full generality. The structural intricacies of DAAG/DAHA are captured b…
Koornwinder polynomials are $q$-orthogonal polynomials equipped with extra five parameters and the $B C_n$-type Weyl group symmetry, which were introduced by Koornwinder (1992) as multivariate analogue of Askey-Wilson polynomials. They are now understood as the Macdonald polynomials associated to the affine root system of type $(C^\vee_n,C_n)$ via the Macdonald-Cherednik theory of double affine Hecke algebras. In this paper we give explicit formulas of Littlewood-Richardson coefficients for Koornwinder polynomials, i.e., the structure constants of the product as invariant polynomials. Our form…
Let $H$ be the Iwahori-Hecke algebra and let $J$ be Lusztig's asymptotic Hecke algebra, both specialized to type $\tilde{A}_1$. For $\mathrm{SL}_2$, when the parameter $q$ is specialized to a prime power, Braverman and Kazhdan showed recently that a completion of $H$ has codimension two as a subalgebra of a completion of $J$, and described a basis for the quotient in spectral terms. In this note we write these functions explicitly in terms of the basis $\{t_w\}$ of $J$, and further invert the canonical isomorphism between the completions of $H$ and $J$, obtaining explicit formulas for the each…
We study the algebraic properties of the five-parameter family $H(t_1,t_2,t_3,t_4;q)$ of double affine Hecke algebras of type $C^\vee C_1$. This family generalizes Cherednik's double affine Hecke algebras of rank 1. It was introduced by Sahi and studied by Noumi and Stokman as an algebraic structure which controls Askey-Wilson polynomials. We show that if $q=1$, then the spectrum of the center of $H$ is an affine cubic surface $C$, obtained from a projective one by removing a triangle consisting of smooth points. Moreover, any such surface is obtained as the spectrum of the center of $H$ for s…
Let $G$ be a compact, connected Lie group and $T \subset G$ a maximal torus. Let $(M,ω)$ be a monotone closed symplectic manifold equipped with a Hamiltonian action of $G$. We construct a module action of the affine nil-Hecke algebra $\hat{H}_*^{S^1 \times T}(LG/T)$ on the $S^1 \times T$-equivariant quantum cohomology of $M$, $QH^*_{S^1 \times T}(M).$ Our construction generalizes the theory of shift operators for Hamiltonian torus actions [OP,LJ]. We show that, as in the abelian case, this action behaves well with respect to the quantum connection. As an application of our construction, we sho…

We consider the polynomial representation of Double Affine Hecke Algebras (DAHAs) and construct its submodules as ideals of functions vanishing on the special collections of affine planes. This generalizes certain results of Kasatani in types A_n, (C_n^\vee,C_n). We obtain commutative algebras of difference operators given by the action of invariant combinations of Cherednik-Dunkl operators in the corresponding quotient modules of the polynomial representation. This gives known and new generalized Macdonald-Ruijsenaars systems. Thus in the cases of DAHAs of types A_n and (C_n^\vee,C_n) we deri…
Assume that $\mathbb F$ is an algebraically closed field and let $q$ denote a nonzero scalar in $\mathbb F$ that is not a root of unity. We introduce an algebra $\mathcal H$ consisting of difference-reflection operators and multiplication operators that can be considered as a $q=1$ analogue of Sahi's double affine Hecke algebra related to the affine root system of type $(C^\vee_1, C_1)$. We study eigenfunctions of a Dunkl-Cherednik-type operator in the algebra $\mathcal H$, and the corresponding Fourier transforms. These eigenfunctions are non-symmetric versions of the Wilson polynomials and the Wilson functions.
We employ a discrete integral-reflection representation of the double affine Hecke algebra of type $C^\vee C$ at the critical level q=1, to endow the open finite $q$-boson system with integrable boundary interactions at the lattice ends. It is shown that the Bethe Ansatz entails a complete basis of eigenfunctions for the commuting quantum integrals in terms of Macdonald's three-parameter hyperoctahedral Hall-Littlewood polynomials.
Chinta and Gunnells introduced a rather intricate multi-parameter Weyl group action on rational functions on a torus, which, when the parameters are specialized to certain Gauss sums, describes the functional equations of Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series associated to metaplectic (n-fold) covers of algebraic groups. In subsequent joint work with Puskas, they extended this action to a "metaplectic" representation of the equal parameter affine Hecke algebra, which allowed them to obtain explicit formulas for the p-parts of these Dirichlet series. They have also verified by a computer check t…
Let $G$ be a finite group of Lie type. In studying the cross-characteristic representation theory of $G$, the (specialized) Hecke algebra $H=\End_G(\ind_B^G1_B)$ has played a important role. In particular, when $G=GL_n(\mathbb F_q)$ is a finite general linear group, this approach led to the Dipper-James theory of $q$-Schur algebras $A$. These algebras can be constructed over $\sZ:=\mathbb Z[t,t^{-1}]$ as the $q$-analog (with $q=t^2$) of an endomorphism algebra larger than $H$, involving parabolic subgroups. The algebra $A$ is quasi-hereditary over $\sZ$. An analogous algebra, still denoted $A$…
Singular nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials are constructed by use of the representation theory of the Hecke algebras of the symmetric groups. These polynomials are labeled by quasistaircase partitions and are associated to special parameter values $(q,t)$. For $N$ variables, there are singular polynomials for any pair of positive integers $m$ and $n$, with $2\leq n\leq N$, and parameters values $(q,t)$ satisfying $q^{a}t^{b}=1$ exactly when $a=rm$ and $b=rn$, for some integer $r$. The coefficients of nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials with respect to the basis of monomials $\big\{ x^α\big\}$ …
