We propose a method for reduction of quantum systems with arbitrary first class constraints. An appropriate mathematical setting for the problem is homology of associative algebras. For every such an algebra $A$ and its subalgebra B with an augmentation e there exists a cohomological complex which is a generalization of the BRST one. Its cohomology is an associative graded algebra Hk^{*}(A,B) which we call the Hecke algebra of the triple (A,B,e). It acts in the cohomology space H^{*}(B,V) for every left A- module V. In particular the zeroth graded component Hk^{0}(A,B) acts in the space of B- invariants of V and provides the reduction of the quantum system.
Generalization of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation solutions to an arbitrary grading is studied. The noncommutative differential calculi corresponding to such solutions is considered. The connection with the ordinary and supersymmetric solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation is given.
We construct the scattering matrices for an arbitrary Weyl group in terms of elementary operators which obey the generalised Yang-Baxter equation. We use this construction to obtain the affine Hecke algebras. The center of the affine Hecke algebras coincides with commuting Hamiltonians. These Hamiltonians have q-deformed affine Lie algebras as symmetry algebra.
We establish the existence of an IC basis for the generalized Temperley--Lieb algebra associated to a Coxeter system of arbitrary type. We determine this basis explicitly in the case where the Coxeter system is simply laced and the algebra is finite dimensional.
We introduce the notion of affinizations and R-matrices for arbitrary quiver Hekcke algebras. We show that they enjoy similar properties to those for symmetric quiver Hecke algebras. We next define the notion of a duality datum and construct a tensor functor between graded module categories of two quiver Hecke algebras. We give several examples of such functors .
These are the notes from a series of lectures the author gave at Harvard University in the Fall of 1994. The goal of these lectures is to give a self-contained exposition of recent result of Cherednik (\cite{C6}), who proved Macdonald's inner product conjectures (see \cite{M2}) for arbitrary root systems, using the algebraic structure he called ``double affine Hecke algebra''.
We introduce the notions of quasi-Laurent and Laurent families of simple modules over quiver Hecke algebras of arbitrary symmetrizable types. We prove that such a family plays a similar role of a cluster in the quantum cluster algebra theory and exhibits a quantum Laurent positivity phenomenon for the basis of the quantum unipotent coordinate ring $\mathcal{A}_q(\mathfrak{n}(w))$, coming from the categorification. Then we show that the families of simple modules categorifying GLS-clusters are Laurent families by using the PBW-decomposition vector of a simple module $X$ and categorical interpre…
We construct boundary type operators satisfying fused reflection equation for arbitrary representations of the Baxterized affine Hecke algebra. These operators are analogues of the fused reflection matrices in solvable half-line spin chain models. We show that these operators lead to a family of commuting transfer matrices of Sklyanin type. We derive fusion type functional relations for these operators for two families of representations.
We introduce a generalization of degenerate affine Hecke algebra, called wreath Hecke algebra, associated to an arbitrary finite group G. The simple modules of the wreath Hecke algebra and of its associated cyclotomic algebras are classified over an algebraically closed field of any characteristic p. The modular branching rules for these algebras are obtained, and when p does not divide the order of G, they are further identified with crystal graphs of integrable modules for quantum affine algebras. The key is to establish an equivalence between a module category of the (cyclotomic) wreath Hec…
The bispectral quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (BqKZ) equation corresponding to the affine Hecke algebra $H$ of type $A_{N-1}$ is a consistent system of $q$-difference equations which in some sense contains two families of Cherednik's quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations for meromorphic functions with values in principal series representations of $H$. In this paper we extend this construction of BqKZ to the case where $H$ is the affine Hecke algebra associated to an arbitrary irreducible reduced root system. We construct explicit solutions of BqKZ and describe its correspondence to a…
Let $W$ be a Coxeter group. The goal of the paper is to construct new Hopf algebras that contain Hecke algebras $H_{\bf q}(W)$ as (left) coideal subalgebras. Our Hecke-Hopf algebras ${\bf H}(W)$ have a number of applications. In particular they provide new solutions of quantum Yang-Baxter equation and lead to a construction of a new family of endo-functors of the category of $H_{\bf q}(W)$-modules. Hecke-Hopf algebras for the symmetric group are related to Fomin-Kirillov algebras, for an arbitrary Coxeter group $W$ the "Demazure" part of ${\bf H}(W)$ is being acted upon by generalized braided …
We prove a Morita reduction theorem for the cyclotomic Hecke algebras H_{r,p,n}({q,Q})$ of type G(r,p,n). As a consequence, we show that computing the decomposition numbers of H_{r,p,n}(Q) reduces to computing the p'-splittable decomposition numbers of the cyclotomic Hecke algebras H_{r',p',n'}(Q'), where $1\le r'\le r$, $1\le n'\le n$, $ p'\mid p$ and where the parameters Q' are contained in a single $(ε,q)$-orbit and $ε$ is a primitive p'th root of unity.
Applying the method of the paper [CT], we perform a quantum version of the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction in Reflection Equation algebras and braided Yangians, associated with involutive and Hecke symmetries of general forms. This reduction is based on the Cayley-Hamilton identity valid for the generating matrices of these algebras.
We prove a ``positive'' Jantzen sum formula for the Specht modules of the cyclotomic Hecke algebras of type~$A$. That is, in the Grothendieck group, we show that the sum of the pieces of the Jantzen filtration is equal to an explicit non-negative linear combination of modules $E^ν_{f,e}$, which are modular reductions of simple modules for closely connected Hecke algebras in characteristic zero. The coefficient of $E^ν_{f,e}$ in the sum formula is determined by the graded decomposition numbers in characteristic zero, which are known, and the characteristic of the field. As a consequence we see …
A Hecke endomorphism algebra is a natural generalisation of the $q$-Schur algebra associated with the symmetric group to a Coxeter group. For Weyl groups, B. Parshall, L. Scott and the first author \cite{DPS,DPS4} investigated the stratification structure of these algebras in order to seek applications to representations of finite groups of Lie type. In this paper we investigate the presentation problem for Hecke endomorphism algebras associated with arbitrary Coxeter groups. Our approach is to present such algebras by quivers with relations. If $R$ is the localisation of $\mathbb Z[q]$ at the…
In the present paper we generalize the construction of the nil Hecke ring of Kostant-Kumar to the context of an arbitrary algebraic oriented cohomology theory of Levine-Morel and Panin-Smirnov, e.g. to Chow groups, Grothendieck's K_0, connective K-theory, elliptic cohomology, and algebraic cobordism. The resulting object, which we call a formal (affine) Demazure algebra, is parameterized by a one-dimensional commutative formal group law and has the following important property: specialization to the additive and multiplicative periodic formal group laws yields completions of the nil Hecke and …
The traces of the Murphy operators of the Hecke algebra $H_n(q)$, and of products of sets of Murphy operators with non-consecutive indices, can be evaluated by a straightforward recursive procedure. These traces are shown to determine all the reduced traces in this algebra, which, in turn, determine all other traces. To illustrate the procedure we obtain the set of reduced traces for $H_7(q)$ - the lowest order Hecke algebra whose character table has not hitherto been reported. This is preceded by the presentation of an explicit algorithm for the reduction of the trace of an arbitrary element …
In this paper, our main aim is to determine the multiplicities of a class of roots for Nichols algebra of diagonal type over fields of arbitrary characteristic, which is a generalization of the results on the multiplicities of these roots over fields of characteristic zero obtained by I. Heckenberber and the author.
These are lecture notes prepared for London Mathematical Society Symposium "Quantum Groups" held in Durham 19-29 July 1999. We give a survey on cyclotomic Hecke algebras. These algebras have been studied by Dipper, James, Malle, Mathas and the author. In lecture one, we start with definitions. We then go on to Specht module theory of cyclotomic Hecke algebras constructed by Dipper, James and Mathas. In lecture two, we explain Ginzburg and Lusztig's theory on affine Hecke algebras and its application to cyclotomic Hecke algebras due to the author. As Kazhdan-Lusztig bases of Hecke algebras desc…
In this paper, we propose and discuss implications of a general conjecture that there is a canonical action of a rank 1 double affine Hecke algebra on the Kauffman bracket skein module of the complement of a knot $K \subset S^3$. We prove this in a number of nontrivial cases, including all $(2,2p+1)$ torus knots, the figure eight knot, and all 2-bridge knots (when $q=\pm 1$). As the main application of the conjecture, we construct 3-variable polynomial knot invariants that specialize to the classical colored Jones polynomials introduced by Reshetikhin and Turaev in \cite{RT90}. We also deduce …
