We consider an oblique incidence on a uniform dielectric layer of the plane monochromatic TE- and TM-waves, as well as TE- and TM-polarized wave packets consisting of waves with the same angle of incidence. For each polarization the stationary model is presented, which allows one to uniquely restore the dynamics of the transmitted and reflected components of the incident wave packet at all stages of scattering. Negative group delay for Dirac particles traveling through a potential well

The properties of group delay for Dirac particles traveling through a potential well are investigated. A necessary condition is put forward for the group delay to be negative. It is shown that this negative group delay is closely related to its anomalous dependence on the width of the potential well. In order to demonstrate the validity of stationary-phase approach, numerical simulations are made for Gaussian-shaped temporal wave packets. Real-time quantum calculations of phase shifts using wave packet time delays

We present a method to extract the phase shift of a scattering process using the real-time evolution in the early and intermediate stages of the collision in order to estimate the time delay of a wave packet. This procedure is convenient when using noisy quantum computers for which the asymptotic out-state behavior is unreachable. Direct tunneling delay time measurement in an optical lattice

We report on the measurement of the time required for a wave packet to tunnel through the potential barriers of an optical lattice. The experiment is carried out by loading adiabatically a Bose-Einstein condensate into a 1D optical lattice. A sudden displacement of the lattice by a few tens of nm excites the micromotion of the dipole mode. We then directly observe in momentum space the splitting of the wave packet at the turning points and measure the delay between the reflected and the tunneled packets for various initial displacements.
