Initiated by Gromov, the study of holomorphic curves in symplectic manifolds has been a powerfull tool in symplectic topology, however the moduli space of holomorphic curves is often very difficult to find. A common technique is to study the limiting behavior of holomorphic curves in a degenerating family of complex structures which corresponds to a kind of adiabatic limit. The category of exploded fibrations is an extension of the smooth category in which some of these degenerations can be described as smooth families.
The first part of this paper is devoted to defining exploded fibrations and a slightly more specialized category of exploded torus fibrations. Later sections contain the transverse interesction theory for exploded fibrations and some examples of holomorphic curves in exploded torus fibrations, including a brief discussion of the relationship between tropical geometry and exploded torus fibrations. In the final section, the perturbation theory of holomorphic curves in exploded torus fibrations is sketched.
This paper establishes compactness results for the moduli stack of holomorphic curves in suitable exploded manifolds. This result together with the analysis in arXiv:0902.0087 allows the definition of Gromov Witten invariants of these exploded manifolds.
The category of exploded manifolds is an extension of the category of smooth manifolds related to tropical geometry in which some adiabatic limits appear as smooth families. This paper studies the dbar equation on variations of a given family of curves in an exploded manifold. Roughly, we prove that the dbar equation on variations of an exploded family of curves behaves as nicely as the dbar equation on variations of a smooth family of smooth curves, even though exploded families of curves allow the development of normal crossing or log smooth singularities. The resulting regularity results ar…
This paper describes the structure of the moduli space of holomorphic curves and constructs Gromov Witten invariants in the category of exploded manifolds. This includes defining Gromov Witten invariants relative to normal crossing divisors and proving the associated gluing theorem which involves summing relative invariants over a count of tropical curves.
This paper provides an introduction to exploded manifolds. The category of exploded manifolds is an extension of the category of smooth manifolds with an excellent holomorphic curve theory. Each exploded manifold has a tropical part which is a union of convex polytopes glued along faces. Exploded manifolds are useful for defining and computing Gromov-Witten invariants relative to normal crossing divisors, and using tropical curve counts to compute Gromov-Witten invariants.
We define Gromov--Witten invariants of exploded manifolds. The technical heart of this paper is a construction of a virtual fundamental class $[\mathcal K]$ of any Kuranishi category $\mathcal K$ (which is a simplified, more general version of an embedded Kuranishi structure.) We also show how to integrate differential forms over $[\mathcal K]$ to obtain numerical invariants, and push forward differential forms from $\mathcal K$ over suitable evaluation maps. We show that such invariants are independent of any choices, and are compatible with pullbacks, products, and tropical completion of Kur…
For the sake of hyperk{ä}hler SYZ conjecture, finding holomorphic Lagrangian fibrations becomes an important issue. Toric hyperk{ä}hler manifolds are real dimension $4n$ non-compact hyperk{ä}hler manifolds which are quaternion analog of toric varieties. The $n$ dimensional residue circle action on it admitting a hyperk{ä}hler moment map. We use the complex part of this moment map to construct a holomorphic Lagrangian fibration with generic fiber diffeomorphic to $(\mathbb{C}^*)^n$, and study the singular fibers.
We construct two types of non-holomorphic Lefschetz fibrations over $S^2$ with $(-1)$-sections ---hence, they are fiber sum indecomposable--- by giving the corresponding positive relators. One type of the two does not satisfy the slope inequality (a necessary condition for a fibration to be holomorphic) and has a simply-connected total space, and the other has a total space that cannot admit any complex structure in the first place. These give an alternative existence proof for non-holomorphic Lefschetz pencils without Donaldson's theorem.
In \cite{FOinteger}, Fukaya and Ono outlined a way of counting pseudo-holomorphic curves in a general compact symplectic manifold to obtain integer valued invariants. This paper contains the details of Fukaya and Ono's suggested construction for any compact symplectic manifold and a large class of exploded manifolds.
We show how certain stabilizations produce infinitely many closed oriented 4-manifolds which are the total spaces of genus g surface bundles (resp. Lefschetz fibrations) over genus h surfaces and have non-zero signature, but do not admit complex structures with either orientations, for "most" (resp. all) possible values of g at least 3 and h at least 2 (resp. g at least 2 and h non-negative).
The Gromov invariant and the Donaldson-Smith standard surface count
In this paper, we consider a special relative Kähler fibration that satisfies a homogenous Monge-Ampère equation, which is called a Monge-Ampère fibration. There exist two canonical types of generalized Weil-Petersson metrics on the base complex manifold of the fibration. For the second generalized Weil-Petersson metric, we obtain an explicit curvature formula and prove that the holomorphic bisectional curvature is non-positive, the holomorphic sectional curvature, the Ricci curvature, and the scalar curvature are all bounded from above by a negative constant. For a holomorphic vector bundle o…
We establish a product formula for Gromov-Witten invariants for closed, connected, relatively semi-positive Hamiltonian fibrations over any symplectic base. Furthermore, we show that the fibration projection induces a locally trivial (orbi-)fibration map from the moduli space of pseudo-holomorphic maps with marked points in the total space of the Hamiltonian fibration to the corresponding moduli space of pseudo-holomorphic maps with marked points in the base. We use this induced map to recover the product formula by means of integration. Finally, we give applications to c-splitting and symplec…
We consider a fibered Lagrangian $L$ in a compact symplectic fibration with small monotone fibers, and develop a strategy for lifting $J$-holomorphic disks with Lagrangian boundary from the base to the total space. In case $L$ is a product, we use this machinery to give a formula for the leading order potential and formulate an unobstructedness criteria for the $A_\infty$ algebra. We provide some explicit computations, one of which involves finding an embedded 2n+k dimensional submanifold of Floer-non-trivial tori in a 2n+2k dimensional fiber bundle.
We construct fiber-preserving anti-symplectic involutions for a large class of symplectic manifolds with Lagrangian torus fibrations. In particular, we treat the K3 surface and the quintic threefold. We interpret our results as corroboration of the view that in homological mirror symmetry, an anti-symplectic involution is the mirror of duality. In the same setting, we construct fiber-preserving symplectomorphisms that can be interpreted as the mirror to twisting by a holomorphic line bundle.
We prove that every strong symplectic filling of a planar contact manifold admits a symplectic Lefschetz fibration over the disk, and every strong filling of the 3-torus similarly admits a Lefschetz fibration over the annulus. It follows that strongly fillable planar contact structures are also Stein fillable, and all strong fillings of the 3-torus are equivalent up to symplectic deformation and blowup. These constructions result from a compactness theorem for punctured J-holomorphic curves that foliate a convex symplectic manifold. We use it also to show that the compactly supported symplecto…
In this paper, we study the geometry of the SYZ transform on a semi-flat Lagrangian torus fibration. Our starting point is an investigation on the relation between Lagrangian surgery of a pair of straight lines in a symplectic 2-torus and extension of holomorphic vector bundles over the mirror elliptic curve, via the SYZ transform for immersed Lagrangian multi-sections. This study leads us to a new notion of equivalence between objects in the immersed Fukaya category of a general compact symplectic manifold $(M, ω)$, under which the immersed Floer cohomology is invariant; in particular, this p…
Let π: M \ra B be a Lagrangian torus fibration with singularities such that the fibers are of Maslov index zero, and unobstructed. The paper constructs a rigid analytic space M_0^\chk over the Novikov field which is a deformation of the semi-flat complex structure of the dual torus fibration over the smooth locus B_0 of π. Transition functions of M_0^\chk are obtained via A-\infty homomorphisms which capture the wall-crossing phenomenon of moduli spaces of holomorphic disks.
Cieliebak,A. R. Gaio和D.萨拉蒙也(从不同的角度)得出了同样的方程,并制定了一个非常类似的程序(见math.SG/9909122)。
For a toric Calabi-Yau (CY) orbifold $\mathcal{X}$ whose underlying toric variety is semi-projective, we construct and study a non-toric Lagrangian torus fibration on $\mathcal{X}$, which we call the Gross fibration. We apply the Strominger-Yau-Zaslow (SYZ) recipe to the Gross fibration of $\mathcal{X}$ to construct its mirror with the instanton corrections coming from genus 0 open orbifold Gromov-Witten (GW) invariants, which are virtual counts of holomorphic orbi-disks in $\mathcal{X}$ bounded by fibers of the Gross fibration. We explicitly evaluate all these invariants by first proving an o…
