In this paper we study the metastable behavior of one of the simplest disordered spin system, the random field Curie-Weiss model. We will show how the potential theoretic approach can be used to prove sharp estimates on capacities and metastable exit times also in the case when the distribution of the random field is continuous. Previous work was restricted to the case when the random field takes only finitely many values, which allowed the reduction to a finite dimensional problem using lumping techniques. Here we produce the first genuine sharp estimates in a context where entropy is important.
We extend the main theorem of arXiv:1301.6911 about the fluctuations in the Curie-Weiss model of SOC. We present a short proof using the Hubbard-Stratonovich transformation with the self-normalized sum of the random variables.
We discuss a Curie-Weiss model with two groups in the critical regime. This is the region where the central limit theorem does not hold any more but the mean magnetization still goes to zero as the number of spins grows. We show that the total magnetization normalized by $N^{3/4}$ converges to a non-trivial distribution which is not Gaussian, just as in the single-group Curie-Weiss model.
We analyze the Glauber dynamics for a bi-populated Curie-Weiss model. We obtain the limiting behavior of the empirical averages in the limit of infinitely many particles. We then characterize the phase space of the model in absence of magnetic field and we show that several phase transitions in the inter-groups interaction strength occur.
In this paper we study the moderate deviations for the magnetization of critical Curie-Weiss model. Chen, Fang and Shao considered a similar problem for non-critical model by using Stein method. By direct and simple arguments based on Laplace method, we provide an explicit formula of the error and deduce a Cramér-type result.
We build and study a multidimensional version of the Curie-Weiss model of self-organized criticality we have designed in arXiv:1301.6911. For symmetric distributions satisfying some integrability condition, we prove that the sum $S_n$ of the randoms vectors in the model has a typical critical behaviour. We study a multi-group version of the mean-field or Curie-Weiss spin model. For this model, we show how, analogously to the classical (single-group) model, the three temperature regimes are defined. Then we use the method of moments to determine for each regime how the vector of the group magnetisations behaves asymptotically. Some possible applications to social or political sciences are discussed.
We define a multi-group version of the mean-field spin model, also called Curie-Weiss model. In this paper, we introduce a Markov process whose unique invariant distribution is the Curie-Weiss model of self-organized criticality (SOC) we designed in arXiv:1301.6911. In the Gaussian case, we prove rigorously that it is a dynamical model of SOC: the fluctuations of the sum $S_{n}(\,\cdot\,)$ of the process evolve in a time scale of order $\sqrt{n}$ and in a space scale of order $n^{3/4}$ and the limiting process is the solution of a "critical" stochastic differential equation.
This paper studies a generalization of the Curie-Weiss model (the Ising model on a complete graph) to quantum mechanics. Using a natural probabilistic representation of this model, we give a complete picture of the phase diagram of the model in the parameters of inverse temperature and transverse field strength. Further analysis computes the critical exponent for the decay of the order parameter in the approach to the critical curve and gives useful stability properties of a variational problem associated with the representation.

We study the metastable minima of the Curie-Weiss Potts model with three states, as a function of the inverse temperature, and for arbitrary vector-valued external fields. Extending the classic work of Ellis/Wang and Wang we use singularity theory to provide the global structure of metastable (or local) minima. In particular, we show that the free energy has up to four local minimizers (some of which may at the same time be global) and describe the bifurcation geometry of their transitions under variation of the parameters.
Hochstättler, Kirsch, and Warzel showed that the semicircle law holds for generalized Curie-Weiss matrix ensembles at or above the critical temperature. We extend their result to the case of subcritical temperatures for which the correlations between the matrix entries are stronger. The Curie-Weiss model with dynamic external field is related to the so called dynamic Z-random walks. We also prove a moderate deviation result for the dynamic Z-random walk, completing the list of limit theorems for this object.

In this contribution we give a pedagogic introduction to the newly introduced adaptive interpolation method to prove in a simple and unified way replica formulas for Bayesian optimal inference problems. We consider the Curie-Weiss Widom-Rowlinson model for particles with spins and holes, with a repulsion strength beta between particles of opposite spins. We provide a closed solution of the model, and investigate dynamical Gibbs-non-Gibbs transitions for the time-evolved model under independent stochastic symmetric spin-flip dynamics. We show that, for sufficiently large beta after a transition time, continuously many bad empirical measures appear. These lie on (unions of) curves on the simplex whose time-evolution we describe.

We consider the Curie-Weiss Potts model in zero external field under independent symmetric spin-flip dynamics. We investigate dynamical Gibbs-non-Gibbs transitions for a range of initial inverse temperatures beta<3, which covers the phase transition point beta=4 log 2 [8]. We show that finitely many types of trajectories of bad empirical measures appear, depending on the parameter beta, with a possibility of re-entrance into the Gibbsian regime, of which we provide a full description.
We study the inhomogeneous Curie-Weiss model with external field, where the inhomogeneity is introduced by adding a positive weight to every vertex and letting the interaction strength between two vertices be proportional to the product of their weights. In this model, the sum of the spins obeys a central limit theorem outside the critical line. We derive a Berry-Esseen rate of convergence for this limit theorem using Stein's method for exchangeable pairs. In this paper, we modify the Langevin dynamics associated to the generalized Curie-Weiss model by introducing noisy and dissipative evolution in the interaction potential. We extend results on quadratic pressure and convergence of Gibbs mesures from previous joined work of the authors to the Curie-Weiss-Potts model. We define the notion of equilibrium state for the quadratic pressure and show that under some conditions on the maxima for some auxiliary function, the Gibbs measure converges to a convex combination of eigen-measures for the Transfer Operator. This extension works for dynamical systems defined by {infinite-to-one} maps. As an example, we compute the equilibrium for {the mean-field} $XY$ model as the number of particles goes to $+\infty$.
