We propose a prescription to quantize classical monomials in terms of symmetric and ordered expansions of non-commuting operators of a bosonic theory. As a direct application of such quantization rules, we quantize a classically time evolved function
$\mathcal{O}(q,p,t)$, and calculate its expectation value in coherent states. The result can be expressed in terms of the application of a classical operator which performs a {\em Gaussian smoothing} of the original function $\mathcal{O}$ evaluated at the center of the coherent state. This scheme produces a natural semi-classical expansion for the quantum expectation values at a short time scale. Moreover, since the classical Liouville evolution of a Gaussian probability density gives the {\bf same} form for the classical statistical mean value, we can calculate the first order correction in $\hbar$ entirely from the associated classical time evolved function. This allows us to write a general expression for the Ehrenfest time in terms of the departure of the centroid of the quantum distribution from the classical trajectory provided we start with an initially coherent state for each subsystem. In order to illustrate this approach, we have calculated analytically the Ehrenfest time of a model with $N$ coupled non-linear oscillators with non-linearity of even order.
We discuss the precanonical quantization of fields which is based on the De Donder--Weyl (DW) Hamiltonian formulation and treats the space and time variables on an equal footing. Classical field equations in DW Hamiltonian form are derived as the equations for the expectation values of precanonical quantum operators. This field-theoretic generalization of the Ehrenfest theorem demonstrates the consistency of three aspects of precanonical field quantization: (i) the precanonical representation of operators in terms of the Clifford (Dirac) algebra valued partial differential operators, (ii) the …
This letter reports the findings of the late time behavior of the out-of-time-ordered correlators (OTOCs) via a quantum kicked rotor model with $\cal{PT}$-symmetric driving potential. An analytical expression of the OTOCs' quadratic growth with time is yielded as $C(t)=G(K)t^2$. Interestingly, the growth rate $G$ features a quantized response to the increase of the kick strength $K$, which indicates the chaos-assisted quantization in the OTOCs' dynamics. The physics behind this is the quantized absorption of energy from the non-Hermitian driving potential. This discovery and the ensuing establ…
Dirac's identification of the quantum analog of the Poisson bracket with the commutator is reviewed, as is the threat of self-inconsistent overdetermination of the quantization of classical dynamical variables which drove him to restrict the assumption of correspondence between quantum and classical Poisson brackets to embrace only the Cartesian components of the phase space vector. Dirac's canonical commutation rule fails to determine the order of noncommuting factors within quantized classical dynamical variables, but does imply the quantum/classical correspondence of Poisson brackets betwee…
Starting from a many-body classical system governed by a trace-form entropy we derive, in the stochastic quantization picture, a family of non linear and non-Hermitian Schroedinger equations describing, in the mean filed approximation, a quantum system of interacting particles. The time evolution of the main physical observables is analyzed by means of the Ehrenfest equations showing that, in general, this family of equations takes into account dissipative and damped effects due to the interaction of the system with the background. We explore the presence of steady states by means of solitons,…
The out-of-time-ordered correlator (OTOC) is a measure of quantum chaos that is being vigorously investigated. Analytically accessible simple models that have long been studied in other contexts could provide insights into such measures. This paper investigates the OTOC in the quantum bakers map which is the quantum version of a simple and exactly solvable model of deterministic chaos that caricatures the action of kneading dough. Exact solutions based on the semiquantum approximation are derived that tracks very well the correlators till the Ehrenfest time. The growth occurs at the exponentia…
It was proposed recently that the out-of-time-ordered four-point correlator (OTOC) may serve as a useful characteristic of quantum-chaotic behavior, because in the semi-classical limit, $\hbar \to 0$, its rate of exponential growth resembles the classical Lyapunov exponent. Here, we calculate the four-point correlator, $C(t)$, for the classical and quantum kicked rotor -- a textbook driven chaotic system -- and compare its growth rate at initial times with the standard definition of the classical Lyapunov exponent. Using both quantum and classical arguments, we show that the OTOC's growth rate…
Quantum Space-Time and Phase Space with fuzzy geometric structure are studied as possible formalism for quantization of massive particles and fields. In this approach the state of nonrelativistic particle m described by the fuzzy point of fuzzy (weakly) ordered Manifold X. Due to m partial ordering in X m coordinate x principal uncertainty is generic in this ansatz. It's shown that in 1+1 dimension such Fuzzy Mechanics (FM) is equivalent to Path Integral formalism of Quantum Mechanics (QM).
Out-of time-ordered correlators (OTOC) have recently attracted significant attention from the physics of many-body systems, to quantum black-holes, with an exponential growth of the OTOC indicating quantum chaos. Here we consider OTOC in the context of coined discrete quantum walks, a very well studied model of quantization of classical random walks with applications to quantum algorithms. Three separate cases of operators, variously localized in the coin and walker spaces, are discussed in this context and it is found that the approximated behavior of the OTOCs is well described by simple alg…
We develop a notion of quantum observable for the general boundary formulation of quantum theory. This notion is adapted to spacetime regions rather than to hypersurfaces and naturally fits into the topological quantum field theory like axiomatic structure of the general boundary formulation. We also provide a proposal for a generalized concept of expectation value adapted to this type of observable. We show how the standard notion of quantum observable arises as a special case together with the usual expectation values. We proceed to introduce various quantization schemes to obtain such quant…
The quantum space-time and the phase space with fuzzy structure is investigated as the possible quantization formalism. In this theory the state of nonrelativistic particle corresponds to the element of fuzzy ordered set (Foset) - fuzzy point. Due to Foset partial (weak) ordering, particle's space coordinate x acquires principal uncertainty dx. It's shown that Shroedinger formalism of Quantum Mechanics can be completely derived from consideration of particle evolution in fuzzy phase space with minimal number of axioms.
Motivated by some well-known results in the phase space description of quantum optics and quantum information theory, we aim to describe the formalism of quantum field theory by explicitly considering the holomorphic representation for a scalar field within the deformation quantization program. Notably, the symbol of a symmetric ordered operator in terms of holomorphic variables may be straightforwardly obtained by the quantum field analogue of the Husimi distribution associated with a normal ordered operator. This relation also allows establishing a $c$-equivalence between the Moyal and the n…
Robertson and Hadamard-Robertson theorems on non-negative definite hermitian forms are generalized to an arbitrary ordered field. These results are then applied to the case of formal power series fields, and the Heisenberg-Robertson, Robertson-Schrödinger and trace uncertainty relations in deformation quantization are found. Some conditions under which the uncertainty relations are minimized are also given.

Based on the assumption that time evolves only in one direction and mechanical systems can be described by Lagrangeans, a dynamical C*-algebra is presented for non-relativistic particles at atomic scales. Without presupposing any quantization scheme, this algebra is inherently non-commutative and comprises a large set of dynamics. In contrast to other approaches, the generating elements of the algebra are not interpreted as observables, but as operations on the underlying system; they describe the impact of temporary perturbations caused by the surroundings. In accordance with the doctrine of …
