Combined analysis of recent measured $\bs$ mixing and $B \to X_s γ$ decays provides constraints on the anomalous $\bar{t}sW$ couplings. We discuss the perspectives to examine the anomalous $\bar{t}sW$ couplings through CKM-suppressed $ t \to s W$ decays at the LHC.
We explore the effects of the anomalous $tbW$ couplings on the $\bd$ mixing and recently measured $\bs$ mixing. The combined analysis of mixings via box diagrams with penguin decays provides strong constraints on the anomalous top quark couplings. We find the bound from the $\bd$ mixing data is stronger than that from the $\bs$ mixing.
We study the the electroweak symmetry breaking induced by the interaction of unparticles and the SM Higgs with an additional complex scalar. Furthermore, we estimate the contribution of the mixing scalars on the muon anomalous magnetic moment. We observe that this contribution is at least two order less than the discrepancy between the experimental and the SM results of the muon anomalous magnetic moment.
The new contributions to the electron (muon) anomalous magnetic moment arising in mirror fermion theories have been calculated. Imposing the experimental constraint lowers the current upper bound on the ordinary - mirror lepton mixing angles by a factor of 50 making predictions for mirror lepton production at HERA undetectably small. A way out is to allow for different mixing angles of the L and R field components. Choosing very small right mixing angles compatibility with the anomalous magnetic moment measurement may be easily maintained, while choosing left mixing angles close to the upper l…
By supplementing supersymmetric SO(10) with an anomalous ${\cal U}(1)$ flavor symmetry and additional `matter' superfields carrying suitable ${\cal U}(1)$ charges, we explain the charged fermion mass hierarchies, the magnitudes of the CKM matrix elements, as well as the solar and atmospheric neutrino data. We stress bi-maximal vacuum neutrino mixings, and indicate how the small or large mixing angle MSW solution can be incorporated. The ${\cal U}(1)$ symmetry also implies that $τ_{p\to Kν}[SO(10)]\sim (10-100)\cdot τ_{p\to Kν}[{\rm minimal}~SU(5)]$.
We consider the gauging of $L_μ- L_τ$ as an explanation of a possibly large muon anomalous magnetic moment. We then show how neutrino masses with bimaximal mixing may be obtained in this framework. We study the novel phenomenology of the associated gauge boson in the context of present and future high-energy collider experiments.
We present a scenario which naturally provides bi-maximal neutrino mixings for a simultaneous explanation of the recent atmospheric and solar neutrino data. A crucial role is played by an anomalous flavor ${\cal U}(1)$ symmetry, which is also important for a natural understanding of charged fermion mass hierarchies and magnitudes of the CKM matrix elements. Within MSSM the solar neutrino problem can be resolved either through vacuum oscillations or the large mixing angle MSW solution. In supersymmetric GUTs such as SU(5) and SO(10) the MSW solution is realized. If the flavor ${\cal U}(1)$ also…
We analyse the sensitivities of exclusive one-prong tau branching fractions to: the tau neutrino mass; its mixing with a fourth generation neutrino; the weak charged current magnetic and electric dipole moments of the tau; and the Michel parameter $η$. Quantitative constraints are derived from current experimental data and the future constraints derivable from tau-charm factory measurements are estimated. The anomalous coupling constraints are used to constrain the tau compositeness scale and the allowed parameter space for Higgs doublet models.
We describe how bi-maximal neutrino mixing can be realized in realistic models based on MSSM and SUSY GUTs such as SU(5) and SO(10). A crucial role is played by an anomalous ${\cal U}(1)$ flavor symmetry, which also helps understand the observed charged fermion mass hierarchies and the magnitudes of the CKM matrix elements. While in MSSM a variety of solutions for the solar neutrino puzzle are possible, SUSY SU(5) and SO(10) only permit the large mixing angle MSW solution. Models in which the ${\cal U}(1)$ symmetry also mediates SUSY breaking allow both the large mixing angle and the low MSW s…
In an effective lagrangian approach [EM97] to new physics, the authors in ref. [HL99] pushed tau anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments (AMDM and EDM) down to $10^{-11}$ and $10^{-25} e cm$ by using a Fritzsch-Xing lepton mass matrix ansatz. In this note, we find that, in this approach, there exists the connection between $τ$ AMDM and EDM and the lepton flavor mixing matrix. By using the current neutrino oscillation experimental results, we investigate the parameter space of lepton mixing angles to $τ$ AMDM and EDM. We can obtain the same or smaller bounds of $δa_τ$ and $d_τ$ acquired …
We use recent experimental measurements of tau branching fractions to determine the weak charged current magnetic and electric dipole moments of the tau and the Michel parameter $η$ with unprecedented precision. These results are then used to constrain the tau compositeness scale and the allowed parameter space for Higgs doublet models. We also present new constraints on the mass of the tau neutrino and its mixing with a fourth generation neutrino.
There exist experimental hints from the B sector for CP violation beyond the Standard Model (SM) CKM paradigm. An anomalous dimuon asymmetry was reported by the D0 collaboration, while tension exists between $B \to τν$ and $S_{ψK}$. These measurements, disfavoring the SM at the ~3$σ$ level, can be explained by new physics in both $B_d$-$\bar{B}_d$ and $B_s$- $\bar{B}_s$ mixing, arising from (1) new bosonic degrees of freedom at or near the electroweak scale, and (2) new, large CP-violating phases. These two new physics ingredients are precisely what is required for electroweak baryogenesis to …
The experimental data on atmospheric and solar neutrinos are used to test the framework of non-anomalous Abelian horizontal gauge symmetries with only three light active neutrinos. We assume that the hierarchy in mass-squared splittings is not accidental and that the small breaking parameters are not considerably larger than 0.2. We find that the small angle MSW solution of the solar neutrino problem can only be accommodated if the $ν_μ-ν_τ$ mass hierarchy depends on the charges of at least three sterile neutrinos. The large angle MSW solution can be accommodated in simpler models if $ν_e$ and…
The observed hierarchy of quark and lepton masses and mixings may be obtained by adding an abelian family symmetry to the Minimal Supersymmetric Model and coupling quarks and leptons to an electroweak singlet scalar field. In a large class of such models, this symmetry suffers from anomalies which must be compensated by the Green-Schwarz mechanism; this in turn fixes the electroweak mixing angle to be $\sin^2 θ_W = 3/8$ at the string scale, without any assumed GUT structure. The analysis is extended to two distinct generalisations of the Standard Model: neutrino masses and mixings and R-parity…
We study the lightest masses in the fermionic sector of an anomalous $U(1)'$ extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model inspired by brane constructions. The LSP of this model is an XWIMP (extremely weak interaction particle) which is shown to have a relic density satisfying WMAP data. This computation is carried out numerically after having adapted the DarkSUSY package to our case.
Phenomenological implications of the anomalous baryon current in the Standard Model are discussed, in particular neutrino-photon interactions at finite baryon density. A pedagogical derivation of the baryon current anomaly is given.
By reanalyzing the influence of the anomalous $Z\bar t t$ couplings on the $Z\rightarrow b\bar b$ decay process, we pointed out the ambiguity in the conventional treatment of the effective Lagrangian approach, because of the possible existence of large contributions given by constant terms beyond the leading cutoff dependent term.
Recently observed anomalies in the $B_s \to J/ψϕ$ decay and the like-sign dimuon asymmetry $A^b_{sl}$ hint at possible new physics (NP) in the $\bsbsbar$ mixing. We parameterize the NP with four model-independent quantities: the magnitudes and phases of the dispersive part $M_{12}$ and the absorptive part $Γ_{12}$ of the NP contribution to the effective Hamiltonian. We constrain these parameters using the four observables $ΔM_s$, $ΔΓ_s$, the mixing phase $β_s^{J/ψϕ}$, and $A^b_{sl}$. Our quantitative fit indicates that the NP should contribute a significant dispersive as well as absorptive par…
We consider supersymmetric unification based on the gauge symmetry SU(3)_C\times SU(3)_L\times SU(3)_R supplemented by an anomalous U(1)_A gauge symmetry. Realistic fermion masses and mixings are realized, including large mixings in the neutrino sector. We also consider the supersymmetric flavor problem, gauge coupling unification and proton decay. The dominant proton decay mode is expected to be p-> e^+π^0 and the lifetime is estimated to be \sim 10^{34}-10^{35} years.
New physics at high energy scale often contributes to K-\bar K and D-\bar D mixings in an approximately SU(2)_L invariant way. In such a case, the combination of measurements in these two systems is particularly powerful. The resulting constraints can be expressed in terms of misalignments and flavor splittings.
The production of $ν\barν γγ$ in high-energy $e^+e^-$ collisions offers a window on anomalous quartic gauge boson couplings. We investigate the effect of two possible anomalous couplings on the cross section for $ν\barν γγ$ production via $WW$-fusion at LEP2 ($\sqrt{s} = 200$ GeV).
The recent measurement of the like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry in semileptonic b-hadron decays by the D0 Collaboration is about 3 sigmas away from the standard-model prediction, hinting at the presence of CP-violating new physics in the mixing of B_s mesons. We consider the possibility that this anomalous result arises from the contribution of a light spin-1 particle. Taking into account various experimental constraints, we find that the effect of such a particle with mass below the b-quark mass can yield a prediction consistent with the anomalous D0 measurement within its one-sigma range.
It is shown, that specific properties of the instanton induced interaction between quarks leads to the anomalous violation of the OZI-rule in the $N\bar N\to ΦΦ$, $N\bar N\to Φγ$ reactions. In the framework of instanton model of the QCD vacuum, the energy dependence of the cross sections of these reactions is calculated.
Using a recently proposed gauge covariant diagonalization of $πa_1$-mixing we show that the low energy theorem $F^π=e f_π^2 F^{3π}$ of current algebra, relating the anomalous form factor $F_{γ\to π^+π^0π^-} = F^{3π}$ and the anomalous neutral pion form factor $F_{π^0 \to γγ}=F^π$, is fulfilled in the framework of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model, solving a long standing problem encountered in the extension including vector and axial-vector mesons. At the heart of the solution is the presence of a $γπ{\bar q} q $ vertex which is absent in the conventional treatment of diagonalization and lead…
We have studied the lightest masses in the fermionic sector of an anomalous $U(1)'$ extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) inspired by brane constructions. The LSP of this model is an XWIMP (extremely weak interaction particle). We have studied its relic density in the cases in which there is mixing with the neutralinos of the MSSM and in the case in which there is not such mixing. We have showed that this extended model can satisfy the WMAP data. To perform this calculation we have modified the DarkSUSY package.
We investigate the potential of a high-energy $γγ$ collider to detect an anomalous $\bar t q γ$ coupling from observation of the reaction $γγ\to t\bar q$, $\bar t q$, where $q=c$ or $u$. We find that with $b$-tagging and suitable kinematic cuts this process should be observable if the anomalous coupling $κ/Λ$ is no less than about 0.05/TeV, where $Λ$ is the scale of new physics associated with the anomalous interaction. This improves upon the bound possible from observation of top decays at the Tevatron.
We present results on the two-loop anomalous dimensions of the heavy baryon HQET currents $J=(q^TCΓτq)Γ'Q$ with arbitrary Dirac matrices $Γ$ and $Γ'$. From our general result we obtain the two-loop anomalous dimensions for currents with quantum numbers of the ground state heavy baryons $Λ_Q$, $Σ_Q$ and $Σ_Q^*$. As a by-product of our calculation and as an additional check we rederive the known two-loop anomalous dimensions of mesonic scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, axial vector and tensor currents $(J=\bar qΓq)$ in massless QCD as well as in HQET.
Based on a valence-quark picture of large Nc baryons, I describe in some detail the 1/Nc power counting for decays and spin-flavor configuration mixings in baryons.
We calculate the complete three-loop O(alpha_s^3) anomalous dimension matrix for the dimension-five dipole operators that arise in the Standard Model after integrating out the top quark and the heavy electroweak bosons. Our computation completes the three-loop anomalous dimension matrix of operators that govern low-energy |Delta F| = 1 flavor-changing processes, and represents an important ingredient of the next-to-next-to-leading order QCD analysis of the Bbar -> X_s gamma decay.
A review of the results on B^0- \bar {\rm B^0} mixing and b-lifetimes obtained by CDF, LEP and SLD collaborations is presented with special emphasis on B^0_s- \bar {{\rm B}^0_s} mixing.
We investigate the anomalous $W^+W^-γ$ couplings through the process $e^-e^+\,\rightarrow\,ν_e\barν_eγ$ for unpolarized and polarized electron (positron) beams at the International Linear Collider. We give the 95$\%$ Confidence Level limits on the anomalous couplings with and without the systematic uncertainties for various values of center-of-mass energies and the integrated luminosities. We show that the obtained limits on the anomalous couplings through the process $e^-e^+\,\rightarrow\,ν_e\barν_eγ$ can highly improve the current experimental limits.
A brief description of the library of the Standard Model and anomalous WWgamma coupling contribution to the matrix element for e+e- -> ν\barν nγprocess is given. It can be used with any Monte Carlo program for e+e- -> f \bar f nγprocesses. A working example of the application for the KORALZ version 4.04 is also provided.
In terms of an effective Lagrangian we investigate the possibilities of probing anomalous top quark couplings, $t \bar{t} H$, $γt \bar{t}$, $Z t \bar{t}$ and $tWb$ at the future linear colliders. It is found that probing anomalous top quark couplings, $t \bar{t} H$, $γt \bar{t}$, $Z t \bar{t}$ and $tWb$ at the future linear colliders. It is found that at a linear collider with a c.m.energy $\sqrt s \sim 0.5-1.5$ TeV and a high luminosity of 10-1000 fb$^{-1}$, $e^+e^- \to t \bar{t} H$ is an ideal process in probing anomalous $t \bar t H$ couplings. We also study in detail the effects of anomalo…
The D0 Collaboration has reported an excess of roughly one percent of $μ^- μ^-$ pairs over $μ^+ μ^+$ pairs in $\bar p p$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$ GeV at the Fermilab Tevatron, when known backgrounds are subtracted. This excess, if ascribed to CP violation in meson-antimeson mixing of non-strange or strange neutral $B$ mesons, is about 40 times that expected in the Standard Model (SM). We propose a null test, based on a tight restriction on the muon impact parameter $b$, to confirm that this excess is indeed due to $B$ mesons. If the asymmetry is due to anomalous …
By using $\k$-factorization, we derive resummation formulas for the non-abelian $q\bar{q}$ contributions to both heavy flavour production by gluon fusion, and to the next-to-leading BFKL kernel. By combining this result with previous ones by Fadin et al. on the virtual terms, we also compute in closed form the complete $q\bar{q}$ contribution to the gluon anomalous dimension in the $Q_0$-scheme. We find that $q\bar{q}$ resummation effects are important for heavy flavour production, but are instead small in the anomalous dimension eigenvalues, because of a cancellation between abelian and non a…
The process $e^+e^- \to τ\barτγ$ contains configurations of the four-momenta for which the scattering amplitude vanishes (Radiation Zeros or Null Zone). These Radiation Zeros only occur for couplings given by a gauge theory, in particular the standard model. Therefore they are sensitive to physics beyond the standard model as the anomalous magnetic and weak moment of the $τ$ lepton. In this article we compute the effect of these anomalous interactions on the Radiation Zeros in the above mentioned process.
We present analytical results on the two-loop anomalous dimensions of currents for baryons, containing two heavy quarks $J = [Q^{iT}CΓτQ^j]Γ' q^kε_{ijk}$ with arbitrary Dirac matrices $Γ$ and $Γ'$ in the framework of NRQCD in the leading order over both the relative velocity of heavy quarks and the inverse heavy quark mass. It is shown, that in this approximation the anomalous dimensions do not depend on the Dirac structure of the current under consideration.
Motivated by the recently observed anomalous large dimuon charge asymmetry in neutral B decays and the unexpected large CP phase in the mixing-induced CP asymmetry for B_s-->J/ψϕdecay, we study the effects of the anomalous tensor couplings to pursue possible solution. With the constraints from the obsevables ϕ^{J/ψϕ}_s, a_{sl}^s and ΔM_s, the parameter spaces are severely restricted. Numerically, we find the anomalies in B_s^0-\bar{B}_s^0 mixing system could be moderated simultaneously by the contributions induced by the color-singlet or color-octet tensor operators with their respective nontr…
Motivated by the large mixing angle solutions for the atmospheric and solar neutrino anomalies, flavor changing neutral current processes and lepton flavor violating processes as well as the muon anomalous magnetic moment are analyzed in the framework of SU(5) SUSY GUT with right-handed neutrino. In order to explain realistic mass relations for quarks and leptons, we take into account effects of higher dimensional operators above the GUT scale. It is shown that the supersymmetric (SUSY) contributions to the CP violation parameter in $K^0-\bar{K}^0$ mixing, $ε_K$, the $μ\to e γ$ branching ratio…
Assuming the small entries in the mass matrices are produced by fermion-scalar loops, we calculate the anomalous dipole moments of the leptons and quarks. The top quark appears in all the loops as the mass seed. When comparing the results with experimental data, including electric and magnetic dipole moments, and radiative transition rates, we obtain the mass limits which are typically larger than .1 TeV for the relevant neutral scalars, and 70 TeV for the relevant lepto-quarks. We then discuss the $P-\bar P$ mixing with a toy model. Rates of the known mixings require the masses of some neutra…
We study the anomalous cross-section lineshape of $e^+e^-\rightarrow D\bar D$ with an effective field theory. Near the threshold, most of the $D\bar D$ pairs are from the decay of $ψ(3770)$. Taking into account the fact that the nonresonance background is dominated by the $ψ(2S)$ transition, the produced $D\bar D$ pair can undergo final-state interactions before the pair is detected. We propose an effective field theory for the low-energy $D\bar D$ interactions to describe these final-state interactions and find that the anomalous lineshape of the $D\bar D$ cross section observed by the BESII …
We show that a search for $e^+ e^- \to t \bar q$ $(\bar q = \bar c, \bar u)$ events at LEP--2 collider provide a possibility to improve significantly the modern constraints on coupling constants of anomalous $t$--quark interaction via flavor--changing neutral currents.
We compute the soft anomalous dimension (SAD) matrices for production of massive quarks $Q$ and $\bar{Q}$ in association with a gluon jet, from massless quarks $q$ and antiquarks $\bar{q}$: $q\bar{q}\rightarrow Q\bar{Q}g$, and in the gluon scattering $gg\rightarrow Q\bar{Q}g$. To analyze the behaviour of the eigenvalues of SAD matrices we perform numerical studies of their eigensystems at two special kinematical configurations.
We propose a $B-L$ model combined with the $S_4\times Z_3\times Z_4$ discrete symmetry which successfully explains the recent $3+1$ sterile - active neutrino data. The smallness of neutrino mass is obtained through the type-I seesaw mechanism. The active-active and sterile-active neutrino mixing angles are predicted to be consistent with the recent constraints in which $0.3401\, (0.3402) \leq \sin^2θ_{12}\leq 0.3415\, (0.3416), \, 0.456\, (0.433) \leq \sin^2θ_{23}\leq 0.544\, (0.545), \, 2.00\, (2.018) \leq 10^2\times \sin^2θ_{13}\leq 2.405\, (2.424),\,\, 156 \, (140.8) \leq δ^{(\circ)}_{CP}\l…
We calculate tree-level cross-sections for $W^{+}γ$ and $W^{+}W^{-}$ production in proton-antiproton collisions, with one $W$ decaying to leptons, with anomalous electroweak triple-boson coupling parameters $Δκ$ and $λ$. We compare the unpolarized cross-sections to those for a polarized proton beam, to study how a polarized proton beam would improve experimental tests of anomalous couplings.
The contributions from the Ochanomizu CP Study Group to the KEK meetings on "CP violation and its origin" (1993-1997) are summarized on electroweak baryogenesis and anomalous W-boson couplings. We survey planned new experiments which could examine some aspects studied in our contributions. We also discuss several issues on baryogenesis. Ten problems are presented for further studies.
In this article, we assume that the narrow structure X(4350) is a scalar $\bar{c}c-{D}_s^\ast {\bar {D}}_s^\ast$ mixing state, and study its mass using the QCD sum rules. The numerical result $M_X=(4.37\pm0.15)\,\rm{GeV}$ is in good agreement with the experimental data, the X(4350) may be a scalar $\bar{c}c-{D}_s^\ast {\bar {D}}_s^\ast$ mixing state. Other possibility, such as a scalar (tensor) $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark state is not excluded.
The search for $D^0\bar{D}^0$ mixing may carry a large discovery potential for new physics since the $D^0\bar{D}^0$ mixing rate is expected to be small in the Standard Model. This paper gives a brief review of the experimental techniques which can be used to search for $D^0\bar{D}^0$ mixing in the future. Some ideas, applicable to future mixing searches at hadron machines (such as Tevatron and LHC), and fixed target experiments (such as HEAR-B) are introduced.
We analyze in the four-generation model the first measurement of the branching ratio of rare kaon decay $K^+\toπ^+ν\bar{nu}$, along with the other processes of $K_L-K_S$ mass difference $Δm_K$, CP-violating parameter $ε_K, B_d-\bar{B_d}$ mixing, $B_s-\bar{B_s}$ mixing, $B(K_L\toμ\barμ)$, and the upper bound values of $D^0-\bar{D^0}$ mixing and $B(K_L\toπ^0ν\barν)$, and try to search for mixing of the fourth generation in the hierarchical mixing scheme of the Wolfenstein parametrization. Using the results for the mixing of the fourth generation, we discuss predictions of the $D^0-\bar{D^0}$ mix…
We propose an ultimate upgrade of the Karl- Sehgal (KS) formula which relates baryon magnetic moments to the spin structure of constituent quarks, by adding anomalous magnetic moments of quarks. We first argue that relativistic nature of quarks inside baryons requires introduction of two kinds of magnetisms, one axial and the other tensoriel. The first one is associated with integrated quark helicity distributions(standard) and the second with integrated transversity distributions . The weight of each contribution is controlled by the combination of two parameters, the ratio of the quark mass …
We analyze the quantum consistency of anomalous abelian models and of their effective field theories, rendered anomaly-free by a Wess-Zumino term, in the case of multiple abelian symmetries. These models involve the combined Higgs-Stuckelberg mechanism and predict a pseudoscalar axion-like field that mixes with the goldstones of the ordinary Higgs sector. We focus our study on the issue of unitarity of these models both before and after spontaneous symmetry breaking and detail the set of Ward identities and the organization of the loop expansion in the effective theory. The analysis is perform…
Complementing the presentations, at this conference, of the first experimental evidence for $D$ mixing found at BaBar and Belle, I discuss the theoretical status of $D$ mixing.
We reconsider models of fermion masses and mixings based on a gauge anomalous horizontal U(1) symmetry. In the simplest model with a single flavon field and horizontal charges of the same sign for all Standard Model fields, only very few charge assignements are allowed when all experimental data, including neutrino oscillation data, is taken into account. We show that a precise description of the observed fermion masses and mixing angles can easily be obtained by generating sets of the order one parameters left unconstrained by the U(1) symmetry. The corresponding Yukawa matrices show several …
This talk presents details of the calculation of two-loop corrections to heavy baryon currents containing one heavy quark in leading order of the $1/m_Q$-expansion, i.e. in the limit of Heavy Quark Symmetry (HQS). The calculations lead to the determination of the anomalous dimension of these currents. I also discuss problems with different $γ_5$-schemes and their solution by the finite renormalization procedure.
We examine the $Ξ_Q - Ξ'_Q$ mixing and heavy baryon masses in the heavy quark effective theory with the $\mq$ corrections. In the conventional baryon assignment, we obtain the mixing angle $\cos^2 θ= 0.87\pm 0.03$ in virtue of the Gell-Mann-Okubo mass relation. On the other hand, if we adopt the new baryon assignment given by Falk, the allowed region of the $Σ_c$ mass is upper from 2372 MeV.
We explore the impact of topflavour model to $B-\bar{B}$ mixings and rare decays of $B$ mesons. By the flavour-changing neutral current interactions of this model, the $B-\bar{B}$ mixing amplitudes are substantially affected while it is hard to investigate the effects on rare decays. Violation of the unitarity of the CKM matrix is also discussed. We find that the bound on $|V_{td}|$ can be stronger in this model by combining the experimental bound of the $B-\bar{B}$ mixing and the bound from violated unitarity.
The neutral kaon meson mixing plays an important role in test of the Standard Model (SM) and new physics beyond it. Scale invariant unparticle physics induces a flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) transition of $K^0-\bar K^0$ oscillation at the tree level. In this study, we investigate the scale invariant unparticle physics effects on the $K^0-\bar K^0$ mixing. Based on the current experimental data, we give constraints of $K^0-\bar K^0$ mixing on the unparticle parameters.
From the present limits on the masses and mixings of fourth family quarks, they are expected to have mass larger than the top quark and allow a large range of mixing of the third family. They could also have different dynamics than the quarks of three families of the Standard Model. The single production of the fourth family up type quark t' has been studied via anomalous production process pp-> t'VX (where V=g,Z,γ) at the LHC with the center of mass energy of 7 and 14 TeV. The signatures of such process are discussed within both the SM decay modes and anomalous decay modes of t' quarks. The s…
We discuss the lepton sector of a realistic string-inspired model based on the Pati-Salam $SU(4)\times SU(2)_L \times SU(2)_R$ gauge group supplemented by a U(1) family symmetry. The model involves third family Yukawa unification, predicts large $\tan β\sim 50$, and describes all fermion masses and mixing angles, including approximate bi-maximal mixing in the neutrino sector. Atmospheric neutrino mixing is achieved via a large 23 entry in the neutrino Yukawa matrix which can have important phenomenological effects. We find that the recent BNL result on the muon ($g-2$) can be easily accommodat…
We perform an analysis on ${B^0} - {{\bar B}^0}$ mixing in the extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries (BLMSSM) by using the effective Hamiltonian method. And the constraint of a 125 GeV Higgs to the parameter space has also been consid-ered. The numerical results indicate that the contributions of the extra particles can be sizeable in ${B^0} - {{\bar B}^0}$ mixing. For certain parameter sets, the theoretical prediction of mass differences $Δm_{B}$ agrees with the current experimental result. Furthermore, ${B^0} - {{\ba…
