Nondiffracting beams for vortex tomography

We propose a reconstruction of vortex beams based on the implementation of quadratic transformations in the orbital angular momentum. The information is encoded in a superposition of Bessel-like nondiffracting beams. The measurement of the angular probability distribution at different positions allows for the reconstruction of the Wigner function.

A full-vortex flux qubit for charged particle optics

We introduce a design of a superconducting flux qubit capable of holding a full magnetic flux quantum $ϕ_{0}$, which arguably is an essential property for applications in charged particle optics. The qubit comprises a row of $N$ constituent qubits, which hold a fractional magnetic flux quantum $ϕ_{0}/N$. Insights from physics of the transverse-field Ising chain reveal that properly designed interaction between these constituent qubits enables their collective behavior while also maintaining the overall quantumness.

Optical vortex driven charge current loop and optomagnetism in fullerenes

Endohedral molecular magnets, e.g. as realized in fullerenes containing $\rm DySc_{2}N$, are promising candidates for molecular electronics and quantum information processing. For their functionalization an ultrafast local magnetization control is essential. Vortex Turbulence in Linear Schroedinger Wave Mechanics

Quantum turbulence that exhibits vortex creation, annihilation and interactions is demonstrated as an exact solution of the time-dependent, free-particle Schrödinger equation evolved from a smooth random-phased initial condition. Relaxed quantum turbulence in 2D and 3D exhibits universal scaling in the steady-state energy spectrum as k-1 in small scales.
