We study the quantum entanglement between two coupled cavities, in which one is initially prepared in a mesoscopic superposition state and the other is in the vacuum in dissipative environment and show how the entanglement between two cavities can arise in the dissipative environment. The dynamic behavior of the nonlocality for the system is also investigated.

Majorana-Like Modes of Light in a One-Dimensional Array of Nonlinear Cavities

The search for Majorana fermions in p-wave paired fermionic systems has recently moved to the forefront of condensed-matter research. Nonreciprocal waveguide-QED for spinning cavities with multiple coupling points

We investigate chiral emission and the single-photon scattering of spinning cavities coupled to a meandering waveguide at multiple coupling points. It is shown that nonreciprocal photon transmissions occur in the cavities-waveguide system, which stems from interference effects among different coupling points, and frequency shifts induced by the Sagnac effect. The nonlocal interference is akin to the mechanism in giant atoms. Cluster-type entangled coherent states

We present the cluster-type entangled coherent states (CTECS) and discuss their properties. A cavity QED generation scheme using suitable choices of atom-cavity interactions, obtained via detunings adjustments and the application of classical external fields, is also presented. After the realization of simple atomic measurements, CTECS representing nonlocal electromagnetic fields in separate cavities can be generated.

Interaction-induced two-photon edge states in extended Hubbard model realized in a cavity array

We study theoretically two-photon states in a periodic array of coupled cavities with both on-site and nonlocal Kerr-type nonlinearities. In the absence of nonlinearity the structure is topologically trivial and possesses no edge states. The interplay of two nonlinear interaction mechanisms described by the extended Hubbard model facilitates formation of edge states of bound photon pairs. Numerical and exact analytical results for the two-photon wave functions are presented. Our findings thus shed light onto the edge states of composite particles and their localization properties.
