Orbifold Euler characteristics of universal cotangent line bundles on $\bar{M}_{1,n}$

A scheme of computing $χ(\mbar_{1,n}, L_1^{\otimes d_1}\otimes ... \otimes L_n^{\otimes d_n})$ is given. Here $\mbar_{1,n}$ is the moduli space of $n$-pointed stable curves of genus one and $L_i$ are the universal cotangent line bundles defined by $x_i^*(ω_{C/M})$, where $C \to \mbar_{1,n}$ is the universal curve, $ω_{C/M}$ the relative dualizing sheaf and $x_i$ the marked point. This work is a sequel to \cite{YL1}.

Euler Characteristics of Moduli Spaces of Curves

Let ${mathcal M}_g^n$ be the moduli space of n-pointed Riemann surfaces of genus g. Denote by ${\bar {\mathcal M}}_g^n$ the Deligne-Mumford compactification of ${mathcal M}_g^n$. In the present paper, we calculate the orbifold and the ordinary Euler characteristic of ${\bar {\mathcal M}}_g^n$ for any g and n such that n>2-2g.

In this paper, the Euler characteristic formula for projective logarithmic minimal degenerations of surfaces with Kodaira dimension zero over a 1-dimensional complex disk is proved under a reasonable assumption and as its application, the singularity of logarithmic minimal degenerations are determined in the abelian or hyperelliptic case. A New Approach to Euler Calculus for Continuous Integrands

Euler calculus is based on integrating simple functions with respect to the Euler characteristic. This paper makes the case for extending Euler calculus to continuous integrands by integrating with respect to (Gaussian) curvature. This requires a metric but is nevertheless defined within any O-minimal theory. It satisfies a Fubini theorem and extends to a functor. Euler calculus is the "adiabatic limit" of this "curvature calculus". All this suggests new applications of differential geometry to data analysis.

Integration with respect to Euler characteristic over the projectivization of the space of functions and the Alexander polynomial of a plane curve singularity

We discuss a notion of integration with respect to the Euler characteristic in the projectivization $¶{\cal O}_{\C^n,0}$ of the ring ${\cal O}_{\C^n,0}$ of germs of functions on $C^n$ and show that the Alexander polynomial and the zeta-function of a plane curve singularity can be expressed as certain integrals over $¶{\cal O}_{\C^2,0}$ with respect to the Euler characteristic.
