On a generalized Sierpinski fractal in RP^n

We associate a fractal in $\RPn$ to each vector basis of $\bR^{n+1}$ and we study its measure and asymptotic properties. Then we discuss and study numerically in detail the cases $n=1,2,3$, evaluating in particular their Hausdorff dimension.

Mean value properties of harmonic functions on Sierpinski gasket type fractals

In this paper, we establish an analogue of the classical mean value property for both the harmonic functions and some general functions in the domain of the Laplacian on the Sierpinski gasket. Furthermore, we extend the result to some other p.c.f. fractals with Dihedral-3 symmetry.

Hodge-de Rham Theory on Fractal Graphs and Fractals

We present a new approach to the theory of k-forms on self-similar fractals. We work out the details for two examples, the standard Sierpinski gasket and the 3-dimensional Sierpinski gasket, but the method is expected to be effective for many PCF fractals and also infinitely ramified fractals such as the Sierpinski carpet. Sobolev inequalities on product Sierpinski spaces

On fractals, different measures (mutually singular in general) are involved to measure volumes of sets and energies of functions. Singularity of measures brings difficulties in (especially non-linear) analysis on fractals. Some Properties of the Derivatives on Sierpinski Gasket Type Fractals

In this paper, we focus on Strichartz's derivatives, a family of derivatives including the normal derivative, on p.c.f. (post critically finite) fractals, which are defined at vertex points in the graphs that approximate the fractal. We obtain a weak continuity property of the derivatives for functions in the domain of the Laplacian. For a function with zero normal derivative at any fixed vertex, the derivatives, including the normal derivatives of the neighboring vertices will decay to zero. A trace theorem for Dirichlet forms on fractals

We consider a trace theorem for self-similar Dirichlet forms on self-similar sets to self-similar subsets. In particular, we characterize the trace of the domains of Dirichlet forms on the Sierpinski gaskets and the Sierpinski carpets to their boundaries, where boundaries mean the triangles and rectangles which confine gaskets and carpets. As an application, we construct diffusion processes on a collection of fractals called fractal fields, which behave as the appropriate fractal diffusion within each fractal component of the field.

Exact Spectral Asymptotics on the Sierpinski Gasket

One of the ways that analysis on fractals is more complicated than analysis on manifolds is that the asymptotic behavior of the spectral counting function $N(t)$ has a power law modulated by a nonconstant multiplicatively periodic function. Nevertheless, we show that for the Sierpinski gasket it is possible to write an exact formula, with no remainder term, valid for almost every $t$. This is a stronger result than is valid on manifolds.

Orthogonal Polynomials on the Sierpinski Gasket

The construction of a Laplacian on a class of fractals which includes the Sierpinski gasket ({\bf $SG$}) has given rise to an intensive research on analysis on fractals.
