The multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) model has been employed to calculate the transition rates between the nine lowest levels of radium. The dominant rates were then used to evaluate the radiative lifetimes. The decay of the metastable $ 7s7p ^3 P_0 $ state through 2-photon E1M1 and hyperfine induced channels is also studied.
The multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock theory (MCDHF) has been employed to calculate the electric dipole moment of the 7s6d 3D2 state of radium induced by the nuclear Schiff moment. The results are dominated by valence and core-valence electron correlation effects. We show that the correlation effects can be evaluated in a converged series of multiconfiguration expansions.
The multiconfigurational time-dependent Hartree-Fock method (MCTDHF) is applied for simulations of the two-photon ionization of Helium. We present results for the single- and double ionization from the groundstate for photon energies in the non-sequential regime, and compare them to direct solutions of the Schrödinger equation using the time-dependent (full) Configuration Interaction method (TDCI). We find that the single-ionization is accurately reproduced by MCTDHF, whereas the double ionization results correctly capture the main trends of TDCI.

Large-scale calculations of atomic structures and radiative properties have been carried out for singly, doubly- and trebly ionized cerium. For this purpose, the purely relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) method was used, taking into account the effects of valence-valence and core-valence electronic correlations in detail. We present an implementation of the multiconfiguration time-dependent Hartree-Fock method based on the adaptive finite element method for molecules under intense laser pulses. For efficient simulations, orbital functions are propagated by a stable propagator using the short iterative Arnoldi scheme and our implementation is parallelized for distributed memory computing. This is demonstrated by simulating high-harmonic generation from a water molecule and achieves a simulation of multielectron dynamics with overwhelmingly less computational time, compared to our previous work.

The accuracy of the ab initio energy levels and the agreement in the length and velocity forms of the line strength for the E2 transitions are used as indicators of accuracy. We report a three-dimensional numerical implementation of multiconfiguration time-dependent Hartree-Fock (MCTDHF) based on a multi-resolution Cartesian grid, with no need to assume any symmetry of molecular structure. We successfully compute high-harmonic generation (HHG) of H2 and H2O. The present implementation will open a way to the first-principle theoretical study of intense-field and attosecond-pulse induced ultrafast phenomena in general molecules.
High-precision calculations of the energy levels of the superheavy element Z=120 are presented. The relativistic Hartree-Fock and configuration interaction techniques are employed. The correlations between core and valence electrons are treated by means of the correlation potential method and many-body perturbation theory. Similar calculations for barium and radium are used to gauge the accuracy of the calculations and to improve the ab initio results.

State-of-the-art relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock calculations have been performed to evaluate the electronic field and mass isotope shift factors of the Cu~I resonance line at $λ= 324.8$~nm. A linear correlation between the mass factors and the transition energy is found for elaborate correlation models, allowing extrapolation to the observed frequency limit. The relativistic corrections to the recoil operator reduces the transition mass factor by 5~\%.

Our method of calculation is validated through the comparison with the available experimental electron affinities of Cl, Br, I, and other theoretical values. Hyperfine structure parameters are calculated for the 2p2(3P)3s 4P_J, 2p2(3P)3p 4Po_J and 2p2(3P)3p 4Do_J levels, using the ab initio multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock method. Recently the lifetime of the excited $^{2}P_{1/2}$-state of S$^-$ was measured to be $503\pm 54$ s (Bäckström et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. 114, 143003 (2015)). The earlier theoretical lifetime of $436$ s was clearly outside the experimental error bars. To investigate this discrepancy we have performed systematic and large-scale multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock calculations for this system. We present experimental atomic lifetimes for 12 levels in Sb I, out of which seven are reported for the first time. The levels belong to the 5p$^2$($^3$P)6s $^{2}$P, $^{4}$P and 5p$^2$($^3$P)5d $^{4}$P, $^{4}$F and $^{2}$F terms. The lifetimes were measured using time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence. We have calculated the resonant and nonresonant contributions to attosecond impulsive stimulated electronic Raman scattering (SERS) in regions of autoionizing transitions. Comparison with Multiconfiguration Time-Dependent Hartree-Fock (MCTDHF) calculations find that attosecond SERS is dominated by continuum transitions and not autoionizing resonances. These results agree quantitatively with a rate equation that includes second-order Raman and first-and second-order photoionization rates. The electron correlation effects are taken into account systematically by using the active space approach. The effect of higher-order correlation on fine structures is shown. We also study the influence of the Breit interaction and find that it reduces the oscillator strength of the $^3P^o_1 - ^1S_0$ transition by 17%. Radiative emission lines from nitrogen and its ions are often observed in nebulae spectra, where the N$^{2+}$ abundance can be inferred from lines of the 2p4f configuration. The main aim of this paper is to present accurate energy levels of the ground [Xe]$4f^{12}$ and first excited [Xe]$4f^{11}5d$ configurations of Er$^{2+}$. The energy level structure of the Er$^{2+}$ ion was computed using the multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock and relativistic configuration interaction (RCI) methods, as implemented in the GRASP2018 program package. We calculated the magnetic dipole hyperfine interaction constants and the electric field gradients of $2p^53p~^2[3/2]_2$ and $2p^53s~^2[3/2]^o_2$ levels of Ne I by using the multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock method. The electronic factors contributing to the isotope shifts were also estimated for the $λ= 614.5$ nm transition connecting these two states.
