Pure Spinor Partition Function Using Pade Approximants

In a recent paper, the partition function (character) of ten-dimensional pure spinor worldsheet variables was calculated explicitly up to the fifth mass-level. In this letter, we propose a novel application of Pade approximants as a tool for computing the character of pure spinors. We get results up to the twelfth mass-level. This work is a first step towards an explicit construction of the complete pure spinor partition function.

Cubic interaction term for Schnabl's solution using Pade approximants

We evaluate the cubic interaction term in the action of open bosonic string field theory for Schnabl's solution written in terms of Bernoulli numbers. This computation provides us with a new evidence for the fact that the string field equation of motion is satisfied when it is contracted with the solution itself.

Pade Approximants and Borel Summation for QCD Perturbation Expansions

We study the applicability of Pade Approximants (PA) to estimate a "sum" of asymptotic series of the type appearing in QCD. We indicate that one should not expect PA to converge for positive values of the coupling constant and propose to use PA for the Borel transform of the series. Cosmological Applications of Pade Approximant

As is well known, in mathematics, any function could be approximated by the Padé approximant. The Padé approximant is the best approximation of a function by a rational function of given order. In fact, the Padé approximant often gives better approximation of the function than truncating its Taylor series, and it may still work where the Taylor series does not converge. In the large-Nc limit of QCD, the chiral expansion of the vacuum polarization at low energies determines the whole function at any arbitrarily large (but finite) energy. This result is an immediate consequence of the Theory of Pade Approximants to Stieltjes functions.

Two Point Pade Approximants and Duality

We propose the use of two point Pade approximants to find expressions valid uniformly in coupling constant for theories with both weak and strong coupling expansions. Noise Effects on Pade Approximants and Conformal Maps

We analyze the properties of Pade and conformal map approximants for functions with branch points, in the situation where the expansion coefficients are only known with finite precision or are subject to noise. We prove that there is a universal scaling relation between the strength of the noise and the expansion order at which Pade or the conformal map breaks down. Pade-Summation Approach to QCD Beta-Function Infrared Properties

We address whether Padé-summations of the $\bar{MS}$ QCD $β$-function for a given number of flavours exhibit an infrared-stable fixed point, or alternatively, an infrared attractor of a double valued couplant as noted by Kogan and Shifman for the case of supersymmetric gluodynamics. Pade Approximants, Optimal Renormalization Scales, and Momentum Flow in Feynman Diagrams

We show that the Pade Approximant (PA) approach for resummation of perturbative series in QCD provides a systematic method for approximating the flow of momentum in Feynman diagrams. In the large-$β_0$ limit, diagonal PA's generalize the Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie (BLM) scale-setting method to higher orders in a renormalization scale- and scheme-invariant manner, using multiple scales that represent Neubert's concept of the distribution of momentum flow through a virtual gluon.
