During a strongly first-order phase transition gravitational waves are produced by bubble collisions and turbulent plasma motion. We analyze the relevant characteristics of the electroweak phase transition in the nMSSM to determine the generated gravitational wave signal. Additionally, we comment on correlations between the production of gravitational waves and baryogenesis. We conclude that the gravitational wave relic density in this model is generically too small to be detected in the near future by the LISA experiment. We also consider the case of a "Standard Model" with dimension-six Higgs potential, which leads to a slightly stronger signal of gravitational waves.
We discuss gravitational wave signal from the strongly first order electroweak phase transition in the split NMSSM. We find that for sets of parameters predicting successful electroweak baryogenesis the gravitational wave signal can be within the reach of future experiments LISA, BBO and Ultimate DECIGO.

Excessive Higgs pair production with little MET from squarks and gluinos in the NMSSM
We show the potential of the LHC to detect a CP-even Higgs boson of the NMSSM, $h_1$ or $h_2$, decaying into two rather light CP-odd Higgs bosons, $a_1$, by exploiting the production mode based on Higgs-strahlung off $b$-quarks, i.e., the channel $pp\to b\bar b h_{1,2}$. We also consider the case of $h_2\to h_1 h_1$ decays. It is found that these decays have dominant BRs over large regions of the NMSSM parameter space where tan$β$ is large, a condition which also favours the $pp\to b\bar b h_{1,2}$ production rates. Further decays of the light Higgs boson pairs ($a_1$ and $h_1$) into photon, m…
In this paper we briefly review the LHC discovery potential of a light pseudoscalar Higgs boson of the NMSSM, $a_1$, produced in the gluon fusion $gg\to a_1$ , bottom-quark fusion $b\bar b\to a_1$ and bottom-gluon fusion $bg\to ba_1$. We also review the LHC discovery potential of the next-to-lightest CP-even Higgs boson $h_2$ being the non-SM-like Higgs, decaying either into two light CP-odd Higgs bosons $a_1 a_1$ or into a light $a_1$ and the $Z$ gauge boson through the gluon fusion $gg \to h_2$ in the 4$τ$ final state. We find that the light $a_1$ can be detected at the LHC in a variety of p…
In this work, we make the first study of electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) based on the LHC data in the CP-violating next-to-minimal supersymmetric model (NMSSM) where a strongly first order electroweak phase transition (EWPT) is obtained in the general complex Higgs potential. With representative benchmark points which pass the current LEP and LHC constraints, we demonstrate the structure of EWPT for those points and how a strongly first order EWPT is obtained in the complex NMSSM where the resulting gravitational wave production properties are found to be within the reaches of future space-bas…
We study the features of the additional Higgs bosons in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model where the lightest beyond Standard Model Higgs boson does not dominantly couple to up-type quarks. The new state is dominantly singlet-like while it can also accommodate a small down-type Higgs component. The gluon-gluon fusion cannot be adequate enough for such a Higgs production. We show that the vector-boson fusion may become the leading production mechanism to probe this new scalar at the LHC. Using the existing 13 TeV LHC data for an integrated luminosity $36.1~fb^{-1}$, we show the L…
In this paper we examine the LHC discovery potential of the lightest CP-odd Higgs boson, a1, of the NMSSM produced in gluon fusion channel gg->a1. We evaluate the inclusive signal rates of the a1 for a variety of decay channels and discuss its possible discovery. It is observed that the overall production and decay rates at inclusive level are quite sizable and should help extracting the a1 signal over some regions of the NMSSM parameter space.
The next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) more naturally accommodates a Higgs boson with a mass of approximately 125 GeV than the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). In this work, we assume that the next-to-lightest CP-even Higgs boson $h_2$ is the SM-like Higgs boson $h$, whereas the lightest CP-even Higgs boson $h_1$ is dominantly singlet-like. We discuss the $h_1h_1$, $h_2h_2$, and $h_1h_2$ pair production processes via gluon-gluon fusion at the LHC for an collision energy of 14 TeV, and we consider the cases in which one Higgs boson decays to $b\bar b$ and the oth…
We study the signal rates of the second lightest CP-even Higgs boson, $h_2$, of the NMSSM produced in gluon fusion, in association with bottom quarks and in association with top quarks, which is not the SM-like Higgs boson, at the LHC. We evaluate the production rates of the $h_2$ in the SM fermionic and bosonic final states in addition to $a_1a_1$, $h_1h_1$ and $Za_1$ final states. It is observed that the size of the signal rates in some regions of the NMSSM parameter space is quite large and that could help extracting the $h_2$ signals at the LHC through a variety of decay channels.
Electroweak Phase Transition in the $Z_3$-invariant NMSSM: Implications of LHC and Dark matter searches and prospects of detecting the gravitational waves
We study the potential of the LHC accelerator, and a future 33 TeV proton collider, to observe the production of a light top squark pair in association with the lightest Higgs boson (${\tilde t}_1 {\tilde t}_1 h_1$), as predicted by the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). We scan randomly about ten million points of the NMSSM parameter space, allowing all possible decays of the lightest top squark and lightest Higgs boson, with no assumptions about their decay rates, except for known physical constraints such as perturbative bounds, Dark matter relic density consistent with …
The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model (NMSSM) appears as an interesting candidate for the interpretation of the Higgs-measurement at the LHC and as a rich framework embedding physics beyond the Standard Model. We consider the renormalization of the Higgs sector of this model in its $\mathcal{CP}$-violating version, and propose a renormalization scheme for the calculation of on-shell Higgs masses. Moreover, the connection between the physical states and the tree-level ones is no longer trivial at the radiative level: a proper description of the corresponding transition thus proves n…
In this note we present benchmark scenarios for resonant double Higgs production at the $13\,$TeV LHC in the 2HDM+S model and the $Z_3$ Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM), which may be accessible with 300 fb$^{-1}$ of data. The NMSSM Higgs sector can be mapped onto the 2HDM+S. We show benchmark points and relevant parameter planes in the 2HDM+S for three sets of signatures: ($A\to h_{125} a, ~H\to h_{125} h)$, ($A\to a h, H\to hh, H\to aa)$, and ($H\to h_{125}h_{125}$). The first two signatures are optimized in what we call $Z$-Phobic scenarios where $H/A$ decays into final …
We have studied the viability and possible patterns of a strong first-order electroweak phase transition (SFOEWPT) within the $Z_3$-symmetric Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM), in view of the latest experimental results from the dark matter (DM) sector, Higgs sector and the searches of the lighter chargino and neutralinos at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We show that the region of parameter space with relatively small $μ_\mathrm{eff}$ that favors an SFOEWPT has started to get excluded from the searches at the LHC and various DM experiments. However, there still remain ph…
In Supersymmetry deviations from the SM signal strengths of the 125 GeV Higgs boson can occur, because of possible SUSY contributions in diagrams with loops, which leads to different deviations in signal strengths for processes with and without loop diagrams. In the Next-to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) additional deviations may occur, because of the mixing with the additional singlet-like Higgs boson and/or additional decays into pairs of light particles, like neutralinos, pseudo-scalar Higgs bosons or singlet-like Higgs bosons. In this paper we study these "genuine" NMSSM dev…
Motivated by the fact that the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model is one of the most plausible models that can accommodate electroweak baryogenesis, we analyze its phase structure by tracing the temperature dependence of the minima of the effective potential. Our results reveal rich patterns of phase structure that end in the observed electroweak symmetry breaking vacuum. We classify these patterns according to the first transition in their history and show the strong first-order phase transitions that may be possible in each type of pattern. These could allow for the generation of …
