We report on the generation of non separable beams produced via the interaction of a linearly polarized beam with a cloud of cold cesium atoms placed in an optical cavity. We convert the squeezing of the two linear polarization modes into quadrature entanglement and show how to find out the best entanglement generated in a two-mode system using the inseparability criterion for continuous variable [Duan et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 84, 2722 (2000)]. We verify this method experimentally with a direct measurement of the inseparability using two homodyne detections. We then map this entanglement into a polarization basis and achieve polarization entanglement.
Entanglement witnesses based on first and second moments exist in the form of spin-squeezing criteria for the detection of particle entanglement from collective measurements, and in form of modified uncertainty relations for the detection of mode entanglement or steering. By revealing a correspondence between them, we show that metrologically useful spin squeezing reveals multimode entanglement in symmetric spin states that are distributed into addressable modes. We further derive tight state-independent multipartite entanglement bounds on the spin-squeezing coefficient and point out their con…
We study the quantum critical effect enhanced spin-nematic squeezing and quantum Fisher information (QFI) in the spin-1 dipolar atomic Bose-Einstein condensate. We show that the quantum phase transitions can improve the squeezing and QFI in the nearby regime of critical point, and the Heisenberg-limited high-precision metrology can be obtained. The different properties of the ground squeezing and entanglement under even and odd number of atoms are further analyzed, by calculating the exact analytical expressions. We also demonstrate the squeezing and entanglement generated by the spin-mixing dy…
We investigate the generation of the entanglement in a cavity magnomechanical system, which consists of three modes: a magnon mode, a microwave cavity mode and a mechanical vibration mode, the couplings of the magnon-photon and the magnon-phonon are achieved by the magnetic dipole interaction and the magnetostrictive interaction, respectively. By introducing a squeezing of the magnon mode, the magnon-photon and the magnon-phonon entanglements are significantly enhanced compared with the case without inserting the magnon squeezing. We find that an optimal parameter of the squeezing exists, whic…
We propose a scheme to generate entanglement between two cavity modes and squeeze magnon mode in a magnon-cavity QED system, where the two microwave cavity modes are coupled with a massive yttrium iron garnet (YIG) sphere through magnetic dipole interaction. The nonlinearity used in our system originates from a squeezed driving via parametric down-conversion process, which is the reason to cause entanglement and squeezing. By using the mean field approximation and employing experimentally feasible parameters, we demonstrate that the system shows zero entanglement and squeezing without squeezed…

Controlling steady-state bipartite entanglements and quadrature squeezing in a membrane-in-the-middle optomechanical system with two Bose-Einstein condensates
Exploiting multiple modes in a quantum acoustic device could enable applications in quantum information in a hardware-efficient setup, including quantum simulation in a synthetic dimension and continuous-variable quantum computing with cluster states. We develop a multimode surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonator with a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) integrated in one of the Bragg reflectors. The interaction with the SQUID-shunted mirror gives rise to coupling between the more than 20 accessible resonator modes. We exploit this coupling to demonstrate two-mode squeezing of SA…
