We analyze the loop quantization of the family of vacuum Bianchi I spacetimes, a gravitational system whose classical solutions describe homogeneous anisotropic cosmologies. We rigorously construct the operator that represents the Hamiltonian constraint, showing that the states of zero volume completely decouple from the rest of quantum states. This fact ensures that the classical cosmological singularity is resolved in the quantum theory. In addition, this allows us to adopt an equivalent quantum description in terms of a well defined densitized Hamiltonian constraint. This latter constraint can be regarded in a certain sense as a difference evolution equation in an internal time provided by one of the triad components, which is polymerically quantized. Generically, this evolution equation is a relation between the projection of the quantum states in three different sections of constant internal time. Nevertheless, around the initial singularity the equation involves only the two closest sections with the same orientation of the triad. This has a double effect: on the one hand, physical states are determined just by the data on one section, on the other hand, the evolution defined in this way never crosses the singularity, without the need of any special boundary condition. Finally, we provide these physical states with a Hilbert structure, completing the quantization.
Some cosmological solutions of massive strings are obtained in Bianchi I space-time following the techniques used by Letelier and Stachel. A class of solutions corresponds to string cosmology associated with/without a magnetic field and the other class consists of pure massive strings, obeying the Takabayashi equation of state.
In this paper we study the exact solutions for a viscous fluid distribution in Bianchi II, VIII, and IX models. The metric is simplified by assuming a relationship between the coefficients and the metric tensor. Solutions are obtained in two special cases: in one, an additional assumption is made where the matter density and the expansion scalar have a definite relation and in the other a barotropic equation of state between the matter density and the thermodynamic pressure is assumed. While the Bianchi II solutions are already found in the literature the other two classes of solutions are app…
The irrotational Bianchi V cosmological model under the influence of both shear and bulk viscosity, together with heat flux, has been studied. Exact solutions for the model are obtained with three physically viable assumptions. The first two relate the matter density, shear scalar, and expansion scalar and the third is a barotropic equation of state, connecting the matter density and thermodynamic pressure. The properties of the solutions are studied and the temperature distribution is also presented explicitly. It has been observed that along with the viscosity, heat flux further adds to the …
We present the solution space of the field equations in the Einstein-aether theory for the case of a vacuum Bianchi Type V space-time. We also find that there are portions of the initial parameters space for which no solution is admitted by the reduced equations. Whenever solutions do exist, their physical interpretation is examined through the behavior of Ricci and/or Kretsmann scalar, as well as with the identification of the effective energy momentum tensor in terms of a perfect fluid. There are cases in which no singularities appear and others where the effective fluid is isotropic.
A spatially homogeneous Bianchi type VI0 model containing a viscous fluid in the presence of an axial magnetic field has been studied. A barotropic equation of state together with a pair of linear relations among the square root of matter density, shear scalar, and expansion scalar have been assumed. Solutions are obtained in the presence of a magnetic field, only in two special cases, which are comparatively simpler. The complete solutions for this model in the absence of a magnetic field are also obtained. The presence of a magnetic field in the former case however, does not in effect cause …
The anisotropic Bianchi type I in multi-scalar field cosmology is studied with a particular potential of the form $\rm V= V_0 e^{-\left[λ_1 ϕ_1 + \cdots + λ_n ϕ_n \right]}\,,$ which emerges as a condition between the time derivatives of their corresponding momenta. Using the Hamiltonian formalism for the inflation epoch with a quintessence framework we find the exact solutions for the Einstein-Klein-Gordon (EKG) system with different scenarios specified by the parameter $\rm λ^2= \sum_{i=1}^n λ_i^2$. For the quantum scheme of this model, the corresponding Wheeler-DeWitt (WDW) equation is solve…
Quantization of the Bianchi type-IX model in supergravity with a cosmological constant
