Let X be a smooth, connected, closed subvariety of a complex vector space V. The asymptotic cone as(X) is naturally equipped with a nearby cycles sheaf P coming from the specialization of X to as(X). We show that if X is transverse to infinity in a suitable sense, then the Fourier transform of P is an intersection homology sheaf.

Specialization to the tangent cone and Whitney Equisingularity

Let (X,0) be a reduced, equidimensional germ of analytic singularity with reduced tangent cone (C_{X,0},0). We prove that the absence of exceptional cones is a necessary and sufficient condition for the smooth part \X^0 of the specialization to the tangent cone ϕ: \X \to \C to satisfy Whitney's conditions along the parameter axis Y. This result is a first step in generalizing to higher dimensions Lê and Teissier's result for hypersurfaces of \C^3 which establishes the Whitney equisingularity of X and its tangent cone under this conditions.

Multi-specialization and multi-asymptotic expansions

In this paper we extend the notion of specialization functor to the case of several closed submanifolds satisfying some suitable conditions. Applying this functor to the sheaf of Whitney holomorphic functions we construct different kinds of sheaves of multi-asymptotically developable functions, whose definitions are natural extensions of the definition of strongly asymptotically developable functions introduced by Majima.

Generalization of multi-specializations and multi-asymptotics

Asymptotic cone of semisimple orbits for symmetric pairs

Let G be a reductive algebraic group over the complex field and O_h be a closed adjoint orbit through a semisimple element h. By a result of Borho and Kraft (1979), it is known that the asymptotic cone of the orbit O_h is the closure of a Richardson nilpotent orbit corresponding to a parabolic subgroup whose Levi component is the centralizer Z_G(h) in G. In this paper, we prove an analogue on a semisimple orbit for a symmetric pair (G, K).

Asymptotic invariants of base loci

The purpose of this paper is to define and study systematically some asymptotic invariants associated to base loci of line bundles on smooth projective varieties. We distinguish an open dense subset of the real big cone, called the stable locus, consisting of the set of classes on which the asymptotic base locus is locally constant. On sharp rates and analytic compactifications of asymptotically conical Kähler metrics

Let $X$ be a complex manifold and $S\hookrightarrow X$ be an embedding of complex submanifold.
