In this paper we treat coherent-squeezed states of Fock space once more and study some basic properties of them from a geometrical point of view. Since the set of coherent-squeezed states $\{\ket{α, β}\ |\ α, β\in \fukuso\}$ makes a real 4-dimensional surface in the Fock space ${\cal F}$ (which is of course not flat), we can calculate its metric. In contrast to widespread opinion it is shown to be amenable to straightforward mathematical treatment within ``every-users'' simple-minded single particle quantum mechanics (without reduction postulate or the like), exploiting only its probabilistic content.
We present a diagrammatic derivation of the coherent backscattering spectrum from two two-level atoms using the pump-probe approach, wherein the multiple scattering signal is deduced from single-atom responses, and provide a physical interpretation of the single-atom building blocks.

We use coherent states as a time-dependent variational ansatz for a semiclassical treatment of the dynamics of anharmonic quantum oscillators. In this approach the square variance of the Hamiltonian within coherent states is of particular interest. This quantity turns out to have natural interpretation with respect to time-dependent solutions of the semiclassical equations of motion. Moreover, our approach allows for an estimate of the decoherence time of a classical object due to quantum fluctuations. We illustrate our findings at the example of the Toda chain.

We demonstrate that Optimal Control Theory (OCT) with a state-dependent constraint which depends on the state of the system at each instant can reproduce the famous counterintuitive mechanism of Stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP). We discuss some basic tools for an analysis of one-dimensionalquantum systems defined on a cyclic coordinate space. The basic features of the generalized coherent states, the complexifier coherent states are reviewed. These states are then used to define the corresponding (quasi)densities in phase space. The properties of these generalized Husimi distributions are discussed, in particular their zeros.Furthermore, the use of the complexifier coherent states for a semiclassical analysis is demonstrated by deriving a semiclassical coherent state propagator in phase space.

A basic introduction to the $su(1,1)$ algebra is presented, in which we discuss the relation with canonical transformations, the realization in terms of quantized radiation field modes and coherent states. Instead of going into details of these topics, we rather emphasize the existing connections between them. We discuss two parametrizations of the coherent states manifold $SU(1,1)/U(1)$: as the Poincar{é} disk in the complex plane and as the pseudosphere (a sphere in a Minkowskian space), and show that it is a natural phase space for quantum systems with SU(1,1) symmetry.
