We give a detailed description of a dynamical system which enjoys a Poisson-Lie symmetry with two non-isomorphic dual groups. The system is obtained by taking the $q\to\infty$ limit of the q-deformed WZW model and the understanding of its symmetry structure results in uncovering an interesting duality of its exchange relations.
We consider the integrability of a two-parameter deformation of the Wess-Zumino-Witten model, previously introduced in relation with Poisson-Lie T-duality. The resulting family of Poisson-Lie dual models is shown to be integrable by using the Maillet r/s formalism.
Poisson-Lie T-duality of the Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) model having the group manifold of $SU(2)$ as target space is investigated. The whole construction relies on the deformation of the affine current algebra of the model, the semi-direct sum $\mathfrak{su}(2)(\mathbb{R}) \, \dot{\oplus} \, \mathfrak{a}$, to the fully semisimple Kac-Moody algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})(\mathbb{R})$. A two-parameter family of models with $SL(2,\mathbb{C})$ as target phase space is obtained so that Poisson-Lie T-duality is realised as an $O(3,3)$ rotation in the phase space. The dual family shares the same…
We axiomatize the defining properties of chiral WZW models. We show that such models are in almost bijective correspondence with pairs $(G,k)$, where $G$ is a connected Lie group and $k \in H^4_+(BG,\mathbb Z)$ is a degree four cohomology class subject to a certain positivity condition. We find a couple extra models which satisfy all the defining properties of chiral WZW models, but which don't come from pairs $(G,k)$ as above. The simplest such model is the simple current extension of the affine VOA $E_8 \times E_8$ at level $(2,2)$ by the group $\mathbb Z_2$.
It is proved that the radially symmetric solutions of the repulsive Euler-Poisson equations with a non-zero background, corresponding to cold plasma oscillations blow up in many spatial dimensions except for $\bd=4$ for almost all initial data. The initial data, for which the solution may not blow up, correspond to simple waves. Moreover, if a solution is globally smooth in time, then it is either affine or tends to affine as $t\to\infty$.
AV-differential geometry: Poisson and Jacobi structures
We give an introduction to the Mathematica packages "MasterPVA" and "MasterPVAmulti used to compute lambda-brackets in Poisson vertex algebras, which play an important role in the theory of infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems. As an application, we give an introduction to the Mathematica package "WAlg" aimed to compute the lambda-brackets among the generators of classical affine W-algebras. The use of these packages is shown by providing some explicit examples.
We show that having any planar (cyclic or acyclic) directed network on a disc with the only condition that all $n_1+m$ sources are separated from all $n_2+m$ sinks, we can construct a cluster-algebra realization of elements of an affine Lie--Poisson algebra $R(λ,μ)T^{1}(λ)T^{2}(μ)=T^{2}(μ)T^{1}(λ)R(λ,μ)$ with $(n_1\times n_2)$-matrices $T(λ)$ corresponding to a planar directed network on an annulus. Upon satisfaction of some invertibility conditions, we can extend this construction to realizations of a quantum loop algebra. Having the quantum loop algebra we can also construct a realization of…
It has been a long standing question how to extend the canonical Poisson bracket formulation from classical mechanics to classical field theories, in a completely general, intrinsic, and canonical way. In this paper, we provide an answer to this question by presenting a new completely canonical bracket formulation of Hamiltonian Classical Field Theories of first order on an arbitrary configuration bundle. It is obtained via the construction of the appropriate field-theoretic analogues of the Hamiltonian vector field and of the space of observables, via the introduction of a suitable canonical …
Let $P$ be a Poisson structure on a finite-dimensional affine real manifold. Can $P$ be deformed in such a way that it stays Poisson? The language of Kontsevich graphs provides a universal approach -- with respect to all affine Poisson manifolds -- to finding a class of solutions to this deformation problem. For that reasoning, several types of graphs are needed. In this paper we outline the algorithms to generate those graphs. The graphs that encode deformations are classified by the number of internal vertices $k$; for $k \leqslant 4$ we present all solutions of the deformation problem. For …
